REVIEWS OF Urban Table IN Kansas

There's not one specific thing that generated the two star rating, but a combination of small things. I want to rate this place better, but there were too many little things that just didn't add up. The menu is limited, which I know is not always a bad thing, but it's also confusing. It's a combination of Creole American and Italian. It wasn't bad, but really not great either. To me it's hard to pay $20 for a chicken anything unless it's knock your socks off good, so I had high hopes and it was good just not $20+ great. The cocktails menu was limited with the basics, but they were out of the signature gin and half the wines on the list. Again the cocktails we had were ok at best, tasted watered down, and maybe not worth the $9. The restaurant had a funny (not haha) smell that we never got used to and it was surprising that the place was empty at 6:00 pm on a Saturday night, though it did get busier later in the evening. The service was not all that good, having to ask for water refills several times and the two tickets at our table (just two couples) were messed up. Again, our waiter fixed everything right up for us and we had a decent evening. In a nut shell, I guess based on price, location, and the menu items we were expecting a bit more.

Nice place to eat and socialize

Cookie Callison

Over priced for the food. LOUD. REALLY LOUD. -1

Jaida Anderlik

Crazy prices for moderately good food. You're paying for a "modern" vibe where you are served tap water from a recycled glass bottle without ice and your check is given to you in a battered old book at the end of the meal.

Zach Rau

The ambience is very calm and relaxing. The staff was fantastic. The food was delicious. I got the Wagu Burger. It was fantastic. While they do retain certain menu items it seems as though they have a rotating menu. Keeping things fresh. I will be back again.

Mary Bunker

Everything was great the filet was just as I ordered it and they were very accommodating to get me worked in I will be back. Thank you and the chiefs players

Doug Snyder

This is what eating out is supposed to be like!!! Great service, polite and prompt. The salad was fresh and salad dressing was incredible. The grilled chicken salad sandwich was perfectly grilled and the chicken salad was amazing. I loved the touch of arugula. The fries were hot and crispy. Who could ask for anything more!!! Thanks for a wonderful meal Doug and Jackie

Cindy Kulphongpatana

Yummy food...

Carinna Parker

Great concept, poor execution!

Robert Riviere

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great appetizers. Nice many selection. Really loved the rice bowl.

Jess Harmon

we had the fish and chips and the special which was macaroni with Gorgonzola and shrimp. both were delicious. the curry aioli sauce that came with the fish was some of the best dipping sauce I've ever had. the only bad things I have to say are that it's a bit overpriced for how much food you get (the pasta bowl was tiny and it was $22) and I thought our server was rude. he fingered and leaned on our glass water bottle every time he came to our table, and also I had to ask twice for something and when he finally brought it he told us, "sorry, I have other things going on." wow...sorry to inconvenience you, sir! we spoke with the manager who was very apologetic and refunded one of our meals (even though we insisted that wasn't necessary.) I would definitely come here again, I would just be sure to not have the same server!!

Barry Rogers

Food was good Service was slow. Hostess seemed to not want us to sit outside.

Michael O

Good service and an eclectic menu. This is a foodies delight!

Amy Davis

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal at urban table! The staff was friendly and attentive; great atmosphere with an open kitchen. I got the Brussels sprouts (so crispy and perfectly seasoned) and salmon (perfectly cooked, veggies on the side were a nice balance to the fish). Highly recommended this place for some very well executed, fresh, light food!

Pahn Entrikin

Well made food and prompt service

Teresa Allen

Unique modern, twists on old standards. Fantastic sides and more veggies than a salad and potato! And brussel sprouts?! . So delicious! ! Nice, chill atmosphere. If you want a good time in a waiter, ask for Mark!

Tom Prewitt

What a disappointment. We had been meaning to try it for a while but now wished we would have waited longer. We went for lunch and there was a moderate crowd but it was so loud we could not have a conversation. Can't imagine how bad it would be on Friday or Saturday evening with a few drinks being served. Service was very good but the food was just OK. We won't plan a second visit.

