Very laid back and friendly environment. My wife and I stopped here on the way back from a hike in the White Mountains and the food was delicious. The staff are very friendly and some folks shared their table with us because we couldn't find a seat. 5 stars on food, service and the locals. Can't wait to stop here again for lunch!

What a gem. Not only is the food here EXCELLENT, but the folks who run it and their staff are a warm, inviting and happy lot. I love that they promote the local wineries, along with local farmers and their stunning NH produce. Their beautiful storefront is just like stepping back in time, and the walls - hung with hundreds of historical photos and signs - nod to the history of the original Robie's. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

In the area this is a must go to place for breakfast or lunch. Amber and her staff are just GREAT, local places are worth the trip. If you on 93 take exit 11, short ride off the exit you will not regret it. Everything is excellent

Angela Gonzalez

What a great place. The breakfast was delicious and it's inside a legit country store from the 1900's. Tin ceilings, the original post office area where people would come get their mail. And did I mention breakfast was delicious!

Ed Karjala

Cool historic spot, full of artifacts from the early 20th century on. Food from Roots is always fresh and amazing. Definitely a top 3 breakfast spot in S. NH!

Mark Kohls

Only been in for coffee since the reopen, bit the staff is friendly and the environment is warm and inviting. Good to see people staying and eating which is a good sign for how the place is operating.

A pal and I stopped here for lunch while taking a day off to have a motorcycle cruise in September. The staff were very friendly, our orders were prepared quickly, and the food was delicious. I can't remember what my friend had, but I had a bacon cheeseburger sub and it was *awesome*. The pickles on the side were fantastic, too...not sure if they were home-made but they too were awesome...large, crunchy half-sours. We definitely liked that this place was kind of a "spot" - when we were eating out at the picnic tables, locals appeared in droves to get their food and shoot the breeze with the employees and other customers. Telling, too, was the fact that a number of them, keenly observing that we were a bunch of city boys "not from around there" went out of their way to tell us how good this place was, and to tell our friends. Next time we ride up that way, I'm sure we'll be stopping in again. Highly recommend this place. It's a greasy spoon, make no mistake, but you'll love it.

Todd Smith

Great atmosphere along with fabulous food. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. On weekends hard to get a table unless you're early. Rise and shine to get a table.

Todd Nelson

Great breakfast

Very nice.service is great served with smiles and great personality !!

CRAZY OWNERS!!! The new operator Amber Enright is the WORST person you could be working for! She is insane, makes up things, lies, is very hostile and treats employees with disrespect. She had her husband fire me by text late at night. No decency and doesn't know how to delegate, lead, or have people skills. I walked in very nicely and asked to talk to her and she threatens me and my mom by saying she will call the cops on us if we don't leave and says I'm insane. She sabotaged me, and was two faced with me the entire time I worked for them. But don't take this review as a down to the store. The store is great. But owners suck. Watch out for her! She is shady, and manipulative. It's sad. Wish that nice people ran this place.

Bruce and I were their 1st wedding on April 23rd. Amber and Josh, Jane and everyone ...were just wonderful, helpful, supportive and amazing! Everyone raved about the food and attentiveness. It's a unique and amazing venue!! I highly recommend this adorable store and the new management!!!!

Delicious! Every ingredient in my scramble (and my husband's benedict) stood out with it's own, fresh, perfectly harmonized flavor. A new favorite breakfast location.

Keep your political views private. Lost my business, and everyone I know in Hooksett. Coffee is always cold.

Great Selection of Salads and Sandwiches!! Be sure to explore the back rooms for hidden treats from local product producers!!!! Bone Daddy BBQ Sauce and Laurel Hill Jams to mention just a couple of my Favorites!!!!!!!

Stefan Philbrook

Yum!

Sonja Ricker

Always great service. You can dine in, take out, or get some amazing coffee! Their deli meats are delicious, a wonderful wine selection, and pastries are fresh baked daily. When you combine that with giant cookies, you just can't go wrong! :)

Nicholas Mercier

Great food and service. First class experience.

Plenty of food, nice atmosphere. They could use a better toaster. My toast wasn't (Toasted). Eggs were done right, bacon was big and tasty and if you order pancakes, they are huge and served with maple syrup, not Aunt Jemima. Definitely worth going for breakfast or lunch. I think the proprieter's used to run Jewel and rg a Beanstalk which was a great place for lunch in nearby Manchester.

We ordered the Business Meeting Special for our monthly sales meeting for 42 people. The wraps were fabulous, and the salad was fresh and inviting with delicious home made dressings. The brownies were killer good and my crew is still raving about the quality of the food. Our delivery driver Jim was efficient and friendly and Josh and Amber were great to deal with on the phone and via email. I thought the price was very reasonable considering all the food that we got! I have never eaten there but if the catering is as good as the food served on site, then I would highly recommend this place. A wonderful experience all the way through and we will definitely order from them again!!! High quality, fresh and delicious, great service, reasonable prices - how can you beat that!!! Thank you Robies's!!!!! Patsy Sinclair Anacki Horizon Beverage Company Concord NH

Wife and I had an impromptu brunch and loved it! Hostess sat us right away at the Chef's table next to the kitchen where Chef Amber greeted us with some fantastic pumpkin bread! Our food came out in a timely manner and was very flavorful. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend and we'll definitely be back!

