Visiting Whitehall, MI and wasn't sure where to go to eat so a family member suggested Pekadill's. We were not disappointed. This quaint, deli style restaurant is a little off the beaten path but not hard to find at all. The service was very friendly and fast. The food was excellent and the "backyard" is a beautiful place to eat (weather permitting). There are tables on the inside as well, they even clean up after you're through. Stick around for ice cream after you're done with lunch/dinner.

Dont miss lunch at this little gem! Be sure to check out the outdoor garden seating in back. It is not evident and you need to know it is there. This is a cafeteria style restaurant. I haven't found anything I didn't like.

Catering We have been eating at Pekadills for many years and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. So it was a no brainier to have them cater our event for 140 people with the chicken and ribs cookout... Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. They did not grill on site as they had promised. The chicken was extremely overdone, bordering inedible. I did send an email letting them know after our event.... crickets... Cannot recommend them for catering.

We stopped by here on a whim after visiting the local lighthouse museum. We googled "sandwiches" and this was the first place that came up near by. It was a really nice stop. The front is in a vintage style. I had the Roast Beef and my boyfriend had the French dip sandwich. Both were good solid sandwiches, filling with soft bread. My boyfriend got the macaroni salad as a side and I just got a bag of chips. I wish I would have gotten a homemade salad or at least the hot apple slices. The sides were very small, coming in a salad dressing cup but that was fine since the sandwiches were filling. We decided to treat ourselves to ice cream and we each got a single scoop. It was the largest scoop of ice cream I have ever seen. So you get the bang for your buck on the ice cream, but I'm not sure a child or most adults could handle one on their own. The ice cream is a better sharing dessert.

Had there ribs and chicken and they were cooked to perfection. A little pricey for the portion size but I will be back again to try other stuff. Staff was amazing and made sure our dishes were picked up as we finished our meals. The staff is very friendly as well. Next time I will need to try there ice cream as well. Parking can be a challenge when there is a funeral next door, but it is still worth the walk. Highly recommend eating here before most other places in the Whitehall area.

Whitehall is a small town, and Pekadill's is a small-town sandwich shop and ice cream parlour. It is so typical and descriptive of its environment, you must stop here when you visit Whitehall, even if just for an ice cream cone ... or take time for a homemade sandwich in their lovely garden patio.

Best sandwiches in town. Bar none. Try the Seuben, French dip, or whatever your heart desires! I've had several different sandwiches here and they were all perfect and massive. Soups are great too. Food is served quickly, surprisingly so for how delicious the sandwiches are. Service is generally on point, the mainstays are always great and happy to serve the best lunches in Whitehall.

I asked for no mayonnaise on my sandwich which was a chicken salad sandwich yet there was still mayonnaise on it. The chicken salad itself as doused in mayonnaise and with the added mayo that i had requested not be added, the sandwich may as well have not even had chicken on it. The chicken was just a vehicle dor gobs of mayo. Other than that, the servers were friendly enough and the location was beautiful(well kept lively garden with small ponds and happy people).

We got there just before they closed and we're so happy we made it, it did not disappoint! The staff were super nice and helpful. We had a turkey club wrap, a hot ham and cheese, Broccoli cheese soup, butternut squash bisque, potato salad, and coleslaw and every bit of of it was delicious and fresh.

If you're in Whitehall, and looking for some fast friendly service and Excellent food; come here! Tucked away just a short walk from downtown Whitehall, this place is a gem. 5 out of 5 across the board. Very clean kitchen and the ingredients were top notch. I enjoyed one of their sandwiches while my co-worker had a wrap. Both looked great and tasted accordingly. The owner, John, personally came by and asked us how the food and service was. Overall, very impressed by this location and look forward to coming back in the summer when they have bbq and ice cream specials.

This local icon continues on my list of places to visit with guests when giving a 'scenic tour' of the area between Muskegon and Ludington. The building itself and the lovely garden are just wonderful. Pekadill's also has indoor seating and free wifi. They offer a wide variety of soup/ sandwich items with daily specials as well as icecream. And coffee :) Very friendly and efficient service. (I've never been for breakfast, so I can't speak to that.) All in all between a four and five. Dog dish in the garden & access to our dog makes it a five *****

My favorite place to go in the Whitehall and Montague area. Great for families and a quiet lunch. The sandwiches are expertly crafted though my personal favorite is the soup. I recommend the Cheesy Potato Soup. The atmosphere is very comforting and relaxed. The inside is an old fashioned diner and in the back is an outdoor seating area with beautiful scenery, flowers, and family play area. The ice cream is delicious and you get quite a lot for the price. My only unusual experience is when I was given the wrong soups but the staff remedied the problem quickly and were very apologetic. They even gave me a complimentary bowl of my favorite soup. I definitely recommend a visit.
