REVIEWS OF Succotash IN Kansas

Zane Kennedy

Great staff and fantastic food. Vegan sink and pancakes is the way to go!

Veronica Medina

This place was delicious and love their variety on the menu. Will definitely be stopping by every visit I make to Kansas City.

Allison B

Very nice! They accommodated a large group of us and really helped us to get some nice brunch

Jim Roscoe

Lots of potential, how food can come out so quick, but also be served cold(corn beef hash, etc) bewilders me.

Zakk Youman

Great place. Awesome food. Nice bathrooms. Hip environment. They wouldn't let me bring my lizard in which that kinda sucks because he doesn't like being left in the car. but overall a great experience.

sean humble

Worth the wait, this place was great!

Zach Underwood

Food was awesome! It reminds me of Cafe Berlin in Columbia, one of my favorite restaurants when I used to live there. The service, though - the hostess seated us with the knowledge that our full group had not arrived (my sister is notoriously late to everything) and the waitress was rude to us about it. However once everyone showed up she seemed fine. I would give it another chance because I wanted to eat everything on the menu. And the wait wasn't bad, either.

gavin hanson

Awesome service. Vegan options

Anthony Caligiuri

Fun place. Wish they had some booze. Food is always good and service always great. The little Richard is awesome.

Kim Simon

Fun little place. Good breakfast at a reasonable price. Service was good. Parking was ok for a Saturday but it might be tough during the week.

Melissa Seaver

My favorite place to take out of town guests. I love succotash and always recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's a bit noisy with all the people sometimes so if you don't like noisy places, avoid it. Otherwise, I think you'll love it!

Robert Hanschu

Great selection. Ended up going with the kitchen sink. The home fries and sausage gravy are very good.

Kristen Caldwell

Great service, great food and love the art work. It's hard going out to eat and finding a meal (other than a salad) without animal protein. For me it's not a life style choice, it's an autoimmune issue. They knew their ingredients and made sure what I was ordering would be safe. That really made me feel they went above and beyond! I went with the Elvis french toast with bananas almond butter. It was amazing!! Extra points for them having paper straws! Thank you for caring about our planet.

Alicia Floyd

Love! Both breakfast and lunch are amazing here!

James Dir

Friendly staff. Not a big fan of the menu, but they are happy to make substitutions.

Derek Humlicek

Really busy, but not unexpected. Our server was really helpful. The food was all really good, though I would order the beef hash instead of the pork hash.

Michael Aguilar

Inexpensive, great food, and good size portions. Very laid back ambiance. Expect a little wait, but it is so worth it!! Won't disappoint.

Christina Cox

This is the coolest place around! Grrreat food, cool staff, fun atmosphere and bitchin' 80's tunes that no one was ashamed to dance to! The pancake burrito was amaze-balls and killer french toast too. This is a really cool place. GO HERE!!

terri miller

Great food and fun surroundings. Get there early or prepare to wait - and it IS worth the wait!!

Christopher Bower

I usually go here with my friends for some dine-outs and parties. Every time the place and its staff treats us so well that the San Pedro Square Market Bar is the first place that comes to our mind when we have to decide the venue for our parties. Everyone at this place is so cheerful.

Joseph Manzanares

I like the concept of mostly local products. Vegetarians mecca.

Shelly Santee

Always fresh, always delicious! I’ve never had a bad meal here. Staff is friendly and you feel taken care of. Peachy Swedes are a favorite, along with any of their fresh juices!

Cortney Ikpe

Lots of vegan options and fresh juices! Our food was so delicious (Vegan Kitchen sink and vegan pancakes) and the service was also amazing, super cool vibe inside. Highly recommend.

Hannah DeLee

Fun little hipster brunch spot! Amazing food and great service! They have a unique menu so if you are adventurous this is your place!

Blake Smethers

Great food and service. The space is somewhat small for what seems like a very good place to eat brunch. However, the time to wait is worth it, as is the delicious coffee.

Austin Mertz

I went with a group of 6 on a Thursday morning. There was no wait, which was nice, and the blueberry pancakes were amazing! The service, however, was not. We waited over a half hour after we ordered our food and when it finally came out, mine was cold around the outside. I had one of the hash plates and it was pretty good, but cold food is never a win. They remade it and said sorry, but that still doesn't make up for having to wait twice for your food, especially on a weekday.

