Lived in the neighborhood and ate dinner here a few times. Food was good for an everyday dinner. Staff was friendly and has a nice warm atmosphere. We had fish and chicken and a salad. Would recommend for a quick bite but probably not a special occasion.
As good as in Italy
Come here often for lunch. Service is always great. The mac in cheese is delish as well as the penne bolognese.
Amazing place. Food, service, ambiance.
Great food and service
Best service, best staff, best food, just the best.
I stopped here once in the afternoon (last July as I recalled). It’s a nice place, looks very luxurious that me and my friend were taken aback despite looking up for the price before we walked in. It wasn’t busy. The server (I think the owner) was super nice to us despite knowing that we only stopped for a quick lunch. Food was good, and the portion was huge. My friend and I had to ask for to-go regardless of the fact that we were very hungry.
Great service and food! The seafood was of high quality and VERY tasty. Deserts were average +.
Disappointed at the food quality.
I love them there. I feel like family.
Great food and ambiance
Great for happy hour. The bartender is the best!
Awesome happy hour! Had such a great experience I stayed for dinner and was not disappointed. The s’mores bread pudding is to die for!!!!
Great food and Amazing service! I've worked with Gary, their new Sales Director for previous events and the food and service that Giorgio's of Gramercy provided did not disappoint. We catered dinner for 50, as well as food and drinks for a reception of 150 for our yearly event. I highly recommend going through Gary for catering needs. He was always available to answer my questions and made the whole process very easy. Looking forward to enjoying their food and service for future events!
Barrel aged Manhattans. You’re welcome.
Great service, nice date location, food was okay, and cocktail was pretty good.
Great dessert and gelato.
Friendly service and delicious food. Order the mussels to start, served in a delicious red tomato sauce. Try the squid ink and octopus linguini which is one of my favorite New York dishes. The big eyed tuna is also highly recommended.
Warmth, graciousness, great food....hard to beat!
How lucky we were to find this gem in a veritable sea of NOMAD restaurants! Giorgio’s offers New American cuisine with a healthy dose of Italian inspired sides and entrees. The bar area was bustling with Happy Hour revelers when two of us arrived before our reservation time. We were warmly welcomed and offered the opportunity to stay at the bar or be seated at our table for three. (We opted for the latter.) We perused the menu and enjoyed the quiet as we waited, watching the restaurant fill up. Though the menu was not extensive, there was something for everyone in our party of three: a carnivore (Dry Aged Ribeye with Choice of Side), an omnivore (Free-Range Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes), and a flexitarian (Sea Scallops with Cauliflower Fondue). The wine list was excellent, as were the appetizers. Each entree was done to perfection. Throughout the meal the staff was attentive without being intrusive. What we really wanted was to enjoy a good meal without being rushed while we caught up with our son who was in town on business. And that is what we did — all the way through to coffee and dessert! With all of us being out-of-towners the rave reviews were what brought us to Giorgio’s; we could not have been happier with our choice. At the moment the entrance is a bit hard to find under some scaffolding, and you might have to part the curtains at the entrance if it is a cold night, but don’t let that keep you from walking through the door. Giorgio’s is wonderful and if I didn’t live in Connecticut I would stop by again very soon.
Excellent Service and Food!
Attentive and friendly service doesn’t outshine the food. The prix fixe is a fab deal for $35 – get the Fried Oysters, the Surf ‘N Turf and the S’more Bread Pudding.
Tasty food and pretty decent prix fixe menu
Amazing service! Great food! We went on a Saturday night with reservations and it was very busy so we had to wait about 20 mins, but they were so apologetic about it and took such great care of us. They gave us each a free drink and a free dessert because of our "inconvenience " which wasn't bad at all. Just a lovely experience overall!
Good food and drinks
This is a great date place. The lighting, small tables and beautiful decor make it very romantic. The food is delicious, but on the pricey side. Try the duck or any of the pastas. Excellent wine selection. The portions are large and they have a great list of daily specials.
a classic, clean, hideaway. always a delicious meal with charming service. one place i could eat every night and not grow bored.
The wait staff is excellent and made my date and I felt like the most important two people in the place. The food is very good and the wine pairing on point. See Brock the bartender - this guy knows his stuff.
