I enjoyed our dinner here or granddaughters birthday. Nice table for 6. Plenty of room, not too crowded although waiter constantly banging into my chair as they passed behind me. Exceptionally annoying in a restaurant of this caliber. Food was very good with ample portions. Drinks were well made with generous pours. Prices are high but food was worth it. Desserts were quite good. Wine list not impressive but very expensive as some wines more than3 times retail. Overall good experience. Reservations recommended. Valet parking available.

Our family had a birthday dinner here and it was nice . However the staff around us dropped dishes 3 separate times and we're not aware of the noise of the clanking dishes. Our portions were smaller than we expected but still tasty . Remember to pack your mini flashlight due to lower lighting

We had a wonderful meal at Ruth’s Chris Steak House on Christmas Day. The food was amazing - delicious, piping hot and served within a reasonable time. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. We just may have to make this a new family Christmas tradition. Our only downside was the difficulty finding easy parking. We ended up using a garage but it was locked when we tried to leave and we had to ring a doorbell and wait at least 15 minutes for a person to show up and let us in.

High prices, but the food is on point. Bring a date here if you're trying to get laid, but be ready for the valet AND the dress code to stay winning. A good meal for two people is about 100$ a person, if you're doing it right. Make sure to take your dessert to go and you're sure to smash.

Beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby by the parking. Valet service too if you need it. Steaks were typical R’CSH, well seasoned and grilled perfectly. Service was warm and friendly.

Great steaks cooked to perfection, thick cut, well marbled, and wonderful flavor. The lobster was delicious and cooked to perfection. Valet parking is ten dollars and good compared to trying to find on street parking. The service was good, helpful, and entertaining It was our Anniversary and they threw glitter on the table and a card.

The atmosphere is nice however the tables were placed so closely together that it felt like it was community dining with the people that were sitting next to us. It made it difficult to hold a conversation and talk at all. The food was decent but I definitely would not go back there to pay $60 for the steak I had. It was cooked very well which I can’t complain about that, however the meat was a bit tough and not what I expected from Ruth’s Chris. Likely won’t be going back anytime soon.

I've been to this location multiple times (as well as others). The food and service is always top notch for this price range. This is one of my favorite places to get a steak because it is a no frills, minimally seasoned, good quality steak. I don't need an artisan steak sourced from an endangered species of cow from a tiny island off of Australia, seasoned with a rare form of black pepper sourced from a comet that only passes the earth once every 57 years (hyperbole obviously). I just want good quality, simple food that is cooked by someone who knows what they're doing, and a server who actually cares. Ruth's Chris does this pretty well, and for a reasonable price (all things considered).

The food was very good! As a vegetarian (who eats fish) there were not a ton of options (which I expected) but I still had a wonderful time and really enjoyed my food. There is a dress code so be ware (we were not but they didn't seem to worried). I had the Chilean seabass and it was absolutely amazing! The only disappointment was that they couldn't take the green Chile out of the lobster Mac and cheese. Other than that it was a very enjoyable placem

Ruth's Chris is absolutely amazing. Expect roughly $150 for two but you get the premium experience with it. The steaks are always cooked perfectly and marbled to perfection! As for sides, you can't go wrong with any of them but I just tried the lobster Mac and Cheese and it is the greatest Mac and cheese I've ever had. Period.

Great food, unfortunately the wait staff is inattentive. In between food being brought out, drinks, the bill etc. We personally waited 15 minutes for our waiter to take our payment. When we asked another member of the wait staff to help, the young lady acted like we wanted her to solve an impossible riddle. If this restaurant truly wants to establish itself as fine dining, they should look a little further than hiring a bunch of 19 year olds.

Would have given 5 star but ...we had to go ask for our gift card back. And when the waitress saw she said " oh sorry I assumed it was all used up" it was a large gift card. So her tip went from over 20% to a little less. The food was awesome and we will be back.

I moved to ABQ and have had phenomenal food at the Ruth Chris is San Diego and Palm Springs but, sadly, I would rate this one mediocre at best. I usually love the cream spinach and it was awful at this location. The service was pretty good but I'd probably pick somewhere else next time. Not worth it.

Hands down most delicious steak I've had from a restaurant in this city, served on a hot plate it just melts in your mouth. Sides and desserts are a treat as well, the place is upscale with a dress code, prices do match the ambience but are worth every penny.

