First visit . Have heard from many I had to try. First off I only tried the soups so can only review based on them. For me the chicken noodle was blah and lacked seasoning needed to make it worth 10.99 a quart. Wasn’t terrible but didn’t have the wow factor. Beef and vegetables soup was better and had more flavor. Overall a good option but a bit pricey for quality i received!

Morris has a long time tradition of fantastic food and customer service. Their deli sandwiches are fresh, hand cut and delicious. The soups, sweets and sides are all equally great. Their friendly attitudes only make for an even greater place to go for a bite to eat. My wife and I love Morris Deli and will always be customers of theirs.

Rude and ignorant staff. I purchased a sandwich there and the cashier said, "Thanks beautiful." I told the manager it was offensive and objectifying and he told me I should'nt go back if I didn't like it. Seriously? I'll just go to the subway across the street from now on and pay half the price, and not have to deal with creepy old men with hand tattoos hitting on me.

I had been driving past Morris Deli for years, always meaning to stop in. I finally did and did not regret it. All of the meats and cheeses are sliced to order and they have quite the selection to build your sandwich. They also have several soups and cold salads to choose from. The prices are also beyond reasonable. I just stopped in for the first time last week and have already revisited, twice. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Let me tell you a story. I went here with my fiancé and he got a ham and onion sandwich (pictured) while I got a smoked turkey with bacon sandwich. He accidentally ate mine and I was like, bruh, how the heck did you manage to eat my sandwich?? Does he just not taste food? All I know is that I was telling our friends that my guy is a goon because I definitely had the better sandwich. Morris has delicious smoked turkey. Honestly everything is delicious. The ham sandwich he crafted was good, the potato salad was amazing. But don't you ever just really look forward to a particular food item and if something goes wrong it's really sad? Don't be like me. Be vigilant. Get what you want and don't let it out of your sight

I used to get Morris' deli at least once a week about 10 years ago when I worked close by in the Highland's. The sandwiches were piled high with deliciousness, and 1 sandwich was 2 days worth of lunch. I recently bragged to my boyfriend from California, that Morris' was the best. I fully get that it had been some time since I'd been there, and things change, costs and what-not. But, with a deli that seems to be as successful as this one you would think that tradition and quality would stay true. I have to say I was disappointed that I told him it was the best in town, and sadly, do not think I'll return. There just was not a lot to the sandwich I ordered, and the bread was dry and stale. The portion size is what drew me to this place along with the German potato salad, (which was still the same and good as always,) but there are far better delis in Louisville now that continue to impress with portion and quality.

Words cannot describe my love for Morris Deli!!! Not only are they a great place to stop in for a delicious lunch (everything they have is so delicious) but their catering services are out of the world. They recently catered my wedding and they exceeded all expectations. From the first time we met them at the tasting (which Cindy prepared so many delicious items for) to the time the wedding was over, and all the coordination in between- they were simply amazing. They are fast to respond to any emails/phone calls, they work with you to provide ANYTHING you could possibly want, and they are very reasonably priced-especially compared to the other caterers in Louisville that we checked out. Cindy and Joe are just amazing people and we loved working with them every step of the way. The whole staff- waiters and bartenders- at the wedding were absolutely wonderful! They were so friendly and professional, quick to make drinks, they served myself and the groom our meals at the table so tHat we did not have to get up, and one cocktail waitress even walked all the way to the garden area where we were taking family photos to offer us appetizers. Phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and book them for your next catering event! We are very grateful for all their hard work!

I accept the explanation of food regulations. I had not been aware of them, though I had never previously been called out on that basis. The products carried and made by Morris' Deli have been widely appreciated. Their reputation precedes them. I have raised my rating to Five stars. Thank you for caring. ---------------------------------------------------------- Original rating, which was 3 stars: For what it's worth: Yes, I'm aware that almost all the previous ratings sing the praises of Morris's Deli. Why this this rating is lower: Some years ago I had become a new "regular", now and then coming in to buy a pack or three of Father's Country Ham, after learning that Morris's was/is a local source for this wonderful ham. After a lapse of a couple months I went in, turned right and entered the cold room as I had originally been invited to do and had always done to make my selection of prepackaged Father's Country Ham. To my surprise an employee burst into the room and shouted, "Just what the hell do you think you're doing in here!?" Following a failed attempt to protest, he was still belligerent, so I walked in front of him without further talk to exit the cold room, turned and left the building and never went back. That crude treatment cost them my business. At that time there was no way to easily leave a public record of their behavior. Not so today. I have only cut them to three stars, because in all fairness, their food and products were always good and after after all these years I would like to consider a return, but not until I get an explanation of how to pick out and purchase packs of Father's Country Ham without getting my ass chewed by a rude employee, or by a nice one, for that matter.

First trip to Louisville and saw this place was recommended by Southern Living. We decided to give it a shot, despite the hole-in-the-wall vibes, and it did NOT disappoint! I had a delicious BBQ chicken sandwich and my friend had the turkey sandwich and potato salad (which she said was amazing). It was pretty busy at lunchtime and a little confusing to figure out how the ordering/payment process worked, but the staff was friendly, helpful and quick. Great experience.

All of their empoyess treated my bride, myself, and our gust with the upmost respect! I cant begin to describe how flavorful and superb the food was! People say that you dont get to enjoy a meal at your own wedding but I did! THE BEST deli in the city, BY FAR! Their ham is incredible and their pimento cheese is simply the most delicious I have ever had. I used to make my own as a tradition on Master's Weekend but after tasting theirs I don't even bother because my attempts don't come close. They have some unique potato chip and soda options too. Just be careful, you can go in there for one or two things and come out $50 poorer pretty easily because you just keep finding delicious things.
