Really disappointed with food and customer service. Ordered paneer biryani and hakka noddles. Biryani seems to be leftover plain rice microwaved and added pieces of paneer, not fresh and very disappointing taste. Hakka noddles were tasteless, hardly found vegetables in it, no sauce... Service was bad, no water, no spoons or fork.... Food is not worth of price they ask for. Would not recommend. Not sure about buffet, will try once and update my comment regarding it.

I've only come for the buffet but have really enjoyed the flavors and unique dishes. They always have like 10 dishes out go to try most I've never had before. I felt very heavy after eating there a couple times and when I asked them what oil they used they said corn oil which is a huge turn off as traditional Krishna food is made with dairy. The food is greasy but delicious, next time I will focus on filling up on the less oily dishes. Still a great choice for a hungry vegan or vegetarian. Chai tea is terrible but free.

The service here is so bad. Walked in and a bunch of aunties just chilling and messing with their hair. The lady took forever to take our dine in order. We just stood there and had to ask if we pay now or later and had to seat ourselves. They missed an order and we had to tell them twice about it. Got it when we were leaving. Food was alright but you can get better nearby. If you absolutely need Indian food between 3pm and 5pm order carryout. Otherwise go somewhere else.

I'm sorry, but the food is awful. I've eaten at a LOT of Indian places, because I love the cuisine. I have to say this place is the worst I've had. I got paneer tika and it tasted weird and didn't have much true Indian flavor. They don't have naan- the bread you can get is somewhere between a pita and a tortilla and flavorless. The masala tea was ok. Service was quick, but I'd definitely not eat there again considering the taste (or lack thereof) of the food.

The worst customer service. For buffet they didn’t even have plates... we waited for 10 mins and then asked again... they forgot to put plates... under staffed... most of times they forget to give placed orders... this has happened with me for multiple times... they don’t even clean tables... once I placed order and they completely forgot about it... for buffet you have to wait for rotisserie for about 15 minutes

First time we came here we got chole baturre. It was fantastic. Next time chole was good. Baturre look awful. Today chole too salty and baturre look horrible. I also got Buffett. Expectations were high, but not met. Rice and butter paneer only good thing. Pasta looks awful, very sticky. Roti.and samosa cold. It's not worth my 45 minute drive to the restaurant.

Went on weekday for lunch buffet, was impressed with the quality of food, lots of variety, and a nice tawa roti. Nice ambience. The one thing i wish that could be better was the service..pretty slow, even it took us 10 min to pay for our food. But guyz should try out.

Best indian homestyle lunch buffet. Especially on Wednesday! The food is close to authentic Gujarati style. So it is vegetarian and tasty.they make fresh rotis during buffet with ghee...yummm! The vegetables had good taste and flavor. All in all a great choice

This place is a hit and miss. Buffet is decent and now they charge $8.50 (lunch) and there are some decent choices. Their chapathis are the best albeit expensive. One thing is that this place REALLY NEEDS TO INVEST SOME MONEY AND CLEAN UP THE BATHROOM, THE FLOORS IN THE RESTAURANT AND GENERALLY ALL OVER! They have been around for a very long time, they make enough money with the catering business etc. but the place is not clean at all. It turns me off when I have to sit in a dirty area and eat. If you got unlucky and sat near the bathroom, it's even worse! THEY CREATE A BAD IMPRESSION THAT ALL INDIANS ARE FILTHY LIKE THIS. I support this family run restaurant, they do charity work etc. I have heard but cleanliness is Godliness. Please do something about the cleanliness all over! Not sure how they haven't been cited by health inspectors. To be fair, I have never been sick after eating here, the food itself is OK.

Had a Worst experience today! Service is bad and so is food. The guy who took order at front desk is running back and forth doing multiple things. Ordered biryani, combos, batura and thali. After 30mins first dish came out of kitchen followed by other dishes at approx 15mins for each. Spent 3 hours dine in for most pathetic food of my life. Poor service. Poor management. Not knowing the quality, we have ordered take out of roti , paneer tikka and korma. After 5 hrs approx, opened paneer tikka at home for dinner with anxiety. It's full of food color with wierd taste. I've never eaten paneer tikka of this kind. Most awful experience overall. Spent 75$ And Never going back again. Total disappointment.

Horrible service and the food tastes old and stale. I waited 30 min for my food before complaining. When I told them it was taking a long time, they told me it hasn't! She then looked at her ticket and realized she was wrong, and acknlacknowl that it actually was 30 min, but they'd have it ready in 10-15 min more. We almost just left right there but decided to give it 10 min. Magically all the food started to appear in the next 10 min. We were the only people there... It's ridiculous to take 30 min for iddly sambar and dosas. Once we got the food it tasted really old. If you want good Indian food check out turmerican, or india flavors.

Food preparation is good. In seasonal specialties do try "gulkand kulfi" it's simply out of this world! Service is also good, though the wait time can be long during late hours, the staff members are hard working.

