Great Mexican food! Some say the best in Omaha, I'd agree! I got the steak and chicken fajitas and devoured them! (It's alot, you should take some home, but I couldn't help myself). Cold Mexican lagers, hot chips and very good salsa!

The food is really good, and the service was excellent! Everything was hot and fresh tasting and was at our table very quick. Only issue is the annoyingly loud and stupid sounding family in the booth next to us. I mean I don't care about how your pool is bigger than the pool wherever you mentioned, and I don't care if you are rich. Shut the hell up!!

Just had dinner here and this has to be one of the worst Mexican restaurants in Omaha. The restruant was not busy at all and yet the service was subpar and our food was luke warm. We sat at the bar and received our food after another table who ordered ten minutes after us... and had more people. After my last refill of water there was black particles floating and it had a funny taste. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I had the Agave Salad and it was OK. The shrimp were cooked perfectly but were bland and the chicken was overcooked but tasted good. My fiancee had a chile relleno and enchilada and they were OK as well. As far as Mexican food goes, I was expecting more bold flavors and some spiciness. I was a little disappointed. Maybe it is a midwest thing, but the Mexican food I am used to is usually much more flavorful.

Tuesay Night around 8 pm Order: Neuvo Laredo, Chimichaga and Taco Salad. The place was slow, but I image because it is a hidden gem. First time into the restaurant and was looking for a good repeat Mexican place. We were not disappointed. Our server (bartender as we sat in the bar) was quite attentive and friendly. Drinks refilled before anyone found the need to ask for a refill. Food was out quick ad steaming hot. Side requests came almost instantly. Aside from not knowing the items myself, everything was great. A few changes to our orders and a few more questions on our part next time we go and I imagine everything will be perfect. Taco Salad contained carrots, something my wife does not like. I think I would prefer the nacho sauce on the Laredo versus what comes on it (the sauce that does come on it is good just prefer a cheese or chili sauce, personal preference). Recommend finding this hidden gem and trying the great food.

The food is great, but the service is lacking We waited 10 minutes after walking in before anyone acknowledged us. We were seated and the server came right away, took our drink orders and brought them to us. Then we were ignored for 15 min, which would have been fine if it was busy, but we were the only ones on the patio. When I showed our waiter our Groupon we wanted to use, he pointed out that it had just expired which is my oversight and I own that. But after I showed him on the Groupon that the amount we paid for it ($40)should still be valid, he brought the manager over who told us we would need to get our money back from Groupon because they never get their money. The service experience was cold and unpleasant.

Very good quality Tex-Mexican restaurant with great presentation and professional employees. Bring you out complementary chips and salsa, with white-queso to which most restaurants don’t for free. We ordered homemade guacamole which they have a cart and make it fresh in front of your table to your liking with fresh avocados that they peel. This homemade guacamole was delicious and went great with our chips and meal. I ordered taco salad, other people in group ordered enchiladas and quesadillas which were all great & presented well. Overall experience was great and service was on par too.

Edit: We ordered take out for the first time after they reopened. Food was awful and gave the wife terrible food poisoning. A coworker went over the weekend not knowing about our experience and said the kids wouldn't even eat their food. Said his tasted like dish soap. Used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant near us but done with that. Old review: Good food! Good drinks! Doesn't break the bank!

Had a really wonderful time here. The food was delicious, presented well, and served hot in a timely manner. The staff was courteous and Carlos our waiter was very attentive, courteous and quick. The restaurant was also very clean, the tables the floors and including the woodwork was super clean and zero dust. It's hard finding a restaurant where the staff take such care of the space and their customers. The price was very reasonable as well.

Stopped on on a whim! Amazing fresh natural high-end margaritas for affordable price. Make sure you sample the Roca Patron! Guacamole made at your table was the bomb! Had the chicken spinach enchiladas and it was packed with delish chicken and smothered in wonderful sauce. Excellent service! Vast menu options.

Went here for lunch around 1215 on a weekday. Food is good (nothing to write home about), they had about 9 tables including myself and 3 waiters and a host....service was very slow. They try to seat everyone clumped together even though there is space throughout the restaurant. I waited 5min for my drink order to be taken. I ordered a water and a bahama mama, it was very good but my food came before both my drinks so I sat with no drink for about 10 minutes. Over all I had an ok experience I will probably come back for another try but this did not make the list for my favorite mexican restaurant by any means.