Susan Brown

Great Fried Rice Bowl!

Travis Thonen

Same owner as several other restaurants around the area. You can sort of tell from the food if you eat at any of them often. But, the food is still amazing, the staff is amazing as well.

J.Robert Gately

Delightful. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Great service.

Grant Damas

Good food. Free WiFi. Awesome atmosphere. We sat in the screened in porch area which was very nice when it's hot.

Justin S

Small selection but amazing options and variety with good local ingredients.

Eric Reid

A little spendy, but if you have time to relax and enjoy it, may be worth your while. White and airy environment, friendly service. Interesting cocktails. Recommend the Urban Painkiller if you like a sweet, tropocal rum drink. The Fleur de Fizz was pretty and provided a tart and flowery, gin and prosecco diversion. The pork belly soup was tasty and novel, but pricey. The CB & Rye was a solid sammy.

G L

Tasty waffle sliders!

Phillip Ruttan

Hanger steak was great.

Lori Riedel

Excellent Goat Cheese Dip!

Collin Gross

Great food and good service. I would definitely visit again.

Meredith Keith

Updated review- Return visit was much improved, changes were clearly made. Place was clean, beer ice cold, service excellent. The bruschetta was great. The pillows were filthy, beer was close to room temp, and the biscuits were raw. The server was nice and the decor was nice...that's about it.

Janean Nadine

Great food! Our server wasn't amazing, but he tried... I hope ha ha

Alison Hoernemann

Food was okay but way overpriced

John Schnackenberg

Came here with my wife for Restaurant Week tonight. Overall, not bad, but I'm unsure if I'll visit again. The food was amazing! I had the cream of mushroom soup and my wife had the tomato basil soup. Absolutely wonderful! If you are looking for an appetizer, try the meatballs. Perfect for sharing with another. I had the Pappardelle and my wife had the Bucatini. Both were wonderful! The portion sizes are perfect. At many places, the pasta bowls are filled to the brim and you either feel guilty about eating the whole bowl or you take a large portion home for later. We both finished our bowls and had just enough room for dessert. We had the butterscotch pudding, which was a perfect ending to our meal. While the food was good, there were some issues. First, I ordered a craft root beer. I was expecting a local craft root beer from somewhere near here. What I got was a bottle labeled"Craft Root Beer," which was mass produced from U.S.Food and tasted awful. There are several excellent local craft root beer producers that I'm sure they could offer. Next, the atmosphere. The tables are packed in tight. That makes for a loud atmosphere to the point that you almost have to yell at the person sitting across from you to hear them. The tables themselves were made of metal and had a strange odor associated with them. They put paper table cloths on them, but it wasn't big enough to cover our table. Unfortunately, the smell lingered and in spite of the great food, had a negative effect on our experience. Finally, the service was not what we expected. Our waitress tonight was friendly, but more focused on talking to the table of her friends next to us. I learned more about our server's personal life than I would really like to know. She did answer our questions about everything, but then proceeded to chit chat with her friends. This is fine if they're the only other table, but this was 7PM on a Saturday night and it was busy! Overall, not too bad. The food is great, but everything else fell short of what I was expecting. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat here again, but if the weather is nice and the have the open air patio open, we might try it again.

Michael Miller

Once again an incredible dining experience. One our go to restaurants.

Kim

Not remarkable enough to make a second trip back Made a reservation and then watched as a large party with no reservation walked right in and was seated before our party of two We were then seated outside in this weird winter tented area and the generator went out so they lit a candle My drink tasted funny and the waitress offered to bring me a new one because the bar tender was new but then charged me for both drinks We won’t return

Randy Merrell

Amazing sweet potato fries and the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever eaten.

