Not impressed - we arrived an hour before closing and they were mopping - the bleach smell was very strong! Food was okay, service was not what you would expect. I asked if lettuce, tomato, pico, etc. came with the meal I ordered and was told yes - when it did not arrive with my meal, I was told it would be extra if I wanted this. I would have picked something else if I had been told accurate information. There are too many great Mexican restaurants out there for me to go back to this one.

Trash! My husband and I asked for shrimp tacos three separate times. We were given beef, then we were given chicken. Then no one came to check on us at all. Our server was more concerned about flirting with her co-worker that making sure the customers were taken care of. They can’t seem to get it right and we do not plan on returning.

Cinco de Mayo 2019 - limited menu with no presentation, plastic cups, paper bowls. Food was unusually quite bland, and rice and beans were not served with tacos as usual. I understand they expected an unusual volume, but the reduction in service and value a big disappointment. It won't keep me away however, the food is normally good, but I will stay far away from here on 5/5.

One of my favorite local Mexican places. Not quite your standard Tex-Mex place with the very standard menu Viva tries to be a better and it works. It still has most everything you could ever want and the drinks are reasonably priced as well.

Morrisville has the Best kept secret - - - Viva Mexico on Davis Drive. What a great place to meet up with your friends and family for a wonderful dinner. The food was not only great but the presentation was 5 Stars. The manager and owner of Viva Mexico Balu made sure that we had the best services. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Really great food and good specials on Monday night! Any Marg on the menu 4.99!! Will be back soon. I had the enchiladas and the red sauce was rich and flavorful. They used tinga chicken in those as well so there was a lot of additional flavor that you don't typically get from your average mexican restaurant. The portions were huge and the ambiance was very nice with the bright colors and neon signs.

My husband and I have been to Totopos before (which we believe is their sister company) and have always enjoyed the food. Viva Mexican Kitchen has similar food items, but the service was exceptional. All of the staff were very friendly and came back frequently for refills. The manager also took our order personally and made sure to greet us at the end of our meal as well. Good food and good service. Will definitely be back again.

The food was DELICIOUS! I'm from Texas and love me some Tex-Mex so this place made me pretty happy. Amazing queso, great chips and salsa, and my taco salad had the works (rice, beans, cheese, both chicken and beef....etc). The service felt a little short since it was the lunch rush, but the server did check in often, even if for a quick second.

Pretty good place with really good food. Stopped her for lunch with my wife. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer, I should have stopped there but ordered lunch anyways. I ordered the steak fajitas and my wife ordered the keto bowl with tofu. I was amazed at the sheer size of the platter they brought out for my lunch time fajitas. I ended up taking most of it home. The steak was good, not great, but it's for fajitas so I am not expecting a steakhouse level steak. Other meats and veggies were great. Rice and refried beans were on par with other local restaurants. My wife's keto bowl had a plethora of ingredients that I should have paid closer attention to. She said that the flavors all mixed well and that the bowl had a kick of heat to it

It’s good place to have Mexican food. Good customer service and good food. Prices are reasonable. For kids they give drawing sheet and crayons. Tortillas chips and salsa for everyone. Salsa was good. If you are there for bday dine or lunch don’t forget to ask them for bday surprise.

Food is ok but the service is terrible. You wait 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge you are the door, another 15 minutes for someone to even ask you for your drink, 20 minute wait on food, then if you are lucky someone will bring a check 10 minutes later if you do not have to flag someone down to get it. I could have driven home and made my own tacos from scratch in the time it took for someone to take my order. Save your time and money and go to one of the many other mexican places in the area.

Food was below average at best and WAY OVER PRICED. My “plate” was $13.99 but all I received was a very small poblano pepper with a few tiny salad shrimp thrown on top with some cheese. That’s it! No beans, no rice - NOTHING ELSE - $13.99!! I couldn’t believe it when she sat it on the table. I kept looking at the door to the kitchen thinking she forgot something. NOPE! It’s partially my fault though - I did not look at the price before ordering and I assumed the “plate” came with rice and beans like most meals at a Mexican food place. Service here was sloppy and below average - had to ask the waitress to refill our drinks several times. The few times I did see any waitress at all come from the kitchen was when she was in a dark corner of the restaurant texting on her phone. No one smiles here - the employees/staff we “encountered” seemed tired and unhappy with their job. Also, we sat for a very long time with dirty dishes on our table after we were done eating before someone FINALLY came to remove them. The gnats and flies buzzing around were very happy that the dirty plates stayed on our table for so long though... We will NOT be returning to this restaurant. Mi Cancun Mexican restaurant is WAY better than this place and the service there is PHENOMENAL!! I’m going back to Mi Cancun!!