Fantastic service amazing food, yes it is pricey but totally worth it for celebrations and special occasions. Reservations are recommended and I did online reservations for my anniversary I was able to pick a day and time and upon arrival they had a nice booth setup with a thank you card for choosing them on or special occasion. Never felt rushed or like we needed to speed up to clear out. Our waiter even had the online reservation notes I put in letting them know of a food allergy. I will definitely dine here again for a special occasion. Thank you Ruth's Chris for a magnificent dinner.

This place is hella boujee. Their cowboy Ribeyes are probably my favorite dish. The inside is very decor filled and clean. The waiting staff are always on top of their game, including the bar tenders. There is also a dress code, so make sure you don't show up in a tank top or athletic gear.

I made reservations on line the day prior for our anniversary. They called me the following day and confirmed as well as asked how many years. When we arrived there was an anniversary card, table was nicely decorated for the occasion. Our server Sarah was outstanding, food was prepared to perfection. Was a terrific experience. If you don't already know, this place is amazing. Do not go here if you are worried about $. I have been many times, usually with a larger party. Last night took just my wife, for our anniversary. I kind of felt like the wait staff gives more attention to a larger table. If I survived off of tips, I probably would too. I recommend going in a group. If not try the bar. I think you will get a little better service there.

Everything about this experience was impeccable and I have Montana Black Angus raising uncle and cousins and a maritime 28+ yrs chief cook brother and they simply cannot touch the taste and quality of the steaks here. The service on all levels with all the people was so friendly and precise and I have been in military head of state dinners. I appreciate it all since I had brought my daughter for her birthday. The steak was absolutely phenomenal. We both got the petite ribeye. However, I don't believe it was worth the $52 for the steak alone. We got a side of broccoli for an additional $10. Yeah, $10 for steamed broccoli. I understand high end restaurant and all, but it just wasn't justifiable to me.

Good atmosphere if you like jazz music. Steak of same quality could be gotten cheaper at most other steak restaurants. Don't order anything that is not from a cow, it's terrible (the crab cakes taste like butter, for example).

Nice staff... requested no nuts when making reservations... was served two plates including nuts before being a nut free dish was served... they're not too overly concerned about food allergies I guess- just my commentary. Portuguese Stew was more of a soup - perhaps just a difference of opinions, steak was perfectly prepared and tasty, dessert was good. Per the sommelier the chef requested the riesling with first course and chard with the spicy second course. My opinion he had it backwards - my opinion. Overall I'd be leery going back due to nut issue.

Steak is so overpriced it’s crazy only paying a big price for them to bring the steak on a hot bubbling plate Caesar salad was tasty but very small portion for the price mash potatoes were very runny like it’s some milkshake not pleasant to eat not coming back here I also ordered some drinks they were mostly ice and like 1/4 is the actual drink itself honestly I think this place rips people off. Visit Fogo de chao right around the corner or Morton’s steak house you’ll be more pleased.

I'm not stuck-up, but the $65.00 steak I had at Ruth's Chris could have been had at Outback steakhouse for $18.00 if I'd known the Ruth's Chris had made a corporate decision to dumb down their product to match our society's new low standards. Our experience here was beyond what I had ever expected. Brian was our server and he doted on us. I have never been to a restaurant where they actually show you the bottle of wine before opening it, pouring it for you I just thought that was like a "Hollywood thing" but guess what? They do it. Oh yeah, and they come by and refill your wine glass when it gets low. They didnt have flavored water for my son, but they cut up an orange for him to put in his water. Brian explained everything to us, because it was our first visit and we had our parents with us. When our foodbarrived, it was awe inspiring. My husband and I got the porterhouse for two and my gawd it was....you know how a fresh out of the fryer krispy kreme donut will just melt in your mouth? Yeah, thats what this steak did. No lie. It was served to us literally by Brian. This ginormous 40 oz steak was cut into chunks and served to us on piping hot plates so the steak sizzled right in front of us. It did NOT need any salt nor pepper. It literally was the perfect steak. My son said the shrimp was the best he has ever had and my in laws had the roasted chicken, which they said was juicy and tender throughout. We will be coming back..

Update: I enjoyed the Shrimp N Grits. Just say no blackening on the food and it comes out great. I went to Ruth's Chris for my 50 birthday in January. I went with two other couples. The food was way over blackened. We washed the shrimp 3 times and it was still too spicy. Most of the food was not eaten. We were all very disappointed. I had been many times and had the appetizers which were beyond good. My best friend was upset enough to talk to the manager, who has sent me a gift card and invited me back. I appreciate the gift card and yet gun-shy to try again; however, I will try it again tonight and let you all know if it has improved.