Their lunch buffet is the best of all their offerings in my opinion. It's a pure vegetarian place, who also serve non-buffet items, and also chaat items in the evenings. They also have a variety of sweets which can be bought in small quantities or through bulk orders.

I ordered a tea here..it looked like they added garam masala in it.it tasted like curry..that's not how a tea is made..back in India we add just some cardamons(elaichi) and ginger in winters... I asked another one then.. The took about 20 mins to make that ...which was ok kind..not amazing.

A friend of mine was looking for a Indian spice and I found Patel Market in Garden city, right next door to this unique amazing eating spot. I checked both there website and Facebook page to find on Tuesday the lunch buffet is only $ 5.99 so I planned our trip to find a hopping place filled with dozens of choice that's constantly filled with fresh yummy foods that I have no idea any of the names. Everything I tried was very good along with the place packed with true Indian folks filling the belly. We will be going back soon since the friendly delicious food are a bargain and I really want to explore much more, along with learning the names of the dishes. Voted one of the top Vegetarian spots in Metro Detroit that keeps it real. At one point I counted 34 people lined at the buffet you circle around. Nothing fancy on the interior or the eating utensils,, plastic and styrofoam plates, just real deal food that some was a wee bit on the hotter side,, so watch out try little amounts of everything and the come back to load that plate. Every other day of the week buffet is still a bargain at only $ 7.99. For a new fun Foodie adventure this place is a must try. ENJOY

The one and only pro is " their food is top notch". We love it. Cons: 1. Service is pathetic 2. They just refill 2 rotis/flatbreads at a time during the busy buffet hours. 3. Most of the trays will be empty if you go for lunch at 1:30pm. They take 20 mins to refill a tray. 4. There is only one person cooking in the kitchen and 1 person serving food for 20+ people at a time :( Even though I love their food, I would hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. As the name mentions.., may be they are more into catering and less into restaurant!! Why did they open a restaurant in the first place then?

This is probably the best vegetarian restaurant in the Detroit area with home cooked delicious dishes and great service. I would love to give it 5 stars if they consistently served some fried appetizers such as vada, aloo tika, or pakoras at their lunch buffets. Please don't get me wrong, they do serve appetizers such as pau bhaji/chat/pakodas. I eat there every week and will continue to do so.

Krishna Catering served for our daughter's wedding and reception. They did such a good job we are very happy. Kishanbhai, the owner, was very flexible and allowed us to change the menus until almost the last day. The food was delicious and the individual items tasted the way we had requested. The food was more than enough, did not run out of any of the items on menus. The food was served in a timely manner.

We visited the restaurant on a Friday evening at 4 pm as a family. We had ordered some chaat dishes, Upma, Chinese noodles and Chola bature. The chaat dishes were good and came in reasonably quickly. The Chinese noodles was much spicier than we would have liked and I don’t know where the communication gap with the person who took the order. The chola bature was good though oily. The Upma was a disaster, it came 25 to 30 minutes after we ordered and I had to remind them of the order. Being a south Indian, we are used to good Upma dishes and this was a big disappointment. The coconut chutney was bland and seemed atleast 24 hours old in taste. We could have avoided ordering the Upma. Please avoid the upma when you visit krishna.

We took a to-go parcel from Krishna on a sunday afternoon. Honestly i love their Dabeli and dahi poori. I tried their chinese noodles and paneer tikka sandwich which didnt really hit my taste buds.I was expecting more spicy noodle but they are good if you prefer home like noodles. I will not recommened paneer tikka sandwich. It has really weird taste. Tomatoes do not go with the paneer tikka taste thats needed in a sandwich.

Did not like food at new location. Seems to have not setup properly at new location. We ordered Masala Dosas yesterday. They were under cooked (still completely white batter color instead or browned out), and too oily. If food is not ready to be served, they should keep it off menu. Upon letting the lady behind the counter know of the problem, she just nodded absently and moved on to other things. Even the manchurian was very mediocre, too oily and not enough batter to cover the cauliflower, hence it soaks up more oil. I have eaten at their previous location in garden city, and never had a complain about their food. They need to get their act together in quick order, or will lose customers.

Trip #1. Ordered take out, menu did not list onion as an ingredient for several items. They put onion in my food so I threw it directly in the garbage. It is not necessary to even use onion and garlic at all. Trip#2 Gave them another chance. Ordered 2 nan, masala chai, those items were not even given to me but was charged. Also ordered dosa with no onion in it, no surprise ...onion was in it, threw it directly into the garbage. Only edible items, a single Roti and a medium Gujaraithi dal. Trip #2 cost $23+. There will be no 3rd chance.

This restaurant has been around for more than 15 years but they have not improved a bit. Their food is stale, quantity less, quality poor and prices high. We had a very disappointing experience today, Sunday May 5th around noon, with them when we went their to eat a quick snack after grocery shopping at Patel Brothers next door. Their Aloo Tikki was smelling foul and was very hard, Dhokla looked more than a week old and the place not looking very clean. On complaint to the expressionless owner, he had no answer. I told him if anyone in the family gets sick today, I will file a formal complaint. Please avoid this place.
