Went with my brother for a last minute meal before a Tanglewood concert. Firefly deserves nothing more than 1 star because of the gaudy atmosphere, freezing temperatures, salty food, and an over priced menu. 24 dollars for some sausage and shrimp with rice. Overall I do not recommend this restaurant.

The Place has been Rennovated, (I was told by 3 different people) & Looks Great, but, the Food was Nothing to Cheer about. Our waiter was friendly enough, but, Never came back to check how our food was! $17Hamburgers, poor in flavor, & Caesar Salad that was so shaved, it was like eating Cole Slaw! YUK. My Mussels were ok, w/tomatoes & fried onions, but, Veggie burger my friend had was so awful in Taste & Texture, she couldn't eat it! And was taken off the bill. It would have been nice to have been offered another option. And this has never happened to me before...but, My glass of wine was so Small it was really like getting a Taste! It was poured from a tiny 5 oz glass decanter which you might use to add some liquid ingredient to a recipe, or perhaps a little oil to a saute pan. Our waiter poured it my 6 oz. 'wine' Glass w/ some flourish. I said are you Kidding?! It was a poor Malbec (who even knows if it Was a Malbec) & was charged $12 for that privilege. (guess they have to Pay for the Rennovations). No Wine List was on our Table...just Beer, so I have to take his word for it. Needless to say, would Never Return here, to be treated to Bad Food.

Sadly stopped in very busy 1 hr til close. Greeted half heartedly and even tho a table available a 4 top. Not offered and basically let us walk out. I have been in the business many years and every customer counts. No one was waiting and still we could not be sat at a 4 top. Bad form!

Very disappointing. Paid 28$ for five shrimp and two small pieces of bread. Went home hungry. Staff said that the 'gumbo' was really a starter, but was listed and price.d among the mains.

Tonight I was not impressed. Sat outside which was lovely untill the mosquitoes arrived. Ordering seemed to take longer than usual. Food is tastie... perhaps would have been even tastier had the order been correct. Guess if you dining with a group these things might go un-noticed. Priced for summer tourist.

We had a very mediocre meal at Firefly a couple of weeks ago. My daughter ordered vegetable lasagne and there were almost no vegetables, just pasta and sauce. I ordered scallops which were very well cooked with a nice crust but so much salt that you couldn't taste the sweetness of the scallops. We did have a love salad to start with local tomatoes and goat cheese. Very disappointing for a $100 meal for 2 in chef owned restaurant.

Paid $100 for one of the worst meals we've had. At 6:30pm they were out of half of their entrees. Had to settle for my 3rd choice - which was $22 but no bigger than an appetizer. The service was lousy - our waitress would disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time. We were still hungry so we needed dessert. But they were out of half of those, too. Had to settle for our 4th choice, which was their "special". The most tasteless peach pie I've ever had. The service was so slow they comp'd us the pie, but then forgot to take it off the bill. Still hungry after we left - had to hit up the candy machine at the hotel for a Snickers.

I've been going to the Berkshires for Columbus Day weekend for 9 years now and while we have dinner on Church Street in Lenox every year, for whatever reason, I'd never been to Firefly. But it's now on my Return List! It's casual, the food is good -- some things better than others -- and there was live music. The great thing about being in the separate dining room is that you can hear the music, but still have a conversation. It's a bit more of party in the bar area where the band is. But you can pick and choose which you want -- or try both!

Last night, I took my family consisting of my wife, son, his wife, and their two year old. We arrived at our reservation time of 6:00 pm and noticed that there were no restaurant parking facilities. We found a spot about 2 blocks away and were then seated promptly. The room we were in was empty except for one other table. There were two high chairs available for children, both had broken safety straps. I took off my pants belt and improvised. Menus and the beverage order were taken and the drinks arrived 10 minutes later. Our food order was taken. After 45 minutes, the pre-meal snacks arrived followed by entrees 15 minutes later. The food was fair. The $15 hamburger was quite small for this price when compared to other restaurants in the area. The ribs on the other hand, I found quite bland. When examining the menu the prices for most of their choices were quite out of line. eg. side dish of fried potatoes was $8. Lamb was $28. During the meal I requested a refill of the soda I had finished. It arrived 15 minutes later after I completed eating. The decor of the place is quite rundown. Lamps from the 1950's, bathrooms that need a complete remodel, and "artwork" on the wall from a teenagers basement . I will not be coming back!

We ate here twice recently. Small but good beer selection. Food was mixed and some menu items not available but we still really liked it. Ate outside once and came back to sit at the bar. A lot bigger inside than it looks. A nice plus during the busy season is that it opens at 3 when most places are closed. A nice alternative when everything is packed during the summer.

The menu is fairly large with a good variety of food and the prices were in line with the quality delivered. Both of our meals were good but were nothing exceptional or out of the ordinary. The service was very friendly and helpful and, despite the restaurant being nearly completely full, our orders arrived promptly. If you visit you won't go away disappointed with your meal, but there may be better options in the area if you are looking for something more.

Overpriced for sub par food, paid $17 for a plain small burger with no seasoning/flavor. Onion rings also unimpressive to my taste buds, undercooked flavorless and overly doughy. Would not recommend

I stopped into Firefly while passing through Lenox on a Saturday evening. They were booked up with reservations so I sat at the bar where Tyler took care of me. I ordered the rainbow trout with parsnip puree and I can see why the place was so booked - the food was incredible and the service was top notch. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back.

I'm surprised by some of the critics of this American bistro. I found service friendly, perhaps slow however but only so much as to allow for proper savoring. My trout almondine with saffron risotto and Brussel sprout sides was the finest trout fish I've tasted; rich, complex, and ideally cooked. The duck confit salad special I shared as an appetizer was balanced with mild goat cheese, acidic picked onion and sweet raisins- thoughtful and seasonally perfect. I was even pleased with the reasonable cost considering the food quality and portioning. I am hard pressed to find a reason not to return to Firefly.

What a great find. Fantastic atmosphere; live music, dancing, great service by a VERY friendly and professional staff that all worked together seamlessly. The food choices are pub fair but done very well. Try the trout! We cancelled the next days plans and simply went back for more fun. Tyler.... The bar mgr was engaging, funny, and a joy to watch as he worked and interacted with his patrons making everyone feel welcome. I've seen plenty of bartenders in my life. This guy is the consummate professional. All I can say to the management is "Well done!!"

On the outskirts of a cute artsy town is a contemporary pub/bar/lounge. You walk in and think that the outside doesn't match the inside but in a good way. Great drinks and beer selection from local area.

Menu items were a bit expensive but lobster salad was loaded generously. We went to see a local band called Misty Blues, the band is excellent the best jazz blues band I've seen live, the only downfall is that the Firefly is so small. The band barely had enough room to set up and there is only room for 4 couples to dance, any more than that and it's gridlocked. Misty Blues is a great band but this venue is way too small to really enjoy them.