I was only here once. Compliments of my son. Yes it's a little pricey, but the "aged meat" is what makes it so special ! I'm here now on the site to make reservations for the New Year or after. This was my gift to my wife ( me too) ! I'm not one to afford this all the time, but it's top quality. (I hope). So once a month here or 3 times a month elsewhere? ...I say here, because of the quality of meat. Happy New Year Everyone. PS: I read in another post that he seen dirty areas. The food was amazing as I would always expect from Ruth's Chris. That being said, the overall service was less than stellar. Our server was very nice and seemed accommodating, but it took forever to actually visit us which also led to our food taking FOREVER. We were a party of 6, with two of us being gluten free. My salad came out with croutons and my wife's entree came out with bread on it. Additionally, food was regularly given to the wrong people. Our total time in restaurant was 2.5 hours, which if we were eating a course prepared meal is still a bit high, but we weren't. We had salads, entree and dessert. Oh well, I guess next time we will go some where else as there are several higher end restaurants in the area.

Seriously overpriced, you are paying for the ambiance and exclusive clientel not the food My steak was cooked more than I asked, my shrimp less than I asked. Food was good but not anywhere close to the price. The mashed potatoes were very plain and boring. The waiter super attentive but so plastic and fake. This is a place to feel superior and nothing more. Not for the food. I've had better elsewhere.

Terrific steak joint. We went for our wedding anniversary and the staff made it special. The creamed spinach was delicious and identical to the dish I had at the Atlanta restaurant years ago. Servers were attentive but unobtrusive. Both our steaks came on sizzling plates exactly as we had ordered them. The restaurant is beautiful and impressively quiet considering how many people were there. Well worth the money, but we'll only go back for special occasions.

I go here a lot. Usually on their regular dining menu, I still have yet to try their happy hour. I recently just have gone to check out their Portland dining month for March 2019 and it did not disappoint. Still delicious and even better with the Portland dining month deal. Drinks are not included in the deal however they are delicious. I had a raspberry rosemary Cosmo, I would definitely get that again!

Ruth's Chris steakhouse offers a in bar special of a 6oz filet with 3 shrimp and a glass of wine for $30. My wife and I love this special because it's just the perfect amount of food without getting stuffed. Service is always too notch. Will definitely return.

Great meal! I've had sea bass in all over, including other Ruth's Chris restaurants, but this one was beyond amazing. Seared to perfection on all six sides. Every bite had a crunch and the fish was so succulent. The pineapple hash and sauce were phenomenal. As usual the lyonnaise potatoes were seared perfect. I know I used perfect a lot already but this food experience was one of the best. Everyone at the table was super happy with their entrees. Our server was also perfect. There when you needed him but didn't interrupt your meal. The food runner was young and being watched carefully by the manager and was EXTREMELY polite when dropping dishes. One thing I have to mention is the floor manager several times cleared tables and handed plates off to a server right in front of our table. Not only is that rude but they would consistently drop flatware, kind of annoying and gives a Sizzler like ambience. Now the reason it's four stars, and honestly it might drop to three stars is because of one server. She was taller, with glasses, and although not rude to me she was so disrespectful to the bartender being so passive aggressive. And it's not so much but how loud she was about it. It literally stopped our conversation at the table because she was complaining so loud about having to make her own drinks and that she "could actually read tickets". I get it, service can be stressful, but honestly I don't care. I have a stressful job and I'll be damned if any clients/customers would be effected by it. In fact, most people have stressful jobs. That's why we get paid to do it... If it wasn't for her if give four stars, possibly I'll drop it to three. It may seem silly but there's an expectation to these kind of restaurants. I have yet to see this happen at Ruth's locations in Scottsdale, Los Angeles, or Chicago or any restaurant where a small table can get a several hundred dollar tab.

My family and I came here the other night with a business group. I’ve never received so many dirty looks from a waiter for having children. I understand that this is not a a great place to bring children, so that is partially on me, but the waiters were very unhelpful. I have an 11 month old who was sitting on my lap, and not once did the waiter ask if I would like a high chair or some type of seat for him. Part of my steak was so rare that I opted not to eat it because I ordered it medium. When I requested my wife and I get our dessert and sides in a to go box with the check, the waiter tried to talk me out of it, lecturing me that the food was meant to be eaten fresh. Basically the waiters were not kind or helpful, and acted like we did not belong there. I won’t complain about the price at all, we know where we were going, but I did expect better service. Left early and left enough $ to cover the bill and tip. Never did get our dessert.