He was impressed by the manager coming out to discuss his gluten free needs, but something happened nonetheless. We cannot go back and risk an unsafe meal but if you are not gluten free the food is good and the service is friendly.

So I came across this hidden gem about two years ago when it was under different ownership and the name Viva DF. I loved the food, decor, and cocktails so I won't lie, I was hesitant to return when I noticed the recent name change. However, I was pleasantly surprised. A group of us arrived on National Margarita Day about an hour before closing. The hostess was nice and very informative about the menu when asked questions. While waiting for our food half of our party decided to play the indoor/outdoor games and seemed to really enjoy it. Our food arrived and I was super surprised at the portions. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and there was a LOT of shrimp and they were pretty large. The restaurant was beginning to close and the owner came over to speak to us. I thought he was going to tell us to wrap it up, but surprisingly he offered to get us more drinks and told us to take our time and play the games as long as we wanted. I can't remember his name, but he was a really nice guy and answered my questions on why the decor had changed and if ownership switched. All in all I left pretty full but excited to return!

This is such a well done place. The decor is lovely. We entered with high expectations. Unfortunately food was not as good. I'd recommend the hot sauce. Guacamole tacos was just about okay. I read Monday to Thursday happy hour deals and they looked quite tempting. Tuesday is $1 taco. So definitely gonna try again but not on a weekend.

This was my second visit, first visit being when it operated as Viva DF. New ownership kept the same menu for the most part if I remember correctly. The ambiance has steered a little away from “street taco / tequila bar” to a, well, Mexican restaurant. We went on a Friday evening for margaritas, chips and dips. Margaritas were okay for the price. Overall not bad service.

This is my second time here at Viva Mexican Kitchen. I have to say, the food was absolutely amazing! We ordered a parillada for 2 people and it was worth it! The chicken was seasoned perfectly. The steak was so tender, it was eaten in seconds! The owner, Salvador, is really nice. You can tell he cares about his business and he's personable. For the owner- Thank you for making this a great experience. There are not many restaurant owners out there that put a lot of care into their work or business. We will be coming back!

Service: When I walked in it seemed a little slow and the hostess wasn't super inviting but, she warmed up to us later. Environment: The decor is very lively and nicely done. However it was warmer inside than I would have liked it, (which is warm considering I keep my apartment at 76 degrees. ) Additionally, flies kept buzzing around our table and food. I think they got in with an open door or something. Food: We ordered the Parrillada for two, and it was very very delicious. A large portion that I still ended up taking leftovers home. Drinks: I ordered a house margarita, it was large, but meh. It wasn't well blended. And I didn't care for another one.

The tables are brightly colored and the kids menu has a drawing and 2 crayons on it, so kids enjoy this place. Very friendly waiting staff. Have eaten here twice and both times did not disappoint. The salsa and chips you get upon arrival are super yummy. I’ve ordered the shrimp tacos (minus the chorizo) both times because they are fabulous. Friends and family have ordered the fajitas, fish tacos, and several other items and everyone has loved their food. Service is prompt and friendly. This is our new go to Mexican restaurant!

Horrible food. I ordered the chicken Tanga. The chicken was so watery and disgusting. The menus were falling apart and looked as if they haden't been cleaned ever. Margaritas tasted bad. Bad service! They will argue with you and not fix your drink even when it clearly tastes bad ! When all 4 people’s drink tasted bad and they still wont fix it, its bad!!! Instead they will say that Patron is sweet and that its making the drink taste like that. Ingredients that are marked fresh come from commercial mixes! Dont waste your time if you are craving good drinks or good customer service!! This place is horrible!! Just wanting to enjoy an evening and becomes a horrible experience

We had to wait over an hour to have our food delivered to us which forced us to walk out. We were the first ones on the patio yet 2 other families got their food BEFORE us.
