We love dining at Buca Louisville. The service here is always excellent. Tonight we had Shirley, and in short she is a phenomenal server. Our cups were never empty, she anticipated our needs bringing us additional items and offering things seconds before we were about to ask for them. The meal was exceptional. Our food was served quickly and everything was delicious. The brussel sprouts in particular were delicious. The staff was friendly and gracious welcoming us as we came in. The manager, Suzannah, came and checked to make sure everything was up to our liking. To make this even better this was a celebration for my mother and she could not have been happier. We will definitely return.

My family and I ate there on Saturday night. We had a wonderful time , our waiter was Alan he was very friendly and knowledgeable and very professional . Our food was amazing as always. However we noticed that Alans larger table on the other side of us was very loud and was being very rude. We overheard them being rude to Alan and as Alan walked away we heard one of the ladies say " we about to get everything for free" and laugh about it. This honestly made us uncomfortable and I apologized to Alan later that he had to deal with people like that. It's very sad that restaurant workers have to deal with that kind of thing . We heard them say they were going to write a review so I decided I would also . People shouldn't be able to slander others just to get free food .

It had been over 10 years since my husband and I had been to Buca di Beppo. The atmosphere was very different from what I remembered it. We were there for my husband's best friend's birthday. His wife and grown children were there also. Our reservation was at 6:00 p.m and we didn't leave until 7:45 p.m. Nothing negative had kept us there, it was that we were really enjoying ourselves. The service was awesome, the food was plentiful and delicious and the atmosphere was cheerful. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time! I can't believe we hadn't been there for over 10 years. Our table was sometimes too loud, mostly with jokes and laughter. But so were the other tables around us. This is a great place to have a large get together. Oh... The drinks were delicious too!

We ate at Buca di Peppo in celebration of our 8th anniversary. My husband had Shrimp Florentine and I had Spaghetti & Meatballs. Even tho we knew one entree was more than enough for the 2 of us, we ordered separate entrees so we would have enough for my husband to take some for dinner & a snack! Patrick so enjoyed his Shrimp Florentine! The look on his face was sheer pleasure! The shrimp was fresh & done to perfection and the spinach perfectly tender. He said it was absolutely delicious and with each bite, his smile reflected that! My Spaghetti & Meatballs was just as awesome! Truly fresh marinara sauce and delicious crumbly, huge, tender & tasty meatballs! Our server, Shirley! Oh My!

It was our first time ever visiting a Buca and we had a great time overall! The waitstaff was very upbeat and attentive, and the atmosphere was fun yet very chill and casual. We ordered the appetizer trio with calamari, fried mac and cheese and fried mozzarella and it tasted fantastic. The cheesy garlic bread had way too much garlic for our liking, though, and we weren't able to eat more than 1 piece each so that felt like a waste. We ordered the quattro al forno as our main course, and it was overall pretty good. We would definitely come back, but we would change our order for next time.

Food was average. Service was good. It was even more economical than we expected with two of us leaving full with a $23 bill. We made reservations for 8:30 pm,and we only had to wait about five minutes to be seated. The staff was friendly, the food came quickly, and the restrooms were clean. All this combined with a fun authentic Italian atmosphere is the reason I easily gave it a 4 star...... No doubt I'll eat there again in the future.

Make sure you have a nice size group, and a very healthy appetite. Portion sizes are very very generous here. But you won't be disappointed, this was our first time, going here. We loved everything about the place, from the Homey decor, to the very friendly, and funny stuff . Finally to the delicious home made Italian food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

3 stars because I've always loved this place! Last experience was terrible though! We ordered a huge pan of Penne San Remo, and we all just kind of picked through it. The best way I can describe it is if you bought it from the freezer section of the grocery and nuked it! Not exactly the worst ever, but not what you expect from Buca! Maybe it was just this dish, maybe it was just the cook having a bad day... I'll never order that dish again!

Tonight we decided to get out of a rut of always going to the same places. We decide to try Buca di Beppo. Our server Sonia was awesome. She explained the HUGE portion sizes and was patience answering all of our questions about ingredients due to severe food allergies. Of course we didn't listen and ordered way too much food, and we had to top it off and try 2 desserts! My husband, daughter and I truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It was a pleasure to meet one of the partners Michael that came at the end to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will definitely be going back.

Came in at 2PM for a late lunch with the family. Took five minutes and someone I assume was an employee yelling at someone to come up to seat us. Even than it took a manager passing by to seat us as nobody ever came even with the yelling. Next, we are seated and waited over ten minutes with nobody coming to get drinks or even acknowledge we are in the restaurant. Mind you several employees walked by to the managers office by the restrooms. Eventually my wife got fed up and asked who ended up being our waiter if he could tell someone we are there. Drinks come fairly quickly and we order. Almost 30 minutes later we get food. This was not a busy time of day. In fact there was only eight other customers in the restaurant close to the bar. We get the bill. Kids meals are still on it even there is a giant sign on the restaurant stating kids eat free all summer. I look up the promo on the web site which states one free kids meals with certain purchases which we qualified for. After asking the server about it he says the sign is misleading? I further inquired and showed him the promo from the Bucca di Beppo web site. He pauses and seems baffled. States this is not what their manager was told but you know how that goes. The only reason I am giving a star at all is because the food was good. The entire experience minus the food was an utter embarrassment to the restaurant.