We received coupons in the mail for buy one entree get one free. We have been there many times before, sometimes very good sometimes so so. It happened to be during their daily drink specials, which is what we normally drink. Before we could get an order in the waitress informed us we could not get the drink specials and use the coupon for the meals. Now I hate to say it but we usually order 2 to 3 rounds and the drink specials would have expired. Well we chose to just get up and go to Hectors, where we had a Wonderful Pitcher of Margaritas and a great meal. Thanks Agave Azteca for baiting us this final and last time. You were best before the Omaha World Hearld did the review on your restaurant.

We were disappointed tonight. The food was not up to par and not really that hot as in heat. The hostess acted like she didn't know what was going on. Lackluster waiter. He delivered our check, and didn't even ask if we wanted dessert-we did-but we didn't buy one. I remember when they first opened and they seemed like such a classy restaurant--no mas.

Went to the reopened location at 132nd and Dodge. They changed the format where you have to order from the bar with the menu pasted on the wall. I really don't like that format at all. Too close to a fast food type of service. The price of the menu items warrants table ordering by a server like before. Had to fill our own drinks and walk over a sticky floor by the pop machine. Probably wouldn't be that way if servers brought drink orders to the table. While the food was good, we miss what it was like before when you were seated and a server took your order. Not sure if their LaVista location changed to this format or not. But I guess we will return to La Mesa where the food and prices are comparable but receive better service when dining out.

Friendly staff. Orders don't come out right all the time, but they correct it once you bring it up. It just might take a while to get it. It takes about a half hour for food to come out usually, so don't plan on getting out of there quickly.

I contacted a local Bellevue hamburger joint twice and asked for a return call from management and they’ve ignored me so far. Not impressive but I go back because the burgers and fries are good.

We were in West O and wanted some Margarita Monday Margaritas. We kew Agave Azteca in Ralston and had been there for Happy Hour Margs and happy hour food and a great carnitas entree. So my wife called to be sure the West O location had the same and they said “Yes happy hour food specials from 2-6 and 2.99 margaritas all day Mondays”. So we arrived and order two Marg Monday margaritas and when they arrived we wanted to order some happy hour food, queso and stuffed jalapenos. “Oh sorry sir, if you order Monday margaritas you cant order from the Happy Hour food menu!!” What?! I was sure our waiter was confused but he insisted if we ordered happy hour food we could not get the Marg Monday margaritas! So we left. Went to Fernandos and had a great experience.

We drove 150 miles to try this out, and it was the best Mexican Food in Omaha. I have ate Mexican Food from Mexico and all over the United States and this is by far the best Mexican Food. The table side guacamole was to die for, and the deserts were fantastic. Well worth the money and they have the friendliest staff. Wonderful atmosphere and The prettiest authentic Mexican decor.

wish I could put zero for this place as far as how management treats people. I called to see if they take reservations and the manager said no and hung up on me while I was in the middle of asking another question. When I called back and told him that I was still talking and had some questions and that it was rude of him to hang up on me he started to chew me out for calling back and he did not need to put up with my questions. ABSOLUTELY THE MOST RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER I HAVE EVER DELT WITH.

Went here for lunch for my first time. The chips and salsa were not that good, left a bad aftertaste. Got the Seafood Quesadilla. I ate half because I was hungry but it just was not something that should be served at any reputable restaurant even for a good price. Frozen and/or old shrimp, fake crabmeat, just hidden by heaps of cheese. Maybe they have better items but just take that off the menu. If I find myself there for any reason I will just stick to getting a drink. Edit: Maybe your other customers have lower expectations. That's fine for them, but old frozen shrimp has an unmistakable texture to anyone looking for higher quality.

My daughter and I went to Agave last night for the first time. The restaurant was a very clean and comfortable environment. The service was just OK, but the food was great...the little bit we ate that is. We ended up waiting for our food for over an hour and a half, and people who came in after us appeared to recieve faster service than we did. By the time we received our food, we were so ready to leave that we only tasted it and then boxed the rest up and paid the check. I'm not sure if I'll go back to this restaurant.

I've come here several times for my lunch. To be honest the portions sizes for lunch items are small, but the food is excellent! Their rice and beans are some of the best I've had. The food has great flavor, and they are very generous giving free chips and salsa even for a to-go lunch order. Best of all is their white cheese sauce.

