2-21-18 I was in Garden Cafe yesterday around 1 pm. An employee named Robert tried to to ignore the fact that a toothpick had been cooked into my food. I called him over to show it to him and tell him that the toothpick was in my food. He proceeded to explain why it was in my food instead. There was no kind of compensation of my meal. Robert didn't realize the damage that may have been done to me. We were charged full price for my meal. Never go back to Garden Cafe. I'm going to notify the BBB.

I'm re-writing this review bc they keep deleting it off the page and doesn't want anyone to know the truth! First off AGAIN, I drove all the way from Grand Island, Ne and wanted to have a relaxing meal. Inside the restaurant, there was no air conditioning and all the staff could say was "there hasn't been air conditioning in 30 years, but my boss just bought one". The service was horrible!!! We couldn't even enjoy the meal bc it was so hot in there and we were sweating and our clothes were sticking to us. Our server kept rushing us bc he wanted to leave, the food was horrible. My daughter ordered corndogs and they looked like burnt old rotten meat wrapped in molded bread. The only good thing about our meal was the water, iced tea and side salads bc they were cold and it cooled us off. Tried talking to the manager and she acted like she could care less. For the prices we paid it was a waste of money and would've had better service and meal at McDonalds. We will NEVER go there again and will tell others as well.

The minute you walk in, the place absolutely reeks of mold or something awful. I think it may be the carpet, and other upholstery, that has been there literally for years. It reminds me of when a place floods, and the way the carpet can smell once it's been damaged. Seriously, it stunk so bad we had to leave.

In my many years of eating out I have never once left a zero tip. Well today I did, the worst service ever with attitude from the server. We ordered a cinnamon. The roll it came out cold not room temperature ice cold. I asked for a warm roll the server must have put the first one in the microwave and brought back a bowl of frosting soup with a roll in the middle. Never once did SHE refill my coffee I had to beg other servers for some. We waited over 10 mins for our bill tried to use pinpoint and she said I gave her the wrong scan (with attitude) maybe I did but she did not need to act this way. Since we eat out regularly every Saturday and Sunday for breakfast I think I know what service is. This was not subpar it was horrible service. The food was very crammed on to a salad plate. The food was at best mediocre. Why we ever gave it another chance is beyond me. I remember mister owner years ago when I mentioned to you it is important to refill coffee your comment "well the only make the much $$ what do you expect". I expect a refill at least once from the person asking for a tip.

Nice restaurant with old fashioned ambience. I picked to go food and felt the food was prepared from scratch and tasted great. Great service from the people and you have groupon options if you want to try for the first time. I want to try dining in one day with my family.

You guys need to be profesional with all your customers and don't assume that they can't pay only because they look "latino". This is outrageous. A lady post in our group that you guys mistreated her and the server thought that would not be avaible to pay (by the way she is a bussines woman). Watch out, the Latino community is not only big but have the support of other communities and people. We're all humans with humans rights... believe it or not.

If you are looking for a great Breakfast, you need to check out the Garden Cafe in Rockbrook Village! We all know that they have a fantastic catering service but don't forget the food they serve is outstanding! We love the Veggie omelet and you can't go wrong with their pancakes and waffles! The service is spot on, the food is served fresh and hot as it should be! In short you will not be disappointed! If you have never been there you need to try it, if its been awhile since you have gone to The Garden, its time to return! Enjoy!!

It's ok, the cinnamon rolls may be a little old and chewy and a lot of the menu seems to be potato based, potato casseroles for example, which are mostly potatoes (which are cheap so they can keep the cost down). But it isn't bad, just nothing special.

Food and service at Garden Cafe cafe is awesome. Love it when the waiters and waitresses always speak and joke a bit with customers. Love the customer service at the Garden!. Food is always tasty and plentiful. They really do love food! We have also used the carry out for our family gatherings during holidays. All I know is it saves me a lot of work! Highly recommend the cafe for all your needs.

We have used Garden Café twice for manager lunches and the experience each time has been incredible! Paul and Brent have more than tended to our requests and on short notice. The food was incredibly fresh and all homemade. The pricing was extremely reasonable. My company has been very satisfied with Garden Café and will be using again in the very near future. I highly recommend to any and all who want an excellent homemade meal with excellent service.

The first and original! Garden Cafe, in the Omaha rockbrook shopping Center has always been one of my favorites. I grew up a few blocks away, and went to RockBrook elementary school. As kids we would always walk through the Rockford shopping center to and from school everyday. The garden Cafe is a great restaurant. Excellent food, excellent pastries and desserts. Staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. Many of my friends in high school even worked there. Reasonably priced with a seasonally rotated menu, you're sure to find something delicious. I would highly recommend it. Plan to get there early because there's always a large crowd. Bon appetit!

Garden Cafe has been in a slow decline for years now. Once a go-to for breakfast and lunch offerings, Garden Cafe is hit or miss with quality, service, and the condition of the restaurant. Too many food choices in Omaha to choose Garden Cafe right now. I’m hopeful they can turn it around and this once popular Omaha destination rises to prominence again.

Had to wait 20 mins before we were seated and then another 20 to get our drinks. Our server was nowhere to be found and the cooks brought out our appetizer and got us refills. After another half hour we got our food and it was cold. All and all we spent around 2 hours at the restaurant for no service and cold food. My family and i will never eat here again.

Quiche was rubbery, fruit had spoiled smells. Muffins were several days old. Utensils were dirty. Decor showing its age. Waiter was not quite in the game. Garden Cafe has seen much better days. We used to be a big fans. Without an overhaul I feel the restaurant is coming to an end.

I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast which tasted like dish soap or some kind of cleaner and host or manager tried to tell me I was wrong because he's eaten it many times - what a jerk!!!! The Garden Cafe is a great place. My wife and I went there for breakfast on Sundays and believe me I thought the place would be crammed packed full of people and it was busy but the service was excellent. The people at the Garden Cafe work as a team to bring a good meal to your table, all of it for a price that's better than many places I have been to. This is an Omaha original and one of the ones that make this town an eaters paradise. I suggest you go there, I will be going back many times, and we tell our friends about the place regularly it's really that good.

Food was good but felt rushed. We ordered a soup and salad and asked to have them before our meal. They ended up bringing them out with our meal. It wasn't just us either. We noticed it happened to the tables surrounding us also. Also, the drinking cups def weren't washing correctly. They were all dirty.

Unfortunately we were unable to eat there as we got there just after 3, (poor planning on my part). We had 3 adults and 7 (starving) children, again completely bad planning on my part. The manager was so sweet even asked the kitchen staff if they could swing it, but they had already poured cleaner on the grills, (understandable). I bought some muffins to keep the kids from going into zombie mode, but the manager did one better and gave them ALL a cookie!! Thank you so much Garden Cafe!! When we lived there it was one of my favorite places to eat after church!
