The BBQ is very good so there's usually a wait around dinner time. The service is on par with any busy restaurant. The servers are friendly but extremely busy so try to be mindful of that when ordering, especially if you are in a large group. It's a BBQ joint so unelss you're vegan, there's something for everyone on the menu. The meal is worth the money.

Wow. I just had the Brad's BBQ Burger. It was literally one of the best burgers that I've ever had. Absolutely delicious combination of flavors! If you are a classic BBQ fan, you should treat yourself to one.

Great food. Waitress was newer but not one complaint. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Blueberry basil mule was very good. Recommend this place especially if you have never been. Ask for the spicier sauce and sweet mustard if not offered, very tasty.

It's a Texas/southern style bbq joint. They have the usual 4 sauces. Three are mixed to make a spicy sauce that tastes better than the other three individually. Favorite restaurant for BBQ! Always order the brisket, tender and flavorful. They have 4 sauces to choose from. My favorite is the house blend 321. Servers are always nice.

This place was amazing! Just went for dinner. There were 2 of us and we ordered the pig candy (which was the most amazing bacon I've ever had) and also we shared the 'you pick 3 meats and 2 sides'. The brisket and pork sausage was really good. The turkey was good but nothing special. Overall, fast service and delicious food, just wish there was a location closer to where we lived.

Great food as always but the young wait staff isn't very attentive. Been here over 6 times and there has always been room for improvement. For example, I went in today and there was nobody at the entrance to greet you. Instead, there were four kids talking around the corner, where the patio entrance is. Not a big deal but this happens almost every time I come here and for the somewhat premium price, this is my only complaint/opportunity for improvement.

I was shocked by prices and up charges for brisket meals. Costs are increasing every where but I found it excessive to stop in here for two meals, two beers and some chicken wings was 80 bucks with tip. The meals where excellent. The chicken wings where laughable. 6 and 2 if them by weight where extreamly small. It was good but not worth the cost. There are better places given the cost. Service was meahhhhhh. Young kid...

They messed up my order by putting extra meat on my nacho they put chicken on my pork nacho so it had both. They didn’t tell me they charged me extra for the mistake until I called them out on it, then the manger told me I ordered my food wrong. I haven’t come back to this place since they had a major fruit fly issue, so bad that I had to fish one out of my beer! Can’t say I’ll ever be back again.

One of the better, possibly best BBQ places in Oakland County. The meat is high quality, it is prepared right and they are pretty fast. The place was full, so service wasn’t as fast as usual this time but over all they do it right. Never too much of a wait, yet they always have a full parking lot. $18.96+tip for two to eat. Decent value as well. We took home left overs.

Can I give this 6 stars?? This place is phenomenal. Let's start with the pork candy which is smoked bacon with caramelized sugar. It's like pure heaven! The smoked wings are also fantastic. All of the meat was superb. I'm a pulled pork guy, but the brisket was also killer. The sides we're all great as well. It's not cheap. BBQ places never are. But the food is outstanding and it's definitely worth the price. I can't wait to go back. Highest recommendation.

Okay, I would have never said, "Go to Michigan if you want good barbeque." That is until I went to Bad Brad's! Jeez their food is incredible! The wait staff is great. The portions are more than plenty. If you go, make sure you get the "Pig Candy." Trust me; you will wonder how your life was complete before having it. Overall, great place to eat. The food is really great. The pictures are of the sculptures out front, which are also very cool!

8/7/19 - 6-7pm. Treated my friend to birthday dinner. Our young waiter (?name) was patient, kind, accurate & helpful. If I were rating only his service, I would have given 5 stars. My biggest dissatisfaction at Bad Brads Lk Orion is the width of the booths. 42 inches is a pretty good guess of the width of their smaller booths. You cannot relax and talk to the person sitting across from you. We had to lean in to hear and be heard. We could have sat at a table, but have always prefered the comfort of a booth seat. The quantities were great, the sides very good. The meats were a bit dry, and the ribs had little meat on them.

Ribs are delicious! First time here as I'm not from the area, but had a great experience! They have a huge outdoor patio for eating, which we used to enjoy a beer while waiting for our table but they have a great set up. Our server was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was priced right, but the beers were a bit on the higher side for your average beer menu. You must try the candy bacon, it's unlike something I've ever had! The spicy BBQ sauce is where it's at! Would definitely come back when I'm in town again.

