Came in here with my boyfriend to try their new dinner menu! It was absolutely fantastic.. He had the halibut and I had the duck. Just perfect! Both the server, Josh, and Chef Alek did an amazing job from greeting us at the door to the last bite. Can't wait to see what's in store for this great place. Will definitely be back in the future!

What a RIP OFF! Whoever thought putting this wanna be high society restaurant in this location needs go back to selling shoes! This place charged $93.00 for 8 spoonfuls of penne pasta, a cold steak about the size and look of a hockey puck. This did include hand foraged mushrooms. Wouldn't all mushrooms be hand foraged? There were ants on our seats and table. We brought this to their attention. We were not offered another table. We were given the check and it was not even delivered by the waitress. It was delivered by someone we never spoke to prior. This place charges high end prices without delivering the quality or service. Don't waste your time.

This business is exceptionally unprofessional. I was willing to overlook the first missed obligation (set by the owner) to send me a proposal because of the glowing reviews I had seen online. I even, hesitantly, tried to overlook the second obligation (again, set by the owner) to send me a proposal for my wedding date. I have exchanged, to date, seven (7) emails with the owner of this business. In that time period, all I received was excuses, including being "unbelievably swamped" and the owner feeling "under the weather last week with the flu." I completely understand someone being sick and busy, but when I am told I will receive a proposal by a certain date by the owner of a business, I expect to receive said proposal. This business has more than one employee, and even if the owner is the only person to do proposals, she had two and a half weeks to do so. In addition, I never received, nor will I ever receive, that proposal. I was told the company had my date available. This was apparently not true. The last email I received from the owner informed me that they are not available for my date because they "have had clients semi booked for that date and many of them have confirmed." If there were enough clients semi-booked that "many" (note, not all) of them confirming makes the date unavailable, I should have never been told the date was available. The owner may be polite and friendly, but this is NOT all that is required to professionally run a business of this caliber. I highly advise future clients to steer clear of this caterer for fear that they will be given the same run-around I was given.

We recently had Reid's cater an event in our home to celebrate my son's recent nuptials. I can not say enough nice things about this company. Tina was extremely helpful in planning an incredible meal. All of the guests raved about the freshness and overall taste and presentation. Our servers, Ed and Christal, were punctual and extremely pleasant. Ed finished preparing some of the food in our kitchen, so that it was hot at the time of serving. If you have an event that is special, this is the company to call to make it perfect. Michelle B.

Reid’s catered our wedding and the food was phenomenal. We had a slider bar with lobster rolls that were to die for, we also had the filet slider and chicken confit sliders they were good but the lobster overall won over everyone in our wedding. Only reason I would not give 5 stars was the cake we ordered it was very dry and did not have much flavor to it at all. If I could do my catering again I would get my cake at another baker and stick with Reid’s for the food only!

Really don't know where to start. Todd and Alec are doing an amazing job. My friend and I dropped in for our first time on Tuesday where they were actually doing burgers and fried chicken sandwiches and featuring a local IPA for Tall Boy Tuesdays. One of the best burgers I've ever had in my entire life, let alone for just $10. We got almost one of everything on the menu actually. The appetizers were amazing, the burger was amazing, my buddy got the fried chicken sandwich in that was amazing, and then I think we got one of each dessert for our table and everything was phenomenal. We dropped in tonight on a Thursday night for a more standard fine dining type of menu and needless to say we were not disappointed in the least. There hasn't been a single thing I've tasted there yet that wasn't amazing. Granted we've only been twice, but we sampled almost everything on the menu both times and it was all absolutely amazing. Our waiter and host, Matt, was amazing as well. Overall great food and great atmosphere. So glad we discovered this place and so glad they're doing what they do. Keep it up! We will be regulars!

This past Friday we hosted a big birthday bash at Eagles Nest. We had family and friends coming from a number of different states. We wanted the event to be perfect. Reid’s Catering was beyond perfection. The staff was absolutely amazing. The food was off the charts. You know the sign of a good party when everyone days afterwards was raving over how good the food tasted and how the staff service was A+++. The bartender Laura, made exceptional Martinis, Old Fashions and any cocktail one could think of. Thank you Reid’s for making our event that much more special and memorable!!!!

I would be lying if i said the food was not good. Our waitress was professional albeit with humor; however, the service we received from the cook was ridiculous for any restaurant of any level. We ordered 24 Oysters as part of our 194 dollar meal. We asked for melted butter. I watched the waitress ask the cook and watched his smug shake of the head. Even the waitress was visually and verbally apologetic for his response. After dinner i had some choice words with the cook and then was told to never come back and likely deserved it. I wish I would have left much earlier. Would not spend a cent at this place again. Enjoyed dining at some of the top restaurants in the world all over the world as i live in Johannesburg, South Africa and there is more to fine dining than good food.