Steven Grow

My wife and I used to go here every Sunday for breakfast during the early months of Urban Table being open. It started out great, fresh food and great service. But things started to decline quickly and we stopped going there. The service was poor and the food was sub-par - not nearly as fresh anymore, orders constantly incorrect and sending food back became a common occurrence. After hearing they changed to full service, I decided to try it again with my 2 year old this morning....nothing has changed and in fact, it might be worse. With a 2 year old, common sense would be to bring a high chair or at least ask if I needed one. Not the case, I had to get it myself. Second, the service was very poor - couldn't hear him because it is "not cool" to speak up and be excited about the food you're trying to sell. Took about 15 minutes before he finally came to get my order and a food runner bought the food. He never checked on me and that would have helped considering my daughters order was wrong. And don't order side of fruit, it is four poorly sliced pieces of watermelon and two pieces of cantaloupe. I'm not in the food service industry, but at least make sure your prep team is slicing evenly sized pieces of fruit with a sharp knife, not something that looks like it was crushed and torn apart by hand. All-in-all, this place is more focused on their image rather than the two most important parts of a restaurant - the quality of the food and the service provided by the staff. DON'T EAT HERE, IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Timothy McCullough

The pork chops were overdone, but the service and atmosphere are excellent. Ask for Ethan. He is a great server.

Joshua Harrell

8/15/19 First time to this location. We were greeted with a smiling face. We got our table and Kush was our waitress. She is so nice and very knowledgeable of the menu. I told her that it was our first time in and to tell us about Urban Table and what does she recommend for lunch. She gave us just a few options not to overwhelm us. I decided to go with the Udon chicken noodles and my Partner went with the catfish. Good choice by the way Our drinking glasses never went half way and were always filled. We will definitely be back again and we recommend Urban Table. I’m sure the other staff are just as great but go see Kush. Thanks Josh H and Joey W

Keivon Liburd

Great place. Great Atmosphere. Good food.

Michael Tristanio

Good food, friendly staff. Moderate prices.

Megan Weismantel

One of my favorite lunch spots! Been here many of times, any lunch item is awesome but I LOVE their Brussel sprouts and their deviled eggs are pretty great too. Also, their brunch is great too! Get the grilled donuts!

Ashley Kuch

Fun, hip place! We went for restaurant week and was not disappointed. Definitely will return. This was the chocolate s'mores dessert.

Courtney Goodin

A little pricey for what I was getting, $15 for an udon bowl was more than I expected. It was super tasty, though. My server was adorable and alternative. I think her name was Jordan. She knew a lot about the menu and was happy to answer any questions that I had. She also helped me pick out an amazing wine (the crossings) which I ended up buying two bottles of. I would definitely come again, hopefully on a night that Jordan is working ;)

Edward Embree

Had the Texas Redfish Special, the short ribs and the hanger steak. All tremendous. All so fresh. First visit. Will return - soon.

Emily Majors

The food deserves 5 stars but man, it doesn't come cheap or even affordable to those of us who aren't used to spending $15-$20 per plate for lunch. But that said, I love celebrating special occasions here. The chicken pot pie meal and the chicken salad are DELICIOUS.

scar zaq

Great atmosphere. Excellent food. Wonderful wait staff.

Mandy Greenwald

The salad line too way to long, but the food was great!

Levon Pogosov

Overpriced. Not impressed. Bought a kale ceaser salad with salmon and it was $20! I was expecting the best salad that Ive ever had and it was bullshit. Tiny piece of salmon, dry kale. Cost them $2 to make that salad im sure. Never going there again. So many better choices around.

Robert Pfromm

Great menu, try the pork belly bowl.

Nancy Nikkel

First time at Urban Table for my husband and myself had Sunday brunch. We didn't have reservations so we waited maybe 40 mins. The food was amazing. Will definitely make another trip to KC to have brunch. But this time making reservations.

Davin Petersen

Wasnt expecting to find a restaurant like this outside Portland/seattle. Was a nice find. Highly recommended.

Len Harvey

Average food, very loud and busy.

Kate Nell

Great place for brunch!

Echo Lauer

Been multiple times and the service and food were great as always.

