First time at Via Lago and the experience was great. Went with good friends. Food was great and excellent wine list. Service was excellent as well.

Great homey place for breakfast, lunch, dinner

Awesome food and environment. Service could have been faster at the bar in terms of cashing out. I haven't been there before, so maybe just a fluke. The food, nice staff, and environment were more than enough to rate 5 stars.

Antonio Battaglia

Really fantastic dinner! Had the double pork chop which was very thick & super delicious! They have fantastic food and service!!

A nice family owned restaurant in Lexington. . Offers from nice high quality diner breakfast to nice candel light dinners. . A good place to meet friends and business associates for coffee or a light meal and also dine out with the spouse. . I prefer Via Lago over Panera Bread, Peet's and definitely over Starbucks. Better quality food, fantastic service and even the coffe is acceptable (for an American style coffe)

Isaac Pato

Via Lago has great food and is inexpensive. The staff are very friendly and service is quick. Recommend for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Matt Russell

Great place for a fancy dinner without the expensive price tag (almost all entrees under $20) During the fall they have really good menu items with varying types of squash. Wine was delicious and the entrees as well. The 10 hour pork-belly roast was amazing, perfectly cooked and tender. The deserts were also very good, we got the creme brulee and the warm chocolate cake. Only downside of the whole experience was that the tables were very close together and we sat next to a very picky elderly couple who sent everything and were rude to the waiter. The entire crowd was definitely on the older side, but still made for a pleasant evening.

Dumb place doesnt do take out after 6pm...whats with that? Dumb dummies

We dropped by this little place after shopping at the nearby Wilson Farm. The food was great, ingredients were top notch, service was very personalized. They paid careful attention to my food allergies. Will return.

Maximilian Britton

Food is decent, but the service is slow.

James Melendez

Some great seafood and sandwich options, and for a great price too!

Catherine Clifford

Stopped for a late lunch and had a terrific corned beef (they make their own) sandwich. My friend had a chicken quesadilla which she said was delicious. Glad to add Via Lago to our list of great lunch options.

I've been going here for years. It's a hit or miss. If the place is very busy, the quality suffers.

Food is consistently delish

I would have to check my memory banks deep and long to find a better tenderloin sandwich. I wish onion rings could be a side dish

Nicholas Wong

Great for lunch and dinner with very different atmospheres for both. Lunch is very casual with a self-serve counter where you order. Food will then be brought to your table. Dinner is more upscale, but very reasonably priced, with full-service only dining. (Unless you do take-out).

Great lunch. Reasonable prices for breakfast.

Ralph Vitiello

Lunch with a group of eight people, somewhat of a cluster of guests who didn't know the procedure for placing their order. The staff was quick to assist in moving the line through quickly and efficiently. Having menus available before being asked to order for first time in would be a good idea; go to PRESSED in Burlington as an example. Great sandwich!

Starbuds Pueblo

Excellent food the chef is awesome. Average service. The server was average and an unknown server then auctioned off the dinner plates. Finally they gave us the check and then turned up the lights two times to get us to leave. Bad deal. Never going back.

I really want to love this place, the menu is simple and the food is tasty and affordable. However, I always end up with very slow service which ends up ruining the night for me. I've been three times this year and hope it improves in the future.

Excellent, elegant, innovative comfort food. I had a hard time deciding what to pick on the fall menu. Spaghetti squash tartlet with duck and portobello was a very good (but not mind-blowing) appetizer. Delicatto squash risotto with roast chicken was fantastic, and the skin on the chicken was crispy as bacon. Next night, curried apple pumpkin bisque was delicious; lemon herb pan-seared mussels cooked perfectly with a subtle side of spaghetti squash regiano, but the garlicked spinach was a bit heavy-handed on the oil and salt. The atmosphere is charming and cozy and the two bartenders friendly and attentive. My food took about 40 minutes to come out the first night, and the (owner? manager?) came out to apologize because the first tartlet got overcooked, so they had to start over & comped me the tartlet, so that was nice. Everything was prompt the second night, but I switched from beer to cocktails and the cocktail recipes, while tasty, were a bit heavy on the mixers, making the core bourbon almost disappear. Still, I will miss this place & definitely make it my regular joint on work trips here.

Best breakfast in town right across from the Battle Green where America started!!!! Amazing home style cooking. You won't regret stopping in here if you are in town as a tourist. Also consider them to cater your next function!!!

Both as a quick lunch stop or a fine dining experience, Vialago has it all covered. The staff is friendly and the service above par!

Decent food, reasonable prices but consistently long wait times, especially since the restaurant expanded. Via Lago now has now more demand when it's busy than the small kitchen can accommodate, hence backlogged orders and long wait times. When issue was brought to attention of owner, he was defensive, bordering on rude. Best to avoid until they clean up the mess.