Took my business partners here for a delicious dinner when i was in town and the food was absolutely amazing. Best steak I’ve ever had, so tender and buttery it literally melts in your mouth. Worth every penny and then some! The staff’s attention to detail is impressive! They are right there the second you even think about asking for something. There is a manager named Wendy that stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and she went over all our questions about the food and recommended a fantastic bottle of wine that was a good price. She was so welcoming! I can see where the rest of the staff gets it. I will definitely be back to dine in style again or have a glass of wine with the great people that work there! Top - notch!

Food was very delicious and almost worth the high prices, had zero problems with that. Unfortunately the service was the slowest out of any restaurant I have been to in the past. The waiter began to get frustrated with us when we asked where some of our food was that had been taking an incredibly long time. Was with the family and my father didn’t receive his appetizer until over an hour and a half into being at the restaurant. He then spoke to the manager who was very nice after they had forgotten to bring out half of his entree. I was not having a bad time until the waiter came out and charged me an extra 50 dollars on my bill because his math was wrong. Instead of correcting it and making it right, he proceeded to argue with me and tell me I was wrong for about 5 minutes until it hit him that he was wrong. I do believe that this place probably wouldn’t be too bad but it was just a bad experience that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Will maybe try again in a couple years when the staff cycles through.

Always a favorite of ours! Don't bother with anything but the filet mignon, it's incredible! They have a Ruth's special which includes an appetizer (I got a soup which was delicious!), Main dish, side, and salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and they had everything customized for him wishing him a happy birthday in the menu to letting him have a choice of dessert on them. He got the bread pudding which was delicious! All around just a great experience. Expensive, but worth it every once in a while.

Delicious food and attentive staff. They have an elevator to the main dining area if you have someone in your party who unable to walk up stairs. Many people in my party ordered of the prix-fix menu which allowed them to have a salad, entree, side and small dessert at a reasonable price. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese was also very good and had huge chunks of lobster in it. I can’t wait to go back.

The only downside is that the steaks did not come out as ordered--my steak was a bit overcooked and the sides and appetizer were lukewarm. Overall, not sure if they were having an off night but I would reconsider other options before going back.

I had a nice steak dinner here for my birthday and had a good time. They are super expensive though and ordering from the steak menu doesn't include any sides without ordering the Ruth's special which includes salad, two sides, a limited selection of entrees and a dessert. The food was good with the exception of the salad which you could tell was old because there were reddish edges on all of the lettuce. My table also ordered the lobster mac to share which was really good and had plenty of lobster on it. would recommend coming here during happy hour for the best bang for your buck. Otherwise assume you'll be spending quite a bit. My meal alone came out to about $67, not including the rest of my table's orders.

We went there for the first time tonight and highly disappointed. It took 20 minutes for someone to take our order and we didn’t get our drinks until the food came out. Luckily we got water when we sat down because our waitress never came around to refill our drinks until we were done eating our meal. The steak was mediocre. I’d compare it to the $10.99 steak you get at Outback that actually comes with side dishes. We just expected a lot better service and flavor for the price. We have no problem paying for an expensive meal if we walk away talking about how great everything was. The best part of our experience was the busser, she seemed to care more than the waitress. Needless to say we will not be going back.

We had reservations at the Ruth Chris in downtown Greenville for Valentines - actually drove from out of town and chose Ruth Chris bc we thought it would be the best consistent meal . The experience was awful . I They had a line of 40+ people just to get in if you had a reservation to get checked in . We checked in early for a 8:15reservation. We were not seated until 9:15 and even then did not see a waiter for 20 minutes . I finally went to find a waiter and we were moved to a different room . Our meal did end up coming out fast but the management was terrible and did not care . They booked the restaurant with 637 guest- way overbooked for a 331 capacity place . I will never go here again and might not ever go yo another Ruth Chris either .

We have eaten here 6 or 7 times since they opened and in the past it has been excellent but recently I would characterize it as good. Since Greenville is full of amazing restaurants especially at the higher end good just isn't enough. The steak is still excellent but little things like the presentation of the food being messy, the desserts still being frozen through when served, sides being cooked poorly and the general layout and decor being dated really hurt them compared to other options in the area. We never expect perfection but when you eat at a higher end restaurant you are paying for the experience and that just isn't up to the same standard set by equivalent restaurants in the area. Sometimes restaurants have a period where for whatever reasons things don't go well so we will try them again later in the year, maybe our last couple of visits were outliers.

This restaurant on Roper Mountain Road is a great addition to Greenville. It's been here for a number of years but it's been somewhat in the shadows since the downtown Riverwalk location is opened in the Embassy Suites. Both have great food and great quality but the atmosphere is much better downtown. The Management's outstanding and very accommodating especially in the downtown location. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here.

