Excellent food. Isaiah wad a perfect attendant. The place was pretty sparse for the after church crowd. I think people may be thinking the construction makes it tough to access the place. Not true. I wish Joe would take a look at DH Lacombe to add to the NM wines. Trite phrase but really "Eat at Joe's."

I threw my daughter's baby shower here today! We had just under 30 guests. The service we received was phenomenal! Our waiter had his hands full and never missed a beat! He saw to our every need and was so polite and attentive!! And then there was the food!! Absolutely delicious! Every person told me how great their food was! And so much food you had to take it home. The owner, Joe, made sure we were pleased with everything! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Best Italian food in the state!

First off I am not a big fan of Italian food but Joe's Pasta House has made me a believer of quality Italian food. This is not some corporate run of the mill place but rather a owner that actually cares to produce quality food. I live on the east side and it is worth the trip to the far west side just to dine here. Staff is friendly, the food is prodigious and this place is the epitome of what every Italian restaurant should strive to be. To Joe and his staff ******KUDOS******

Meh. I was getting the lunch buffet. It's not situated in the best location. Super high foot traffic. I felt as though I was in the way. The real deal breaker came when I was heading towards the Spaghetti and meatball sauce, was cut in front of by a server that dumped meatballs in and then dumped all the meatball water in. Totally watered down the sauce. She was coughing quite hard as well (mentioning it as she was heading over to fill the Spaghetti sauce). When you are handling folks food... stay home if your sick.

Love this place! Staff was incredibly friendly from the time we walked in until we left. For example, our baby dropped a toy on the ground and a passing server stopped and went out of their way to get it for us. The food was absolutely amazing as well. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat in the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque area. The food is always tasty and seasoned just right. The staff and owner are always friendly and make you feel welcome. I appreciate that this restaurant is always clean as well as the restrooms and the buffet is always kept supplied with fresh food. I have been eating here for a few years now and I’ve never been disappointed. I was recently present when an inconsiderate lady acted irrational and rude toward the owner. She has posted a negative review for this restaurant, but I was there when she was yelling and cursing at the owner in front of everyone as he was POLITELY explaining why her small children couldn’t stick their hands in the buffet food. The owner, Joe, handled the situation very professionally and I was sad to see how disrespectful some people can be. It’s a shame how some people think this behavior is acceptable. I give this restaurant a big thumbs up and I will always return to enjoy the great food and service that I have enjoyed for the past years.

My husband and I went to Joe's Pasta house for a Sunday date night dinner. It had been a while since we had eaten there. The wine and food were absolutely wonderful! The Shimp Scampi appetizer was amazing! We also had the nicest young man serve us, Elijah was his name. Excellent attitude and was really on top of things. When we were asking for a lot in the beginning and I apoligized for being demanding, he grinned and said he was thankful to have a couple of tables to serve (it was the beginning of the dinner crowd). We would highly recommend anyone who wants great Italian food and great service go there!

Joe's Pasta House is the best restaurant I've ever been to. The first thing I noticed when entering the building eased the amazing atmosphere, the inside is decorated with beautiful paintings and ivy leaves. Its bright enough to see everything but dark enough to be calming and comfortable. The service was tremendous, even though we were seated in almost a secluded area our waiter was always there when we needed him and had some great suggestions for the menu. Now the best part about this experience by far, was the food. My family loves Italian food so we eat it often but Joe's Pasta House is on another level completely. The flavors melded into each other but were still unique and the meat was so tender. The servings were large but everything tasted so delicious we finished the whole plate. I wish I had saved space for dessert so we could have tried that too. I would definitely suggest this restaurant to anyone considering it.

I am a regular customer at this place. Today I came for their lunch buffet. The food is great quality. They had mussels, and they were very fresh. They were not over cooked. I tried the green chile pork with pasta. It was great, pork was tender and seasoned just right. But by far my favorite is their meatballs. They are not to big. Very tender, and just the right seasoning. For dessert they have freshly baked cookies that are just right. The wait staff is very nice, and attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It is worth a trip to Rio Rancho.