If you want great BBQ, look no further! Food was awesome and the sweet mustard sauce is boss. They also have a bad brad beer which was good as well. Only reason for 4 stars was toward service. Maybe they where short staffed or it really was that busy. I still tipped 20% because staff was very polite and food was great just wish my server checked up on us more.

Food and service were both good. Burnt Ends were great, however the corn tortillas overpowered the meat flavor though so I skipped them and enjoyed the meat as is and how it is supposed to be eaten anyhow. The chicken and waffles were a unique spin and very good however a little too much syrup. Chicken nachos we're good as well.

Fantastic food! The cooking is wonderful and the staff was kind and courteous. Went in at 5:00 on a Saturday night. Was almost immediately seated in a comfortable booth. Service is quick and punctual. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because of the prices and the quantities. Now paying 18 or $20 for a meal That's well made is not a shock. However receiving a portion that I would say is The same or less than a chain restaurant like Applebee's is not something I think should happen. The portions were decent especially if you're going to get the ribs. However my wife and I decided to get a burger and pulled pork. both are portions were very small and considering hers cost $14 I thought they should have been a little bit more. But don't let this deter you! This is definitely a wonderful restaurant that is well-managed and clean. I will definitely be paying future visits to this location! If you enjoy good barbecue you will enjoy this location!

1st time here and food was great, as well as service. Only objection was the pizza. Thin crust and looked good from outside but center of pizza, crust is very soggy and not appealing at all. Have had this style of pizza at other restaurants and crusts crunch and texture maintained. Need to correct this or consider replacing item.

Very fatty brisket, a good 1/3 inch fat on every piece of brisket, and the parts that weren't fat were very spongey in texture, took off bun to add sauce one look and nope, didn't eat it.

They overcharged my card. My bill was only $67.31, and I even question that now. But when I looked at my bank statement I was charged over $73 and some change. That's theft and when I call it better get handled quickly. I left a tip in cash so I know that wasn't the issue. It's a damn shame that I have to deal with this kind of mess. I'll never be back to the place in Lake Orion again!!! Ever!!!! Thieves!!!

When I first walked in I parked right up from the awesome BBQ smells. Wow!! Best smelling restaurant in Oakland County. I was there earlier than most (4:35pm) because it can get crowded there. After ordering our food arrived quick. I thought they must be giving us someone else's order since it was so fast. But it was indeed our order. I got the 2 meat platter with pulled pork, sliced brisket, mac n cheese and pit beans. It was ALL very good. Prices are also very reasonable.

Update since my daughter's graduation, when I used the 23 mile road location: I have been to their Clarkston/Lake Orion location many times since. Great atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Expect to wait on weekends unless you can wait to eat later, 7:30 ish, it begins to clear. It's a nice place to gather so people tend to linger. Highly recommend pig candy as an appetizer! Food never disappoints, good selection of drafts, you won't be disappointed.

One of My Favorite Barbecue Restaurants! All the different cuts and types of meat are tasty. The selection of sauces is fantastic, from mild to hot, sweet or tangy. During the summer the wait can be long but you always pickup.

Kind of a cool atmosphere. However, the chicken was not good lacked flavor of all kind. The service was not good as well. Took 20 minutes just to receive the check. The fries are ok but be aware that they are just like the ends of fries. Maybe it would be a better experience with different staff??? Not willing to find out after this experience. Not only great food, but they provide great service too! Our waitress was caught up in a large group and another server helped her out by taking us for her which kept things running efficiently. They ran out of what I had ordered and Dean, our waiter, openly helped me pick something different and made the order special by adding a little extra to the order! 110% customer satisfaction! After a drunken night of Top Golf, we found ourselves at Bad Brad's. It was just a bit before closing time, but the staff was still ridiculously friendly, and helpful. We all sampled one another's plates, and I couldn't believe how good everything was. The pulled pork, and brisket were my favorites. Oh, and the candied bacon is something you truly have to experience, but there wasn't a single thing I didn't love. Cost was very reasonable, as well. Go. Try it. You won't likely be disappointed.

I did take out on this occasion. Very friendly on the phone and in person. The food was scolding hot and phenomenal. All of it was amazing. The meat, the sides and the service in my opinion would all be deemed top notch. Cant wait to eat in house next time.

