Not good
It's GREAT very busy nice people's
Love this place go all the time the staff is really friendly and the food doesnt take forever to come out
Regular customer
where cholesterol is not a bad word and lean is not necessarily desirable. but their tongue sandwich with a side of cole slaw...
This place never disappoints. We had the pastrami on rye with mustard, french fries, and onion rings. The fresh coleslaw and pickles always tastes great as we are waiting for our meal.
Great food, good size portion and very clean restaurant. Been coming here for years.
Good food, attentive personnel.
Limited selection. Rude staff.
Love the matzoh balls
The New York strip was excellent
Delicious food and superior service
It was horrible and dry.
Great food
The pastrami is on point
The food is good, but....Not enough meat on the sandwiches!!! DEFINITELY not like the "old days!!!"
Ben's makes a great sandwich
Great chicken soup
Great food, good service
My goto lunch when visiting family in Bayside. The staff is on point and you cant beat the classic Jewish Deli food. While not necessarily classic I absolutely love their fries and onion rings too.
Pastrami on rye, no reason to get anything else. Pickles and coleslaw are the best around.
Chicken noodle soup and pastrami sandwiches. 'Nuff said.
Waitress made up for previous horrible service. I'd go again.
Wait staff is nice. The management is awful, yelling at staff while you eat (on several occasions), when they ring you up no eye contact & rarely a thank you.
The basics are always good. Getting more and more expensive.
Its Ben's Kosher in Queens. Great Jewish Soul Food Lousy service what are you going to do? For a Taset of One of the last Surviving Kosher Deli Chains . You just gotta go there.
Always good.
Any Ben's I visited (Manhattan, Bay Terrace, Greenvale & Woodbury) has always been good. All you can eat pickles and home made cole slaw at your table. Fountain drinks, refilled free all you can drink. All good, but let's remember it's 2018 so if you are looking for a brisket sandwich for 8 bucks, those days are over. Bathrooms clean. In Manhattan ask for Sam the waiter, he's a comedian on the side and has good jokes.
Worst prime rib I ever had!!!! Everything else was "ok" nothing crazy
Big portions good food good staff
The customer service is constantly efficient, awesome ambience, super nice employees. I will return again when I am in the area.
Great experience. We had the homemade tomato rice soup and Pastrami on rye. They serve coleslaw and two types of pickles. All the food and service was excellent.
Bought 2 pastrami sandwiches to go. Very good seeded rye bread. Pastrami wasn't trimmed so it had lots of gristle. Very little seasoning on the meat. Wanted old kosher dill pickles but they only had new. Cost was $25 for 2 items. I think that is too much by about $5.
Food is very over priced but it's ok to eat. The service is slow. We had to wait for water and coffee for 20minutes before we received it. I wouldn't recommend expecting to eat fast, you will be waiting for quite sometime to get your food order. Don't expect to eat and run. Expected wait time at least close to an hour.
Best spot to have food when in a hurry. Their customer service is swift, rates are convenient, good vibes. I highly recommend this spot.
Excellent kosher food! You've gotta go try 'em out.
Restaurant is constantly busy. If you ordered take out, expected to wait long time
Who doesn't love a pastrami sandwich? Love it! And the derma, kreplach soup, potato salad...
The worst place to eat poor service and the cashier is very disgusting and rude will never go in there again
Your typical Jewish Deli, which is becoming rarer in NYC. Waiters who make you feel guilty if you leave food on your plate! Just like home. Dinner plate sized potato latkes. Great corned beef sandwiches. What other type of restaurant serves Dr. Brown's Cel-ray soda?
This Ben's Deli is amazing it is clean service is great and of course the food is excellent I try to go once a week if you're looking for a really good Ben's Deli this is the one to go to
The best Reubens and the service is fantastic
There’s not too many kosher deli’s left excellent hotdogs potato pancakes I recommend it
This restaurant is no't good ... because the Boss said to 25 workers to dont come back because they wear protesters he doesn't pay their workers... so these place is so bad
given the virtual death of the old-fashioned jewish deli, you have to give ben's credit for keeping the tradition alive. too bad a little something is lost in this re-invention of the deli genre.