Service around the bar was considerably subpar! The bartenders literally hid in the kitchen and wouldn't refill drinks. Most people in the group had to continually track the people down to get checks. I for one will never step foot back in this restaurant. Think about it, what bartender (2) may I add doesn't want to make tons of tips doing their job by servicing a group of 15 patrons. Management really needs to pay attention to this location.

They were so willing to accommodate, even with me changing the reservation so many times, they still had the room set up and ready to go. It was around 20 of us and the meal was exceptional. In our opinion the food was good, but pricey (especially the side dishes for the lack of flavor). Our server was extremely rude and gave horrible service. The atmosphere is not as classy and upscale as other Ruth's Chris restaurants. It does have a "hotel" dining room feel. We chose Ruth's Chris for our anniversary dinner. What bothered us the most was the service from David at first it seemed good, but then started deteriorate. The restaurant had plenty of servers and server assistance, hosts, and a manager to give great service from POLITE servers. There were tables still open too. I feel David knew we were waiting way too long for him (taking food order, boxing up food, dropping off check), so he tried to make up for high wait times with 2 complementary oysters (before meal) and a complementary bread pudding (after meal). After he dropped off the latter I said "We really just want our check." Then he responded "This is complementary, on the house. I’m doing this for you. Sorry for trying to do something nice for you.” Later when I was thanking another customer for bringing me my husband's sunglasses, David shushed us while we were quietly talking. Again extremely rude! Other tables he had he was arguing with them and had them waiting too. When asking to speak to the manager, because our server was being extremely rude the hostess said. "Yeah he can be." My husband talked to the manager and she did take something off bill and gave us a gift certificate to try and make it right. Our anniversary dinner was ruined by a rude server and slow service. We will order take out IF we do use it. At a restaurant deemed as fining dining, our service should have been spot on from a POLITE server. And the atmosphere should be more upscale like other Ruth's Chris locations.

On December 1 of last year I took 3 friends to dinner. Which was fine. I used the valet parking service offered out front. My car was brought out front to us and all I could see was the driver’s side. The valet went around opening the passenger door. We got in drove off. I heard a strange noise and when dropping off my friends discovered my right front fender damaged. Called the restaurant and was told parking manager was gone. Restaurant manager Edward assured me they would take care of it. He would have valet manager call me the next day. No one called. I brought the car back Monday and the valet manager said he would file a claim. They decided since I left the restaurant they were not responsible. Restaurant manager Edward then said he would see if Ruth Chris would take care of it but never called me back. I was met with indifference and empty promises. $1200 damage to my car. Beware of valet parking at Ruth Chris

Oh my goodness!! This place is great. So to start off we came on a Wednesday night with no reservation and got a table immediately. The server was instantly there pouring a glass of water. He explained every drink and food item I was interested in. After appetizers my friend had ordered himself a filet steak in which he ended up recieving a ribeye. To be honest we had never noticed until the manager took the time to come to our table and fix our servers accidental mistake and gave us a filet to go. I am so happy with the service we received! I dine there years ago and it was the most elegant experience I had. This time we were celebrating our anniversary and got seated in the middle of the restaurant right in front of a window were several people walk by. We thought we would have an intimate booth with Candlelight. A couple came in with their young daughter about 5 years old. Of course for entertainment was a cell phone to watch cartoons on. Children need to be taught to dine on their own. When each parent went to the bathroom the other parent was on their cell phone. The food was excellent but the atmosphere was not.

If you were ever scared away by Ruth's Chris pricing, you must do Happy hour! Steak bite sandwich, literally melts in your mouth (bearnaise sauce too). We also always get an order or two of their spicy shrimp which makes for a perfectly sized meal. Good wine selection, beers, cider and mixed drinks. You have to hover to find your table as its first come, first serve, but with a little patience, you too will get access to a a very affordable and delicious meal.

Great steaks! The steaks can be a little pricy, but they are so worth it. I would recommend reservations as they tend to get a little busy. If you really, really like Steak try the Tomahawk. Death by beef! The sides are all family style, so one order can usually feed 3. They have a good wine selection too. Parking is a little tight but they offer valet parking to ease that burdon. If you are staying at the Marriott Ruth's is a quick walk across the street. Enjoy!!

