REVIEWS OF Mayan Cafe IN Kentucky

Timothy Carleton

Good food but tiny portions and high prices.

Marion Calabro

Went here for a family celebration and everything exceeded expectations. We started with the guacamole and chips, the roasted corn added an awesome flavor. I had the vegetarian burrito which was delicious and filling. The blood organge margarita was a perfect compliment to the meal and I would definitely recommend anyone stopping in to try it. Service is also fantastic, courteous, and friendly. A must stop in Louisville for food.

I ate at this restaurant the month it opened, some 20 years ago. It was a favorite then, and it's a favorite now. But it's come a long, long way since those humble beginnings. I think it's hopscotched around the block on Market Street into a modestly sized restaurant, but reasonably proportioned from a kitchen point of view. The dining room is well appointed but still casual in a way. They say the blood orange margarita is a house specialty, and four sidewalk tables make for a warm summer cocktail hour. This block of Market has diagonal parking so it's set back from the traffic a bit. I had a kale salad and the scallop ceviche. My friend had the empanadas and the lamb mole. The kale salad was better than expected, had a slightly sweet dressing with quinoa, radishes and jicama. It also had feta but not the dry Greek style, this was creamy like goat cheese. The ceviche appetizer rounded out a good meal for me. It was delicious in its own right, but I could tell from the spicyness and the acidity that it wanted for a glass of wine. I got a glass of the sparkling Malbec rose and it really made this dish next-level. The pairing was amazing, it almost masked the stronger flavors in the ceviche and brought out all the undertones. Friend from New Mexico thought the empanadas were tasty but, what was the word ... I think it was 'gummy.' The lamb mole was as good as anticipated and the bar was set high. Mayan Cafe has kicked it up a few notches since they first landed in Louisville but they haven't lost that original desire for hospitality. Sometimes, especially in the restaurant business, I like to say "success is a leading cause of failure," but that is not the case here.

Alex Emerick

The chef is a master at blending flavors and making amazingly creative delicious dishes

Rebecca Lucero

At first, I was disappointed this establishment does not serve coke products but then I was overcome by the immersive experience of the Mayan cafe. As I purveyed the patrons of this restaurant, I realized I was among the bourgeois class of Louisville. My husband ordered the enchiladas that were smothered in an earthy pumpkin sauce that he described as “Bitchin’.” I ordered something akin to tacos but tasted like the Mayan Gods had made my meal themselves. Please, do yourself a favor and dine with Louisville’s finest! Then get yourself a soda from a nearby gas station.

C. Cameron Collins

My wife and I came here for our first wedding anniversary and really enjoyed it. The flavors were unique and amazing and you can tell that everything is incredibly fresh. The restaurant was cozy and we really enjoyed ourselves!

Arthur Keating

Quite unexpected! Really liked the food and service. Can't wait to try their vfood truck.

Suranga Hettiarachchi

Tasty, appetizers were appealing but the entrée was not presented well. Felt like it was done in a hurry. Regardless, food taste great. Service was great.

Jerimy Tate

East Market staple for a decade. Food is top notch and Chef Bruce is an all-star.

Lauren Johnson

Lovely ambience, delicious food, yummy champagne, attentive service. Great celebratory dinner with a friend.

Fawxy Ladie

Food was so good! All the food was locally grown. Make sure to order guacamole! Also don't forget to order the organic drink for the day.

Brenda M Tucker

Lima beans to die for or at least to eat as often as possible. Incredible food, great service, warm atmosphere. Truly worth a visit; try the Mayan salad--yummmm!

Hal Anthony

Always exceeds expectations Great staff & location Very satisfying vegetarian selections

Mersiha Dautovic

Amazing food and great service!!

Taylor Jones

Wow! What a creative culinary experience. The guacamole with fire-roasted corn and lima beans with... well, a mind blowing combination of tasty herbs and Mexican seasoning were the perfect combination to my local bourbon. Great staff. The clean, upscale vibe really made for a great dining experience.

Jill Lowry

Knowledgeable server + fast service + unique dishes + great flavors = perfect lunch spot!!

Will Conniff

Had an excellent salmon dish and wonderful steak and shrimp entree. Personal service from the chef/owner.

Russ Broomell

A perfect choice if you are looking for something a little bit out of the ordinary. The staff really helps you pick a dish, and they know about everything they serve. I have never had a bad experience here. Highly recommend for lunch with a friend or business associate, and not bad at all if you’re alone. If you come during warm weather, it’s quite nice to sit outside by the sidewalk. Highly recommended!