Good food parking is louzy
Historical deli with excellent corned beef and pastrami.
Good food but the way you have to pay and pick up things is odd.
Excellent quality food and service. Call in orders are done very timely.
It’s conveniently located in Bayterrace mall. Plenty of parking. I love their mushroom barley soup. My husband likes their pastrami! I occasionally go there.
Outstanding food, and good service
I
Great brisket and ladkas
Not cheap but good food, big portions, and if you have a Ben's loyalty card it becomes more economical.
Classic deli. Jewish Comfort food!
Food was excellent. Some of the best pastrami around. Bottomless coke slaw and pickles were super fresh and truly bottomless.
Very good food. Nice place to go.
good eats, the usual staples of matzo ball soup, potato pancakes and corned beef and pastrami sandwiches make this a perfect spot for dinner before a garden event.
Best kosher place in Queens
Double check your order before you leave the building.
Good food but pricey $$$
very solid matza ball soup and great turk sandwich. place smells great and plenty of parking
Matzoh ball soup is great. When you stop by for lunch, service is slow.
the good sandwiches make this a convenient stop for sports at the garden, but with no hockey its not being visited as much. service is poor poor poor
Brisket on Garlic Bread, Half Sour Pickles, Cole Slaw, Gravy on the side, Black Cherry Soda
The service tonight was less then stellar. Busy or not !
Bright fair priced
This is one of my favorite places, when I am craving good, old fashion kosher deli. Eating in is awesome, but taking home deli meats for sandwiches or heated knishes at night while watching movies. This is the place to go. Simply fantastic, check it out.
"Are you Jewish?" I am asked this every time i walk by. Is it because my nose?
Special pastrami was cut for holiday..very moist
The worst dining experience ever! We went to the Bayside location. Our server was terrific but that was it. We ordered potato pancakes which tasted like cardboard! The matzo ball soup was ordinary minus the flavor. We each ordered salads. Once again, no culinary effort here! What a shame; we were really looking forward to eating there. We went during lunch, and were surprised and wondered why the restaurant was pretty empty. That shopping center is a mecca for shoppers looking to spend money. Other dining establishments are always packed!!! After our horrific experience we now know why! What a terrible representative of Jewish Deli fame they are! Seems like we have to travel to 3G's to get a great old fashioned Jewish Deli feel hence meal!!!
Love the food
Like the picles
I can understand what Junior M. said about the service; while ours was friendly enough, they weren't exactly mavens of the menu. When I asked for advice regarding a few different items, I may have been asking their opinion on foreign policy. That said, I was there at about 8:30 on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not busy at all. That aside, the food was solid (I ordered stuffed cabbage which came with a huge latke, and peas/carrots, and my fiancee got the pastrami omelette which also came with a latke). I can't speak to the quality of the deli meat, but my meal was good, and big enough to take home for a 2nd meal, and it was only about 16 dollars, which for a kosher meal is quite cheap.
Flavorless food, slow service and got the order wrong. Couldn't get anything wright.
Awesome and yummy food, I like the mood the place has, and the staff members were friendly. I will definitely come back again.
I go over just for a pastrami sandwich and coleslaw as often as i can
consistently excellent food have been coming here over 20 years and its always really good.
I used to come here for the Roast Beef Sandwich. It was always tasty in the past. However this time it was so bland. The rye bread was clammy. Luckily I had the brown gravy to help me out. Not sure if I'll go back there.
"Are you Jewish?" I replied back are you? They said of course and then said something to me in another language.
Great food wonderful staff quick service
Nice cool place great food great service
Love this place. Good food and a great family restaurant.
Food was very good tonight.
Have been going to Ben’s for years. The food and service have always been great,
This place has great food
The worth service evere!! Rood waiters!!!agressive stuff!!!terrible service!!!!
Delicious pastrami
Great service real authentic Jewish food
Most of the time service is slow. Delivery is another story. It great y in game,Delivery food is theterrific usually.