WOW. I am not much for reviewing a business but when you get FIVE STAR service in the catering business I think you owe it to them to let others know. Tina and her team pulled off the best catering experience I have ever had, The food was crazy delicious and there was never a moment when she or one of her crew members was not refilling or bringing something new . My friends and guests are still raving about the service. Not sure how she does it but who cares? If you want the best caterer on the East Coast, hire Tina Houston and Reid's Catering.

Taco Bell earned their 5 stars. One of your employees placed a molded/stale dessert on the hood of my car, we also have a dash cam with the footage. Not funny and I’ve never even been to your restaurant so maybe you have good food. But I find the prank pulled by one of your employees NOT funny and very rude. I was just in the cafe and the waitress at the counter was very rude. We ordered tomato bisque and she must have misunderstood our accents (we are from England visiting my parents who have a place here) and she gave us a different soup. Right away we went back and said we were given the wrong soup. I was then rudely told that I was wrong and that I had ordered a different soup. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated and will not be returning.

Absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh and perfectly seasoned with wonderful herbs and lovely flavor combinations. This is exactly what I needed today :-) The butternut & squash bisque is to die for! I also had the North Carolina sunburst trout sandwich, which is really more a work of art than a sandwich. If you're ever in this quaint part of NC, make this a stop for lunch :-)

Reid’s recently catered our rehearsal dinner and did a fantastic job! We had BBQ at the Apple Barn in Valle Crucis, and it was perfect. We were thrilled to share some great NC BBQ with our out-of-town guests. A month after the wedding and I still have people commenting on the fabulous rehearsal dinner meal. Tina gladly accommodated my food allergies by making some of the mac & cheese, rolls, and pie gluten free, which was really nice. The staff were friendly and professional. They even saw the gluten free options going quickly so they pulled those aside to save some for me! This is not the first time I’ve worked with Reid’s catering and it certainly won’t be the last. They always do a wonderful job, and I would highly recommend them!

We had Reid's cater a dinner a couple of years ago, and it was fantastic, so we were excited to see that Tina was opening a cafe up on 105. We went today and it was delicious. The location (next to Eric's wine and cheese) is very nicely decorated, with outdoor seating available. The service was very friendly and efficient. They say they are planning to be open all winter, which will be wonderful! The chicken and chorizo soup was hearty and scrumptious. The beet, egg, mushroom, mint, yellow pepper, cucumber sandwich was great. We will be back soon.

The food was awful!!! I ordered a grilled chicken breast to go with my salad. It was tiny, like 2 oz and fatty! I’ve never seen anything like it. Everyone else at our table were disappointed With their food. The bartender didn’t know how to make a gimlet. He tried. It was not good, but to add to the disappointment, he served us a major short pour! It looked like half of the drink was gone. Who does that?!? Remake the damn drink and deliver a full glass. Very disappointed! I’ll never go back.

Atmosphere is bright, bright, bright, and noise level is terrible. We could not even talk and there were only 3 tables in there. Service was amazing! Food was good and if they would tone down the noise I would go back but not until then. Also they only had one Chardonnay by the glass and it was $10!! All the wine was expensive. Others enjoyed the mixed drinks.

The staff is very accommodating; the food selection is innovative, interesting, and simply delicious – from the appetizers, through the entrees, and finally to the wonderful selection of deserts! Went for lunch and was told there was a 45 min wait. Only had to wait about 15 min instead so that was good. Food was cooked perfectly but a little bland for my tastes. I had the oysters with potatoes and cole slaw. It was so so for me, nothing special. Lacked flavor and seasoning. I will say the atmosphere was unique. It’s like they were going for casual upscale which is...different but overall nice place for lunch. I also enjoyed the smaller menu.

Lunch and dinner are always out of sight!! Fresh local ingredients as well as wild harvested items are always included on the menu. I love how the options change every time I visit. Everyone is very knowledgeable about the food and as nice as can be. Looking forward to their next farm table and wine paring dinner, its dining at its finest!!! I would recommend them to anyone for a trip to the cafe or have Reid's cater your next event as well.

What a great find! My salad with sweet potatoes and goat cheese balls was superb. The dressing was original and delicious. The decor is so tasteful and comfortable. Love the bar too. Love the vibe. The service was terrific. Will definitely go back when we visit the area again.

The cafe is beautiful, the service was great and the food was amazing. I had a side salad with an delicious apple cider vinaigrette and Curry chicken salad sandwich on focaccia bread. It was on of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The Pisgah Pale Ale was sooo good! This is definitely a must visit!
