My sons and I stopped by here for a quick lunch while visiting Springfield and was very impressed. From the outside, it doesn’t look like very much, but on the inside, the food is authentic and obviously made from scratch (aka: delicious), while the service is genuine and helpful in every way. Would definitely recommend! This place is one of my favorites. From location to the food to the staff, everything is great. Only thing I've eaten that I didn't love was the pizza. Everything else is delicious.

Nice little Italian style restaurant hidden in a residential neighborhood. This was the least expensive Italian restaurant I've ever been to (under $30 for 2, including tip) and the food was good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I think a few improvements could turn this good restaurant into a great one. Note: There is limited parking and no hostess.

We got their Brushetta for an appetizer and the tomato sauce was my favorite out of the places in town. Despite being a bit busy we got our food quickly and our waitress was very friendly and polite. We really like this place. Right by campus so it has my heart but we have been coming here for years and the service and food have declined. Waiting on your server is lengthy, so its not a quick bite. Food is delicious but the last few times it has been so-so. Service is okay, they are nice but young, if you ask a server that isn't yours most likely they will go find your server rather than just get your refill. But give it a shot, its quaint and interesting to be look at as you eat.

Very disappointed...had salad and appetizer before I was able to retrieve silverware. Was rudely told that it 10-15 minutes for silverware to be washed and rolled. Also the atmosphere may be okay on a warm day but otherwise leave your coat on. Go elsewhere for a nice evening meal

Very disappointed by my most recent visit. Took a friend from out of town to Bambinos. When we arrived there were 4 tables, 2 inside and 2 outside. We were greeted immediately and seated by a friendly waitress. As we were being seated, 1 table had finished their meal and got up and left. We continued to sit at the table while a second waitress cleared the table from the previous guest located next to us. A third waitress checked on the table behind us. Yet, no one could ever acknowledge us or take our drink orders. After about 20 minutes of being ignored, we got up and left.

Kind staff, veg and vegan options, dog friendly. I'd say my dog enjoys Bambinos just as much as I do, possibly more. If you've got 4 legs and a tail, you can order ear scratches and belly rubs. Food is on the simpler side and mighty tasty. Portions are generous and bread is made in house.

Myself and a co-worker found this place on our way from the airport and what a treat! As you walk up to the front door you can smell the delicious aroma of the food which makes your mouth water instantly. I had the Gorgonzola tortellini, the sauce was smooth with the right flavor notes, and the pasta cooked to perfection. It was the best meal of our whole business trip! I hope to visit again one day!

Some of the best American Italian food in Springfield. Good paninis and salads. The pasta is good and large servings. The Ziti comes with chunks of roast beef braised in red wine and the pasta is baked with cheese on top. It is very good and with a side salad and bread you have enough to take home for another meal. The dinner menu does not have the sandwiches. The crab cakes are nearly all potato bread. I'm not sure if there was any crab in it. That's my only complaint. Dog friendly if you sit on the porch but someone has to go in and let them know your there while you wait with your dog. When college is in session it can get very crowded. Especially when their parents come to town. This has been a hidden gem for many decades. Parking is very hard. Don't bring the truck or van. Not the ideal place for young kids but bring the older ones.

You ruined Mother’s Day dinner and your remarks expressed you didn’t care! We used Grub Hub to order from you because we have a small kid. What I consider a great mother’s day dinner was your food with my family at home. Unfortunately, Bambino’s didn’t make my entree which was only one of two. We paid a $9 delivery fee for Grub Hub and when they delivered our food we opened it to find no food for me. My husband was distraught because he tried to do good and have a special meal. He called and your employee remarked “well we forgot to send it. If you want it, you can come get it”. There was no apology. We opted not to drive across town and requested a refund. We are hoping we actually get the $13 back for the missing food. At this point, we have still been charged for it. We will be watching to see if there is a refund. It stinks that Bambino’s quality and customer service was so poor.

we enjoyed our meal at Bambino's. The atmosphere was nice it's casual with outside seating that's really good in the summer and spring. All of our group had different things to eat everybody enjoyed there's the only reason I didn't give it a five-star is because the salads that my husband and I ordered that had be house Italian dressing basically had no dressing on it at all we could not even taste of vinegar or anything. We were going to ask for some more or something to put on it the salad but the waitress was really busy and we just decided to eat it plain we would give it another try

We love this place. Have been going there for years. We even ate there last night and had a great meal. Tonight was a beautiful night so we stopped in 45 minutes before closing and just wanted to have a drink on the patio. We were told they were closing that section to clean even though there were several people still dining out there. Very disappointing!☹️

Little hideaway. Very small parking lot. Tucked into a small neighborhood. Shaved garlic for you bread is wonderful. Pour some olive oil on it, ask for some ital seasonings for the plate. Food is perfect. Plates are big. Prices are more than fair. Some little things keep it from getting 5 stars. Bread is served cold. No wine list. Etc. Atmosphere on the patio is good. Music isn't too loud. Quaint place.