Anton Vysoven

Excellent service. Very good food for reasonable prices. Extremely busy even on a Monday night. Booking recommended.

Joel Kotarski

Every time we've visited this place we've enjoyed the atmosphere and food, so just stopping by to drop some well deserved stars.

Josh Ragan

Food was delicious. Drinks were on point. What more can your ask for?

Austin Gibbs

Definitely one my new favorite spots with only one visit! Came for lunch and the salbutes were on point. Its kind of like an arepa except instead of stuffing it, the filling is placed on top. I ordered a mayan mocha and thought it was alright. I wish they spinkled more of the chocolate/spice mix over the top, personal prefernce though. We didnt have time to eat dessert but their dessert menu looked great. Ill definitely be back for their bread pudding! I like the vibe of the place and its located in a fabulous hip place in downtown Louisville (NuLu). As soon as you leave you can walk to Please and Thank You for one of thier crazy rich chocolate chip cookies. Or walk across the street and visit a number of clothing/art boutiques or go visit the novel plant store. So many fun things to do around NuLu! Definitely check out the Mayan Cafe if you're in the mood for something different and really good!

Brenda V

Not sure why I ordered the burger at a Latin restaurant but I'm so excited I did. Top 3 burgers I've ever had, and that's a lot of burgers. I picked off my friends dishes and they were so well executed and flavorful, I can't to go back to Kentucky and eat there again.

Jean Friedberg

Our favorite Louisville restaurant. Perfection in simplicity.

B Revels

One of our all time favorite restaurants in Louisville.

Anne Roberts

We all enjoyed the fantastic food served here. The flavors are familiar but also very exotic and interesting. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient and the server had good knowledge of the menu. We were there during the week and the restaurant was full, so be sure to make a reservation. We only saw street parking.

Andrew Newell

This place was great. They gave us free Lima beans for checking in on Yelp and they were sweet and zesty, very good. It was kind of loud inside, I think they had set up some kind of sounds absorbers on the ceiling so I think they're doing as much as they can to reduce the noise. We liked that we could reserve a table ahead of time. The food was really good. My fiance had a veggie enchilada that she enjoyed and I had this thing that started with a P and there was a z in there somewhere. It had pork in it and a fried egg on top and it was really really good.

Jon McCarron

Upscale Latin and Mexican. Guac and chips were good. I appreciate the small focused menu. As great as the shredded beef burrito with mole was, I would have killed for a salsa. Something bright and acidic to contrast the heavy flavor profile of the mole. Other than that, the burrito was excellent. Notes of nutmeg or cinnamon, I couldn't decide which. Reasonably priced.

Dan Walbridge

Got lost while driving around in circles in Louisville, and found ourselves looking at this cafe with bright green umbrellas as we drove by it for the second time. "We're stopping", I declared, and boy are we glad we did. It was a nice day and we sat outside, and I had the Tacos of the Day, which were chicken cooked in a mole sauce. Most excellent, I must say. Check this place out.

Peter

Arrived around 1PM on a Wednesday to have the hostess inform me and my fiancee that there was about a half hour wait. I knew at that point we were in for a treat, mid day during the week and the place is packed?? Oh, how right I was. To start, we both got the salbutes (roasted pork x2, cactus, shredded rabbit, black bean, and smoked salmon) which came with a jalapeno sauce. We shared them all with each other and there wasn't a bad option. Being full, but not to the point of discomfort yet, we decided to get the churros. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Amazing sugar and cinnamon crispy outside with a warm middle. And the dulce de leche it came with should be packaged and sold separately; it was so delicious. Special shout-out to the wait staff here; they were very attentive and were 100% on our order. Reservations are recommended here, but if you're patient, you'll be rewarded with amazing food.

tim helfrich

We've been coming to Bruce's restaurants for over 20 years, and it is always outstanding

Joe Carlson

Great find! I was staying on market street and discovered this gem in Louisville! Amazing unique combinations of flavors with drink pairings.

Doug Yeager

Some out of town guests that travel a lot asked to go somewhere "local", and their response? Perfect. You cannot go wrong with this menu. (I am trying to link Maya-Kentucky as local here)

Megan Rice

The food here is incredible and the owner is so incredibly nice. Nulu is an awesome neighborhood you have to stop in here when you're in town!

Sally Weidner

Food always fantastic. Went to try the Jan/Feb special Monday risotto and rum special. It was very very good!

