Dutch and amish in name only. Theres an overpriced gift shop with ostensibly made by the amish but labels indicate Chinese origin. Food is pretty good. Theres a salad bar as well. Prices are slightly on the high side, but it is a clean place with decent food.

My least favorite of all amish restaurants. Broasted chicken just ok. Good Dutch taters with cheese sauce & puddings. Bread was dry. No rolls. Buffet not worth 15$ for pasty mashed potatoes. Salad buffet was good but none of it worth 50$ for 2 lunches and 2 pops we couldn't even beg to get refilled. No MAC n cheese on menu. Horrible service. Even the manager who rang us out didn't ask how it was. Obviously they all need to learn today there is competition in customer service! Small bakery. Small gift shop. Amish buggy inside to take pics. Big disappointment!

Not horrible but not what is expected from a home cooked Amish restaurant. Baco-bits, obviously bottled ranch dressing and instant mashed potatoes. The chicken skin was good but very dry. Over all a clean pleasant somewhat expensive restaurant but just not up to par. The Der Dutchman restaurants are far superior.

I just moved to the Wooster Ohio area not long ago. Today my Girlfriend and I were both very hungry and out driving around she said she had it once before an it was very good. I trusted her and I must say it was delicious homemade Amish food. I got the full order of roast beef sandwich and it comes with mashed potatoes the whole plate is covered in a delicious gravy the sandwich I had to use a fork but one of the best I've had it literally melts in my mouth. And the peanut butter shake I got with it was so good the best I've ever had.

We've visited Dutch Kitchen for many years. They have a salad bar and a buffet, along with a menu. Nice variety of food. In addition, they have a gift shoppe, and a banquet hall. Its conveniently located on Route 30 in Dalton, Ohio. A few years ago, I signed up for their birthday club. Every year, they send me a Birthday Certificate valued at $10. I chose the buffet. Homey and great, great food. Honey baked chicken fell off the bone. Salad bar had everything in it, a really delicious chopped broccoli salad that I just wanted more and more. And drum roll please----- peach pie, more like peach tarts I don't know Jon had his cold and I had mine hot with ice cream on top. Oh yummo! O perfect to walk away so full and content and to browse their wonderful little store of goodies. From books to cards to toys to breads to well you'll see, oh and besides having regular specials and menu items they also have a yummy buffet, yea, that's right, you heard me. Go for it, have some fun!

It's been 6 years since we moved out of state and had the opportunity to enjoy the deliciously prepared food here. For me, its the Broasted Chicken. It is still as good today as it was then. It is nice to know some things haven't changed.

We were there for a Scouting event, and was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of the food! The servers were very attentive and friendly, and made sure our group had every thing they needed. The food was high quality, very much what is expected for Amish cooking. It did not disappoint. The banquet facility was very nice and a great size for our group of over a hundred. Will definitely recommend this place!

Food was pretty good , the waitresses were so quick to tend to what ever you wanted. They do Family Style dining or do the Buffet. A wonderful gift shop and a delicious yummy bakery. Prices were right on target.

We took part in the buffet. Pricing was on par at $15 for an adult 1/2 that for a child. The salad/cold food was phenomenal. There were several selections all homemade. Many different types of salads and some dessert options. The warm buffet didn't have much to add in the way of options, but what was provided was wonderful. The roast beef was juicy. The chicken was fried precisely. The ham was a little tough, but not lacking flavor. There were only mashed potatoes and green beans for sides. The beans were fresh but somewhat bland. The potatoes were rich and creamy. There were noodles and gravy as toppers, both complemented nicely. Wait staff was friendly and on spot with refills ready before the drinks were empty.

Stopped by for lunch with my family. The waitress Nora was not the nicest. We didn’t receive bread, kept rushing everyone to decide to order. My significant other asked for cheese on his baked potato and they said they couldn’t do that. Nora served us our food and didn’t offer any condiments. The food was very salty and tasted like it was days old. When we asked for bread she brought two pieces of bread and one was the butt of the bread. When we asked for our check she kind of gave a smart remark of why we wanted it so quickly and didn’t even ask why we didn’t finish our food or if she could replace it with something better. The customer service there was awful and there is a nasty musty smell by the cashier stand. I cannot believe how Nora treated my family. We will not be back.

Not as good as usual. So sad. Ordered 4 piece dark chicken dinner as we had before. I could tell they took it from the buffet instead of cooking it fresh! If I order from the menu, i don't want it from the buffet that's been sitting there. And it sure wasn't hot. Also the mashed potatoes had something hard in it like it stuck to the bottom of a pan. Servers were excellent!