How can you screw up a USDA Prime RibEye? They didn’t , yet it came out rare ordered MR wife ordered M came out rare, both steaks got sent back which is not a problem. However when they came back they were both MW we just ate them. But you think they would have systems in place that would make it impossible to get it wrong. I really didn’t want to give negative review but when you pay 56$ + tip for a piece of meat they should get it right. Knew going in it was pricey but steak seemed small in comparison. Service was absolutely 5 star. Steak was delicious! Definitely a must visit! Just make sure you confirm your order.

This was our third time at Ruth Chris. The first two were great. Tonight was not great in any way except for the food. It started with the snooty girls at the front desk lying to us about our table being ready and then seating other people that had come in after us. Once we were finally seated I think our waiter checked on us 3 times in total. I was looking forward to a great experience and what a let down. I should have gone to Applebees and saved a ton of money and probably had better service.

My first time here, we were celebrating the anniversary of our engagement. It was but a moment before we were sat since we arrived early for our reservation. The attention to detail, Happy Anniversary on the menus, little red hearts on the table cloth, and even a card, was very sweet. Our waitstaff pair were excellent with their care in delivering our service. My husband and I ordered the special. A starter, entree, and dessert. My vegetable soup was delicious with crunchy, fresh vegetables and a light broth. The arugula and prosciutto salad my husband chose was very tasty with just the right amount of acidity, sweet, and salty. We both had perfectly cooked, medium rare, 12oz Ribeye steaks, served on 500 degree plates that were the Best steaks that I have had at Any restaurant here in ABQ. The garlic mashed potatoes were so silky as to almost be soupy, and I would have liked more of a garlic taste, but according to my husband, the creamed spinach was really good. Dessert was a perfect, small portion of cheesecake with blueberry sauce and a scoop of Haagen-daz vanilla ice cream. My husband Loved his creme brulee. I feel like if a restaurant has a dress code, as this one does, and it advertises itself as elegant dining, then it shouldn't have a huge TV over the bar! Seriously. There are plenty of restaurants that I can give my money to, even if they don't have the best steaks ever, that I can still enjoy, without a freaking TV! On the us side, it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be.

The most amazing experience I have had. It's our 16 year anniversary and we have been celebrating all month. This was the perfect ending! The staff was so professional and knowledgeable, the drinks were perfect and the food was amazing. The crab stack was the perfect start, my husband had the cowboy steak. I had the crab cakes and we share the lobster mac and cheese (this is a most try) shoe string fries and cream of spinach. One of my favorite places to eat. My wife and I go there weekly. We love the atmosphere in the bar area but that's mainly because of our server/bartender/ staff who participates in our experience. Josh and company do an awesome job. Make a mean lemon drop martini, my wife loves. Steak comes out sizzling on the 800° plus platter. Service, food, drinks and care are all top notch 5 stars all the way.

Went on NYE.. food was really good as usual.. our server was very nice but we ok only saw him 3x during the 2 hours we were there. We sat almost 15 minutes before he came to greet us (bread and water servers came by) again it was nearly an hour after our food came and then not till way after we were finished before bringing the check. It was like he was waiting on just us and the rest of his tables were very far away as we never saw him. Not the typical RC service and noticed neighboring tables getting visited constantly by their servers.

Our visit exceeded those expectations. The staff was extremely attentive, they filled our glasses, took our plates without having to be asked. In all honesty I really only come here for the happy hour menu which turns out to be a good deal for craft cocktails and quality over quantity menu fare. Though this high-end chain restaurant being in Albuquerque means that the usual professional dress code of at least wearing a collared shirt, actually pants and no backwards facing baseball cap can sometimes be ignored in a city used to casual attire.

We always celebrate here for our special occasions. Unfortunately this time there was a bit of a disappointment. Our baked potatoes were cold and raw in the middle, I wondered why the butter wasn't melting. We had to send them back because they were inedible. Instead they substituted shredded potatoes with some kind of cheese on them said they were scalloped potatoes and when the manager came by he tried to tell me that they were the same as a baked potato. Not! Our cocktails were ok, not as strong as I would have thought they should have been. Our steaks were very good as were our salads. Might have been just an off night for them as in the past it is always been very good.