Alex Cross

Wonderful Latin food! The cocktails were delicious. I personally enjoyed the rabbit and the pork burrito. The bread pudding and chocolate cake was delicious as well. The ambiance was pleasant and suitable for a romantic evening.

Will Roberts

Always the best food.

Justin Garrett

Service was fantastic, the braised beef and mole was delicious and filling

tim harris

Had the taco special and juice of the day. Quite delish.

Corry Manderson

This is quite a restaurant. Incredible flavors, reasonable price. Service was somewhat on the slow side but not offensively so. Louisville has an astounding food scene, and this establishment certainly keeps pace with the high standard.

Dan Dearman

The food was fantastic, and following up with a mayan mocha is highly recommended. I suggest reservations as this is a cozy spot and can get crowded quickly. Also top shelf cocktails and libations.

Tori Daniels

One of our favorite places to eat. The food is always excellent, the service is wonderful and attentive, and it is just a great experience. We recently had dinner here for our anniversary and it was an awesome evening as always. There are good options for all dietary restrictions - I am vegan but my husband isn't (he tries to stay away from gluten, however, but splurges when we are out to eat) - we each got a starter, meal, and dessert that fit our needs, and everything was delicious! Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free options for all! Definitely visit the Mayan if you want to have an amazing and one-of-a-kind experience!

Angela Weathers

Great menu variety crowded hard to navigate

Jourdan Travers

Or family would HAPPILY drive the 1.5 hours it takes to get to Louisville from our home to eat here again. Fantastic service coupled with delicious food. I highly recommend the Black Bean Cakes, Duck, Ceviche (careful, it's spicy), and the flan!

Katlyn E McGraw

Food is always really fresh and really tasty. Get the Lima beans!

Tasciana Kowalski

My husband and I shared the scallop ceviche and pork tacos that were the special. Everything was very good and I would come here again!

Hap Fiandt

One of my favorites. Rabbit with mole was very good (could have been chicken thighs for cheaper, but the flavor was great). The veg burrito with egg on top (optional) is really nice. The tok-sel lima beans are great ("I don't like lima beans, but these are great"--says everyone).

Gladys Carpenter

I ate at the restaurant a couple of years ago and loved it. This time I had a sandwich box from a lunch they catered at the office. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft inside with shredded chicken, black bean spread and I what I think to be thinley sliced turnips. It was so different and delicious. The box lunch also had a small salad with a light dressing, fruit and maybe yuca slices to include a light pastry with fruit filling. It was all a nice surprise. I recommend defiitley trying this resteraunt out.

Marianne Stuck

Great food. Allergen menu is awesome. wish every restaurant would have one of this! Great service! Totally recommend it

Fatty Addy

If you want to eat cheap this is not for you, but if you want something unique, savory, and balanced this is for you.

Shida Beals

Everything is fresh! Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back

Kevin Davis

Amazing flavors and unique items definitely a one-of-a-kind restaurant

Isaac Santos

Food was delicious and service was excelente... Taco of the Day

Sam Phillips

My friend took me here saying it is one of his favorite places in Louisville KY. It lived up to the hyoe. I was really pleased. The ceviche was great the empanadas delicious. Really everything I tasted I would order again. A unique region of Mexican cuisine I have never tasted before

Ben Keeton

What more can I say... hands down one of the best restaurants in Louisville. Take a big group so you can try everything.

Adam Hall

Mayan Cafe is one of the best restaurants in Louisville. The flavors are always fresh and the food is always delicious. The line beans are amazing! The atmosphere is quant and homey. Service is excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great meal and a great experience.

Matthew Davidson

Top notch food and great atmosphere.

Jamie S

We were driving in from Cincinnati and they were very accommodating with a few last minute reservation changes. Everyone we encounter was welcoming and friendly. Our server, Tyler (I hope I got that right) was fantastic! I cannot rave about the food enough. I had the Mayan Burger as my entree and it was full of flavor and the burger was really lean and cooked to perfection! The side of fried plantains were beautifully prepared. A friend recommended I try the Tok-Sel Lima Beans and they did not disappoint! The Guacamole was delicious! But now for the star of the show..... The Scallop Ceviche! WOW! I was a little hesitant when I first went to try it, but the flavor is so clean and bright, really a perfectly executed dish! This dinner really enhanced a special evening! Thank you for a great dinner! I can't wait to travel back and try some of the other menu items!

Amanda Ayala

The chicken was delicious and the mojito was awesome. Everyone talked about the Lima beans and they were good just not as awesome as I expected.