Within a stone's throw of the Flatiron building, this delightfully warm and cozy Italian restaurant is something of a hidden gem. I sat at the bar, and was welcomed and treated more like an old friend than just another customer. The food is nicely presented and absolutely delicious. Get the burrata for sure! I think this is my new "local" when I am in town.
A sleeper in the Gramery Park area.
Nice and pleasant restaurant with good food and service. Lived up to what you expect from a smaller place.
For those days when you are nearby and there id no way to get into Gramercy Tavern
Excellent food, service & great atmosphere
Surpisingly great food. Mac and cheese is TDF. Would go back in a heartbeat. Also a good place for a date!
Food is good, a bit priced but worth it, customer service sucks specially over the phone the lady who answer the phone is rude and doesn’t let you finish your sentence.
Low key fire
We stopped by one evening a few years ago. Ambient was good.
I had the salmon and roasted veg it was cooked to perfection the wife had chicken and mash with roasted parsnips friendly staff
Mac and cheese is scrum-didally-umtious
Great for lunch. Reasonable prices and quality food. One of best spots in Gramercy.
Best restaurant in flatiron. The chef is great
Best Tuna Tartare I've ever had ! I get Tuna Tartare at every restaurant I go to and I've never had better ! Went for my birthday dinner over the weekend. James, our server ,was absolutely amazing and only added to the great experience. From appetizers to desert every dish was absolutely phenomenal!
Excellent. Small place, cozy ambiance, attentive service. Had the home made gnocchi special.... delicious, soft pillowy bites of gnocchi in a cheese sauce, delicately topped with shaved truffles.... was a big hit... the papardelle pasta was very good, the wild boar ragu was great ... btw.. they no longer do 1/2 portions of pasta...the arugula salad was good.. citrus dressing was light, fresh. The 22 oz steak was great.... I had asked for medium... it was medium- rare....but none the less good... sides are good...Salmon on cedar plank was delicious. The rack of lamb our party ordered was a perfect medium temp. Beautiful presentation, well executed, and well seasoned..... On to dessert: Smores bread pudding was very rich. Best shared .. the cheese cake was a hit as was the brandied cherry tartuffo dessert. Staff was very attentive and service was prompt. Will be back again. Reservations require a credit card hold... there's a cancellation policy as well. Dress is business casual. BUON APPETITO!
The food could have been better (it was bland) but the portions are big and happy hour at the bar seemed packed.
We came here for restaurant week. I got the sesame crusted tuna. It was awesome. Great atmosphere for a date night.
We ate here for New Year's Eve Dinner. The atmosphere was done very nicely for the evening and it was a very enjoyable dining experience. The 07 Hendry Zinfendel was fantastic and it went well with both of our meals. The New York strip with fries was cooked exactly how I wanted it and tasted great. It was a little odd having the only garnish be french fries and they were easily a portion large enough for two to three people. The seared salmon was also cooked to order and was very delicious. The brussel sprouts were tasty and complimented the dish well. Overall I would definitely go back here, it was reasonably priced, the food was great, and the atmosphere inviting.
Great food, great service, great restaurant. Not cheap, but it's worth it
Cozy neighborhood joint that offers consistent quality and reasonable prices (three course prix fixe for $35 or $50 with wine pairings - and yes, you should opt for the wine pairings). Dine-in service is attentive and their catering services are equally impressive.
The decor, food and service are all delicious. Was very impressed with the quality and warmness of the servers/bartenders. Great place for a date or if you have people in from out of town! Also in a great location for bars or going out after!
Great food - come here all the time. We always get the lamb and duck. Detroit red is my favorite cocktail on the menu
Good food, but quite overpriced. I really liked the burrata and the scallops dish, and the dessert was rich/decadent. Ambience is nice, but a bit too dark and tight for me liking. A good spot nonetheless!
I would like to say thank you for the staff and the Chef for accommodating our reservation. It was a very nice experience and definitely a wonderful culinary experience! We started with some blue oysters that had a perfect balance, awesome... then with a pasta carbonara with lobster tail, at this point we are thinking. Wow food it’s so good. Our waitress always had a smile and explained every plate he delivered to the table. Once again thank you, I wish I lived in New York so we can come all the time!