Justin O'Connor

Food was good, server adequate, and management in our opinion, not customer committed or friendly. Pricing $$$ of four. Not going to rush back. BTW unlike most of their peer restaurants, you can't use a gift card to leave your server a tip.

Ryan McEniff

good local place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The food is wonderful! Great staff! Had the grilled red snapper with salsa - awesome!

Kevin Osborn

Good food. Nicely balanced. I had the Greek salad and my companions had quiche (served with a salad) and veggie tacos (also with salad). A little loud but we were able to converse. The men’s bathroom is down stairs so I don’t know what they do for handicapped people

Susanna Whitman

Doolie Ainsworth

Food and the staff are step above. The food choices for lunch are plentiful and delicious. The dinner menu is a little pricey but well worth it.

Richard Dougherty

with newlyexpanded space and great quality and pricing for the meal, this lexington treat is well worth the visit. combining the best of a deli and bistro experience with table services - i have never missed for quality and value at via lago!

mizo

Not that good. The cafe has many choices, but that means the food is not fresh. You see a lot of salads and wraps on display and i swear it taste like its a week old. The other thing i didn't like about this place is the owner. He is kinda rude and rushes people to finish their lunch.

Michael Sheeley

Nina Johannessen

I've been going to Via Lago for many years for dinner. The food is excellent and the value is great. The menu changes often enough so there is always something new to try. Service has consistently been tops.

decent food for take out, never stayed but usually pretty quick.

Great restaurant. The menu never stays stagnant, and I have always had quality meals here. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant in the public lot and also on the street that is your first right after you pass Via Lago. I would recommend the Osso Bucco, but you really can’t go wrong! Very well composed and thought out dishes.

Nice variety of food, some mediterranean, some not so much. Enjoyed everything I've had there.

Ben Matteson

Food was very good but we were newbies and the process for ordering wasn't very clear. Our very busy waitress was pretty impatient (bordering on rude).

Leonard Schwartz

Excellent food, reasonable prices, good service. More like family oriented restaurant.

Dinos Santafianos

Great place for dinner, they have a great cocktail selection, I fell in love with their version of a Manhattan, it has bourbon, lavender bitters and maple syrup, it's delicious, the osso buco is fantastic the cod was awesome as well. Love this place.

Food and menus are great! Love the monthly seasonal options, friendly staff, and top notch catering to boot.

Ben Fichera

Impressive that they can get such quality food out so fast.

Sarika Kulshrestha

Tables are placed too close to each other. So I used my own chair to hang my purse on one side. One of the staff members pushed my purse & I thought that might have been an accident. I placed it on other side of my chair. She cames again and pushes my purse, visibly on purpose this time. This was all within 5 minutes of quietly entering the restaurant. It appeared rude to me. She wasn't even our hostess for the night. In all, not a good experience.

Henry Tseng

Nathalie Touzé

Went for dinner with friends. Good food, good wine at a fair price! Plus pretty nice setting: big table with white tablecloth.

Carolyn Goff

Met a friend for lunch and the place was very busy and noisy. So that means it's popular right? I was a little confused at first. You place your coat at a table and then go up to the counter/display case to order any number of hot or cold items, which were plentiful. I had a cup of chicken noodle soup which was good and we both had wrap sandwich's. Mine was a Roasted Chicken, Cheddar and Avocado $9.00 it was good - just a little pricey. Paid parking in the front on the street with meters or in the back parking lot.

Joe Pato

This place has been open for decades and throughout all that time has excelled in their food and service. Whether it's a quiet breakfast, good lunch or nice dinner that you're after, Via Lago won't disappoint.

Jeewoong Choi

I’m a regular; breakfast is hearty and affordable; lunch and takeout are hassle free, good american food. Dinner here is a bit pricier but also delicious. Their menu is varied and I certainly don’t like everything on offer but I wholly recommend eggs breakfasts, french toast, any dinner with fish or scallops, the chicken pot pie, and the tortellini salad!

Bryn Weiler

Always good, probably the best restaurant for a nice dinner in Lexington.

Thomas Lenox

Sarah Meyer

While I was there, I tried their burger, squash ravioli, and also some of their breakfast selection. The burger was tough and slightly overcooked, not to mention rather bland. Even a little seasoning could have gone a long way! Same with the ravioli- the ravioli was quite underseasoned. Their breakfast selection is quite normal, however, when I got my egg, the white was still a bit raw and not cooked through. Overall, it was quite underwhelming, to say the least. If you're in Lexington center and need food, this isn't the worst place ever, however, do not expect to be blown away by the food.