Sadly, our experience tonight will be the last for our family of six at this Portland location. We have dined at fine steak restaurants for years, Ruth’s being one of our past time favorites. However, it was a very disappointing experience tonight. First off, we checked in for a 7:30 reservation and was told our table was being set. We waited and watched several people be seated ahead of us, as it took 30 minutes for our table to be set. Then we were seated upstairs in the corner at a table that was wobbly. We’ve usually sat downstairs which is much nicer. If you dine out frequently, you know the back corner tables are the worst. Our server was friendly but he asked us if we had dined with Ruths before, which we all said yes, several times, except for one. He explained the new items which is fine, but then proceeded to speak to us as if we were idiots. I really felt we were treated very differently. After getting our meals, my husbands rib eye was the worst one yet, tough and hard to cut. One of my sons fillets was cold to the touch in the center which was ordered as medium rare. We hesitated to say something but of course we sent both of them back. My husbands came back better but still not up to standard, even though the server told us it was hand picked. My sons was basically re-cooked, not replaced, still below standard, but he was hungry and just ate it. Maybe it just wasn’t a good weekend for your cuts of meat. Overall, it was not the great dining experience we’ve had in the past, and the food was highly average and was definitely not as good as we’ve had it before. Our oldest son has dined here many times and had the same server before, also not having a good experience, so we wonder if that was related to our dinner tonight? At any rate, thank goodness we had birthday gift cards to put towards our bill. When you spend hundreds of dollars on a meal you hope to have a great time. I’m genetally an extremely generous tipper, usually 20% or higher, but it was difficult to leave even the 12% that I did for a very disappointing meal. Hoping to try again maybe in another city.

I make reservations for Valentines Day 3 weeks ahead and reserve a table in the wall and when we get there they say sorry but they are already taken and when they confirmed my reservations 2 days prior to Valentines Day they said everything is good . I get there and have to wait and then they sit us in regular table . We ask for bread 3 times and finally the bread comes out. Asked for a extra ranch and that never came. I expect to get great food and service if your paying more than $ 200 for your meal. I recommend to go else where. Plenty of places that have better food at half the price. Thumbs down

I chose Ruth's Chris to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We were truly impressed with the whole restaurant. My wife and I both ordered rib eyes and they were cooked to perfection. The sear on the steak was perfect and came out on a hot plate that kept our steak warm through the whole meal. My wife requested A1 steak sauce, I know a steak house sin, but she didn't use one bit of steak sauce for her steak. For sides we chose the scallop potatoes and asparagus. We weren't too impressed with the asparagus but we still give this place 5 stars. We received excellent service. Never did a glass go empty.

I couldn't decide whether or not to give this restaurant 4 or 3 stars, but ultimately I had to go with 3 since 3.5 is not a possible rating to give. The steak was great, however I did notice that all of the steaks at my table that had been ordered medium-rare came out either medium or medium-well. Everyone who ordered a steak got the ribeye and they all came out, well, not medium-rare. One of the people at my table even cut into their steak within seconds of receiving it and there was little to no pink whatsoever. It still needed to sit fit a minute because it is served hot on a very hot plate which resulted in the steak being well overcooked by the time they could actually dig in. My steak was the only one that looked medium rare, but I did order the larger ribeye (the cowboy? Something like that) which the only difference was supposed to be that the bone was in but in actuality the cut is about more than twice as thick. The sides were average at best, but where this place truly shines is in its service... That was until after we paid, we were approached again by the same waitress asking us if we had our card ready after we had given her the card about 5 minutes prior. Overall, the food can be found at the same quality or better for cheaper prices elsewhere. The waitstaff is very polite and knowledgeable, maybe a bit overwhelmed at times but I thought they did a fantastic job for the most part. The manager was also very kind. But I did not come here for the staff, I came for the food which is simply not worth the price you pay.

I ordered a mid rare New York, first steak came out nearly blue rare, sent it back, and it came back medium.. had another one sent out and it was rare again.. by this time my wife had finished her meal.. not going to have a $200 meal for 2 and not get my steak right. Sorry I had to post this, but very disappointed.

Food is great! Service is great! However, overpriced! We eat at Prime streak house in Las Vegas every other year and our bill is half of that of this steakhouse! Same level of great food and service but the Bellagio has spectacular fountains! At Ruth Chris, we were seated within 5 minutes with reservation, drink order and bread after 15 minute, dinner served after another 35 minutes. Our server was professional and nice! The only thing I would change is the prices. For what we paid, you would think that the hostess would hold open the door for you upon leavening when she was not obviously not busy, but hey this is not Chile’s and I have two hands and feet.

Got to the restaurant a little before our reservation and sat at the bar for a drink. The bar was dirty and the bartender coughed many times into his hand and didn't wash his hands afterwards. Needless to say we didn't drink anything that bartender served. Table service was good but my girlfriend ordered her filet medium and it came out rare. Ruth Chris is all about the steaks? Not this time. The floor supervisor admitted the steak was rare, it went back to the kitchen and came back medium. But we didn't really get to eat together because we were waiting on the steak. Very disappointed with this very expensive meal.

