Got pit beef the other day and it was TERRIBLE. Tasted like it was thrown into the coals. Couldn't taste the meat at all. All I tasted was smoke. It was so gross. Giving 2 stars because it's never been this bad before. Disappointed.

My organization hired Beefalo Bob’s to supplement the menu at a crab feast with pit meats and sides and we chose their drop-off option. Overall we were mostly pleased with the results, with a few exceptions. I’ll start with some of the positives. They give you a lot of food for your money. We placed an order for 25 guests and received enough for at least 10 more than that. We ended up having a lot leftover which we were happy to take home with us. Despite reviews I read to the contrary, they were actually very pleasant and easy to work with. We asked for a few substitutions and also ended up having to change our order at the last minute, and they were able to accommodate most of our requests. Now we move on to some of the things that were not so good. We booked delivery for an event that started at 4:00 but the food was delivered at 3:30, so it was mostly cold by the time the guests had arrived and we began serving. Even if we had set up our warming trays it still would’ve been sitting out idly for quite some time getting dry or crusty over the heating elements. They weren’t nearly as generous with the condiments and toppings as they were with the food. We had them supply the typical condiments like ketchup, mustard, mayo, barbecue, etc. as well as the lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese. We received the same amount (a small container) of each condiment, so some of the ones that are more popular for this type of open pit food like mayo and barbecue were used up quickly. In fact we received nowhere near enough barbecue for the huge tray of pulled pork. The same goes for the onion which was also gone almost immediately. The amount of cheese we received was an absolute joke. It was 3 or maybe 4 slices each of American, Swiss, and Provolone, and each slice was cut in half and arranged on a plate to try to make it look like it was more than it really was. Even if our guests used just one these little half-slices on each sandwich it still wouldn’t have been nearly enough. We did receive a large bowl of lettuce and tomato which was more than enough, as well as plenty of rolls and bread. As for the food, we selected pit beef, pit turkey, and pulled pork for our meats. All of them were tender and delicious, with a great smoky flavor! The beef was a bit more rare (pink) than most people prefer it, but we only received a few complaints. For our sides we got macaroni and cheese, baked beans, and ocean fries, which are fresh cut fries that are supposed to be like Thrashers. The beans and macaroni and cheese were excellent. The fries, not so much. They were soggy, shriveled, and they tasted awful. Now in all fairness they did warn me going in that the fries don’t travel well and they don’t recommend them for drop-off service, but it’s hard for me to imagine any point when they would’ve tasted good. We ended up throwing the vast majority of them away, and to make matters worse they made us buy a double order of them for some reason in place of a fourth side, which makes no sense at all. Overall we were pretty satisfied, and would probably use them again in the future. I would just recommend being very specific about what you want and how you want things done to avoid some of the issues we had.

Beefalo Bob's catered our high school's senior class picnic for 225 people. We couldn't have asked for better service or food. They quickly responded to any emails I sent while we were planning the event. Their prices were very reasonable considering the quality of food, amount of food, and service. Upon our request, they came out to our school grounds to help us pick a location that would work best as well as an alternative location for bad weather. The day of our event we did have passing storms and their staff worked seamlessly through it all. As the organizer of the event, Beefalo Bob's took a lot of work off of my plate. It is worth having them provide the drinks, desserts, plates, cutlery, and condiments. They showed up a half an hour earlier than I expected, which made me feel good. And they were ready to serve before the first student arrived. They were cleaned up in about 20 minutes after the picnic ended. They wrapped up all the leftover food for us so we could store it overnight at our school and treat the faculty the next day. When we do an event like this again, Beefalo Bob's will be our go to!

This is the second event we have hosted that was catered by Beefalo Bob's, and we have attended two others that were catered by them. The service is terrific, and the food is always fabulous. No one goes home hungry. The mac and cheese in particular is always a HUGE hit, but it is all good! Prices are very reasonable, and the time and work that it saves makes it all well worth the cost.

Beefalo Bobs is hands down the best caterer you can use. Nevermind the fabulous service, the friendly and punctual staff, and competitive pricing. But the food.....the food....THE FOOD! It's simply amazing! Their fried chicken is the best I've ever had; and I was raised in the South. I've had their pit beef, turkey, bbq chicken. Everything is always top flight. I use them for all of my events and you should too!

BEST CATERING COMPANY. NO BODY COMES CLOSE. I have been using Beefalo Bob's for years now for all my catering and have never had any problems. They knew what to do, reviewed their suggested layout with me and did not need my assistance after that. Their setup is clearly a big job, but they got it all done pretty quickly. The guys were very friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious. They did several things for our event that were above and beyond. The value was exceptional and I hope I have the oopportunity to work with them again. The group thought it was one of the best events we've held.

Best Beef in Town!! I work in back of Beefalo Bob's at the Storage Facility and there have been many days where I have found myself getting a pitbeef sandwich or hot beef platter with fries. The best way to describe this place is in the old cartoons where someone made a pie or something and the scent hand comes and grabs you by the nose and pulls you over to eat. I called in a order for half a rack of ribs & they lie & tell me 5 minutes. I get there 15 minutes later and I can't get my food because they were dealing with another couple who got food with blood in it. Meanwhile 3 people are standing around listening to the customer & I was told then even though my food is sitting on the counter I can't get it until all 3 people finish dealing with the customer. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't over 100 degrees in the building. These lazy people just had me waiting for 15 minutes then tell me here's your hot wings (remember I ordered half rack of ribs not hot wings) with a horrible attitude! I'm the one who waited all that time because they are incompetent then the heavy blonde woman gets a attitude! Then I see her walking around dripping sweat all over people's food. Finally she tells me that I'll have to wait until she does something else then they will start on my order! It's way too hot for such garbage customer service! Also I hope the health department takes a look at the sloppy woman running the place

My daughters wedding was here. The worst food I ever eat. We had about 80 guests and only 2 sometimes 3 staff personnel to help us. Now let’s get down !!!!!!! The place was dirty the floor was dirty no filthy, 30% of lights in the hall did not work, the rest room were a disaster, 1 urinal and 1 toilet in the men’s room, a line for the ladies room had 3-4 woman waiting to go. There is a bar in the next room, and people coming in and out and competing for the restrooms. There is not enough parking, the outside needs to cleaned up. Over-all it gets 2 star.

I had to plan a topping out party for work and called them up again for this. It was for 150 people and for a boss that is hard to please. My family has been going to Beefalo Bob's for years for both Thanksgiving and Easter. We have loved going there. Over the last few years, things have gone down hill. The food is OK. but the service has gone down hill. This is a management issue. The staff works hard but management needs to go to catering camp.

My lady's go to pit beef parlor in Pasadena. They have a decent amount of sides, and the collards, Mac and cheese, and baked beans are on point. I always get an XL rare pit beef, and they never disappoint from the amount of meat to the rare being cooked perfectly. Don't forget man's best friend when ordering, and get yours a doggie bag. They have quite a few options outside of pit need, so you shouldn't have too much of an issue finding something for almost everyone.

re: dine in experience Pros: Large portions for the price, including meats and draft beers/ciders. Cons: My family found the ribs, the brisket, the potato salad and the mashed potatoes mediocre. In particular, the mashed potato gravy reminded me of a mix you get from a store brand bag. Negative: One of the servings of ribs came out warm, still half-wrapped in plastic. When my eldest found the plastic, it unfortunately soured all our appetites.

COMPANY SERVED LEFTOVER BBQ FROM OTHER EVENT. SERVED PIT BEEF ,TURKEY, HAM AND TOOK LEFTOVERS BACK TO SELL TO OTHERS.
