I have visited the Flame many times in the past couple years. The experience is always the same. Top notch food a timely service. The kitchen is open to the dining area so you can see your food getting prepared and talk to the chef. I almost always get a big filet mignon and it is cooked to perfection every time. Mashed potatoes to die for. For a small town, this is really good food!

This was a waste of time when the average 8 oz. Steak in Sanford,N.C. is 14- 15 dollars and with a family reunion the meal was 34 dollars for what when the salads were served on saucer dishes..come on are you serious. I felt disgusted I would have been better off with Golden Corral.

I have visited The Flame several times since I started working in Sanford. The steaks are always cooked correctly to order, the sides are awesome, and the salad bar is the best in the area. I highly recommend the blt and salad for lunch. Service is polite and quick and the food is great. I have never been disappointed at lunch or dinner!

We last minute decided to stop here for lunch... so happy we did! The Bang’n shrimp salad was amazing. The shrimp was served on the side with unlimited trips to the salad bar (which was clean and had everything you could want on a salad), my husband had the beef tips salad. His tips were cooked and seasoned perfectly. We will definitely stop for lunch again!!!

Thursday night meal. Disappointed.. water-logged "baked" sweet potato, bland "crowned filet". No salad included. Replaced the bread they used to make with pre-made rolls. Generic. Whipped butter in plastic cups not butter. Meat and crabcake virtually tasteless. Regret spending $28

The crab cakes there are some of the best I've ever had. Scratch that, THE BEST CRAB CAKES! I would classify this place as upscale but still casual. You will be fine with shorts and a t shirt, but I would recommend a collared shirt. Once inside you will appreciate the atmosphere, and then you may wish you wore a collared shirt lol. The prices are on the higher side, but this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. Worth every penny! Did I forget to mention the cheesecake? Try it!

In town for the Southern SxS shoot and ate at The Flame on Friday 4/26. Excellent meal! the shrimp appetizer was excellent. The entree, The Crown, filet with crab cake was also delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful and we were seated right away. Very nice atmosphere. Will return. Very impressed. Thank you!

Okay-in town for a couple of weeks and being a meat man was told to try out The Flame Steakhouse. Here is the review - clean with great service from start to finish. The food - ordered the 12 oz prime rib medium rare with mushrooms and onions. Meat was cooked correctly, but only nine oz palatable and of that 5 were chewy as an old goat; yes I have eaten goat... The mushrooms were cold (not eaten) and the onions warm; must have been cooked separate. Not the worst, but I will not go back soon.

Totally and wonderfully surprised by the incredible service and delicious meal we experienced at The Flame this evening! We had a small group in town for work and wanted to find a good meal...the menu is very low-priced and the building is unassuming, so to be honest we had very modest expectations. It ended up being one of the most exceptional dinners we've had in a very long time, only made better by fantastic, welcoming staff. Thanks for an unexpectedly enjoyable night!

My husband and I ate here in February of this year. The tenderloin tips for an appetizer were very good. We both ordered steaks, baked potatoes and got the salad bar. The salad bar was very good. My husband's steak was perfect. When I received mine, it wasn't a steak, was a pork chop. The waitress corrected the error and brought out my steak that I ordered. Other then that error the food was great, service was perfect.

Waited 33 minutes on a steakburger, cancelled it before they brought it to table, waitress still brought it to the table with a takeout box. Owner had an attitude and said I refused to take it, I corrected her,I told her I cancelled it..with her attitude tonight, I will never spend another dime in that place, overpriced and overrated.

Ordered the salmon. Surprisingly it was the only thing on the plate except a like wedge. Every other upscale place in the triangle includes risotto, vegetables, etc. It tasted on par and was well cooked. I left still hungry

Came here thinking the menu would be similar to a place like outback, I was pleasantly surprised when I was wrong. (I felt a bit out of place with my ripped jeans, but no one seemed to mind or take notice which was nice) We started our night with fried green beans which wear amazing! They were crispy and soft, hardly any grease. I ordered a Filet Mignon medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. They also use fresh bacon and chives in the baked potatoes which is nice. My fiancé got the prime rib special with loaded mashed potatoes which was nicely flavored as well. Overall, Although was a bit more than we planned to spend, it was worth every penny! We will definitely be back!

OH !!! By far one of the best times I have had in a long time. Our waitress was excellent always there if we needed something to drink or to ask about our meal. Let me tell you the salad bar was GREAT.. But the best was I could not decide what I liked better my chicken or my husband's steak. Cooked perfectly, the steak was. The chicken was just amazingly GREAT. I was and still highly impressed with our time there and look forward to going back more often. Prices are perfect for the food you get. It was a perfect time.. We enjoy our friends wedding reception. No one sent anything back. All of the meals were g delicious. I like their salad bar. Even when there's a crowd the wait staff kept up with it all just fine. The bill wasn't as expensive as I'd expected. I was able to get some great candidate pics of the newly Weds. It's the perfect wedding reception place when you have a dozen people to your perfectly sized intimate tasteful reception. The kids are always hungry first it's great when the wait staff is smart enough to have some crackers out, just enough to keep kids quiet but not too much to spoil their dinner.

Our food was absolutely delicious!! My husband had the seafood platter with the crab cake. He is very picky when it comes to seafood and he loved it. I had the chicken breast with spinach, mushrooms, onions and wild rice. It was wonderful. Very nice salad bar with lots of items to choose from. Upscale atmosphere and good date night spot! You can dress up or wear jeans and be comfortable. We will most certainly be coming back!

Full 5 star dining experience. We've looked for a good local steakhouse and this one is it. Matt was our waiter. He was fantastic. Took really good care of us. One of us had prime rib. He said it was one of the best he had ever had. I chose the mixed grill. Steak, chicken and shrimp. Yum their grilled shrimp was better than any I've ever had. Oh and this restaurant has a full bar with several kinds of top shelf bourbons. We will return.

Missing.. you may need to call ahead reserve a table, especially on Friday or Saturday evening . This place is top shelf.. GREAT everything.. love it..!! Kathy's lasagna is off the hook. I've never had a bad meal or bad service here. I have had around 20 meals .. not one complaint.. Go once.. and you will go back.. Good job Flame staff!!

Started off with bang scallops while they were tasty no bang very disappointed. Grilled chicken was overcooked and dry best thing on the plate were the mashed potatoes yet they were supposed to be parmesan but could not taste the parmesan. Early evening not crowded dissapointed overall had planned for 3 days to eat there as I knew I would be in town. Oh well perhaps I'll try again sometime.