Paula Updike

Great brunch

Robert Haake

Fantastic service and food!

Mona Bowman

Did. Not enjoy food...and was noisy

Jessy Moore

Overpriced and service was not that great either.

Rebecca Davis

The biscuits and gravy aren't like they are where I'm from, BUT I get them EVERY TIME I come here. It's so gorgeous in its little skillet with gravy. The coffee here is also delicious. Be careful though, after about 2 cups I get a migraine because of the level of caffeine in there! I'll throw up a picture of the biscuits and gravy. Something I didn't realize is, they only have brunch on the weekend. Try it out on Saturday at about 2pm. You'll have a glorious time.

Jeanette Clement

Overall Urban Table has an amazing atmosphere and sweet details that make it unique in the food world. The drinks were great and my "Jax" salad was good but not amazing. The kitchen forgot my shrimp and when it arrived it had no flavor only char. The table next to me had the artichoke fritters and thought they were to die for. I would come back just maybe not order the shrimp!

Ruthanne Garcia

A little pricey plates but delicious. New spins on old favorites. Caveman chicken was great

Jake Aspinwall

The new menu is really great. I'd give you 5 stars if you offered more vegetarian/vegan options and if you could serve a drink during brunch in under 15 minutes.

Joe Reece

Good inventive food too pricey for small servings

Shane Bernard

Food was great, service was great. But I hated the restrooms. They only have 1big room where males and females share. Won't be back for that reason.

Lillian Mihal

Tasty food, nice environment.

Dan Messina

My bride and I dined here for lunch today. The food was good, the server (Lewis) was attentive and it was nice enough to sit outside. I struggled with the star rating but what kept this down from the 5th star was this: my wife asked for the remaining half of her sandwich to be boxed - also on her plate was a nearly complete order of sweet potato fries. Our server came back with a small box with the half sandwich sans the sweet potato fries. What a waste of good food and irritating. Good food though.

Mike Harmon

great food, very accommodating for my daughter in laws food allergies

Elite Spellcaster

Went in for lunch today for a quick bite. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder. Chowder shows up but no crackers. Enquire about crackers and this place it too fancy for crackers. Only option was to order bread, and guess what it was five dollars for six slices of bread. 15 dollars for a bowl of chowder an iced tea and bread made of gold. Last visit. Bartender was awesome however.

Jane Truitt

The food was great and the half price wine is a good deal. The service was also very good. Everyone who works there has a smile and a friendly word. We will be back for sure.

Matthew Hunnicutt

Did the restaurant week dinner for my wife and I. Have managed a lot of restaurants and kitchens, so I was slightly blown away by the dish I was served. $33 a person makes me think that at the very least, vegetables will be cooked properly and not cold in the center, extra crunchy and very much so not Al dente at all. Ordered the beer cheese soup, which is when I learned the hot well's are obviously not hot, or are burning up. The soup was cold and tasted literally like melted cheddar. I would encourage the sous chef or executive chef to go try beer cheese soup anywhere else and then come back and try their own. I went with a party of several people for my mother's birthday. We all waited an extra 15 minutes after our food was delivered for the two people that didn't get theirs, to be given their food. Then we all began eating. I ordered the caveman chicken, my wife and I split the s'mores dessert. A s'mores dessert is very overplayed and not special in one single way. I know this is not a mega nice restaurant but with me layout, design and menu prices, I assumed there would be some innovative or creative dishes. Applebee's used to serve their s'mores dessert the same way this restaurant does, which should be discouraging for the kitchen staff. I'm giving this restaurant two stars because it appeared to be clean in the bathrooms and around the restaurant, outside of that I was very underwhelmed and feel very taken advantage of with the menu and menu prices. My previous mentor used to tell me that you should never mess up a meal on special days, holidays or birthdays. I mean you should never mess one up in general but if you're going to mess one up at all, make sure and don't do it on any of those days. It was restaurant week and I was served cold food, overplayed entree ideas and walked out spending $100 for something I only ate 1/4 of. Dinner service was extremely slow, which is what gave it away I was about to be disappointed. Hire a new kitchen manager and/or Executive Chef, the execution was atrocious. Good luck in the future.