We decided to try Brads for the first time yesterday and the wait was moderate food was ready as scheduled however, I ordered the 3 meat meal the brunt ends was little fatty cubes my first bite I spat it out because my mouth was full of grease. I thought brunt ends was charred tips of rib meat not charred fat maybe I misunderstood. The Collard greens weren't that bad but, they had black eyed peas mixed in them maybe that was a mistake we also ordered a slab of ribs the flavor wasn't bad but, they had a layer of fat between the meaty part not on the back. Maybe this is a new trend of eating fatty meat and we are out of the loop however, we will not be returning.

On the plus side: The meats are very well cooked which is the most important part of BBQ. The mac and cheese side is wonderful if you like garlic. My husband said the pit beans were very good as well. Service was great. Only 3 stars because: The BBQ sauces were not very good. If I go again I would bring my own. I am picky about BBQ but I thought the sauces weren't even as good as commercial sauces in the grocery store. Spicy isn't really spicy and the sweet was sweet as syrup. They also seemed watered down in general. The corn bread is terrible... as sweet as cake but had peppers in it which just didn't go together. The sausage had too much spice, fennel maybe, it was overpowering and the sausage wasn't enjoyable.

Our son goes to college locally and Brad's was recommended by the front desk at our hotel. We have been there twice now and have not been disappointed. Go here once, just to check out the interior/exterior. Come back again to enjoy the excellent BBQ! Beef, pork, chicken and turkey; all excellent & excellent sides, too. I recommend without hesitation. My dining companions commented that the beer price was a little steep, but my H2O was fine!

The food was good (I had a ribeye) and the staff were pleasant. While it didn't raise the bar as far as bbq is concerned, it was better than average. I would however suggest that if you decide to go, do not do so from 4-6pm, as there is construction right in front of the place and during rush hour, traffic is horrible as a result, and the food was not so outstanding as to make dealing with the frustration of sitting in traffic for 30 mins to go the last mile of the drive just to get there. If you go when traffic is not very heavy, it is worth the trip, but if you are looking to eat dinner at a bbq restaurant, during rush hour, I would recommend that you choose somewhere else, because at that time of day, the traffic that you have to battle is not worth the hassle it takes to get there.

I live in the bbq-rich south and was up visiting family, this is the real thing. Delicious pulled pork and juicy smoked turkey. Don't miss the garlic broccoli and the pig candy. Good craft beer selection (Alaskan Amber, one of my favorites, and Bell's Two Hearted and Oberon). Great staff. Go eat there.

Drove by here a few times and every time I said I needed to try it. Well, i finally decided to go with a group of 4 of us. We got the burnt pork belly as an appetizer, it was pretty good. We all got a 2 meat plate. I got double beef brisket because I love beef brisket. The flavor was pretty horrible. From all the reviews that I read about this place, people seem to thoroughly enjoy the food. I'm not sure if it was a bad day or what but the amount of smoke flavor that was on the brisket was overpowering and downright inedible. I mentioned something to the waitress and she said it's always like that and people love it. I ended up eating a few bites and didnt take the leftovers. Another person got ribs and pulled pork, they said the ribs were fairly dry and the pulled pork was just "okay". We were all very disappointed with our experience at bad Brad's and will not return for another visit.

This place is amazing! I was in a group of 20 celebrating a friend's birthday. Our waiters were on top of everything and the food was excellent. I plan on going back again. Next time I'm hoping to be able to sit outdoors and eat in their patio section. The grounds are really beautiful. There are quite a few metal sculptures and there's even a pretty little pond.

Updating my rating from 3 to 5 stars after my most recent visit. Decided to come back and give Bad Brad's another try and we were not disappointed. Lauren was our server, she was very helpful, polite, attentive & patient (I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat). The Moscow mules we're excellent. I got a pulled pork sandwich with their homemade chips (yum) I added a side of coleslaw and Mac and cheese. The Mac & cheese is to die for!! My husband got the burnt ends, coleslaw and corn bread. The corn bread and butter is delicious!! We had to order extra to go. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. And I'm so happy we decided to give it another try, because we were pleasantly surprised. Thank you Lauren for your excellent service! We will be back again next time we're in town.

The BBQ ribs were very tender. And al the signature sauces was great. My Husband and I wish we had the collard greens and Jalapeno corn bread to bring home. It was delicious.

Too much fake lemon in the sweet tea makes it taste like canned Lipton. Tacos were pretty good needed more toppings less meat. Wings are good if you like heavy smoke flavor. Mac and Cheese was most disappointing as it was one flavor...garlic and way too much. Chips are very tasty.