Daniel Cowan

Great food and friendly staff, worth the wait in line!

Mandi Oberle

The place was quirky and cute. The staff were great. My only complaint is that my food was cold.

Jia Li

Fun modern hip spot. Very fun atmosphere and graffiti and art. Good food with a few foodie type offerings. Food: I tried the pigs in a blanket and enjoyed it. The crepes were alright but the sausages were great. I don't know the name but they offered a sage latte which was a bit too odd for what I was looking for but delicious nonetheless. Would love to try again, they were quite busy for brunch so expect a wait.

Tim Little

Oh my goodness. So delicious. Please go. Great service, amazing food, wonderful vibe. Very accepting. Love this spot!

Dave Kitchens

I went to Succotash for breakfast with some friends recently for the first time since I was in college over 10 years ago. I honestly had forgotten about it because I live on the Kansas side. It was fabulous. Make sure to plan ahead, because it is a small-ish dining room and very popular. They will not seat anyone until the whole party has arrived, which I think is a great policy and keeps people accountable. I had the kitchen sink and it was a great mix of potatoes, eggs, peppers, gravy, and more. I attached pics of the other food people ate, but I can only speak to the quality of my meal. Granted, everyone seemed satisfied. I will be adding this to my regular brunch rotation once again.

colby benham

Lots of food choices. Everything I had was exceptional. Pancakes are excellent and best I've had in a while.

Auyon Mukharji

Excellent! Service and food were both great.

Abbey Hubbell

Where to begin??? We are from out of town and picked this place totally randomly and we are SO glad we did! There was a small wait but they have a great app to track where you are in line so we were always in the know. Once we got seated the service was speedy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the southwest sink, a pancake to share, a BYO burrito, an omelet, and the kitchen sink and everyone was very pleased with their choices! The pancakes are the size of a LARGE plate so one was enough to share between four people. The coffee is so great and the prices are wonderful for the area. I will definitely be back next time i am in the area. If you are looking for brunch, choose this place. You will not regret it!

Samantha Hogan

From the Rosemary caramel latte to the pancake burrito everything was outstanding! The fun eclectic decor just adds to the charm! If you're in the Kansas City area you must check this place out!!!

Van Games

Fabulous breakfast. Quick, no frills service- just what I like. Delicious tasty food (the chorizo bowl was gr8), good portions, good prices, a fun and unique atmosphere. Definitely a crowd there, so the earlier the better.

Diana Royalty

Awesome food, fun atmosphere, great service.

Michelle Amos

Great vegan options and wonderful service. Will visit again when I'm in KC.

Kate Reed

Good food with a couple build your own options with plenty of ingredients to choose from. Lattes were good but not great. Atmosphere of the place was artistic and progressive.

Kayla Dunn

We almost didn't go because of the poor reviews but SO glad we did! I got the vegan sink and he got the southwest sink, a TON of food and we both cleared our plate and left super full. Lots of flavor and fresh. We were also seated right away and Missy our server was so friendly and accommodating.

Joel Bennett

The food and coffee was good, but the service could've been better. The server was not very attentive, but it seemed like a busy morning and they could've been a bit understaffed for it. Definitely a cool spot though

Alex Riester

Great local breakfast joint. I came here after a run with a buddy. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette. It was excellent. i think it had mushrooms in there too. We got there right at 8 and there wasn't a wait. On a Saturday. Maybe it was just my appetite, but man it was good. The Rye toast was really good also. And the potatoes. I could have ordered two helpings of the potatoes they were so good. The service was decent. The waiter was a little weird, but what he lacked in people skills he made up for in always filling up coffee cup, checking in on us and serving us well. I also like the full coffee bar in there. Weird to say, but the restroom is big and spacious and comfortable. That's a big plus in the number 2 realm.

Bethany Price

This place has the best pancake I've ever eaten. Easily. I'm going to crave it constantly until my next trip to KC.

Robert Windler

This place is colorful place with great food.

Christopher Hintch

Quirky atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and a delicious menu with a lot of variety!

Brian Rode

Great food quality with great prices, mixed with a nice atmosphere, excellent menu, gluten free options and the locals were there.

Josiah Phillips

Great food. Good service. Small tables.

Brian Beland

We've been here a few times and have always had a great meal. Today we sat at the bar and enjoyed a conversation with the barista Christian. What a great guy and great breakfast. One of the reasons we moved downtown was because of restaurants and people like we found today at Succotash.

