Awesome atmosphere with and amazing menu. The food is delicious and always delivered with care that reflects in the flavors and service. The staff is very knowledgeable about the large selection of wines they carry and the pairings are spot on. There is a very formal , romantic ambiance to the main dinning and a modern upscale lounge section that still offers the same menu with a more casual conversational experience. Phenomenal service and food! The special tonight was a surf and turf type with amazing blackened salmon, steak, parmesan risotto and the best miso brussel sprouts I've ever had! Yummmm. The pink lemonade cheesecake was divine and the watermelon bombe was EXACTLY what our server described: a summer afternoon. Always great food, always great service!

Our meal at the venue was fantastic - service is great and the food is wonderful. As a vegan, I was not sure of the options I would have but our waitress offered a vegan meatball dish that was not yet on the menu; it was outstanding. Our waitress also informed me that the bread served before the meal was also vegan-friendly. This was the best meal I have had at a restaurant in my 2 years of being vegan and I highly reccommend that people check it out.

Always great food— tasty, freshly prepared, and attractively presented. We frequently go for lunch. The Venue Trio ( half sandwich, cup of soup, and a house salad) is the best deal in town at $10! Tea and soda included. Helpful wait staff willing to make recommendations. Highly recommend the Hungarian wild mushroom soup and the crab bisque. Each is creamy and flavorful. My friend had the prime rib sandwich in his Trio and said it was tender. The chicken breast sandwich has a tangy aioli. The club sandwich is packed with meat. Can’t go wrong at the Venue for lunch!

I love when we do hours of research just for a dinner spot, and it turns out to not let us down, which I believe happens a lot. If I had to rate Venue's "easy to find from the street", then it would get a 0/5, hence the term "Diamond in the Rough". Of course every rating is based of certain individuals experiences, so our 5 reflects ours. First, I had seen that a lot of people complained about the hostess never being available, which could mean things? I guess? I dunno. We made a reservation so it was all good as soon as she arrived to check us in. Great atmosphere. I say atmosphere for lack of a better term. The initial dining room was a big circle. Everyone could see everyone. It was a real nice design. They had a large snowflake Christmas Tree "sculpture" - again, lack of a better term - in the middle of the room which made for a nice picture. Which... we forgot to get. Anyways, the fooooood.

First time for my hun and I here. The service was awesome! Cody, our server, did an excellent job explaining everything and the specials! He was very attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious especially the mac and cheese. I got a weekly special steak, which was cooked amazingly. A little sauce helps pop out the steak too. It does take some time to make everything but well worth the wait! Definitely returning!

I have been this Resturant on several occasions but for business and pleasure and I am yet to be disappointed. One the best upscale restaurants in Lincoln yet on the weekends the bar is always full and the conversation keeps going if you want enjoy Lincoln without been downtown this is the place to be. I always get the Seafood trio and my complain is always the same I want bigger portion sizes OK you have to understand I live in Nawlins and we want Lagniappe.....more extra. This place is also great for a date first on not it's fantastic.

The food lived up to the promises of the menu! The harvest board with 3 cheeses was excellent. I had the quiche of the day which was spinach and Gouda. It was light and delicate layers, with flaky crust. The creme brulee was small, but just the right size to finish with a sweet ending. I look for to my next visit!!

Venue has improved drastically from where they were years ago. Horrible management that has since been replaced. Run by a different chef from a few years ago too. The service and food are wonderful and they anticipate your needs like a service staff ought to. Something that has been lost in Lincoln has again been found.

Arrived at 11 AM for lunch. Service was outstanding. Lots of appealing choices on the menu for lunch. Had the best pastrami Reuben I've ever eaten. Six associates all enjoyed their choices as well. Prices are very reasonable. Great place for Saturday lunch. Great soup- wild rice & mushroom. Quiet and conducive to conversation.Out of town traveler, exploring new neighborhoods and found this gem. Will need to continue to explore the menu. Loved the ahi tuna. Chloe B. was a super great server.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Venue. I have a food allergy, so they prepared a special dinner for me and my husband. Everything was delicious and the staff was fantastic. Then, after we paid the bill, the manager came over to give us a gift card and apologized for the wait for our dinner to arrive. Couldn't be happier with this restaurant, the staff and the chef. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lincoln. I love the chicken salad croissant and the desserts. My husband and I go here most game days because it's when we are in town. Sometimes you will need a reservation so if it's right at peak times it would be a good idea to call ahead. They do have a nice seating area in the bar that's pretty large and you can eat in there as well, especially good if you want to watch a game. It looks more upscale but I've gone in a sweatshirt on game day and the staff is always super nice and doesn't ever look at me strangely. You can see the kitchen work away while you wait and it always seems very calm and like they are smoothly operated. I'm a fan.

Had a reservation and seated on time. That is the good experience of the night. Was given our drink and ordered our food and after over an hour without anyone coming to our table we requested the manager. We heard them talking they were waiting on our scallops. What takes an hour for scallops? Manager comes over and never explains or apologized. Five minutes later we get our dinners. The lobster was cold and hard as a rock but the bowl was super hot. Assuming it was sitting under a warmer for an hour. My scallops were half cooked. Still opaque in color. Called over manager again. And the lobster was nor charged since she just gave it back. No apology. We left feeling $150 robbed and very very hungry. I would rate a -10 if I could.

We told them (in our reservation) we were coming for our anniversary and they took it to heart! Hostess searched out quiet table in back area on purpose and added a nice Happy Anniversary sheet for table decorations. Waiter offered free champagne for toast, which I'm not aware of anyone else in town providing. Big plus. Ordered 3 from the sea (shrimp, scallops and small salmon fillet) on top of some tasty risotto. Hubby ordered lobster tail and got even better risotto with asparagus and peas. There was enough we each took some home but many people would be able to finish. Will def return and may keep it as a "special" meal location since they made dinner feel so, well, SPECIAL. Also our waiter, Otto, was just the best!! He made great recommendations, was not impatient with my many questions and timed his visits to the table pretty close to perfectly. Know we will return esp when looking for that feeling of being pampered.

This is the second time we elected to stay at this hotel. It's convenient to I-80 and easy to find. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing, with all sorts of gluten-free options and very good labeling of allergens in the available food.
