Home sweet home! Nice to come in here for a home cooked meal. If my wife isn't cooking, this usually is my pick. Chicken fried steak with taters and gravy.

Went there for lunch with a friend. Everything we had was made fresh, which was nice, however the food was under seasoned, no salt was put into anything we had. I ordered a steak, which was cooked to order, but like everything else had no seasoning to speak of, was very bland. The only thing I could taste was the acrid burnt char taste from the grill. For me it wasn't worth the trip out there, we just really wanted to try the onion rings, but again no seasoning in the batter. Kind of a shame, this was all very fixable, hope the business owners see this and take it into consideration. I'll give them credit for cooking from scratch, but they really need to give it a little bit of seasoning to give their food some flavor.

Great food, amazing staff. Portions are large and taste like grandma used to make. Chicken fried steak was fork tender, chicken fried chicken was moist and amazing. Once you make it past the mind explosion from the main course sink your teeth into the amazing homemade pies.

Came in for Mother's day at 6pm. The greeting we recieved at the door was a disrespectful "Were closed!" Your site says your open till 8:30pm. If you were not open a respectful I'm sorry we are closing for the night would be nice. Too disrespectful for me. Wont be back.

Dont buy chicken. They cut breast into pieces. Then charge you as if you had 3 whole breast meals. It was dry over cooked food. Take my advice not worth the money.

A few decades ago this place gave me my first job washing dishes. I haven't eaten here since. Our visit home got extended and we were running out of favorite restaurants so we decided to give it a try. 3 out of 3 meals were good, so no complaints on the food. The wait staff was friendly and prompt, they get two thumbs up there. The only reason I didn't go 5 stars was the seating. Maybe it was just our booth, but I'm pretty sure the spring in the seat got to third base with me before the end of the meal. In my opinion spending a few dollars to freshen up the dining room would be money well spent.

Best chicken in Omaha? No way!! I would rather have had chicken McNuggets from across the street. Dry dry dry! You have to really mess up to dry out a chicken thigh! And where’s the flavor?! I had to dump salt and pepper all over it just so I could taste it! My mashed potatoes were cold and the gravy was bland. The Mac and cheese tastes exactly like KFC’s! The only people I know that like this place are the elderly with their worn out taste buds! They get one star for decent onion rings.

Been trying to get my mother to Jack & Mary's for some time but Uber or Lyft wants $15.00+, one way. Well, that's more than the cost of a meal. As some luck would have it, I had an appt near 90th + Dodge, free travel. From there the ride was @ $6.00+. Mother loves fried chicken wings. The menu offered 5! She was in seventh heaven. Me too, when I spotted fried chicken livers. They melted in my mouth. I ordered the 14 oz cat fish + enjoyed it as though I'd caught it myself. We could not eat all we ordered but it was so-o-o good + look forward to going back. I must find out if they deliver. I will also add that it's a place that accepts children of all ages + my Margarita was very tasty as well. If you have yet to give Jack & Mary's a try, I'd recommend you do so, if for no other reason than to experience the friendly, accommodating staff.

It was not too busy. Only one waitress. Must of been close to shift change over. We put the pay ticket and money on end of table. She came and took the money didn't ask if there would be change back or say thank you. Then went to the bar area sat with 3 other ladies talking. My husband stop at door to get their attention to say thank you. Not too friendly we guess when getting really for shift change even if guest still there

The food was cold,old, & disgusting. My daughter's Mac & cheese had carrots in it (which were not supposed to be!) & Her grilled cheese wasn't even fully cooked! My chicken was so dry that it literally turned to dust! My husband's steak was cold & flavourless. The waitress was ditzy & kept making excuses to why the food was horrible. I will not be back!

This restaurant is impeccable and has the FRIENDLIEST STAFF. I can't even find enough words to describe the incredible, delicious and tasty food. Equally their service is focused on the customer and there happiness. Everything is reasonably priced and HOT out of the kitchen. If 11 Stars were available I wouldn't hesitate one moment to give them all 11 STARS !!!!!!!! Sandy, you were a delight, Thank you for your care and service you provided our party.

Absolutely HORRID food!!! Everything took way to long to get to the table, the server spilled my Dad's tea onto the table & floor...the salad bar is $7.99ish... Iceburg lettuce & 90% of the other salad bar veggies were from cans/boxes/ processed...the philly chicken-cheese steak my friend ordered tasted spoiled/bad, they were worried they were going to be sick

They have a large menu with chicken as the main item. Chicken can be had in many combinations and fried or grilled. Many side dishes, and they have several steak and seafood items. We 4 had the chicken and it was very good.

Pretty solid food. They're known for their fried chicken. I ended up ordering the chicken and waffles, which was really good. Their onion rings are great too, but you can get away with half an order easily.

Meh. This place has been giving Omaha the bird for 40 years but not exactly how they advertise. This food was below average at best. My kids fries were old and stale, and my chicken wrap was such a mess I could barely pick it up to eat it. For being famous for their chicken, it was nothing special. A local bar with a fryer could do just as good if not better. The only thing going for us was a great server who admitted that the salad bar wasn’t worth the price tag.