Tiff Any

Succotash is one of my absolute favorites in KC. I bring every single out of town guest here. I love the eggs Benedict and IMO the best I've had in KC. I'm open to be proven wrong in that. I also love the peach crepes. The espresso drinks are sooooo good. The juices are freshly juiced upon order. Really weird atmosphere but I love it.

Donn Breshears

Great food, great service. Tables are a bit crowded

Rebecca Yang

Unlike any place I’ve ever been! Delicious delicious delicious food! Super upbeat atmosphere, very popular, and interesting menu choices! Several gluten free options too!

Shamus Burns

Quirky community foodie type place with interesting menu and excellent food. Coffee was good as well.

Claire Treadwell

I got the Maggie Cristo, loved it! But I always think I lucked out and had the best thing on the menu. Boyfriends meal consisted of cold crispy bacon and lack luster B&G. I liked the rustic style potato side but it wasn't executed well, being it was mostly potato skins. This place was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and really just okay.

Caleb Hudson

Amazing atmosphere and food. Wanted to try the sumo but knew I couldn't finish so they made me a "mini sumo". Absolutely delishes. Recommend to anyone

Rachelle Matthews

Good food, but wait line is long & make you wait outside in rain-no covered areas. There’s other places just as good that can accommodate those on waitlist. Skip it unless it’s a perfect day and you are without your elderly family.

Emily Braun

Great food, fun atmosphere, worth the wait. I usually get the kitchen sink- everything you want for brunch in one delicious pile.

Ashlee Anonymous

One of my favorite brunch places. The veggie kitchen sink is wonderful, and most of the staff is friendly. My kids love that they have fresh pressed juices as well. I would recommend this place to any foodie!

F Ford

Food was awesome! Service, just alright. But, the restrooms were filthy. Both were designated as either/or... yet, one of them had the toilet seat braced up in such a way that it couldn’t be lowered. And, there was feces on the bowl edge.

Jay Kelner

Cheap healthy eats. Small space, kind of loud. There is an enormous painting on the wall of a woman letting tomato soup drool out of her mouth back into her bowl. It is nauseating and is the only reason I would not return to this restaurant. Our waiter, Christian, was great.

Anna Rugama

Such an amazing cute place. Libby served us and was so kind. The food is lovely and almost every dish can be made vegan. They’re so kind and caring. We’ll be coming back!

Roslinde Rivera

Waited an hour only to be told that their system wasn’t working and they and texted us... yet we received no text. Service was average and the atmosphere was very unwelcoming. The food was the most disappointing. Nothing special about this place at all.

Andrew Smith

Great little hole in the wall breakfast joint! We'll be back (again)!

John Loftus

The food and service was great.

Harry Mehlman

Three stars for food. I had a very tasty, if rather light roast beef sandwich. One star for atmosphere. We might have stayed for dessert if it weren't for the offensive signage that some proceeds go to far left hate organizations. Ironic that the owners go for an extreme left-wing vibe, even hiring pierced and unkempt tatted-up help while laughing all the way to the bank with their capitalist business model. We paid $35 for a small omelet and a small roast beef sandwich. This business would not survive in a down economy nor would it have ever existed under the statist ideals they pretend to endorse. We're always happy to support local small businesses, but everything about the atmosphere here oozes hatred for entrepreneurs and free markets. I understand it's just a gimmick, but it's very unpleasant. Keep your politics out of your food.

Humble NKc

Long wait for a reason, worth it! First time here. Great service great food! We'll be back.

Kristi Sisk

Awesome gluten free banana pancakes. They also have plain and blueberry. Also they have gluten free bread.

Nicole Pitts

Extremely poor service. In there for 1 and 1/2 hours. Dry potatoes, over cooked eggs. Sat and waited for drink. Sat and waited for check. Will not be back

Chase Nelson

Great place for brunch. I stopped in and had a few things off the menu. Everything I had was decent and the price point wasn't high.

Rechelle Morris

Really fun eclectic place for breakfast/brunch! We arrived upon opening but it did get quite busy by the time we were leaving. The food was superb, along with a juiced drink. The bacon was perfect!

Jonathan Arndt

Consistently great food with a unique vibe. Easygoing and friendly staff make this a staple amongst my favorite breakfast and brunch restaurants. Gluten Free menu options aren’t just an afterthought, they are delicious!