If could I would review this restaurant with 0 stars, the reason for it is that this restaurant has no ethics and no respect for the customers. My wife took a trip to this place alone because she want some Mexican food and I was unable to go with her due to work so she went in alone, we had heard amazing things about this place. But it end it up being a horrible experience for my wife she said there was a sever/manager his name is Roberto that kept harassing her at first she thought it was extremely good service but it turn out to be that this man was actually hitting on her he insinuating him self to her also calling her gorgeous and even writing her a note with his phone number in it. My wife politely refuse and she paid for what ever she consumed and left this was a horrific experience for her, guy's if you decide to go to this place keep a look out for you woman because things like this are unacceptable, we decided not to take action towards the restaurant because maybe is just that guy. But I call management to take action about this as far as my wife and I we won't get near this place ever again.

This was the first time I've been here, and it exceeded my expectations. They have lunch specials between 11-3 M-F and $3 margaritas which were absolutely phenomenal - I could come here just for the margaritas. The portions are huge, so you get what you pay for. I had the Chipotle chicken burrito which had cheese and mango salsa on it which was decent, and their chips and dip/salsa was the best part. Whatever they use for their white sauce was incredible, I couldn't quite figure out what it was. We ordered some guac for the table and someone came out with a cart and made some fresh for us, it was delicious - would definitely recommend the guac. You can ask for it to be spicy as well.

The food can be either really good...or bad. Service is hit & miss. Guacamole tableside is great. The atmosphere is very pretty. We tip good & don't appreciate tip jars on the cart although I have always tipped. The staff needs to tip the tableside guy out. I'm not digging in my wallet during dinner anymore. LOL

WOW! omg. I was expecting it to be good, but I wasn't expecting it to be as amazing as it was! Definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town!! Can't wait to go back! The atmosphere and decorations inside are beautiful too! Esp, the paintings, they were awesome! The way they presented the food was beautiful too. Usually it's just a spoon full of rice and beans slapped on the plate, but they take the time to make the plate look beautiful! The service was super fast, but I think we were one of the only tables in there at the time, so maybe that's why, haven't been when it's been busy. Our waiter couldn't remember who had what drink, he kept having to ask when we got refills, that cracked us up since he only had two tables, but he was very polite, along with the rest of the staff; they really worked as a team there, removing our plates as needed, etc... Also, I saw a comment about it being expensive, it is no more expensive than any other Mexican restaurant in town, and is way less expensive than a lot of other types of restaurants in town as well, and I'd say this is even a little more high end than the other Mexican restaurants in town. Very happy we finally decided to give this place a try!! Like I said, can't wait to go back!

The food was so good!! There was attentiveness to plating and each plate that came out of the kitchen looked so fresh! I had the seafood enchiladas and they were perfect! Our server Roberto was very attentive and the food was pretty quick! Loved the atmosphere and the decor! We will definitely be back

I was very disappointed with the food and service here. From the beginning when we arrived the staff acted more like we were an inconvenience interrupting there social gathering. I ordered a Chori Burrito which is listed on the menu as covered in cheeses sauce. There cheese sauce turned out to be Velveeta cheese. Now, I love Velveeta mixed with some Rotel and on a corn chip during a super bowl party. But in a mexican restaurant I expect to get real cheese on top of a burrito. The Velveeta cheese imitation ruined what was at best a sub par burrito any way. Maybe if you prefer tex-mex the place is for you but there are plenty of tex-mex places where 4 people can eat for less then $65. I know on my way back home from Omaha I was thrilled to stop at Caso Ramos in Emporia and get a plateful of real mexican food and the bill was less then tex-mex Agave Azteca

Food was mediocre. Taco salad with no salsa or dressing? Very blah. Staff was rude and annoyed that we had a Groupon deal. Waiter yelled across the restaurant for the manager to come and process the Groupon. Waste of a date night with the hubby. Did I mention how rude the staff was?

Authentic Mexican cuisine! The food was absolutely delicious and the margarita's strong. Prices were a little high, but for an excellent meal, you get what you pay for. The waiter even said "gracias amigos" as we were walking out. Totally hit the spot! Also noticed the place has great weekday Happy Hour specials.

My wife and I went to Agave Azteca (West Omaha location) for the first time tonight. We got the Taquitos for an appetizer, and the Burrito Mexican and Enchilada Mexican. All of the dishes were very tasty and the service was prompt. We will definitely be going back!