Nearly 10 years since we've visited Rio Rancho after moving to Texas. Great memories but today we walked in and were offered the buffet before the option stopped in 2 minutes after our arrival for the buffet. After being seated and drink order. I was going to take advantage of the buffet, however our server said it was too late. Later after my family ordered he offered the buffet since two other patrons were still eating from it. I refused to order our eat. Last time I visit. Too bad service was not what it used to be.

Another amazing night at Joe’s. There food never disappoints! One of their specials tonight were sea scallops with risotto and it melted in your mouth. Family friendly, attentive servers, satisfying Italian food, a crowded busy popular place. There was a live musician on guitar; his volume was unobtrusive and he enhanced the lively atmosphere. Wine selections were ample; all food portions were ample; the meal was enjoyable across the board; the dessert selections were impressive and satisfied children who begged for the treat after seeing what was offered. Those who are lucky to live nearby have a neighborhood gem.

Great place for Italian food. We don't live in Rio Rancho but we make the drive out to Joe's because the food is good. They have a wide variety of Italian classics and appetizers. We always leave here full. Joe's also does catering and their pricing is very reasonable. If you like Italian food, defiantly go and give Joe's a try.

You want great food? You want great service? This is your place. The seafood dishes are out of this world and I lived in Fort Lauderdale for 11 years. Do yourself a favor and spend an evening here. Don't forget to get yourself some homemade tiramisu for dessert. You won't be disappointed.

We have been going to Joe's Pasta House for several years now. When I explain going, I mean we're going at least 2 times per month. The food is usually always delicious and the only reason I deduct 1 star is due to the excessive wait times sometimes. I see Joe's growing so rapidly that you would think they would have found a way to expand by now to accommodate wait times and minimal wait seating. Other than that, I will keep returning to Joe's for delicious pasta and tasty bread. I've noticed several comments on price but I certainly think the price is worth the service.

My family and I visited Joe's today. They ordered from the menu and I tried the buffet. Absolutely delicious! Crispy salad, Eggplant Parmesan, Baked Herbed Chicken, Noodles with Marinara Sauce, Vegetable Medley, Bread topped with Pesto and Cheese (exceptional) and Soup were my choices. They had desserts but we ordered a Cheesecake Cone drizzled with Caramel and Chocolate with Berries on the side. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Impeccable service. Has the charm of an Old World Italian Restaurant. Moderately priced. Friendly staff. The best Italian restaurant in Rio Rancho.

Ziti Florentine with shrimp. Came out with a watery soup in the bottom and mushrooms that were still crunchy, almost raw. I had to go to the bathroom and vomit. Not sure if I had the wrong idea, but isn’t Florentine usually a creamy sauce? Lost my appetite - guy who really nicely chased us out into the parking lot with the food I didn’t take, I would have loved to have it remade however I just wanted to go home and try to salvage the rest of our date night. Hopefully you have a better dining experience than I did.

"Delicious food! Terrific service. Our waiter made us feel like we were the only ones in a packed restaurant on a Saturday night". This is my previous review. You had responded back asking for our waiters name, but I don't know how to reply to your comment, so I'll just write another review. I cant remember his name but it was Saturday night August 11th around 6:30pm. He was a tall, thin build man with a bubbly and accommodating personality, I'm guessing he was in his early 40's. He was the best waiter I've ever had. He was very sweet to our 1 1/2 year old son. We just wanted to say thank you and we will definitely be returning.

Best food I’ve had in a very long time!! Definitely hands down good food. We went last night, we walked in and joe was the one who greeted us. Our waiter was so good, he was very fast and never left our drinks empty. I loved that the bathroom had a changing table in it and the restaurant was very nice. We got the spaghetti with meatballs and sausage as well as shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. Wish I could have got dessert but we got stuffed pretty fast. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be coming back.

We just moved to Rio Rancho from New Jersey where there are many Italian restaurants owned and run by first or second generation Italian Americans. We love Mexican food but once in a while crave Italian. Two people recommended Joe’s Pasta House so we tried it. We were pleased! There is an extensive menu with just about every dish offered with s choice of protein and a choice of sauce, it may take you a while to decide. Meanwhile, munch on the good bread with excellent bruschetta salsa that will appear on your table. The service could not possibly have been more efficient or courteous, The portion size is very generous. I got two meals out of my leftovers.

