Oak Lodge is the best kept secret in Baton Rouge! Their event space is tastefully decorated and clean, the food is always delicious and reasonably priced, the location is convenient, and it’s owners and staff go the extra mile to accommodate any special needs we might have for our meetings and menu. I would highly recommend for any club or corporate meeting, lunch or reception needs.

Nice place for a small to mid-sized event. We were there for a small wedding, and they did a good job from the guests' perspective. This facility has served as a number of different venues over the years, and the decor is quite nice for its current uses. They have a bar, some private dining areas, and a fair bit of space for food and additional dining seating.

I AM SO GLAD I USED THEM FOR MY WEDDING! My guests and I were impressed all around. For the wedding planning, my oak lodge wedding coordinator Deborah was fabulous! She knew the questions to ask and the little details. She sat with me and my mom and we outlined the whole ceremony, reception timeline and game plan. It helped me actually enjoy our wedding day as opposed to stressing about timelines etc. After the ceremony they make the bride and groom a plate in a private room in the back so you can sit, eat and enjoy your first moments of marriage. They packed up all the leftover food at the end so I didn't have to worry about it. The actually reception hall is beautiful! All my guest kept telling me how nice the venue was. Also the food is FABULOUS!! We got to go to a few tastings in the months before our wedding to try out their different items too. Overall I was so pleased with my oak lodge experience from touring different venues all the way down to getting guest together for the big exit and packing up the leftovers. This place it worth every penny all around!

Kayla did an absolutely wonderful job, especially when I saw the flowers from my florist. Kayla was able to save the wedding and my nerves by finding bright pink ribbons and re-wrapping my bridal parties bouquets. What more could I ask for? She even was able to save the cake topper by supplying extra flowers from center pieces. Kayla, thank you so much. I would definitely recommend Oak Lodge to anyone and everyone. I cannot thank you all enough for an amazing wedding and reception.

Oak Lodge has served as an excellent host for our monthly trade association meetings for the past several years. The atmosphere, food and service has consistantly been terriffic over the years. I have attended at least two weddings, several football viewing parties, an anniversary party and also attended a large offsite party which they catered. I would not hesitate to recommend Oak Lodge for any type reception/function/catering event.

I recently had a function at Oak Lodge. The guest list included a very particular group of retired AT&T Pioneers. The function went off without a hitch. The guests were extreemly complimentary about the service and quality of food provided by Mr. Stevens and his staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment and owners to anyone wanting to have. access to a high end facility that will leave you and your guests thouroughly satisfied after a marvelous experience. It would be well worth your time to check out what they have to offer for your next important function.

The service was beyond awful. I booked this facility for my best friend's bridal shower and let's just say dealing with this place and the people, Elette and the owner Mike Stevens, made me feel like I was on a long miserable rollercoaster that made me sick at the end. The original shower date was planned for August 13th which was a date that fell during the flooding in Baton Rouge. I started receiving flood warnings on my phone early on the morning of the 13th. I contacted the facility multiple times to ask if we could reschedule to which I was denied the chance unless I wanted to pay a fine. They assured me that everything was fine. Everything being the room, the parking lot, and access to the facility. I then assured the guests who were traveling from New Orleans, Slidell, and surrounding areas. I headed towards the facility early since I was hosting the shower. On my way there I received a phone call from Elette who THEN told me I could reschedule at no charge. I told her that it was extremely irresponsible to tell someone 30 mins before their event that they could reschedule. I arrived at the facility to discover that not only was their parking lot flooded, but the original room I booked had multiple ceiling tiles falling. I then began to feel not only disappointed but angry because I was lied to. I was then told that they allowed everyone else who had booked that day to get out of their contract which then upset me even more so I asked to speak with the owner. The owner, Mike Stephens, made it crystal clear that he was on vacation and that he wasn't in the least bit concerned about my party. I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully, especially someone I was PAYING. He was yelling at me and told me that he wasn't concerned about my "little party." After multiple phone calls from guests not being able to make it due to blocked interstates and roads we had no choice but to cancel. I told Elette that I was so disappointed with how everything went down. During the next week or so the owner refused to issue me a refund. I was left with no other choice but to plan another shower at this despicable location. I then planned the shower for September 11th. When I arrived it looked like Elette just threw the place together. Not only were table clothes and chair covers were extremely wrinkled, but there was glass on the bathroom floor and hair and dirt in the bathroom sink. When I originally booked this facility Elette was supposed to be my "go-to" person about certain matters during the shower. Elette obviously decided starring at the walls in the back room was more important than my shower because she was no where to be found. I asked to speak with her at the end of the shower since most of our guests stated they couldn't make the shower we were FORCED to reschedule. I was hoping this facility would at LEAST have the integrity to refund a portion of the open bar that we purchased because only 10-15 were able to come and we purchased an open bar for 50 people. Elette told me that she wouldn't issue a refund and when I asked to speak with the owner I guess he had conveniently stepped out. I know this is a long post, but I felt the obligation to warn those who were planning to book ANYTHING at this facility. The one thing about event planning is that you must be able to handle all types of things that could occur. The owner and Elette lack both the insight and foresight to handle anything with event planning. Save your money, time, and blood pressure. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS LOCATION. Events are supposed to be fun and all they managed to do was upset everyone in our wedding party. They also own Park 73 so I would steer clear from that location as well. However if you would like to pay a lot of money TO someone who yells at YOU over the phone if any small thing occurs FOR a party planner that you can't depend on this is the location for you. Everything about the wedding ceremony and reception was great. Our guests raved about the food and service. Brittany was the coordinator and she did a spectacular job at decorating and managing the flow of our big day. However, I paid for 50 people. The maximum possible of people that would attend was 61-62. The night before the wedding we had extremely bad weather and many of my guests were unable to attend due to flooding or fear of driving the road. It was a total of 10 people who did not attend, so I expected 52 and having to pay for a few extra guests. Suddenly, after people start leaving I get the total that I have to pay almost 700 for "11 extra people." We are honest people, and I can guarantee you that the security officer counted incorrectly on his clicker. How could 61 people be in attendance when I had 10 people tell me they couldn't come? My DJ said he counted 52 (which was what I expected) and when he walked outside, he saw the cop sleeping in his unit. we spoke to the cop, and he was very smug and I told him how I felt. But I paid because there's no way to prove how many people were there. But needless to say we were beyond upset at the unfairness. They gave us a lame excuse "not everyone RSVP's" um no. Everyone that was there RSVP'd and I was able to say so because I had such a small wedding. Nice place, and I liked that they pretty much do everything for you which makes it easier, but keep this in mind for when you book your wedding.

Everything the others have said about Elette and her staff was all true for us as well. She takes personable care at the meetings before the event. That goes a long way to making the evening so very special. Elette went out of her way to be sure our somewhat odd requests were met. Once we reached the reception hall, we all relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. The smallest details were taken care of, as well as the delicious food and gorgeous decor specific to our tastes.