A B

Although it was a little warm in house. Everything was excellent from the service to my lamb main entree, and the bread pudding with spectacular, let's not forget about the pineapple gelato,.

Andy Pruitt

Excellent high end Mexican. Cochinita Pibil was excellent, rabbit was very good. Small dining room. Think Rick Bayless, not taqueria. Very pleased to have made the stop on a drive through Louisville.

Eric Gross

The food was great, but unfortunately I was by myself so only got to try one dish. I went with the salmon in huitlacoche (corn mushroom) sauce. It was great. If I'm ever in Louisville again I'll definitely go back.

John Holliday

Great food and drinks. Service was super slow though.

Gary Richardson

Excellent food. Flavorful and unique

Danny Bradberry

We showed up with no reservations. The lady was extremely polite when she told us she could not seat us until 9 (2 hrs). We left... Before we got to our car, the same lady chased us down the side walk to let us know something had opened up... Besides that awesome initiative - service was great and reasonably fast. The food....... One if the best meals I have EVER had in a restaurant.

Greg Bennett

Excellent, but small sized food

Majed T

Great atmosphere. That is all Ate with my two boys 6 & 8. Service was amazing until food arrived. Also depends on waitress you get. The male waitter was amazing the older female was not as friendly. After food arrived never followed up to see how food was. The Mayan burger was extremely salty. My kids both struggled to eat it. Couldn't finish it! which is did ask if we wanted to Desert we said no but she still give us the menus. That was kind of rude to ignore us and just give us the menus. The washroom was dirty and had a flickering light which was annoying. Not a bad place, just over priced for the quality and service.

Thom Mak

Super creative and innovative food. Nice service. So glad we stumbled upon this little gem. If you’ve not been, go!

Krakes Garrick

Excellent, elevated Latin cuisine

Kelly

I was really excited to find a healthy farm to table restaurant on my trip to Louisville. However, I was quite disappointed in what I ordered. I had the Mayan burger, the taste and texture of the meat was just weird. It was like no other grass fed beef I've ever had, kind of tasted processed. The fried plantains were way over ripe and mushy. I definitely do not recommend that meal. I did receive good service though.

Julie Durham

Blood orange margarita was fantastic! Enjoyable space. Great lunch tacos!

Yodit Dori

Great food, wonderful service all around

J. Victor Ryckman

This is a must for adventures in food. They have a little something that will make your palate celebrate. Salsa always a must. They were celebrating the Lima Bean, wow, sesame oil lime grilled brown on an open grill. Oh my I've Never had better Lima Beans! Check the hrs out. We were to early at first day so we just came back the next day on time.

Dek Gaming

Really good food

Madhav (Mo) Ghanta

amazing Mexican / Mayan cuisine! I had takeout on my short visit to Louisville but the place was very lively when I came to pick up. awesome cactus salad and black rice and beans sides.

Anthony Pinto

Great Find! My friends who I travelled with are gluten free and vegetarian and Mayan Cafe had a great selection of food to accomodate them. The April sweet potato themed appitizer was very tastey and the gluten free empanadas were amazing. The pork dish was tender and flavorful. Highly recommend if they have it available that night. Great intimate atmosphere as well. Get a reservation to ensure you get a spot. I thought the temperature was a little on the cold end inside, but not too obnoxious.

Rich Holsworth

Great food service and reasonable prices. Really great food.

Patrice Branstetter

Fresh food made to perfection. My favorite in the city.

Wolf Revels

Fantastic food, and great service in a cozy environment. My wife and I have been going here a few times a year since they first opened. We have never once been dissatisfied

Charles Abbott

Food was good and flavorful. Service was ok, they didn't knock it out of the park. Ran out of ice tea but was a very pleasant atmosphere.

Danny Carballo

The food is delightful. Great flavors paired with beautiful plating. Would especially recommend lunch for a less crowded experience.

Angela Carraro

Amazing food, great service and great value

Allan

Was a good experience.

SureshKumar Varadarajan

Great Latin American Food, that we’ve enjoyed. Everything that we’ve tried here is good, and it’s in a small romantic setting. Appetizers were better than main course. If you are looking for a date night near downtown, just go here.

Adam Trontz

Excellent service, the food looks fantastic and tastes even better! A must try in Louisville. Compliments to the chef and whoever was in charge of the interior decoration. Top notch job from atmosphere to food tasting. Never had I thought pomegranates would compliment guacamole so well!