Truly a Springfield classic! Charming little neighborhood restaurant. Unlike so many restaurants in Springfield with outdoor seating facing busy streets, this one offers a quiet setting. Prices are low. Service is fast, attentive, but not intrusive. Bread is served when you’re waiting for your meal. I usually get the Greek pasta. I love this place!

Service was friendly and our waitress was very attentive. She offered us bread with garlic for starters. I went with a sweet tea to drink and it was refreshing with just a touch of sweetness. I went with the vegan option, The Sorella. It was filled with fresh vegetables and was pretty good. It's great for a light meal, since the lunch portion is relatively small and does come with a soup or salad.

Unfortunately this’s the worst Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The bruschetta looks like pace chunky salsa with toasted bread. My dish really didn’t have much taste to it. The best thing there was the salad and the nice waitress. I had high hopes given the amount of good reviews. I was really surprised by how bad the food was. I wanted to like this place, but I could taste that the food was either canned and/ or frozen which is totally contradictory of what Italian food is supposed to be.

The first thing people notice about this place is it's in the middle of a neighborhood with no other restaurants or stores around it. Despite this, there's a good amount of space for people here. From what I saw, there are two rooms inside for dining and a medium-sized outdoor eating area. My mom ordered a side salad with the house dressing, and I tried some. The dressing was good, but there was very little of it and when you have a field greens salad, you have to provide enough dressing that the greens don't overpower it. The salad needed more dressing. My dad got a pizza with pepperoni and onions and thought it was okay, but he wanted it to be cooked a tad more (it wasn't undercooked, but it was barely crispy) so it is crispier. I had the crab cakes and angel hair combo, and I loved the pasta, but the crab cakes were lacking and left a weird aftertaste. In hindsight, an Italian restaurant is probably not the place to get crab cakes. My mom got "The Greek"-- penne pasta with olives and a light sauce, and really liked it. She wasn't a fan of the chicken in it, but that's mostly a personal preference of hers. Bambinos offers smaller and regular portions of their pasta dishes, which is a nice feature to have if you're like me and can never finish a meal of pasta. The homemade lemonade was good, definitely not the best or worst that I've had. I bet we'll be coming back, and I'll have the spaghetti next time.

My Greek pasta had no feta, no herbs, two small tomatoes and almost flavorless. The waitress let everyone else that came in after us be served first and even at the end would not give us our check. Another employee apologized and brought our check to the table so we could leave. Husband also was not impressed with his food. I have to admit the bruschetta appetizer was delicious and more than enough for all of us. We have been to the other Bambino’s with outstanding results.

We were visiting from out of state and read a review on this place. It was perfect place for a great meal...warm ,friendly , with quick service. Homemade pasta dishes and daily specials. Very very affordable and the serving size is more than enough. You can get full or half portions. I had the daily special of chicken with penne pasta in a creamy tomato sauce. My son ordered penne with sausage and mushrooms in a red sauce. Both were excellent. We were seated, ordered, finished eating, and paid the bill with in an hour. We left full at 20$ total for meals and drinks.

Truly a diamond in the rough. Was in town on business and decided to visit based on reviews. A little sketchy on arrival, older building in need of maintenance. Interior is aged, but really does add character. Very simple menu, but the food was very good. The bruschetta was fantastic, and the pasta was great. Service was pleasant. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because of the appearance, we almost didn't stop, but very glad we did. This will definitely be a regular visit.

I really wanted to like this place. I have been there 4 times because I wanted to like it. The food is blah. The environment is nice and the art is spectacular, but the pasta has been overcooked and the sauces do not taste like authentic Italian. More like canned sauce. My family and I visit Springfield often but we won't be visiting the restaurant anymore.

I was just looking at this place on street view from far far away and reminiscing on the addition I built on the west/left side of the building there. I couldn't help but recall that the owner did not pay me for the work my cousin and I did on the framing, roof, and cheap T/111 siding she put on it. It's a good thing she added the outdoor smoking section because everyone will be rushing outside to smoke a cigarette to get the taste of the food out of their mouth.

The bread they bring out before the meal is good with the oil and garlic. Just don't eat it if you have an interview later, because the garlic is actually raw!

I have never had a meal here that I didn't like. This was my favorite college discovery years ago. Between classes when I didn't have enough time to go home but too much time to kill, I'd pop over to their patio usually for a pizza and/or an afternoon beer. Since graduating years ago, I still like to visit but often with a to-go order of pasta because the restaurant is regularly busy.

Same experience as most the time. Food is pretty good. Service is always horrible. Visited on a Tuesday evening, very light crowd. We waited 25 min to get a salad, and when food finally came, looked like it sat under a heat lamp for 20 min. Drinks sat empty long periods of time. If they can get service figured out, I might recommend this place.