Joseph Schaefer

Awesome breakfast. Good cold brew.

John Micheau

Waitress was great! Morrell Benedict was delicious! Probably the least friendly hostess I've ever met.

Fernando Alfonso, III

Great brunch food. Service can be spotty during the weekend but that's expected.

Ashleyanne Cracchiolo

Too weird of an atmosphere for me. :/ Didn't feel comfortable here. I ended up not eating because my friend and I felt so uncomfortable. Just honestly too weird.

Samy Mousa

Best brunch 5 ever.

Debbie Craven

Their French toast is to die for and the fresh apple juice is like no other.

Katelynn Ralston

Whew. The food is SO good here! Love the art and atmosphere. I went on a Friday morning and the place already had a wait list. Very impressive! I ordered the Kitchen Sink and it did not disappoint. I also got a juice, the Cubano, and it was refreshing and flavorful. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Loren Shanks

Disappointed that they upcharge for real syrup, and some of the staff are just a little too weird for me first thing in the morning. Food was good, but not a cozy and safe environment for breakfast with my kids.

Meghan Schoen

Came here for breakfast while we were in KC and it was terrible. In fact, we ended up leaving without eating at the restaurant after sending back our pancakes twice because they weren’t at all cooked. But don’t worry, after all that they still charged us for our juices. Really terrible experience.

Amanda W

Make sure you have everyone in your party, or you can't be seated! The tables are in little rows like a cafeteria, but don't let that fool you. The food is delicious. They also have a wide range of options for allergy-restricted diets.

Jeremy Lindsey

Service was amazing, food was great. I wish there was a little more space for waiting. The Southwest kitchen sink was delicious.

Abigail Sizemore

Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Truly an artsy unique hidden gem. Delicious vegan friendly eating options but if you're not vegan don't worry there's plenty for you too. I had the cubano juice and it was made in house, extremely refreshing. The portion sizes are nice, really getting the most bang for your buck. Would 100% recommend, definitely going back soon !

Derek Van Dyke

Busy place when they open so you know it's good! Special was a morel mushroom omelette. Il this place is worth the wait!

Taylor Knievel

Bomb food. Cool decorations. Nice staff.

Darcus Marzett

I loved my lingonberry crepes, but my eggs were served cold..I would still go back

Elle Bea

My husband and I came here on our fist anniversary trip to KC. We went t succotash for brekky, and we walked in the rain a mile to get there. I had the corned beef hash and my hubs had the omelette. It was ok, but great for our whole 30 adventures.

Sean G

We finally came when the lines were reasonable, and we were pretty happy with the results. We started with coffee (Oddly Correct, great choice!), a latte (had to get two it was so good), and two juices. The Cubano juice drink was our biggest disappointment of the meal: WAY too much tart lime flavor and no pineapple flavor at all. Mr Green Jeans, in the other hand, was perfection. You could not get a better mix of refreshing flavors. For breakfast with our large group, we got a large sampling of things. I got a create-your-own omelette with chorizo, peppers, and Gouda. The mix had the right amount of had, though I'm not sure if it was from the chorizo or the peppers. There could have been more Gouda as I didn't really taste it much, and it wasn't melted inside. I love Gouda, but I haven't had it on an omelette before. I'm not convinced after the meal if Gouda's a good cheese for omelettes or not. The omelette was good, but I highly prefer super cheesy omelettes. The surprise of my dish were the home fries. Home fries are the cubed potato pieces, fried or baked. These were ripped up potatoes, grilled just right. Super crispy. These are really the only type of potatoes I want for breakfast again. Absolutely delicious. Finally, I got the biscuit and a side of gravy. The gravy was tasty, but I didn't care for the biscuit at all. It was like... sourdough? If it paired perfectly with the gravy, I would be fine with that. But it really didn't. The pancakes were great. Not the best in town, but definitely top 5, maybe top 3. The maple syrup is a must, so get that. The table syrup was generic and almost mistakenly made me downgrade the pancakes. The blueberry pancakes are the best, and THEY are the best in town. For my tastes, they had just the right amount of blueberries. The crepes were great. My wife loved them. I don't care about crepes, so I trust her. The eggs are really good. They're clearly high quality eggs. The bacon is similarly high quality and perfectly cooked. The sausage was underwhelming to me, but fine. Last thing to mention: those pancakes are huge, and portion sizes overall were massive. There were 4 adults and 3 kids, and we took home 5 large boxes of leftovers. Overall, there are a ton of interesting things on the menu, what we got was very good, and I really want to go back and try a lot of other things (corned beef hash, burrito of love, French toast and the Monte Cristo). But the Cubano juice, the lack of a cheesier omelette, and the biscuits made this a 4-star experience rather than a 5-star. If you go, get coffee (cotton candy cappuccino is on the list for next time!), Dr Green Jeans, home fries, bacon, blueberry pancakes, and some eggs, and you won't be disappointed!