Andrea Hamblen

One of my favorite spots in Louisville. You must order the Sikil-Pak

Jessica O

We are from Canada and went to the Mayan cafe on a whim. Absolutely fantastic food. The ceviche was one of the best I've had. The daily juice and iced tea were phenomenal and my fiance loved his huevos rancheros (one of the best eggs he has eaten as well!)

Taylor B Phillips

Amazing lunch spot

Angie McFaddin

Nice outside eating area. Service was great.

Steve Loughnan

TL, DR: great place to eat contemporary Mexican food. Excellent restaurant. We had the sabadors (sic?) which change daily and were excellent. For mains, the cod was really well spiced and came with a delicious rice side and the mixed tortilla stew (yeah I forgot the name) was also delicious. Spice levels spot on. Definitely a place to visit.

Steve Matheis

Excellent food and service.

Stephen Bradburn

Ok... This place is amazing. First class on food & service!

Jose Israel Soto Conejo

Amazing taste! A place to be considered to visit and enjoy!!

Steve Colopy

Great drinks and amazing food. I can remember what we ordered but we had three apatizers and four meals between us and nothing but praise.

Constanza Barnier

Met all of our expectations! Beautiful quiet setting with candle lights and natural light from the front windows. Service was quite pleasant and prompt. Great restaurant for pescatarians too!. If you're craving mexican food but feel that you have tried the same stuff all the time, just come here and be delighted by their menu. Appetizers feel like a main dish, for those who eat just enough.

blake minnerly

Very fresh, flavorful Latin fusion dishes, made with locally sourced organic ingedients

Enma Inés Domínguez Suárez

Loved the placed again. I went long time ago when I wasn’t vegan and now the 31st of December. They have amazing food for everybody. The vegan chocolate cake with avocado mousse was delicious and the pumpkin seeds deep as well.

Coreen Ward

Delicious food and great service!

alan coleman

This little jewel is always busy for several excellent reasons! Delicious food, excellent wait staff, fabulous drinks, & cost ambience. Fresh food choices are very fairly priced. The one thing you must have is an advance reservation because Jack Fry's is constantly booked! 5 stars for years!!!

Dennas Davis

If you’re in Louisville do not miss eating here. Spectacular food and presentation with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Tad

Slow to get drinks, appetizer with scallops great, salmon great, lamb so so.

Jim Ligon

Great service by pleasant staff. Very rich foods and a nice desert and a glass of wine made this a delightful meal for adults.

Dennis Smith

Pleasant atmosphere, good food. I was expecting Guatemalan cuisine but found southern Mexican instead...

Ellen Warner

What a fabulous place for a fresh, tasty, full of good flavor meal! We enjoyed great cocktails (Blood Orange Margarita and Fo on Fuego), salbutes (so delicious), Mayan Salad (forgettable), and Cochinita Pibil (excellent slow roasted pork). Service was outstanding.

Luis Soto

What a place! Service was amazing from the get-go! The food is by far one of the best ive had in all of my travels. A def must when in Louisville.

David Beek

Trying to be as self-sustainable as we are, the Mayan Cafe food atmosphere, and service were beyond compare! Thank you for supporting the local farmer! Of all of the places we have been this by far will be remembered for a long time! Server Kathleen is the best!

Scott T

Great flavours... interesting combinations of ingredients. Sophisticated food. Will be back.

Jess Lee

Fantastic food! Drinks are good, dont be disappointed however because they are very small and a little pricey. I highly reccomend the rabbit, cooked perfectly. If you find yourself in NuLu stop in for a bite, reservations are recommended.

Emgee Taute

Authentic and exquisite cuisine. Loved it!

Charles Cooper

This place has unbelievable food. And when it's warm, you can sit outside close to your girl, and fall more in love than you ever thought you could be, right here in the East market district. When you are done eating walk down to the river and kiss her on the walking bridge, but hurry up, this might all be a dream.

larry b

Wonderful food! Recommended by our friends who live in the area. Reservations only before 9:30 pm.

Jill Baker

Always amazingly good ethnic Mayan food in a lovely, friendly place.

Terri Bradburn

Can NOT say enough great things about this dining experience! They food was great beyond all expectations and our server was attentive but not hovering. If you are coming I might recommend reservations. We arrived (without reservations) …

Marla Smith

Excellent food, using local and authentic ingredients, and interesting flavors! Always wonderful service. The drinks are really good and fun as well!

Walter Koczot

Unique and tasty food, great drinks and wonderful service!

Stephanie Pace

I love that it is a farm-to-table restaurant. The food was really good and the pricing was decent for what you get. Nice time eating out on the patio. It is also a unique restaurant that I would not mind going back to. The only down side is the very limited parking and size of the restaurant is small.

