A nice lakefront seafood restaurant. Mainly locals and serves local seafood including oysters and shrimp. Parking on side and in back. Easy to find and see from road. Fried shrimp, oysters, soft shell crabs a specialty. The salads are large and really good. Service can be a little slow around lunch but relax!

Food was amazing as well as the service. Some of the best seafood I've had in the big easy hands down. Make sure you try the fried crab claws as well as the shrimp po boy, the best! We also enjoyed a muffaletta sandwich for the first time and it was delicious! Make sure you're hungry when you come here!

My family has been going to R&O's for years. They have the best onion rings (perfectly crispy and the onion doesn't slide out the crust). I have yet to order a plate of food I don't enjoy, and the waiters/waitresses aren't always the best, but I'm never unsatisfied with the service.

Well , I had heard that this restaurant was great for muffulettas! Unfortunately, we tried it on Mother’s Day! I wish that we hadn’t! We maybe waited 20 minutes before someone actually came and took our order! So smooth she came right over! She was so sweet and worked pretty quickly with us. We ordered appetizer and then our food! It wasn’t so good! Nothing special! I wish we never went there! After we paid for it I had hootenanny a to go box! Then I forgot it! When I sent my husband back in they had tossed it! Really damn!

I had the R & O Special poboy. Ham and roast beef and gravy with melted swiss cheeses. The 5"(half) size was way more than what I could eat because has a lot of meat on it. It was delicious!! The sweet potato fries are great too! Our server was great, very attentive.

This used to be one of my favorite places, but after last night I may have to reconsider. There was 5 of us in our party, so we know the gratuity is already factored in. The waitress we had could've cared less about us, it was almost like she knew she was getting that tip so she just let us sit. We waited 15 mins to order an appetizer, then we had the hostess bring us a high chair, she also refilled our drinks, got our boxes, and then I had to go get the ticket put through. If anyone deserves that tip it should've been the hostess!! Atmosphere as always was great, food was good, but waitress just made the whole thing it terrible.

Been going here since I was a kid. Hands down one of the best seafood gumbos in NOLA. Roast beef poboys and crawfish pasta are must try dishes. Salads, fried seafood platters and pizzas are good choices as well.

Pretty chill place with friendly staff and plenty of seating. Based on the waiting area this place gets super busy during peak hours. No wait after 1pm so get seated immediately. The roast beef Po Boy is the item to order. Delicious Italian bread with the fixing on top making one hell of a sandwich. The fried sweet potatoes were excellent, fried to perfection and crispy. I’m sure the other Po boys are excellent as well but the roast beef is what I came for and was not disappointed. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.

Great location in Bucktown to get a traditional PoBoy in a very home style environment. Very friendly Wait Staff, and haven’t had a bad thing to eat here! While I wished I could have grabbed a picture of the “Debris Fries”, unfortunately they didn’t last long enough. Certainly one of our favorite things on the menu. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the city, as right after eating, you can take a nice stroll down Lakeshore or head over to City Park.

Family and locals eat here right on the other side of the dike containing Lake Ponchartrain. The food is good, and quickly served. We had the roast beef Pork Boy with gravy, a shrimp Po Boy, and onion rings. All were wonderful. We had too much to finish it all. No room for dessert, but they are good.

Can't go wrong with this Bucktown staple! I have been a customer for a long time and have had most of thier menu over the last couple decades. They are constantly good always busy and the only thing I have been disappointed with that I have order was the salad. Avoid the salad and R&O has something on the menu that will satisfy everyone in your group. Not cheap but reasonably price for the quality and quantity of food you get. Odds are you will leave with lunch for the next day. Atmosphere is loud and usually cramped but the food is worth it!

Wow!! Even before you enter the place, the smells drifting across the car park are insanely good. As a guest from out of town, three of us had a pound of crawfish to start, then a shrimp, an oyster and a beef po boy. The waiter instantly recognised we would want to try/share each other's and suggested they all be cut into thirds. A side of fried onions to share, and dinner was done. Proper New Orleans hospitality. Lurve it!!!! :)

Came here after seeing it on The Layover w/Anthony Bourdain. Ordered the half roast beef and it was AAAMMMMZZZIIINNNG. Side order of onion rings and hush puppies, because, why not? Everything was great. The waiter "Eric" was extremely nice and helpful. Just a very down to earth place away from all the tourists (even though I'm one).

My wife and I really enjoyed the specialty sandwich the rno with the roast beef and Ham and all the fixings would be gravy the only setback of the greasy onion rings they were not really edible but everything else was great the service atmosphere and the specialty sandwich will be coming back will not get the onion rings

The sandwiches aka Po Boys are made with an authentic french bread rolls that is difficult to find anywhere. My stuffed crab sandwich was great, my guest had a combination seafood plate that was overwhelming in size. Everything cooked perfect. Also had to sample the onion rings which were crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. The order was very large and none of our table of 4 were able to eat all the food making a take home in order for later. Price fair, service great.

Basically an Italian restaurant, R&Os is a bit pricey, but the food is excellent. And most times you can eat half and take half home, so that mitigates the prices. I had the artichoke hearts and lettuce salad with Italian dressing ( the small portion) and I had trouble finishing that. The lasagna is wonderful, and even the spaghetti and meatballs are very tasty. The place was very crowded for lunch, but this is basically status quo for this restaurant. I recommend it highly.

Had the hot tamale balls as an appetizer. Unique, like the meat and masa of a hot tamale rolled up in a ball and swimming in a mexican brown gravy! Yum. This is where I bring my mom when she’s in town visiting with me. It’s really authentic and popular with the locals although it is becoming more and more popular with tourists it feels. I believe this is where you get the best debris po’boys in town. The bread they use, the mayo and the texture and flavour of the shredded beef are all awesome. I’ve not been able to finish a full-sized one yet but I’m gonna keep going back and trying! 
