Best hot dogs in Charlotte. I eat here quite often and have yet to have a bad meal. The atmosphere is great and it never takes too long to get your food. It's especially nice to sit on their rooftop patio and enjoy the good weather with their fantastic dogs. Make sure you check out the dog and sausage of the month before you order, half the time I end up getting one of those.

This a great place for family or date night. Their hotdog selection is creative and tasteful. They have veggie and turkey hot dogs. You can get a jumbo beef dog. They offer chicken sandwiches aswell. They have wine and local craft beers. The restaurant has a old time rocker vibe and plays a variety of music from the 60s to the 2000s. They have tv, booths, highchairs. This location was featured on the food Network. THE PRICES ARNT CRAZY. 4$ for a hotdog? It's no gas station one. Restaurants like doing that with hot dogs but guess what? Come in Tuesday and get your gourmet hotdog for 2$. They have specials for every day of the week. Enjoy

Just moved to Charlotte, first time coming here and got the Borracho Nachos - got home and found out they gave me a small to-go bowl of just beans (and I paid $1 extra for the side). Not great.

This is a cool place with friendly service. I am not a fan of hot dogs, so I had a brat with queso and a side of tater tots. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. Drinks are self-service. The brat was excellent and was delivered promptly to my table. I honestly would have preferred to wait a few more minutes though, if it meant the tots would be cooked more thoroughly. Some of them were cold inside. The early 90's music (Wilson Phillips, Bon Jovi) was a nice touch to the atmosphere. I would definitely give this place another shot, but I would specify that I wanted my tots cooked well done.

Very good brat. My husband had the hot dog and he is very picky about his hot dog . He loved his hot dog and the tater tots but my fave were the pickled peppers, house pickles, pickled red onions from the pickle bar. We will eat here again mos definitely.

When my husband is able to meet me for lunch we always end to st JJ's since it's not too far from my office. I'm a creature of habit and always order The Char-Heel 2 dog combo. Chill, slaw, onions and mustard. Any time crinkle fries are on the menu, they're a must order die for me. Even if the line is long it moves quickly. My husband said they have the best Chicago dogs outside of Chicago itself.

The food was pretty good and the staff was friendly. I had the Italian Sausage with onion rings, my only gripe was that the cashier didnt mention that kids eat free (on Wednesdays). I had my nephew with me, who initially didn't want anything (but I would've made him get something if I knew he could eat for free) but once he saw my food he changed his mind. When I go to order him something this is when I I notice that the menu says kids eat free and when I mention this to the cashier, I'm told that you have to place the orders at the same time. I ended up paying for a meal that should've been free, which was disappointing.

If you are looking for a really good dog then JJs needs to be on your list. The place is great; food, design, atmosphere, this place hits it all. Casual spot with retro decor. That is if you consider 80s to 90s retro. The food always hits all the marks. The hotdog selection is top shelf. The new brewery series of special designed hotdogs is an amazing addition to an already great menu.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! As being from DC we don't gave anything like this and when going by it caught my eye. When walking in the staff greeted us with a big smile and an open heart. One of the workers was kind as I am very indecisive and took the time to go over everything with my. I ordered the "quater hounder" and the "chili coney" with onion rings and let's just say this I ate EVERY crumb in my basket!! It was so good I went back the next day and got another quater hounder and the "charheel" and an Italian sausage with peppers and onions and more onion rings and again ate every crumb!!! My sister lives in Concord and when I come down this is going to be a NUST STOP PLACE EVERYTINE!!! Thank you guys for your amazing hospitality and incredible food!!!

It would be five stars except the parking situation is always difficult (small lot), and the prices are right on the edge of ridiculous. That might be due to Dilworth more than JJs...

When I noticed that this place has been on television and considering the fact that I was spending $10 on a hot dog chips and drink that it was going to be phenomenal. It was the exact opposite I couldn't be more disappointed with a $10 meal the hot dog was very rubbery hey doused mustard on it to the point where you couldn't eat it without making a big sloppy mess and big surprise no napkins in the bag. I was very excited for this place but now I am very disappointed and I will not go back. My best advice if you want a gourmet hot dog make it yourself. For $10 I could have put on a hot dog picnic and I guarantee you that they would not taste like rubber dogs !

The kasekreiner was one of the most delicious bites I've ever eaten. The sausage had much more depth of flavor than I've tasted before and the sauerkraut and pickled onions coupled with the dark mustard made meal. If I go back, I'd just order two of these!

This place is fantastic. When you come in the place has a hip feeling to it. It is small-ish but seating is generally always available with seating inside and outside on the roof. There are various types of hot dogs with various toppings, fries and, my favorite, tater tots. The food is made fast and well and the prices are reasonable. I enjoy this place a lot and would recommend it to any that love food.

This is one of my favorite places there are only a few places to get a really good hot dog and this is one of them. The best is Chili Man of course, but he isn't open all the time so J.J.'s Red Hots is always a great alternative. I am basic when it comes to hot dogs so can speak to their specialty dogs, but the Hot Dogs are made from quality beef and their fries/onion rings are really good. Prices are fair, free parking, and plenty of seating. They also have a pickled bar where you can get different pickled veggies to put on your dog free of charge. I do wish they would open a store more in South Charlotte because both this location and the one in Downtown are pretty close to each other.

Food and service was everything I wanted it to be on the whole. Only complaint I had was that in arriving just after the lunch, several tables were in need of a wipe down, and didn't really see anyone doing this while I was there. Even so, I still wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Absolutely a must visit if you are a DDD junkie like my wife and I. We always visit the DDD joints when we travel and for some reason have not been to this one that is located in our hometown. We got the Chicago, Senora and the chili chz dogs. The senora was just ok as we have had them from the source in AZ. The Chicago was hands down the best and I grew up in IL so I have had many. And the classic chili dog was really tasty. Also had $3 local craft big cans. WE WILL REPEAT VISIT

JJs Redhots is a local hot dog joint. Just a hot dog joint you say? Its far from just another place that serves hot dogs. These are the absolute best hot dogs in town if not the world. Their toppings are well top notch, each week they put out a new and exciting dog of the week. I have to come here at least once a month otherwise I feel like I am missing apart of myself. I would choose this hands down over most steak places for a date night out! PS. Get the tops with cheese on the,! Just WOW!

A unique and delicious hot dog restaurant! You start with a basic hot dog and can choose from a variety of toppings to make a salty, spicy, or sweet hot dog. You can even build your own. All of their food is fantastic! $2 dogs on Tuesdays. Casual atmosphere, quick service, order at the counter type of restaurant. I can't wait to go back!

This place is great! The Red Hot is one of my favorite dogs. However, JJ’s does it a bit different. I’m used to having sport peppers and a tomorrow wedge on the dog with a bit of celery salt. JJ’s didn’t serve it that way but it was great nonetheless. The true winner here was the Korean BBQ wings. I ordered these on a whim for an appetizer and I was completely blown away. These wings contend with my favorite wings of all time. I will definitely be back to JJ’s anytime I come to Charlotte and order these wings. Thanks for the great experience!

I had a Bratwurst it was undercooked and burnt at the same time? I had a beer and it was okay, but the food was nothing to talk about. The workers were nice, but I do not recommend this place because of the food.

It's still Triple-D worthy years later. The creative combinations of dog toppings mean that there's something for everyone, and the foundation of a red-hot or sausage link on the fluffy bun means any choice is a good one. Try the spicy pickles and ginger carrots to snack on while you wait, and be sure to have some of the brewed in-house sweet tea.