Pam Ruckriegel

Always a great experience, delicious and unique food and drinks in a cozy atmosphere. The lima beans are the bomb!

Marcel Plant

The place was busy on a Wednesday night, which is a good sign. I recommend the "Don't Worry About It" bourbon cocktail. Their lima beans are famous for good reason, and the cochinito pibil was delicious. The staff were very nice to this single diner, and explained things clearly. Everyone around me seemed pleased with their experience. The Mayan is a tiny restaurant for which you definitely should make reservations. The food is full of flavor - interesting flavor - that was savored by each member of our party. It was nice to find a place with some real Mexican cuisine.

Josephine Welch

We all enjoyed the fantastic food served here. The flavors are familiar but also very exotic and interesting. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient and the server had good knowledge of the menu. …

LLD

Tacos of the day were delicious!

Megan Franzen

I can't live without the salmon here. Delicious, perfectly cooked and served atop Lima beans that are a staple here. I've had this three times and have always been happy with it.

Cassandra Hobbs

Food was fantastic, great atmosphere and service!

Kim Fillmore

Extraordinary food and ambience. I'll be going back.

Mila Pradela

As a business owner I know how important feedback is so even after several days since I went to the Mayan Cafe, I had to come here and give them my five-star review. Almost immediately after we got in they already had someone cleaning up a table for us. Then we were greeted by the amazing Claire - seeing happy people doing their jobs does make a huge difference in the experience. Thank you Claire for caring and for that great smile and energy of yours. Drinks and food were delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked. The cochinita was incredible. It’s my new favorite restaurant.

Candace Hines

Great staff, great drinks, decent food. The duck felt rushed and was not flavorful. My husband had the pork, which was wonderful. The pork came with the lime beans - I can see why those are famous! The empanadas were presented well, but not much flavor wise. I would give this place another go. It's a great place for casual dining. ** Edit: I had the rabbit, not the duck. Definitely go for the pork!

Tammy K

Excellent service, and food was delectable. It's not your cheese drenched mexican diner food. It's well crafted and made with attention to detail. Everything we had was perfectly cooked, from the rabbit to the lamb. They recommend reservations, but I and two other couples i saw were walk ins, and were seated promptly.

تامر علي

Awesome food and service!

M Reiff

One of my favorite restaurants in town. Innovative menu that treats the taste buds right.

Dennis Horn

One of my top five restaurants! Love this place.

Jael Harrington

Went there on First Friday night without a reservation and they were still able to seat us quickly despite being quite busy. The meal was wonderful, the service was attentive. Very unique flavors and I was happy to find many vegetarian options. It was a great night. I would highly recommend it. The price point was on the higher side but I think it was more than worth it. A perfect place for a nice night out.

Tre Uselton

The food blew my face off it was SO GOOD!!! I can't wait to go back. I just got to make sure and get a reservation next time.

David Crow

Excellent meal, professional service, good cocktails. Ingredients seemed top notch. Loved the mixed flavors, especially the pumpkin seed mole.

Yuliya Kravchenko

Cozy place with amazing food. Excellent! Everything so fresh and delicious. And served fast.

Nick Mattei

Some of the best food in Louisville, full stop.

Kendra Jenkins

I ate at the restaurant a couple of years ago and loved it. This time I had a sandwich box from a lunch they catered at the office. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft inside with shredded chicken, black bean spread and I what I think to be thinley sliced turnips. It was so different and delicious. The box lunch also had a small salad with a light dressing, fruit and maybe yuca slices to include a light pastry with fruit filling. It was all a nice surprise. I recommend defiitley trying this resteraunt out.

JB Fletcher

Had out of this world duck mole and lima beans.

James Muse

Friday night no reservations, was greeted positively and the most friendliest hostess advised the wait would be 45 min and she'd be with us shortly to bring libations while waiting. Her smiling face brought water and drinks and provided us a table within 15 minutes. Fantastical, wonderiffic, spectacuful waitress brought appetizers and entrees that had to be descended from culinary gods. Grouper special with mole is now my middle name. For bread pudding bread pudding bread pudding dessert bread pudding might bread pudding I bread pudding recommend bread pudding the bread pudding. You're marvelous, you know that, right?

Kerri Cokeley

Loving this month's special feature, rutabaga!

Abbey MacMillan

Everyone must get the scallop ceviche to start. We had great service as well. Highly recommend!