Jack and Mary's Chicken is a long time Omaha fixture. 30 years ago it was over in Old Mill, but it's current spot in Miracle Hills is a lot more convenient. The restaurant has a rustic/homey feel. The fried chicken is excellent, and the other comfort foods are tasty. They have a big salad bar, and someone mentioned homemade pies.

Our table and the 2 around us never got their food, because the the server forgot to plass our order. And when we talked to the manager, he said we were there for 20 minutes, when in reality we were there for an hour and 10 minutes. The manager even stuck up for the server and refused to believe what we were saying

Amazing chicken! The atmosphere could be updated a bit as it seems kind of outdated. My only suggestion would be to the owners to revamp the menu a bit with fresher ingredients. Other than that, this place is perfect for brunch, lunch and dinner. Chicken fried steak is superb!

Went for dinner for the first time. Ordered the shrimp alfredo. Very rich, a little too much garlic, however was still very delicious. We also ordered the salad bar and it was well stocked. Our meals came with bread. We had so much food.

Food was a joke! Steak was raw!!! No seasoning on it. Kids meal mac & cheese was old cold and had other food in it. Grill cheese wasn't even cooked all the way. Chicken tastes like Thanoes cooked it. It was so dry it tasted like dust. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! Should have an surprise inspector show up cause this place wouldn't pass!!!

My husband and I were both wanting comfort food for our Sunday dinner and both of our dinners (and dessert..shhh..) were excellent!! My husband had the chicken fried chicken and I had the meatloaf. We felt like we were visiting the south with the vibe, amazing food, and great service! We’ll be going again, soon!

Food was ok, just disappointed. Ordered the chicken fried steak meal and got a salad. Had a large piece of brown wilted and nasty lettuce and waitress just shrugged her shoulders and took it away. Went to put pepper on meal and pepper shaker was clogged up. Had to unscrew cap to get pepper for our meal. Told and showed waitress and she just swapped out our pepper shaker with another table. Didnt get offered refills on our drinks at all (water and s soda) Have seen multiple commercials for this restuarant and was a bit disappointed by the food and service.

This was our 1st visit & the employees were very friendly & provided outstanding service. I have to admit their meatloaf dinner is the best I have ever eaten in any restaurant (Just moved here from Henderson/Las Vegas, NV area) & the portions are large! My husband had their open face roast beef sandwich - again large serving & extremely delicious. I would highly recommend Jack and Mary’s Restaurant!!!

First time we have been there in many years.We use to eat there about once a week. The food is still really good and plenty of it. More than I could eat. Ordered take out and it was hot and ready when I got there. I would recommend them if you like chicken.

This was my first time ever dining here. My immediate thought is that I cant eat another bite. What a smorgasbord this place gives you. The service was friendly and attentive. The salad bar was clean and stocked. I like how I can go and make my own salad. The meals were overwhelming with large portions. My hamburger steak went great with the brown gravy. My GF barely touched her penne pasta due to being stuffed from the appetizers and salad bar. However her grilled shrimp were amazing! My only real complaint was the onion rings were a disappointment. They felt rubbery and tasted reheated. The waitress even offered to put them in the oven on broil to zap some life back into them for us. I will definitely skip those next time. I would recommend this place for anyone searching for a down home dining experience within the Omaha city limits.

Hands down favorite place to stop when I’m home! The Chicken Fried Chicken and country gravy are to die for although the menu has an awesome variety of options. I dream of CFC’s! Fresh salad bar and fresh homemade pies that are hard to pass up. Great location right off the Dodge street exit in Omaha. The family that owns this restaurant is awesome and all of the employees are very welcoming. Can’t wait to visit!

Highly disappointed. I heard rave reviews of this place and I found it horrible. I had a 3pc all white meat dinner with mac and cheese and green beans. Chicken was served cut like it was chopped up. Its like they cut up pieces to make it a 3pc. Very weird presentation.No flavor on the chicken but it was moist and crunchy. Mac and cheese cold we had to request it he reheated and still slightly warm. Dessert we asked for peach and blueberry pie. Both pies served very cold. I do not recommend this place at all.

Cannot review the food because we were turned away. But this deals primarily with how we were treated as we tried to have Fathers Day dinner there. Our party of 4 walked in at 6:20. The sign on the door said they were opened until 8pm. We were quickly and very rudely told we couldn't be seated. The woman said their "last seating" was 6:30 (?) and they were out of chicken. Never mind that it was before 6:30 and we saw open tables. My husband asked if we could order something besides chicken. Again she rudely responded that we'd have to wait at least an hour and they close at 7. If she had acted the least bit apologetic, I wouldn't be posting this review. But she really doesn't belong as the first impression of Jack and Mary's.

This restaurant was recommended to us. The beef stroganoff did not look or taste good. Looked like cold gravy but was hot. Sent it back and ordered meat loaf which wasn't much better. Potatoes were instant. Reuben was gristly and difficult to eat without cutting it. Baby carrots were overcooked. Garden salad was just bagged salad with dressing (honey mustard dressing cost extra). Table bread was just from a loaf. The whipped butter and beverages were good. Would not recommend .