I thought this place was very romantic. The wait staff is beyond great... I ordered a very small steak with a lobster tail and when it was brought out half of it ended up on the floor from them trying to take it out of the shell (wasn't our waiter), I let our waiter know and he didn't hesitate or question bringing me out another one.

Seriously amazing!! The best service and wonderful staff. I did get to meet Tom Hanks so that was a major plus. But honestly the service on its own was on point. Some steaks did get mixed up but the manager was very accommodating and made sure to make it up to the table. We'll definitely be back. It is pricey but very worth it! The atmosphere is very fancy feeling so I don't recommend bringing kids though I saw some people with children. Overall we'll definitely be back as soon as we can afford it!!

First time experience and very disappointed. How do you screw up what you are known for. Cold raw steaks in the center that came back as jerkey after sending them back. Staff was attentive but seemed unhappy. Cocktails were good. Overall, not an enjoyable birthday experience.

I struggle with the value... $67 seems high for a steak, but compared to all steak restaurants I've been to, they do it very well. If you have a cast iron skillet, a decent cut of meat, and a little know how, you can reverse-sear your way to this level of quality at home. Although, I hear the tomahawk ribeye is amazing, I just couldn't afford it. The cuts the restaurant chooses are very good. My wife had an amazing filet and with the lobster tail it was a VERY good meal. Overall I'm glad we went. I have mixed feelings about the service. They had some kind of issue with their card machine and ended up maxing out my card then told me it was declined. It got heated but in the end they didnt charge us. The amazing thing was how well the server kept her cool. She was really nice and attentive. I'm not happy that they didn't get paid but there was really nothing I could do if they cant release the authorizations. I feel bad that I yelled at the manager, but they embarrassed the hell out of my wife and I saying the card was declined so loudly. Like I said, I have mixed feelings but up until the end it was everything my wife and I had hoped for our 5 year anniversary! Despite having a very public scene with the manager, we still rate this among out top dinners of all time.

Exactly what you would expect of a Ruth Chris establishment. The service was impeccable from the start. I had a Pomegranate Smash however I was informed all the drinks at the table exceeded expectations. Being from California I was impressed by the quality in preparation on the Swordfish and Shrimp! The steaks are delicious! Overall this is a wonderful dining experience and perfect for date night!

This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The steak tasted moldy and made us sick to our stomach we got food poisoning from our food. When we questioned the odd flavor of the steak to our server he brushed it off as wet aged steak flavor. I have eaten enough steak over 45 years to know what good steak is. This was my worst tasting steak i have ever had. Worst of all for such a highly rated restaurant when we brought this up to our server he brushed us off as ignorant customers.

We went for a nice dinner. Nice atmosphere, waitress was nice. Started with the crab stuffed mushrooms. So good. Warm bread was great also. We ordered 2 Cowboy steaks $65 3 11 oz fillets 50$ asparagus $10 2 salads $20 . We ate our salads and waited, and waited and waited. Finally after 45 mins our steaks came out. 2 were ordered medium (came out more than rare) 1 fillet was supposed to be medium (was rare) 1 medium well. Also rare. The waitress asked about our steaks and we sent them back. Came back out charred on the outside still raw on the inside. My husband and son just wanted to eat so they chocked down as much as they could. My daughter doesn't mind raw I refused hr to eat mine as I can't stand tasting blood. The steaks were tasteless. We are from Oklahoma if you want a great steak go to Cattlemans!!

Nailed the steak (only place in ABQ that has in the last 2 years)! Service - another story..our server was not well trained (for the presumed caliber of this name brand)...was not attentive, and never offered us dessert or coffee after our meal. But, again, the food was great!

Our server Katie was exilent. The steak was superb, the best! Now, the soup was lukewarm and my mashed potatoes we're not hot. I don't blame that on Katie because she got our food to us in record time, it could be they just did not have the heat up high enough. I never like to send things back, so just ate it. But all in all the experience was very good and my wife of 44 years and I had an excellent time together. They also went a little bit out of their way to design our plate for the deserts

Very mediocre steaks, Longhorn/Outback quality for twice the price. I had the Ribeye and was pretty unimpressed. The bartender spent 15 minutes boasting about how amazing the steaks were there, yet they couldn't even cook a medium rare correctly. They also over-charged my card which I had to call to correct. Not sure how you accidentally do that. Even after a few bourbons, the steak was just ok. I highly reccomend going elsewhere for steaks.

I hope you are lucky enough to have him as your server. The food was beyond the definition of the word delicious. This was my first time eating here (I live out of state), and I hope I get to return.
