Lived in the neighborhood and ate dinner here a few times. Food was good for an everyday dinner. Staff was friendly and has a nice warm atmosphere. We had fish and chicken and a salad. Would recommend for a quick bite but probably not a special occasion.

I stopped here once in the afternoon (last July as I recalled). It’s a nice place, looks very luxurious that me and my friend were taken aback despite looking up for the price before we walked in. It wasn’t busy. The server (I think the owner) was super nice to us despite knowing that we only stopped for a quick lunch. Food was good, and the portion was huge. My friend and I had to ask for to-go regardless of the fact that we were very hungry.

We catered dinner for 50, as well as food and drinks for a reception of 150 for our yearly event. I highly recommend going through Gary for catering needs. He was always available to answer my questions and made the whole process very easy. Looking forward to enjoying their food and service for future events!

Friendly service and delicious food. Order the mussels to start, served in a delicious red tomato sauce. Try the squid ink and octopus linguini which is one of my favorite New York dishes. The big eyed tuna is also highly recommended.

How lucky we were to find this gem in a veritable sea of NOMAD restaurants! Giorgio’s offers New American cuisine with a healthy dose of Italian inspired sides and entrees. The bar area was bustling with Happy Hour revelers when two of us arrived before our reservation time. We were warmly welcomed and offered the opportunity to stay at the bar or be seated at our table for three. (We opted for the latter.) We perused the menu and enjoyed the quiet as we waited, watching the restaurant fill up. Though the menu was not extensive, there was something for everyone in our party of three: a carnivore (Dry Aged Ribeye with Choice of Side), an omnivore (Free-Range Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes), and a flexitarian (Sea Scallops with Cauliflower Fondue). The wine list was excellent, as were the appetizers. Each entree was done to perfection. Throughout the meal the staff was attentive without being intrusive. What we really wanted was to enjoy a good meal without being rushed while we caught up with our son who was in town on business. And that is what we did — all the way through to coffee and dessert! With all of us being out-of-towners the rave reviews were what brought us to Giorgio’s; we could not have been happier with our choice. At the moment the entrance is a bit hard to find under some scaffolding, and you might have to part the curtains at the entrance if it is a cold night, but don’t let that keep you from walking through the door. Giorgio’s is wonderful and if I didn’t live in Connecticut I would stop by again very soon.

Amazing service! Great food! We went on a Saturday night with reservations and it was very busy so we had to wait about 20 mins, but they were so apologetic about it and took such great care of us. They gave us each a free drink and a free dessert because of our "inconvenience " which wasn't bad at all. Just a lovely experience overall!

This is a great date place. The lighting, small tables and beautiful decor make it very romantic. The food is delicious, but on the pricey side. Try the duck or any of the pastas. Excellent wine selection. The portions are large and they have a great list of daily specials.

Within a stone's throw of the Flatiron building, this delightfully warm and cozy Italian restaurant is something of a hidden gem. I sat at the bar, and was welcomed and treated more like an old friend than just another customer. The food is nicely presented and absolutely delicious. Get the burrata for sure! I think this is my new "local" when I am in town.

Best Tuna Tartare I've ever had ! I get Tuna Tartare at every restaurant I go to and I've never had better ! Went for my birthday dinner over the weekend. James, our server ,was absolutely amazing and only added to the great experience. From appetizers to desert every dish was absolutely phenomenal!

Excellent. Small place, cozy ambiance, attentive service. Had the home made gnocchi special.... delicious, soft pillowy bites of gnocchi in a cheese sauce, delicately topped with shaved truffles.... was a big hit... the papardelle pasta was very good, the wild boar ragu was great ... btw.. they no longer do 1/2 portions of pasta...the arugula salad was good.. citrus dressing was light, fresh. The 22 oz steak was great.... I had asked for medium... it was medium- rare....but none the less good... sides are good...Salmon on cedar plank was delicious. The rack of lamb our party ordered was a perfect medium temp. Beautiful presentation, well executed, and well seasoned..... On to dessert: Smores bread pudding was very rich. Best shared .. the cheese cake was a hit as was the brandied cherry tartuffo dessert. Staff was very attentive and service was prompt. Will be back again. Reservations require a credit card hold... there's a cancellation policy as well. Dress is business casual. BUON APPETITO!

We ate here for New Year's Eve Dinner. The atmosphere was done very nicely for the evening and it was a very enjoyable dining experience. The 07 Hendry Zinfendel was fantastic and it went well with both of our meals. The New York strip with fries was cooked exactly how I wanted it and tasted great. It was a little odd having the only garnish be french fries and they were easily a portion large enough for two to three people. The seared salmon was also cooked to order and was very delicious. The brussel sprouts were tasty and complimented the dish well. Overall I would definitely go back here, it was reasonably priced, the food was great, and the atmosphere inviting.

I would like to say thank you for the staff and the Chef for accommodating our reservation. It was a very nice experience and definitely a wonderful culinary experience! We started with some blue oysters that had a perfect balance, awesome... then with a pasta carbonara with lobster tail, at this point we are thinking. Wow food it’s so good. Our waitress always had a smile and explained every plate he delivered to the table. Once again thank you, I wish I lived in New York so we can come all the time!

