Listen! The Saw Mill is on Castle Hayne Rd in Wrightsboro and EVERYTHING that we ate there was AWESOME! They have great varietys and Personal Service like we were family! It was a Thursday evening and the place was PACKED but we were served quickly! Not being familiar with the menu it took us a few minutes to decide but the wait staff was very patient and friendly and the food was mouth watering delicious! We took out the dessert, strawberry cake, and had it with coffee at home and IT was delicious too. We would DEFINITELY recommend THE SAWMILL to anybody. A BIG BANG FOR THE BUCK! Try it and see for yourself!

Was tasty, attentive staff. Friend ordered ham and didn't specify what type so it was super salty. Just be aware of you are a ham fan. I had the Saw Mill Benny (white gravy instead of hollandaise) and it was pretty tasty.

I really hate to give this place a one star review because the food was great. We went for dinner for the first time and ended up leaving and taking our food to go because the head Chef was screaming and cussing at his line cook. There were children in the restaurant, the poor waitresses and waiters looked mortified and apologized a million times for something that had nothing to do with them and they all tried to tell him, but were mocked. I would be embarrassed to work with someone like that. The food was great, too bad he has a terrible attitude. I understand the restaurant industry is stressful and when people make mistakes it really throws things off, but NOONE deserves to be spoken to the way he did to that poor cook. People make mistakes, especially when they are learning, but I'm sure he made that poor guy feel like scum. Also, your customers don't want to hear you screaming and cussing, any restaurant I've worked at, if you EVER talked to another coworker like that your butt would be out the door. Everyone has bad days, but this was ridiculous.

Good coffee, good breakfast. I was a little disappointed that they didnt have hashbrowns only home fries that were a bit dry and lacked season. The staff was awesome and friendly, food came out quick, fresh and hot. Biscuits and inhouse gravy us what I would get if I go back for breakfast but would give them another try for lunch. Also there is another diner across the street called Carolina Gals I would like to try too.

We only had an hour to grab a quick bite from the Wilmington airport and we couldn’t be happier we came across this little gem! The BEST fried pickles, we enjoyed our meals, our server Bailey was sweet and friendly, and we were out of there in a flash with happy stomachs and to-go boxes because the portions are generous! Great prices too! We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Sawmill in Wrightsboro used to be my go to place for a random afternoon meal. I've noticed from my last few visits here, things are declining. Let's start with the positive. Their tea is very good, the area is always clean, and my waitress/waiter is usually efficient with a friendly smile. Here are some areas of opportunity to improve: Retrain your cooks. When I tell you well done, that doesn't mean just the outside of the hamburger(took photo). This happened a few times and staff notified. Install a few cameras near the cash register and the back corner of the bar. You will be able to see the employees that work and the ones that are busy with their phones or talking amongst themselves. This will be a win-win situation. Please remove the jar by the cash register that says "Cashier Tips". Actually it was my waitress that went to the register and handled the money exchange and several times in the past too. We all also overheard a lady saying they were $25 over in the cash drawer. This sends a message that someone got short changed a few times. I would love to give this restaurant hope in the future, maybe another try and see if these areas have improved.

I just want to add from a previous review as I was the oook being treated the way no one should be treated ever! The night chef Josh,, who treated me with so much disrespect is still employed with this so called business. This all after I was told that this is a re accruing issue and he was being terminated by a manager(Lynn) and head chef(Mike). The owner Charles told me via text that no longer worked there after I walked out. This place does not know how to treat people and in my opinion there are many things going on behind the scene... That isn't.. let's just say, business like! It's awesome that even the customers know it was the chef talking to a cook! Life is soo much better!

Food is good! Lots of variety, and the prices are fair. Only complaint is I can't seem to get crispy fries there. Twice I've been for take out and twice I've asked several times to be sure the fries are well done. I get home and they're limp as noodles. My fault, I guess I should have checked the second time. The only other thing is the little bowl at the register that says "cashier's tip" That's a little much. I've never seen that before. Overall, it's a nice place. I'd recommend it without a doubt.

The sawmill cafe in Wrightsboro is a very good place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Tonight I had the oyster plate and it had 17 fat oysters on the plate. Delicately fried very moist and slightly salty taste. Take a photo and post on FB and get 10% off.

Usually my experiences here are pretty pleasant, but on this particular occasion I ordered a sandwich plainly telling the waitress what I wanted on it. When she brought the sandwich back it had lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise which I had specifically not asked for. I proceeded to tell the waitress in a kind tone that I had ordered my sandwich plain and she was very nice about it and said that a new sandwich would be brought right out for me. However when she came back with my sandwich I noticed there was still mayonnaise and pieces of lettuce on it. The cook had simply scraped off the things I had not wanted and gave me the exact same sandwich. This may have been a one time thing, but personally I don’t want someone with this kind of behavior handling my food.

Because of the weather the restaurant was very short-handed and we brought a group of 12. The restaurant had constant traffic but our waitress did a great job keeping up with us.