Oh my goodness! If you have not eaten here yet, then it is time to stop whatever else you are planning and go now. We picked it on a whim and pretty much fell in love. My husband and I ordered the strumbocci or whatever it was called. It was amazing. I will add a photo, but it was so good, I ate half of it before getting a photo. I might have even asked the waitress to box up my extra sauce to go home and put on other noodles. The desserts where fantastic. Beautifully presented and delicious tasting. The bread at the beginning was homemade and came with a tomato bruschetta mixture to put on it, so yummy! Lastly, I really appreciated that everyone we interacted with seemed really happy to be working here. It was great customer service.

Excellent food! We were throwing our twin boys a graduation party and they requested Italian food. We decided to order Joe’s Pasta House and it was the best decision we made! My husband and I went and had lunch one day to get a better idea of what to order. That was a pleasant experience. We told our waitress what we were doing and she went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered. We were able to place an order with confidence that we were getting everything we needed to host a great party. All of our guests were very impressed with the food. They had seconds and some had thirds. We received several texts asking us again where we got the food from and feedback from our guest that it was amazing! Joe’s Pasta house is always good. Everything is fresh, and tastes wonderful. Thank you Joe’s Pasta House for everything!

Went on Father's Day for lunch. The only place we went to where everyone wished me a Happy Fathers Day. The oven fresh bread with oil to snack on is the best! We must have eaten 5 slices per person! It was so good! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was delightful. Our waiter was the best. On top of refills and clearing plates and just all around pleasant to talk with. The food was hot, and came out quickly. We passed on the lunch buffet because it looked uninviting. We ordered lasagna and fettuccini alfredo. The lasagna was hot and brought out quickly which tells me it isn't made on order. More like warmed up to order. The alfredo pasta was a little undercooked and the sauce was bland. Prego has a better flavor. It was really dark inside and when we opened the blind behind our booth they told us to close it. The staff was not very friendly or welcoming. This is the best, most authentic Italian food in the area. I prefer ordering from the menu for dinner but the lunch buffet offers incredible value and variety as well. The take out buckets are fantastic for quick meals and feed many in the event you have unexpected company to your home. I really enjoy the southwestern fettuccine Alfredo for a local spin. Definitely consider this place for a great dining experience.

Everything I've ever had at Joe's has been delicious! Today we picked up their take-out "Big Bucket" family size meal, which is *always* a winner - we usually get the spaghetti and meatballs option but there's a few other choices like an Alfredo, etc. It's literally a bucket (same size as a bucket of fried chicken - huge!) full of delicious, fresh, spaghetti and meatballs - I *mean* delicious - then a second bucket (same size) of salad that's always super fresh (romaine, I think, with sliced cucumber and cherry tomatoes), and a full loaf of French bread. Comes with plenty of parm, Italian dressing, and homemade Ranch (mmm, the *good* Ranch). I know I've totally overused the word "delicious", but it's just the best word for all of it! Also, this is my go-to whenever I want to bring a meal to someone, like a family with a new baby, that kind of thing. It is always a hit! {Once I brought it to a family of 7 with a new baby, alllll boys except mama, and it fed their entire family TWICE! I told ya it was huge...and did I mention delicious?}

Today I visited this place for the first time. It’s a nice group of people, food is very homey, atmosphere is great, everybody is kind and Joe was really nice and welcoming, he treats his restaurant as his own house (I can tell!) I wanted to share that I experienced twice in my short 2 hour visit how kind the staff is with seniors!!! They go above and beyond, I saw a waiter taking a senior customer to her car by offering her his arm and walking slowly with her to the car. They call the customers by their names with a humongous smile (like they are family) and what can I say!?!? I’m coming back!!!! Nice nice nice!!!!

Excellent food and service. I had the chicken parmesan with spaghetti. The chicken was moist and delicious, good portions too. The server was excellent. It was a comfortable quiet atmosphere. I was able to talk to and hear the people sitting at my table, I like that.
