Had my daughters wedding at The Bayfront Club last Tuesday . It was perfect, great location, event coordinator did a excellent job. Servers were very polite, and attentive to the guests. Food was great. Thank you for a great day !

To make things short, the people working here make it seem like everything's going to be perfect and that they can do anything that you plan out and have sent to them. They have a webpage for you to use so that all your details are kept and then coordinator can act accordingly but apparently that isn't enough because whatever details you put in there doesn't happen. This place almost screwed up my wedding because they didn't pay attention to the seating setup that I made very clear several times before the wedding day. They started putting seats where they shouldn't have and my family members had to point it out that it was wrong if they hadn't been caught doing that I wouldn't have been able to walk down the pathway that we rehearsed and it would have been screwed up by the way the landscape is. There are many things that went wrong with this company but I want to keep this short. If you want people that do their jobs, don't go here get a real company to do it go by the reviews before jumping into a mess like this.

Elisabeth was our contact from Catering by Uptown for my son and daughter-in-laws' wedding. It was held at the Star Spangled Banner Flag House. Elisabeth did an outstanding job in organizing the reception. Elisabeth's attention to detail was superb! The food was excellent and the set-up was beautiful. Thank you Elisabeth and to all of the Uptown staff working behind the scenes to help make this a truly wonderful memory of a lifetime.

My fiance and I are getting married at the Anchor Inn in the fall. So far we have been very impressed with the service we've gotten throughout the planning process. We've been working with Marissa and she has been an absolute gem. She answers our questions promptly and is so lovely to work with! She has also been really flexible with us on some things since we are planning from far away. Based on the negative reviews I've read, I'm thinking there might be a couple of bad apples here and there that are ruining the bunch. It might just depend on who you get to work with. Hopefully our day-of coordinator is either Marissa herself or someone just as fabulous!

Our vow renewal by Catering by Uptown, was simply amazing!!! From starting to plan to the last second of our reception was without a hitch. Everyone we came into contact with, was a pleasure to work with. They answered every question I had, and handled every request. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I could not have asked for anything thing better!

This company provided catering to 1700 K St yesterday (12/12/17) and everything was impeccable. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS, from the chicken, to the green beans, to the potatoes. It was perfectly seasoned and fresh. The employees were friendly and hardworking, constantly refilled the trays with fresh food. I highly recommend this catering company.

Terrible experience years ago. My daughter got scared, changed her mind and decided not to get married two weeks before the date. Obviously a smart choice by my daughter but uptown was absolutely disgusting about our options. We were expecting maybe they keep $5000 (for doing nothing) Uptown told me we could have a party anyway (yeah that’s appropriate) or we could reschedule? Or we get a $1000 back (wedding was pre-paid at approx $23K. Obviously we didn’t feel any of these options were fair. So we attempted to take them to court. We lost everything ( they lied about the expenses they had already put into the party ( we knew it was a lie because my brother was in the catering business, staff is only paid if they work, most foods like crab meat and fresh veggies etc aren’t ordered until a few days ahead it was their venue so all supplies were already there etc) the judge inexplicably believed their lies!! So they received $23,000 for doing absolutely NOTHING!! Very piggish company!!! They were greedy and uncaring about our situation! After the case was dismissed their lawyer told our lawyer ‘this company sure keeps me busy!! I’d put zero stars but google won’t allow

The Villa is an amazing venue! My best friend just got married there. The perfect June wedding. Conveniently located with two hotels within walking distance. The staff was so helpful to the entire wedding party and the food was amazing!

I would not recommend this business for a wedding! They make it seem as though your wedding day is gonna be perfect and that they are the professionals that did not turn out to be the case, here are the facts - they tell you that the bride and groom will have there own servers for cocktail hour that did not happen at all, our cocktail hour was appaulding to say the least, we were to have open bar, the guests were not allowed in the tent to get alcohol during cocktail hour (until some guests got frustrated and demanded it) They had staff that showed up late (30 minutes before wedding). Venue which was Waverly mansion was not kept up well, llight bulbs burnt out, table turned over on floor and stink bugs eerywhere. It started to rain and wedding presents were outside, guests told coordinator about it and did nothing so our guests moved presents inside themselves. The head table was not set up for correct number of people even though it was listed on the website what the number of people were. Servers took food from guests before it was finished, and end of night they started cleaning things up and throwing out things which were our own personal items without asking, The cake top for the one year anniversay was smashed and put into a plastic container with a box over it with magic markers in it. We have three typed pages of complaints so needlless to say if you want your wedding day to be your perfect day I would NOT recommend this business! I usually do not do reviews but I really would hate to see anyone go through what we are going through with this company.