I order a Bianca pizza (deliciousness) on National Cheese Pizza Day online directly thru the Buca website. I was happy to choose delivery not realizing they offered that. Turns out my order was being delivered by DoorDash. Long, very comical story short, my food ended up going rogue for an hour and a half on the other end of town & when it was FINALLY delivered my pizza was missing a piece! I can’t make this stuff up. After work, I took the pizza to show them the ridiculousness hoping to get a refund & just call it a night. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a refund due to the order being handled by DoorDash (I’ll get my refund thru them), but the manager Michael apologized & gave me an entire meal TO-GO for my family to enjoy for dinner that night! It was an awful lunch experience thanks to DoorDash but Buca di Beppo did everything to make it right & made sure dinner was awesome! Thanks Manager Michael again & because of your professionalism & good-heartedness, Buca di Beppo was able to keep a loyal customer. Dinner was awesome!

The main dishes were good and the desert which we got an Italian cream cake and cheesecake were both dry. As in when you put your spoon into the cheesecake it crumbled apart. Not good. And the cream cake was basically the same.

Went for my wife’s and granddaughter’s birthdays, 7 of us in all, counting 2 toddlers. We sat at the kitchen table, which comfortably seats 6, so it was a little crowded. No worries though as our awesome waitress Shirley, and her able bodied trainee Evan, kept our table clear of used dishes, promptly prepared our leftovers to take home (no small task as we had apps, salad, three entrees, going to three different households) and led a rousing rendition of the Buca birthday song! The food was great (ordered too much but it was a celebration) but the service really stood out! We all had a blast and left in wheelbarrows LOL. Thanks Shirley for making the night great!

We have been going to Bucas on Hurstbourne for nearly a decade. We absolutely love it! The wait staff is always amazing and very friendly! The manager, Dino, is the most friendly person. My wife and I go to dinner here at minimum, every year for our anniversary. I love the food, the service is very good. Most years I do something special at dinner for my wife, I hired a singer one year( one song) , had some special scrypt that was placed before we were sat on another year, nothing elaborate. They are a great place to visit for a special occasion or just a night out. Yes, it is not the cheapest Italian around, but if you are after a good tasting food, large portions you can take home, a unique atmosphere and a good experience. This is a great place for that. Even over 14 years of going here, the experience stays the same. The staff changes but the demeanor does not which would imply that it is a company value. I will return and would recommend it to anyone.

I loved this place. It was out first time eating here so the staff offered to seat us in the kitchen. I enjoyed way hing them prepare everything and service was immediate. Our waitress was very nice as was the manager who stopped by the table. The portions are family size so a small fed my and my boyfriend twice over. It was the best meatballs I've ever eaten.

First time there, we had brussel sprouts and prosciutto for starters, it was delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. We enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs for the entree, it was good, the portions were huge. It was take home Tuesday, we got a free rigatoni to bring home and bake, how nice is that? Steven was our waiter and did an excellent job making us feel at home, just like the family atmosphere. You will not leave hungry, if you do, it's your own fault. Thanks Buca, we will definitely be back.

Dinner was good however, if your going to charge $7 to add Chicken to your pasta please add something to the chicken! No flavor or spice. Very boarding chicken, like you just opened from a can, heated & placed on pasta. You can do better!

Dinner was great, service was even better. Our pasta was absolutely magnificent and it got to our table less than 7 minutes after we ordered. Shirley our waitress was even better! Constantly checking if we needed anything while refilling water, bread and napkins. Was extremely kind and constantly had a smile on her face. Giving it a 3 to be fair. The server was nice, but the staff never showed up to light candle for my husband even though we had the hand on the table. The portion sizes were great for our family of 5 to split. But I was expecting more authentic Italian cusisine based on the description. We were also sat at the bar room with my 3 children who noticed the photos with scantilt clad and naked women (noting my 9 yeat old son pointed out the naked woman's privates in one painting) so I suggest not sitting there if you have children. These salad and bread was excellent. Generic noodles in our soaghetti and the sauce was so runny it didn't stay on the pasta. Plain grated parmesan on the table. Overall it was okay. If I go back okay if I don't no big loss.

75% of the food was not good, either flavorless or undercooked. The restaurant itself is very tacky and cluttered. It looks like your drunk frat boy roommate decorated his basement with thrift store stuff. Waitress had no personality. Very disappointed with the experience, won't be coming back.

Pretty pricey and a bit inconvienent to dine at for couples since most of their dishes are intended for parties of 3 or more, but the amazing food makes it worth it. I highly recommend their meatballs.

It's decent food and the restaurant is clean. The food is not special or terribly good. The plates you eat off of are set at the table so even hot food gets cold quickly. The last time I went the waitress was very apathetic towards our table and our simple needs like silverware.

Placed an order to be delivered. Ordered a Large Italian Supreme and this is what we got... Cannot post A picture of it. A smaller Margarit pizza. Called them and the manager said, "I have no control over that." Meaning I guess the delivery service. They cannot send the right order if you order through delivery and they cannot control that??? Will not order delivery again from them then...

I had never been here before and just assumed it was another Italian restaurant, I was wrong. All of their food is served family style, meaning everything on the menu comes in large portions for 3 or more people depending the size you order. They have different sized portions for wether you have a small group or say 5 or more. It is on the pricier end, the hardest part about eating here is getting everyone to agree on a dish because there's a large menu to choose from. The food was very good and the server was very kind.

Yee, good ol' Buca Di Beppo. I have fantastic memories here. Most of them being on my friends birthdays. I love how they sing their own happy birthday song, absolutely love it. The last time I went to Buca, I ordered a pepperoni pizza, which as their food usually is, it was marvelous. Where do I get started on the atmosphere? Their whole place is filled with artwork and colorful lights. I can't recall if they had any music, but that right there would be enough to say their atmosphere was great. The service ranges from slow to average, but it's worth the wait. The food is the best. It really isn't meant to be eaten by one person, as the meal is so large you can share it with at max 4 people. I always have to get a box here too, it's unavoidable. 5/5, would eat again.