Chris Madrigal

Great atmosphere

Simulated Fish

Hard pass unless you need to impress your Instagram followers.

Kevin Knudson

Great food, service could of been better. We ate a late lunch, he seemed more focused on getting his side work done. Over all it was fine. Just had to ask other server's for help twice. Nice place.

Peter Frey

Good salad.

lee tukcer

Food and service are fantastic. Great atmosphere

Robert Kochen

Food was good although the portions seemed a little small for the prices. Bar was apparently missing a manager according to the server resulting in a limited menu. Strange...

Sara Sharp

Have eaten here a couple times now. Always worth the wait since the food is amazing. Service is always prompt and polite. Came today for there Easter brunch and even when there busy there service is the same.

Victor Lamento

Food is so fresh and has amazing flavor. Farm to table concept along with excellent service. Thank you Andy

Amanda Bridges

We love Urban Table! Great place to brunch with girlfriends or have family dinner nights!

Erinn Roos

We went here for a birthday lunch and had great service and great food. We will definitely be back again for more then just special occasions.

Dave Rombeck

We sprung a large party on them for lunch that kept changing size. They were extremely acommodating and helpful. Food was very good and I look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

Derek Van Dyke

Ordered a salad with salmon and a moscow mule. That was the worst piece of salmon I have ever had. It tasted less than fresh. The moscow mule sadly had no ginger beer so I basically was drinking a vodka soda. Very disappointed. Bathroom was strange. Combined men's and women's restroom is weird.

Tiffany

Enjoyed the atmosphere. Seems to be a good place to go out with friends. Friendly staff. Food was great. I had a sandwich and sweet potato fries and enjoyed every bite. Everything was done well. I would go back.

Patti Greenbaum

We thought we would give it another try since it had been a while, and we still regret the decision. We brought our daughter and ordered her the spaghetti and meatball and asked for milk as our drink. It turns out, soda is the only option for the beverage for the kids meal, and milk is not one of the options so you wind up paying extra for it, so it winds up being close to $10 for a 1 meatball and spaghetti. Our bruschetta was fine. The rice bowl did not warn of the spice and was a small portion as well. We used to come regularly and they would leave a bottle of water at the table for us, however this has changed. We struggled to have our water refilled, and there were flies around us where we were. All and all, we will most likely not be going back.

Trich Schultz

Great Happy Hour!

Shelby Thomas

Pricey for what you get, but the food can be good and worth the extra scratch if you're forced to find a decent meal in the Corinth area.

Frank Drake

Very disappointed with this restaurant! The food was terrible and the menu had very strange items to chose. Also very high prices on the food!

Brian Buie

Glorified and overpriced fast food. The format of ordering from a large menu up front isn't "cool" or "chic". It's a pain. Also beware, they don't carry everything they have on their website, and they don't bother updating their site to reflect their actual menu. I'm never going back.

Mark Huffhines

Very tasty brunch menu. Good service. My only complaint would be that the food could have been a bit warmer when served.

Steve Shelton

The food was great and our server, Mark, was incredible.

Cali O

Fabulous Food and service! Wonderful gluten free choices

Brent Castagno

Walking in noticed the outside dining all the outside flower planters half dead from no water"" thought that doesn't look good "" ordered a salad bowl was hot lettuce was warm and chicken was dry "" my lady friend ordered salmon said it was good"" server was polite and attentive ""

Grecia Meiners

I love try different restaurants but this time sadly i expect something better for the prices and new menu .