Amazing staff back the even more amazing food. Brock will help you with the perfect drink for whichever main dish you decide and the staff will make sure your dining experience is better then what you thought coming in. Great find
Arrived after work and found this gem. Unfortunately for me and I guess fortunately for me I had a late lunch so it was a lite fare. Oysters (East and West Coast) Terrific, Cervice that reminded me of Miami, then the Awesome Grilled Octopus with a side of wild mushrooms. Great food and Brock took great care of us at the bar. A terrifc way to end a long work week. A bit crowded for a Friday night however service was great and food was on point. I will be returning for sure.
I made a last second reservation at Giorgio's of Gramercy. The staff was attentive and inviting. The food was well prepared and presented. The food was a good value and the portions were large. I went with my wife who ordered off the fixed menu which was fabulous. I ordered from the regular menu and also enjoyed the service. The decor was warm. I will be going back.
Excellent service, great lunch menu.
Good food and service, came here for restaurant week. Had the burrata, mushroom risotto, and trio of gelato. Portions are quite large and all three courses were good. The service is one thing that stands out though, all the staff are very friendly and despite being quite busy we didn't ever feel neglected. Atmosphere is nice too, good date spot, restaurant is a bit snug but seats and layout are comfortable.
its perfect. unbelievable.. i wana recomand duck breast, chiken, oyster
incredible service. amazing food.
Sat at the bar and enjoyed the Veal Parm, which was the size of a small SUV. Best part of my meal was listening to the regulars at the bar talk about their best meal ever at this place!
Restaurant Week lunch offering was fantastic. Very good food and nice decor with friendly staff.
very nice setting, great food. on sundays, all wine bottles are 15 $ off. highly recommended.
Okay but not amazing
My work orders from here regularly for lunch from the catering menu. The food is amazing. Everything is seasoned, delicious, cooked properly, and high quality. We like to order the roast chicken, grilled hanger steak, tortellini, potato puree, steamed vegetables, and their homemade bread. Order as soon as you can and they will deliver by 12pm. There was one week we ordered from this place twice, that's how good it is.
One of the best meals I have ever eaten and very friendly staff.
Sea bass I had was wonderful. Octopus was not great. Desserts were good.
We had the tasting menu and it was delicious. Wait staff and hostess were very friendly. However, the bartender was rude and sexist. He ruined our experience. Go for dinner and avoid the bar!
Very accommodating and delicious. Lots of food is to be expected, and the desert is to die for even if you are already full. Came here for a group dinner and was very happy with how accommodating they were of our group. The wine and drinks were served promptly, and the food came out very good. We had a pre-fix menu and I tried pasta as an appetizer and fish with vegetables as a main course. Overall, good food and nice ambiance. Definitely good as a date spot, meet a friend or gather a group for dinner.
Food was amazing and reasonably priced, atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing.
Great food great service. Just as other reviewers said the Mac and cheese was all we talked about. 1/2 order was enough and wonderful. All homemade from noodles to sauces. Wine choices were great. From out of town, this was the best so far.
Great experience, every item was great, very nice specials, great service. It is not quiet but who cares what you get in glasses and plates and here Giorgio's delivers. I will be definitely back the next time I am in town.
I was not expecting to eat at this restaurant but glad I decided to do so. The ambience is nice and the staff members are friendly. I celebrated my friend's bday at this restaurant. What was meant to be a quick bite turned into a really nice dinner. We both ate the sweet potato pasta dish- a must try. This place is worth checking out for dates and small celebrations.
Great spot....Excellent food and service!!
For the prices, the food is actually quite good. And they also deliver!
Good service. Good food
An amazing selection
Some of the friendliest staff around with very complete knowledge of the food and menu. I trust their recommendations 100% every time.
We stumbled onto Giorgio's after finding our destination closed for a private party. Terrific bartender with great knowledge of bourbons, delicious food, and very helpful staff. I realized after I left I'd lost an earring. Not only did they find it, they mailed it to me. Received today. Thank you so much! We'll be back!
This restaurant has changed hands in the last few years, and the result is not an improvement. It looks like a Czarist bordello, with its placenta-colored walls and Baroque chandeliers. Still, the food remains good, occasionally excellent - and the bar is fine. I liked it better the way it was, but that's just the curmudgeon in me speaking.
Phenomenal and attentive service. With amazing food.
Cheap Italian place Matt likes. Good for dates or quick stop bys.
Uninspiring but not bad.