Great company to work with! Went above and beyond to make our daughter's sweet 16 as special as she is. Offered a separate stations menu for the teens , and a seated dinner for the adults. Our day of coordinator Eileen was amazing and made sure we actually enjoyed the day instead of worrying over the details.

I was recommended to Catering by Uptown by a colleague that said their food and service was very good. They truly did not disappoint. All of my guests raved about how the food was the best they've ever had a wedding. I was very pleased with how all of the staff went above and beyond to make sure my night was perfect.

Just got married. Celebrations at the Bay is beautiful. Couldn't ask for a better view. However, beware with the planning process. Considering the price we had to pay, after our planning meeting where we picked out our food, cake flavors and linens, they lost it all. 2 weeks before the wedding we had to re-create all of it from memory. It was extremely disorganized. The morning of the wedding, all the table linens were the wrong color (had they been properly written down during the planning meeting, this would not have happened). Thankfully, one of the caterers arranged to have them swapped out to match the actual wedding colors. At the planning meeting, they said not to match the head table to the bridesmaids, and at the reception, my bridesmaids were blue and their table was blue. Some guests who had food allergies were not given the proper dishes even though they were specified on the planning website. Our day of coordinator was extremely rude to our DJ and adamantly told the mother-of-the- bride the whole wedding needed "to leave" at 4:00 when we were originally told 4:30. While we had guests still there, they were taking down all the decorations and linens. She was very impatient. Again, beautiful venue and the food was delicious, but what a stressful process for the money. I would never work with them again.

We used Catering by Uptown in conjunction with Celebrations at The Bay and it was amazing. all of our guests were raving about the crab cakes and lobster bisque. Guests were saying it was the best crab cake they have had in a while. The presentation was well executed and our dinner looked picture perfect plated. Service was quick too during the wedding. I would absolutely recommend them.

My inquiries were first answered by Jeff and the first sentence in his email to me was “I can’t believe I’m getting so much for this price” and he couldn’t have been more correct. From the moment we contracted with Uptown their attention to detail and personalization was great. I loved how easy they made everything with the setup on their website, it was great. The day of the wedding was no different. When I walked into the reception area and saw how beautiful everything was set up I was in awe. The food tasted as good as the day I had the private tasting. My day of coordinator was there at all times to make sure everything was perfect (and it was). If you’re looking for a caterer who pays attention to detail and wants to ensure you have your dream wedding Catering by Uptown is the way to go.

We hired Uptown Catering for our daughters wedding on Oct 1st 2016. We could not have been happier. The food was delicious and looked amazing. The beef was tender as if cooked to order, the chicken unbelievably flavorful and juicy. The salad looked so good that it was hard to take a bite in fear of ruining the look. The hors d'oeuvres were plentiful and delicious to the point that our guests would not have complained if there was no dinner following the cocktail hour. Sandra was a FANTASTIC day of event planner. I do not know what I would have done without her. Everything was put together very elegantly and before I could even think of details they were already done. I cannot say enough and cannot thank Uptown Catering and Sandra enough. I know where we will go for our younger daughters wedding. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Here is a photo of the table set up. Our guests are still talking about this wedding after 4 months.

This is in regards to the wedding which Catering by Uptown took part of on 4/22/18. I didn't have any experience actually planning the wedding that Uptown catered for, but the service from each member of their staff was great! The servers were all very polite and always there at the right time. The bar staff was great especially since it was an open bar with quite a few wedding guests to serve.

Jeff D. has been such an amazing consultant for us! We recently settled on a venue and a date. We look forward to what awaits us on our big day! Jeff is responsive, kind and knows all of the venues and packages really well. He helped us find a beautiful location that met our desires and needs without sacrificing the timeframe we envisioned! You have to try the food! We were not disappointed. The stunning variety of venues gives you ample options to choose from. I found it difficult to look elsewhere. With so many positive reviews and food that looks as good as it tastes, it was really had to pass. As I imagined, these venues book quickly for Saturday events so I do recommended looking at least 1.5-2 years prior, if that is your desired day. Be sure to ask for Jeff. He will guide you through all the desired venues and hot items on the menu!

We had our wedding there in October. There were a few hiccups, but the staff was very helpful in resolving our concerns. The staff the day-of was attentive and quick to respond to our changing needs as the weather turned from okay to terrible. I'd happily recommend Catering by Uptown to my friends and family, especially after having a chance to work directly with Rob of the management staff. We had my daughters wedding at their Bayfront Club venue on 6/1/19. Everything from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception went perfect. The food was excellent and they saw to the wedding party and our guests every need. Brittany who was the wedding coordinator did an outstanding job and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The venue is off of the water so an outside ceremony by the pier made for a splendid day. Thank you for making this day very special and one we will always remember!