Arrived after work and found this gem. Unfortunately for me and I guess fortunately for me I had a late lunch so it was a lite fare. Oysters (East and West Coast) Terrific, Cervice that reminded me of Miami, then the Awesome Grilled Octopus with a side of wild mushrooms. Great food and Brock took great care of us at the bar. A terrifc way to end a long work week. A bit crowded for a Friday night however service was great and food was on point. I will be returning for sure.

I made a last second reservation at Giorgio's of Gramercy. The staff was attentive and inviting. The food was well prepared and presented. The food was a good value and the portions were large. I went with my wife who ordered off the fixed menu which was fabulous. I ordered from the regular menu and also enjoyed the service. The decor was warm. I will be going back.

Good food and service, came here for restaurant week. Had the burrata, mushroom risotto, and trio of gelato. Portions are quite large and all three courses were good. The service is one thing that stands out though, all the staff are very friendly and despite being quite busy we didn't ever feel neglected. Atmosphere is nice too, good date spot, restaurant is a bit snug but seats and layout are comfortable.

My work orders from here regularly for lunch from the catering menu. The food is amazing. Everything is seasoned, delicious, cooked properly, and high quality. We like to order the roast chicken, grilled hanger steak, tortellini, potato puree, steamed vegetables, and their homemade bread. Order as soon as you can and they will deliver by 12pm. There was one week we ordered from this place twice, that's how good it is.

Very accommodating and delicious. Lots of food is to be expected, and the desert is to die for even if you are already full. Came here for a group dinner and was very happy with how accommodating they were of our group. The wine and drinks were served promptly, and the food came out very good. We had a pre-fix menu and I tried pasta as an appetizer and fish with vegetables as a main course. Overall, good food and nice ambiance. Definitely good as a date spot, meet a friend or gather a group for dinner.

Great food great service. Just as other reviewers said the Mac and cheese was all we talked about. 1/2 order was enough and wonderful. All homemade from noodles to sauces. Wine choices were great. From out of town, this was the best so far.

I was not expecting to eat at this restaurant but glad I decided to do so. The ambience is nice and the staff members are friendly. I celebrated my friend's bday at this restaurant. What was meant to be a quick bite turned into a really nice dinner. We both ate the sweet potato pasta dish- a must try. This place is worth checking out for dates and small celebrations.

This restaurant has changed hands in the last few years, and the result is not an improvement. It looks like a Czarist bordello, with its placenta-colored walls and Baroque chandeliers. Still, the food remains good, occasionally excellent - and the bar is fine. I liked it better the way it was, but that's just the curmudgeon in me speaking.

By far one of the best value restaurants we ate at during our trip. The portion sizes are not small and in some cases perfect size to split, everything is full of flavor, and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is not very large but still a cozy, intimate setting. I highly recommend making reservations.

Had the best time at G's of G when I went for the first time a few days ago. The staff was so friendly and apologetic when our reservation wasn't meant (only about 45 minute extra wait, but we weren't even upset). They gave us complementary drinks among other things and constantly came to check on us. The food was wonderful. I recommend anything under the pasta or fish sections (only because I hadn't tried the Meat). The deserts are also delicious.

Beautiful place, though a little cozy and the service was great. Unfortunatelythe fried oysters and the fried calamari app were too heavy on the batter and it was an overpowering greasiness, and my girlfriends linguini noodles were stuck together, though she got plenty if seafood.

Snug restaurant in a shopping area. We never heard of it, but it was packed at dinnertime on a weeknight, so others have. Very accommodating staff. Anything you want, even off-menu, for a vegetarian, if possible. The veal pram was on the bone, pounded thin, with spaghetti side was huge. It became a second meal at home the next day. The homemade tiramisu was good too. Not overly sweet sugar-bomb. We were very satisfied and will consider another visit when inn the area.

I had an absolutely incredible meal at Giorgio's this summer as well as one of the most knowledgeable and friendly waiters (who I believe was also the sommelier). I dined there for an early dinner with my mom after completing my first bridal dress fitting, which she had casually mentioned, and we were treated like royalty thereafter - complete with some complimentary wine (which was especially welcome given the day's events!). The food was unique, delicious and perfectly portioned for sharing. The price is also right! I can't wait to return with my husband!

Food was fine -not great but what was really off putting was the service. I booked my reservation through Amex and when we arrived our goal was to try to make an 8pm show. We indicated this and were told they were waiting for a woman to clear a table- she was paying. We could see her from our vantage point and she was taking her time and I didn't want to rush her off or delay being seated. I asked for a different table so we could be seated quickly. They sat us at a 4 top. Table service was pretty good but certainly not swift. As a result, we saw that it was going to be nearly impossible for us to make the show. We decided to stay, order dessert and another glass of wine. We indicated we were staying to our waiter. Then the hostess comes to our table twice to ask us when we were leaving quoting that we said we were going to a show- which we found to be quite rude. She finally tells us she "needs the table". We spent over $200 for this meal so it didn't feel great with an out of town guest (unused to NYC rudeness) to be rushed off. At this point, it was just before 8pm. Our reservation was for 6:30 and we were probably seated at 6:45 so it wasn't as if we were at the table an overly long time. Visit Giorgio's at your own risk. Food quality was not great (scallops were under-seasoned) and overall service leaves a lot to be desired. Also this restaurant is really dark- like, you-can-hardly-see-your-food dark. There's much better to be had in NYC.