We went there this evening for restaurant week. Great menu, attentive staff, good atmosphere, food was good...but not inceredible. Additionally our table was very close to neighouring tables so was awkward to have an entirely comfortable meal.
So-so. There are die hard fans of this place but I am not one of them.
Excellent restaurant, food, service/staff exceptional
Appetizers are phenomenal. Very good happy hour.
Warm vibes, friendly service, delicious pasta, excellently prepared scallops, and very clean restrooms.
Cozy location, Romantic, specialty dishes, great regular menu, cocktails superb
Great Italian Cuisine!!
Online menu does not match restaurant menu. Twice as much with less choice. Food was not worth the prices. I should have double checked menu at door before entering.Too dark which made me wonder about cleanliness and decor. House wine starts at $12 a glass. Loud with unfriendly server. Would not recommend.
Small and narrow venue. Delicious entrees. Intimate atmosphere.
Really nice place!!!Ooverall food was very good and the staff in general especially the bartender were great will return soon!
Italian cuisine in a nice setting. The service was the best I've ever experienced, probably.
was there for a wedding reception and they were fantastic in every way!
Beautiful decor great staff and service. The soup was very good. But my duck was delicious. The flavors just tingled all over my tongue. Very well presented
Good quality food at reasonable price. Service is nice as well.
Wow! We went out for a friend's celebration and tried many of the dishes - all of them where incredibly delicious! You cannot go wrong here!
a great little spot for lunch or dinner, food and service is always consistent
Came here for restaurant week and they were quick to inform us of a time limit, which I appreciate. The waiter was still super accommodating and even replaced my friends drink (to a good old fashioned) when he noticed her barely touching the first drink. Service was quick but courteous and the decor is great for a date night.
By far one of the best value restaurants we ate at during our trip. The portion sizes are not small and in some cases perfect size to split, everything is full of flavor, and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is not very large but still a cozy, intimate setting. I highly recommend making reservations.
The roasted oysters were really good. As was the Long Island duck special, served with tender Kale and pomegranate seeds and black rice. Spinach was good. Really nice ambiance, and friendly service.
Very good service, selection and pricing. Have had lunch/dinner here often and not been disapointed. Recomended.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, and the wait staff was phenomenal!
Had the best time at G's of G when I went for the first time a few days ago. The staff was so friendly and apologetic when our reservation wasn't meant (only about 45 minute extra wait, but we weren't even upset). They gave us complementary drinks among other things and constantly came to check on us. The food was wonderful. I recommend anything under the pasta or fish sections (only because I hadn't tried the Meat). The deserts are also delicious.
My fiancee and I were walking to another Italian place a few blocks up the street when we passed this gem. To get a timely review, I hollered to a lady with leftovers as she flagged down a cab. "Is this place good?" I asked. She replyed, "No. It's excellent!" And she was right!!
Beautiful place, though a little cozy and the service was great. Unfortunatelythe fried oysters and the fried calamari app were too heavy on the batter and it was an overpowering greasiness, and my girlfriends linguini noodles were stuck together, though she got plenty if seafood.
I chose this restuarant to celebrate my anniversary. They made my night feel special. They were all very nice. They have coat checks and the atmosphere is lovely. Food was delicious. If you plan on going, I reccomend to make reservations.
Great food and drinks
Snug restaurant in a shopping area. We never heard of it, but it was packed at dinnertime on a weeknight, so others have. Very accommodating staff. Anything you want, even off-menu, for a vegetarian, if possible. The veal pram was on the bone, pounded thin, with spaghetti side was huge. It became a second meal at home the next day. The homemade tiramisu was good too. Not overly sweet sugar-bomb. We were very satisfied and will consider another visit when inn the area.
Great food and wonderful hospitality, you can't find that often in NYC. The mussel is prepared in a delicate way and different than other restaurants. It feels they didn't just simply copy recipe and sauce. The hostess is such a delight as usual.
I just want to say WOW! This pasta make my dreams come true.
The atmosphere of this restaurant was lovely. The service was excellent and on Sunday, a bottle of wine is $15. off and they offer a price fixed menu which was delicious. Our waiter was very helpful with meal suggestions.
The best evening. Great food
Great service. The S'more Bread Pudding is decadent and delicious.
