Service was friendly. Cozy atmosphere. My grilled cheese sandwich was not grilled, bread seemed toasted and cheese barely melted. Black bean soup was okay. My husband had the pulled pork which he said was okay. My son enjoyed the cheese quesadilla, it came with a really nice cup of fruit. Chocolate cake was good.

Our visit today was not as great as it was previously...two years ago. My roast beef sandwich didn't taste fresh and it was on the dry side. We will try it again though because it was previously outstanding and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt..

what a lovely find in waynesville nc...food was fresh and tasty..place was simply decorated but clean..staff was pleasant and helpful! We had the chicken soup..BLT..with salad and mac n cheese

We had the Monday special, BBQ Chicken on ciabatta and I got the red potato salad and my date got the turkey and rice soup. Everything on the menu looked absolutely scrumptious, including the frozen soup and take home meals. The service was fast and friendly and the place was packed with mostly single and double tables. The decor was clean and bright, it's get your own silverware and drinks and that station was clean, neat and organized. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars today is because the soup was boring and bland. Overall, I would definitely visit again!

A local Waynesville and Haywood county gem. One of the best places for lunch in Haywood County. They also have great take home meals.

Food is excellent! My friends and family eat here often. Open M-Saturday. Dinner is bought to go off the catering menu during the day, but lunch is served in the restaurant.

I find this restaurant to be a very nice change from fast food. It serves very good and healthy food. Everything I have ordered has been wonderful, both in taste and appeal. Seats about 40 people and has limited parking. The one drawback is its hours of operation. Closes around 3 pm. The staff are great people and friendly.

Nice little local eatery. Pimento Cheese sandwich was made in house, and came with side, and pickles. I think the pickles were made in house too. Also had a $2 cookie that was bigger than my face. Staff was friendly, everything is fresh.

Went to Kanini’s for the first time today at lunch ... what a find! I’d rate it as the best restaurant in Waynesville! The food was exquisite, the atmosphere warm and the service was great. But they’re only open until 2:30 ... :( I can’t wait to try their take-home meals one day soon!

What a gem of a cafe! Delicious daily specials to eat in the restaurant, or prepared frozen meals to take home. All freshly made on the premises. Their carrot cake is the best I've ever had anywhere!