Another masterpiece at out table. Pastrami a little dry, but nommed it up. Mashed potatoes and gravy are pretty good might i add.
Ben's knows how to do deli. Period.
There are several Ben's Delis throughout the area. Ii like the corned beef sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are good. I like the potato knishes, matzo ball soup, fried potato pancakes. Everything is good. Service is good. The price are not expensive.
Good, but pricey.
Bens Kosher is a legendary Bayside Restruant! The food is always on point but a Little on the price side. The staff is is very knowledgeable and service is swift, Great parking outside! Great place to go after a movie. Those sour pickles…wow
Great!
Not my favorite Ben's but it's in a great location if you're in the mood for a nice Pastrami on Rye sandwich.
Delicious, authentic Jewish Deli/Restaurant.
One of the last great Jewish delis out there. The pastrami is awesome as is the matzo ball soup. Lots of choices on the menu and plenty of parking. Bring your appetite.
I recommend the potato soup. It was so good. The portion was so big that I had to take half of it home. Their stuffed cabbage is great!.
The place is okay . For deli food I'd give it a 7 out of 10
Great pastrami & corned beef
I love bens so much the people are so nice and helpful
Kosher food. Delicious food. Lots of hot dogs too. And of course other kosher foods.
Would definitely recommend trying this place. Great ambience, delightful dishes, good service. Keep up the good work.
The pastrami and corned beef was delicious the waitress was wonderful
Yummy pastrami and coleslaw and pickles!
Disappointed! For weeks I was arranging with my colleagues to have a nice office lunch from Ben’s deli in Bayside. We finally ordered lunch(key word) which came for breakfast! When we called to complain their manager gave us the excuse that due to the distance we don’t want to be late so we came early. The delivery time per my confirmation with their receptionist was 11:30-12:30. In addition the food was cold! Not a great first impression to our office looking for more of a selection of lunch options.
This is a large kosher deli located in the Bay terrace Mall, offering both eat in and take out, with large portions and typical deli food.It is a little higher priced because it is kosher. Food is pretty good and the service is good but the atmosphere is not romantic. Service is generally very good. It is very loud and sometimes carrying on a conversation is difficult. You go to this restaurant not for fancy food, although there is a nice variety of meals including soup, coleslaw, main dish with two vegetables, in addition to hearty sandwiches, but when you want to leave stuffed to the gills and satisfied.
Used to visit this Ben's when we lived in Queens. This one is located in the Bay Terrace shopping center. This area has changed alot since we moved out to Long Island. This location has alot of parking, so that shouldn't be an issue. Also, the wait is usually very short...as the dinning area is very spacious. The wait staff is very friendly and quick. They set you up with the cole slaw, pickles, cucumbers and are always ready to take your order. I almost always order the overstuffed hot pastrami on club. Throw some mustard on there and I'm a very happy man. :) The fries are sometimes hit or miss... sometimes they seem a little undercooked. I only wish I could pay at the bill at the table instead of waiting on line at the register up front.
Great service. Huge portions of authentic Kosher comfort food. Great spices on their pastrami. Knishes to die for. Staff is helpful to newcomers.
Yummy hot dogs!
Just what you would expect. Consistent old style Jewish deli across the whole chain.
the moment you walk in they greetyou and will take your order...take out is speedy
Delicious pastrami sandwiches!!
Great corned beef.
Food was good service was good plenty of parking and the prices are reasonable fo
The deli guy was so personable and made sure to go over my order several times to make sure it was all there. He even asked "are you sure you don't want soup" so I said why not. The food here is always good. A nice weekday staple to give yourself the night off from cooking. A little pricey but worth it for once in awhile.
Wait was a little long but they made up for it with the delicious food.
Best place for hot dogs and kinishes
Pastrami baby!
Food was horible, stay away if you value your life.
Typical kosher deli type fare, but nothing in comparison to the more famous restaurants in this category, such as Katz's and 2nd Ave Deli.
Pretty good food and service.
I recently noticed a mistake on Ben’s menu. It had “pastrami sandwich” but it should be changed to “fat sandwich”. I had the fatiest pastrami sandwich ever!