Grant Nelson

It's a regular dining spot for us. Pretty hip place in Prairie Village with an eclectic menu. I almost always have the Chicken Udon and the wife almost always has the Napa Salad. They get 4 stars instead of 5 because they ALWAYS forget my request for the rice noodles in my Udon. LOL

Michael Black

Friendly service and 99% great food! The gentleman who is the manager is over-the-top nice. It's the kind of nice you think is fake, but the dude is honestly just that nice. We had some salmon that was just a bit over and when he came around to check on us we said so, not to complain or anything, just to let him know to keep an eye on quality as food comes out. Man - that dude was off! He re-fired the salmon and struck it from our bill and tried to give us free dessert even though we were stuffed. I have no fear of going there and getting stuck with something sub-par because I know that guy won't let it happen. Kudos to him. To the owners: keep that guy! Four stars because the drinks are always weeeeeaaaaaakkkk. They have been for a long time. They obviously have a VERY tight leash on the bar because it's darned near impossible to get a stout drink there. I get it - the bar can cost a place a fortune with heavy pours - but for the price of the drinks I expect a bit of a punch. We love this place and it will continue to be a regular for us. We'll just keep having a cocktail or two before we come :-)

Thor Tallmon

amazing food. awesome brunch. great staff.

Acer Vlogs

The servers are very nice but the food was burnt and gross i had a hair in my piece of pizza

Sonja Stoskopf

Always good

Cristen Juanitas

Great portions, and good service the kids menu is a nice plus I would recommend this restaurant only down side was the cocktail...yuck!

Oats !

This place was super excelent! The Udon was absolutely top-notch!

Tia Rutledge

Brunch here is great! They have little waffles that are just prefect!

Wayne Hackworth

I went to visit a friend here and we went to look out for a nice place to eat. Landed at Urban Table which has a nice atmosphere. Food was great. Excellent wine!

Amber shobe

This is my new favorite restaurant! I love that they have so many organic options and the food tastes amazing!

Dan Saale

Tuesday "Date Night" SPECIAL was very deceiving. The special pricing for small plates (must order 4) was the same price as if ordering individually off the menu. We asked for clarification from server on "per person" charge and were told just one of us could order the special. Based upon that response, we also ordered a separate entree. When the bill came, we were EACH charged for the price of the "SPECIAL" as well as the other entree. We attempted to discuss this misunderstanding further with the server, but English was his 2nd language so we had very limited success in doing so. We'll likely scratch Urban Table off of our list of dinner options.

Deen Murad

Complement to the chef. Very tasty. Now the chair i sat on different story. :(

Irina Gromova

Just to show you a portion of my French toasts)) lol I was impressed. Now I remember this place very well. We ate there twice while in Kansas. And we definitely will be back.

Holland G Humphrey

It was very good. Nice ambience too. I will definitely go back.

Scotty Collier

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was even better!

Brigid Greene

The concept of this place is fantastic.

Clifton Willis

We've been here a couple of times. The first time was nice, something new, and the food was good. The second time the menu just didn't seem very diverse. I want to say they have a seasonal menu, but I can't remember. Anyway, the second time we came the food wasn't all that good and it's a little pricey. I would say it's worth coming to at least once so you can decide if you like it or not. I don't think we'd come back.

Eric Brunner

Stopped in with my family for a quick bite and had the deviled eggs, bruschetta, and a spicy udon noodle soup with pork belly. All were excellent and reasonably priced for high end casual dining. Great place to bring a group for the typical happy hour, small plates, drinks, etc. They have a ton of seating both inside and on their enclosed porch. Definitely on the list for the next time I'm in KC

Savage

Usually ain't that busy but a great place to grab a bit. Would recommend.

Lisa O'Toole

Wonderful Valentine's dinner with hubby!

Martez Pinkard

Great Food & Presentation

Mike Metcalf

Went for Easter brunch. The food was good overall. Server was attentive and nice. The brunch price was $22 for two courses, which I think is a bit pricey for the food we got. We made reservations but there were empty tables. Had the deviled eggs with salmon as the first course and biscuits and gravy with eggs as the main. Deviled eggs were average. The menu used the plural for "eggs" with the biscuits and gravy but there was only one egg so was disappointed with that and it was a touch overcooked. The pastries in the bread basket were very good, however.