Very good food for a good price. Nice flavor.

This is just about the only place within a 20 mile radius I can think of where you can buy a meal that tastes like a home cooked meal and isnt fat and salt laden to the point that you’re joining the 68% of the population that is overweight, with nearly 40% being obese. Food tastes like actual food not processed junk like everywhere else. Simple dining experience, fair prices, good portions. What more do you want? ...other than being open more hours...a good problem! Been patronizing them since their days at Jewel in the Beanstock in Manchester.

High quality, fresh food....consistently. Friendly owners and staff. Worth the trip.

First time visit and everything is fantastic. We were seated in the back room by the window overlooking the river, great atmosphere, excellent food and very friendly staff! We'll definitely be back :)

Harold Kozlowski

The new management (Roots Cafe) really know what they are doing. No more endless waits for food like before. Delicious breakfast and lunch options in a unique, truly New England location. The walls are adorned with antiques and old presidential memorabilia. It's like eating in a museum.

Great food and atmosphere, definitely worth checking out. We had the river eggs Benedict with fresh dill and a homemade scone, yum. You can take a boat too, there is a nice beach to park for eating there or taking a lunch/breakfast out on the water.

I have been here three times now and every time is just another mistake after the last. The first two times I came to this location the food was not what I ordered. I understand mistakes happen but two times on different locations is unacceptable. Now going back the third time after ordering our food I had to wait around an hour for the food to even show up. It was very discouraging to see others show up and order much later than I did and leave with food while I still sat at the table waiting for my own. This could have easily been remedied by simply communicating what is happening to us so we are not expecting our food when the order has not even been put in. Also after waiting an hour for the food there was no offer to take anything off the bill or compensate me in any way for the outrageous wait. Even something as a simple apology could have gone a long way. I will not be coming back after three failed attempts I feel that I have given them more than a fair chance to show to me that they are professional and can make good food.

Danielle Brennan

The airpots keep the coffee nice and fresh! Love it!

Robie's is a charming bit of old New Hampshire. From the pressed tin ceiling to the walls covered in political memorabilia of campaigns that stopped here over the years Robie's has the feel of the old village general store. The food is fantastic and abundant, the staff are friendly and engaging. It is a stop well worth your time.

Ron Moses

Michael Johnson

Amaze breakfast and great selection of flavored coffees. Can be a busy on weekends for breakfast but well worth the wait. Decor is entertaining, historic and educational! Ordering is a little unconventional but sometimes different is better! Wait for a table, look at the menu, order at the counter.

Roots Catering took over operations of Robie's Country Store in January 2016 and opened March 2. New menu featuring outstanding breakfast classics, Benedicts, scrambles, and fresh baked scones, quiches, and frittatas. Lunch features home-made soups, vibrant salads, and hot and cold sandwiches. We feature slow rise Nashoba Brook Bakery for all our bread. The market is stocked with NH made products only. Fantastic selection of chocolates, candies, baking supplies, jewelry, and more. Coffee and espresso bar by Java Tree--a small-batch local roaster. We feature North Country Smokehouse all-natural meats with our breakfasts along with local sourced produce. Come by and see us at the new Robie's for breakfast and lunch! Visit our website for evening events such as open mic, art shows, cooking classes, and more!

Excellent local spot - you can't go wrong. No, it doesn't look like much from the outside and you probably drive by it all the time, but GO INSIDE. Just trust me. Door is on the left side of the building.

Food not that bad until we noticed the painting of someone in the blackface on the wall. Blackface is overt racism and no matter your anything, that’s wrong and incredibly telling of the people that run this place. Will not be giving my business again.

Robert Lichenstein

Whatever backwater nutjob leaves one star for this place is out of their mind. We stopped in on a road trip and had the best service I've had north of the mason-dixon line. They have amazing food, coffee, and a very friendly and attentive wait staff despite a crowded room. Highly recommend.

Food was excellent, everything was made fresh from locally/responsibly sourced goods. Portion sizes were large despite low overall cost of the dishes and staff was friendly which more than made up for a slightly slow service. They offer take out dishes as well as a few different general store type goods. Coffee is self serve as well as water though they can bring you a bottle of water if asked.

Chricke

Lovely place, great food! It feels genuine with all the old memorabilia and antiques, the staff is very friendly and the food was really fresh and tasty! Happy we decided to drop in for lunch, will visit again!

Jane Davis

This wonderful setting right alongside the Merrimack River is such a friendly, inviting and historic spot. It dates back to the 1800s and has long been known for presidential stumping during the first in the nation primary NH is known for. Amber is all about wholesome, unadulterated food which she doles out with generosity. Great coffee to go if you are on the run but you should try to make a longer stop to take in the great details of the building that was originally a general store. You won't find the likes of this place in many places anymore and the owners are committed to keep it this way.