Had my Dads 90th and just recently his 95th birthday parties here. They do a great job. The food was very good and the service was excellent..Looking forward to our next party there!!
I had a sore throat and bad cold and I just wanted Ben’s chicken soup which I had always enjoyed, delicious soup with lots of noodles and pieces of chicken! What was given to me was chicken broth with a few noodles covering the bottom of the container, very few and no pieces of chicken, I was very disappointed, The quality at Ben’s has deteriorated!
Awesome food, very welcoming staff, always great character. They charge convenient pricing and the food quality is excellent. Highly recommended.
Catering service is very poor. We ordered lunch to our office in Jamaica, NY and we got charged for $25 as the delivery fee. Then we have been told to expect the delivery between 11:00am to 12:30pm since we are located outside the area. Delivery guy called around 10:30am to come upstairs. You cannot deliver lunch at 10:30am! I can't even rate the food because I know it doesn't taste same as freshly made
This is a totally legit Kosher deli, and it even smells right! Great service and good food. The pastrami doesn't taste quite like I remember from the 60s, but it's probably a lot healthier these days and it was very good. Coleslaw tasted homemade and also good.
The reviews of the food are accurate but SERIOUSLY as it is already takes MANY NIGHTS ten minutes to pay e.g. for CB to go at 6pm on a Saturday.... I know the take home pay per hour, few hours you give her to cashier is not great but HIRING A NEW YOUNG LADY .... who does not have PLEASE or THANK YOU in her vocabulary? Not challenged enough, maybe she wants to fill take out orders?
Best coleslaw ever
Delicious, giant sized sandwiches, great knishes too. Not too many places around anymore to get a meal like this, so it's a real treat when I am able to get there.
Best Pastrami sandwich in Queens, New York. Worth the wait for a table and the waiters give it the deli flavor
Sit down service is great, but for there to go sucks. There food is really good.
Great Kosher Jewish restaurant. They offer dining in or takeout. Parking lot available.
Simply the Best. No if, ands or buts. The place to go when you get the pastrami Jones.
Good food.
Really good kosher deli. A bit pricey but still good.
Great food and service.
Service, food and great prices! It's the flu season and yours truly was affected by it. After a visit to the urgent care center I decided I needed to get some chicken soup. I am from the 'old school' so therefore I know someone chicken soup had some miracle qualities to cure the cold. I went to Ben's Kosher Deli and Restaurant and was told to try the chicken in a pot. I DID!!! it was as close to my grandma's home made soup as it can get. The soup in a pot can easily feed 2 people. I ate as much as I could fill my stomach. I took the rest to go. I did not regret this at all and will surely visit Ben's Kosher Deli and Restaurant again!
It is nice restaurant. lot choices.
A little pricey, but we're worth it... Yummy!
The corned beef rules and the matzo ball soup is great too. Delis like this are always just a bit pricey but they give you so much food it’s worth it!
just love this place, for a delicious warm pastrami sandwich with hardly any fat on it and an old fashioned cream soda. Does not get any better and the French fries are real!
Always have a great time there. Staff is friendly and its like eating a home cooked meal.
Nice half a sandwich & salad, soup option is satisfying and good.
This deli is excellent. Everything is good. Convenient parking. Plenty of seating. Highly recommend.
Would surely recommend trying this place. Awesome ambience, fresh dishes, excellent service. Keep it up.
Hotdogs
Love this place. Husband loves it and my 3 year old loves the cookie/ candy treat she always gets.
Good kosher deli
This was my first time ever in Ben's Deli. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and it was delicious. Also the waitress and staff are very friendly
Service terrible...... cashier very rude,,,,, but food was excellent...... went on a Saturday afternoon..
Very good food with friendly attentive staff
Definitely a place worth stopping by, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the rates are convenient and it is constantly well organized there. Highly recommended.
I went to Ben's for a hot dog and fries and was disappointed
My family have been ordering from Ben’s for a long time. Best corn beef in New York! We had great experience every time we went.