Travis Stoner

very good lunch menu

Michael Fink

We were waited on promptly. The portion sizes were great.

Craig Williams

Best salad I ever had

Robert Paulson

Tried brunch on a Sunday. Food was cool to the touch, buiscuits were stale, french toast was soggy, and everything else was bland. The family and I will not be back as there are much better options in the area.

Mike Doyle

Love the food

Deborah Anderson

The food was fabulous. The service was awesome our first visit, but not as engaging this visit.

Mick Ruel

Great food. Service was tough but it was New Years Eve to their defense.

Rachel Hack Merlo

My husband and I enjoyed a nice Restaurant Week dinner on a Thursday evening. The food and ambiance onwere four stars but our server, Ashley, nudged my overall review to to five. Personable and prompt, she seemed like she enjoyed her work which made us enjoy being at Urban Table even more... The marinara sauce on the chicken parmesan is the real deal!

Kimberly Kiernan

Ate here at the end of a girls trip to see a friend. We had inadvertently ate at two other Bread and Butter concepts, and figured we’d try one more. This one was very good but not our fave of the three we visited. While the cocktails were far from bad, I had my least favorites of the trip here, but I didn’t exactly leave anything in the glass either.

Diane McLendon

Food is always amazing. The service is hit or miss, but the food is the reason to go there! Delicious!!

Zach Maggiorotto

Have had great experiences at Urban Table and will definitely be back again!

Anna Hockey

Service was a little slow but waiter brought extra fries to say sorry. My buffalo chicken sandwich wasn't the best but my husband's steak was delicious

Ferg Van Hoy

Wow! This place is delicious. The bar staff is amazing. The batender, J.P., made my night! The drinks are the best. I had the best sazerac I have ever had. The vegetarian and gluten free options are great, and it's close to everything. Great spot, chill music, comfortable ambiance, and top-notch servers who are not scared to go the extra mile, or customize your meal. Healthy and delish. Ask to be on the mailing list

Lakresha Stewart

Very nice atmosphere, laid back, and different from your normal eat out restaurant. Sitting at the table booth was so relaxing up against the soft decorative pillows. The chicken and waffles with butter sarachi sauce was scrumptious. It was so much I couldn't eat it all. A Must Try Restaurant and Meal especially during Brunch!!!

Rick Sams

I've never had a thing here I didn't love. Many locally sourced options. The pork chop is a revelation. The deep fried prime rib is also one of my favorites. But the Brussels sprouts, by far, are the best thing on the menu. The vibe is cool and communal. The service is friendly and just casual enough to make you feel like you're eating at a friend's house. Overall, one of my favorite places to eat in Prairie Village.

Denise Mitchell

Only eaten here once but really enjoyed it. It's a little pricey but the food options are things you wouldn't find just anywhere. Definitely has a healthy vibe to it.

Gabe Worthy

Really good food good beer service was alright but it did take some time to fill our drinks and get food

R Hicks

Great food prepared quickly with knowledgeable, friendly staff.

Ronnie Raney

Nice atmosphere, if not exceedingly SUB-urban. I would try it again. My dish came with "fried" eggs. The server asked how I wanted them and I said "Fried, over-hard". The eggs could not have been more over-easy when I got them. The portion size was not worth the cost. I ordered fries to go with them and they were delicious, but they came out a while after the other food. All in all -okay - but not 4 or 5 star okay.

Andrew Kesel

Food was great, but service was very slow.

Madeline Hollenbeck

This is our favorite "go to" for date night or for large family gatherings. Best drinks in town. The specials are amazing, and the hamburger tops all others in town! Unbelievable! The atmosphere has so improved since opening. Much cozier, nice service at your table. Seriously great food and times! Paula Hollenbeck

Kea Wormsley

Great service! Friendly staff! Great gluten-free options!