Great service. However, the lobster was not fresh at all
I had an absolutely incredible meal at Giorgio's this summer as well as one of the most knowledgeable and friendly waiters (who I believe was also the sommelier). I dined there for an early dinner with my mom after completing my first bridal dress fitting, which she had casually mentioned, and we were treated like royalty thereafter - complete with some complimentary wine (which was especially welcome given the day's events!). The food was unique, delicious and perfectly portioned for sharing. The price is also right! I can't wait to return with my husband!
Great dinner and great service. Loved the oysters, borata and the porterhouse for two. I would have given it five stars but I don't like having to squeeze between tables getting in and out. It's a little too tight. Otherwise perfect.
The perfect escape for a Gramercy lunch!
My wife and stayed at the Gramercy hotel and decided to take a walk. We found a hidden gem in Giorgio’s! Warm and cozy great happy hour. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!! Incredible apps, pasta, veal. Everything was amazing. Great bar area, can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed. Highly recommend.
Great drinks, came in during a rush so things were sloe but they were very attentive. Was not 100% sold on my dish.
It's a decent restaurant at a great location in the city. A bit expensive though.
We LOVE Giorgio's of Gramercy, it's conveniently located, menu prices are in line with product offering & great service. Stop by for their fabulous 7$ Happy Hour and hopefully employee Jaz will be bartending.
Underrated. It's a great spot. Nice space (though I liked it better when it was lighter).
Giorgio's of Gramercy is one of the best restaurants in the area. Amazing food and service.
We only had drinks and appetizers , Muscles and truffle fries were delicious . Drinks were good served by a very personable bartender. I might have to add this to my list of favorite places to go for drinks.
Pasta was made from scratch & cooked aldente. I also liked the service & ambiance of the restaurant.
Such great food and service!!
This one of those NY establishments that will live forever. The best thing on the menu is the pappardelle but everything on offer is great and they have some excellent cocktails too. Good spot for a date or a group dinner (though they do certainly get crowded)
This location is tiny and cramped. The fish entree consisted of a slice of overcooked fish and overloaded on filler. Dessert selection was lacking.
Food was fine -not great but what was really off putting was the service. I booked my reservation through Amex and when we arrived our goal was to try to make an 8pm show. We indicated this and were told they were waiting for a woman to clear a table- she was paying. We could see her from our vantage point and she was taking her time and I didn't want to rush her off or delay being seated. I asked for a different table so we could be seated quickly. They sat us at a 4 top. Table service was pretty good but certainly not swift. As a result, we saw that it was going to be nearly impossible for us to make the show. We decided to stay, order dessert and another glass of wine. We indicated we were staying to our waiter. Then the hostess comes to our table twice to ask us when we were leaving quoting that we said we were going to a show- which we found to be quite rude. She finally tells us she "needs the table". We spent over $200 for this meal so it didn't feel great with an out of town guest (unused to NYC rudeness) to be rushed off. At this point, it was just before 8pm. Our reservation was for 6:30 and we were probably seated at 6:45 so it wasn't as if we were at the table an overly long time. Visit Giorgio's at your own risk. Food quality was not great (scallops were under-seasoned) and overall service leaves a lot to be desired. Also this restaurant is really dark- like, you-can-hardly-see-your-food dark. There's much better to be had in NYC.
Fabulous food/Well run establishment
Went here around the Christmas holidays. Don't know if we would have gotten seats it I didn't book in advance. Food was really good. They really know how to cook their lamb and steaks. The service was slow and forgetful, but I peg that to the busy season
Awesome experience! The food is great! Like really great. But it's not something new for the city, what I was really impressed with, is a waiter. Very nice guy and the service is awesome! And the music was good too :)
Amazing drinks, food, and service!
relaxing atmosphere, and deliciously interesting food. desserts are always a wonderful surprise.
The tasting menu was fabulous - excellent combination of dishes, just the right portion sizes, and the flavors in each dish were amazing! Our server, James, was terrific as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Any restaurant that plays as much Amy Winehouse as this one is already a winner in my book. But the Veal Parmesan was delicious, too.
Nothing special, but expensive. Avoid the oysters
This was our second time dining here. We were very happy with everything. Food was excellent and service was great. Our waiter Ernesto was very detailed and attentive. I would recommend this place to anyone.
highly recommended and excellent service in a very comforting place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