That's right, if you're thinking about coming here, and you're on the fence about whether you should come eat at this restaurant, I'm going to say 'woah!' and stop you right there. Dutch Kitchen is amazing. Period. Full stop. Back out east, I'm used to the quintessential Chinese Buffet, we have them all over, and generally you don't get great food. Enter this quaint restaurant at the back of a cute gift shop, sitting in the shadow of Amish country in Ohio, at the foothills of the mountain that is Lehman's, and such surroundings. Do you feel like all-you-can-eat salad? Got you covered with all the fixings, including a home made creamy Italian dressing. They also have these delicious baby gherkin style pickle chips? A delight. Do you feel like a traditional meal? They offer that in a style not unlike specials of the day in large chain restaurants, but with a more down home feel. How about a sandwich? Try the sizzler! With beef, onion, and swiss, you can't go wrong. Finally though, we come back to the buffet. They have a full entree buffet which I didn't get to take part in, but I got to observe. It looked fantastic! Our service was given with a smile, staff were friendly and approachable, and to accompany our meal we were offered fresh, warm bread. It was so good! They have signature apple butter and a peanut butter spread they sell at the store in the front, too, along with those pickles. In conclusion, if you're coming up on the intersection of "what's for dinner?" and "I don't know." my recommendation is to put on the brakes at the "woah" sign, and park yourself at Dutch Kitchen. If I were in the area longer, I'd totally go back again!

I was a little disappointed, honestly. I had heard great things about it, and when I found myself in that part of the state I decided to try it out. The service was excellent, very friendly. The food was...ok. there wasn't a lot to choose from on the hot bar. What there was to choose from wasn't bad, just very bland, and the chicken was greatly over-held.

The food was very good. Service was great. Nice clean restaurant. A peanut butter pie was purchased to eat later at home it was delicious. I had the Honey baked chicken was very good. Others in our party of 6 adults and 2 children had the buffet they all said the chicken and ham was tasty. But the roast beef and turkey lacked flavor maybe try having it in low sodium chicken and beef broth. All in all we'll be back again.

Was so disappointed. Everytime we went this place was so good. But we went yesterday 8/8/19 at 11:30 for lunch and it seemed like a lot of the food was leftovers from the previous day. The meatloaf looked good and I made sure I took a piece from the bottom and when I went to eat it it was barely warm. Looked cooked but I wasn't going to trust it. The chicken was just ok and the only other meat was a combination turkey and pork that I also think was leftovers pieces they put in a broth. It was just ok too. Kinda long stringy pieces. Good mashed potatoes but the gravy also looked old. Bread was good and so was the waitress but really was disappointed overall. Used to be 5 star!

What a disappointment this was. We've eaten here before and enjoyed it but tonight was really awful. No green beans just frozen veggies with no seasonings. The baked fish was rubbery and floating in some kind of greasy looking water. The service was slow and the waiter talked in monotones and wouldn't look at you. I should have stopped at McDonald's and saved $30.

Ok NOT great. There was more variety on the salad bar then there was on the main buffet. The mac n cheese was less then good, not sure how anyone can mess that up unless they are using cheap ingredients because it was too greesy and not tasteful. Also, the buffet desert selection was very limited. The cute stuff in their shop was nice to look at though.

We usually have a great experience here. But my husband was sick for 3 days following our meal last week. He thinks it may have been something on the salad bar because he was fine until he ate his salad. He said it may have been the pickled eggs that he had. By the time he got to the buffet part of the meal, he was in the bathroom and couldn't eat. Hope it was just a fluke of somekind. Love eating there.

Not impressed was there for Alzheimers charity bingo. Food definitely not worth the five dollars!!! Sorry but scrambled eggs, corn fritters, and donuts , does not make breakfast!!! Very, very disappointed, and lunch, I could went to Subway for that!!! Not impressed, they spend money to have it here and that is what they got for their money!!! I will definitely tell my friends not to go there for the food for Alzheimer's bingo at Dutch Kitchen to eat at home before coming!!!

My family and I had breakfast on the last day of the anniversary event. We all had delicious made-to-order omelettes prepared by Chef Craig, which was a very cool experience! Our waitress was attentive and friendly and the staff we saw clearing tables, seating people, etc. were welcoming. A few of us also got the breakfast buffet, which featured pancakes, bacon, fruit, and other tasty dishes. We will definitely be back. Hopefully there will be another event featuring Chef Craig!