Pete Reeves

Limited amount of Irish Whiskey at the bar and a bit pricey. Also saw many hipsters here, FYI.

Alexis Ballentine

The lamb chops were excellent. Our server was a total delight. One of my favorite places! Thank you for the birthday bottle of wine. They even autographed it!

Craig Wooldridge

Very tasty food for lunch. Nice clean place and our waiter very helpful and prompt. Worth a repeat visit.

m.l. kramer

Hostess sized us up and acted as though we were in the wrong place. Food was ok service was great. Fruit added to childs plate was touched by the hostess...

Dave Walters

slow, inattentive service even though they weren't busy. The food is always good.

linda c

very nice and great food

Spencer Lutes

Great healthy food and a wonderful staff!

I've been coming here since they opened. Their food has always been good but the current menu is the best yet. Nice, upscale casual place. Good drinks and food.

Ryan Summers

Lots of interesting breakfast choices, but their simple sausage and eggs was still excellent!

Jack Sippel

We had a big group and the service was good. Nice variety.

We really, really wanted to like it here, but we really, really didn’t. Slower than molasses service began our evening. A half poured beer we had to pay full price for was next. Our Brussels sprouts never came. They charged us for our child’s sprite...that was supposed to come with her meal. Oh & the food...mediocre at best. My gnocchi was barely lukewarm and gummy. The burgers were dry and tasteless. Our custard from Sheridan’s on the way home was the best part of the evening.

Didn't even get to try the food. Poor service. Took way too long for our server to realize we were seated. Our server came up and immediately apologized for the wait. We placed our drink order and after waiting almost as long as it took us to be greeted we walked out.

If you happen to visit this location. If you as well happen to have a run in with management as well, allow me to forewarn you. I believe the gentlemans name is Jason Musik, as one of the serves let me know. In all my days I have never came across such a misogynist, and bigoted individual as such. Now this isn't just from his interaction with me. This is is from the experience of watching it right in front of me. I was dining and sitting as table as another waitress was inappropriately groped by the other guest and she took her concern to management. Thus being Jason, unfortunately he did nothing to resolve the issue. Now let's get back to my own individual interaction. He responded and acted in the least professional way and I am highly offended by his very sterotypical comments. My food has obviously had a problem, including hair in it. I wasn't trying to get our entire meal comp, I actually wanted to try something else, but that's not option. I quote "Your kind is always looking for some type of handouts" as he utterd walking away. Now allow me to give my background. I am a avid food critic, and have had many kinds of experiences within this industry. So I do understand you won't always have the most positive experience, but in my long eight years of doing this, this is by far the absolute worst. Mainly due to Jason. I urge that corporate take a long thorough investigation, as my server infomed me of plenty of negative things that take place behind the scene. If you decided to still go to this place. I urge you take care of their serves from my understanding, they are put through quite hell from management. If you do value your money, save your time, effort, and energy and skip this place. Absolutely horrible managmanet.

Really good quality food, and very affordable on a night where you want something outside the mainstream

Visited during restaurant week, appreciated the value and atmosphere. However I did not like how my trout was prepared, and the broccoli was a little burnt.

Tony 10020

You got to try their bloody Mary's.

Food is good. Atmosphere is good. Prices are a bit high. Friendly staff. Good for groups.

Toast....a.k.a. "Grilled Crusty Bread and Olive Oil" for $4.5. This is the kind of "toast" that you throw away at home because you burnt it. But here it is "Grilled" which also means tastes like a burnt grill. Dessert consisted of a Chocolate Torte and a Honey Apple Cake. Both were forgettable. On the plus side, the staff was friendly enough and it was a nice atmosphere. Those two things won't make up for the miserable dining experience. Based on this group owning BRGR down the sidewalk, I was very disappointed. Walk past Urban Table and stop at BRGR.

Good food. Steak had a little burnt crust but flavor was good. Service a little slow. But all in all a great meal.

Melissa Reed

Great go-to brunch spot.