David Kroeger

Classic local Kansas City breakfast and lunch spot that has stood the test of time. Unique menu, with a lot of scratch made and locally sourced ingredients. Always a good place to people watch. An eclectic blend of people an art gives the place a nice energy.

I love this neighborhood treasure! Great food and atmosphere! The coffee is from "Oddly Correct". Strong and tasty! Excellent and friendly staff and service! Very worth the wait!

Andrew Riesman

The service here is absolutely horrible. I went in with 2 friends and from the start it was bad. We asked our server about specials and was told to look at the board which was on the other side of the room. After that our drinks took about 15 min to make it too our table, not sure if the bartender was stoned or just lazy but moved at a snails pace. Afterwards one of our entrees came out incorrect and the server couldn’t remember what we had (very minimal modifiers). Food was cold and again our server was nowhere to be seen, we were able to finally flag down another server to get our check so we could get out of there. Still left a tip because I do work in the industry. The management needs to take a serious look at there guest relations and their waitstaff. Until major changes happen I won’t be back and can’t recommend it to anyone.

Lauren Tilley

Man, I’m so torn with this place. The first time I visited it was so good, but our most recent visit was just ok. The staff was great, but we did have to wait a bit to get served (no big, they were super busy so it’s understandable). When we got our food it was cold. I get this happens sometimes too, and we weren’t super upset about it, it just could have been better. We’d probably try it again, just at a time when they aren’t so busy.

Nancy Benton

Interesting decor and staff. Food was delicious, quick service, large portions

James Roan

Good service and friendly staff. Hearty portion on both our sandwiches for lunch. I had the Cuban which was one of the best I've had in Kansas City while my wife had the wine braised pot roast sandwich. Both were served with home fries which were underwhelming in flavor and could've been much crisper. The sandwiches were what shined, next time I'd get a different side. Definitely worth checking out if in the area

Lawrence Lee

WOW! This neighborhood was creative, crafty, and delicious. The inside did not match what I mentally was expecting to walk into. The space is huge and full or decorative decor. Every person that step inside was greeted and sat quickly. I don't think anyone went without being serviced within a couple minutes of being sat down. So the menu is huge and can be a bit overwhelming. But I ended up ordering the Cubano drink, and the Burrito of Love. The Cubano drink was an infusion of Pineapple juice, Cucumber, Orange juice, lime, and mint. I was taken back on my initial taste. You could taste everything especially the cucumber and citrusy flavors of the pineapple or orange juice. Overall it tasted good and was really refreshing. The Burrito of Love surprisingly was delicious. I usually like to save my pancakes for last but in this case it was paired with everything. The ingredients in the were scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar cheese. The eggs were cook hard, just how I like them. The bacon thick but was a little on the tougher side. Still good. The cheddar cheese wasn't too much but was noticeably there in certain bites. It was more then enough for one person. I couldn't finish it all. Definitely a fan of this dish. The price for everything was about $18 which isn't bad for the craftiness of everything. I most definitely will be coming back to try another dish here. Highly encourage others to come check out this eclectic little restaurant .

Jan McNeely

Food is locally sourced and so fresh! Our waitress was amazing and the food was beyond excellent! The vanilla latte was a really nice touch as well!

Nichole Nay

I loved this place. The atmosphere was great. Good coffee. The food was awesome but could have used a little more flavor. My husband got the pigs in a blanket and it was just missing something like blueberries in the crepes or a compote.

bmcbjr .

WARNING DON’T TRUST SUCCOTASH SERVERS if you have dietary restrictions. Was 1/4 done with my “create my own” vegan scramble at Succotash when I found sausage in it. I DIDN’T ORDER SAUSAGE As they don’t offer vegan sausage. Manager investigates and finds out it’s not meat sausage but still has dairy in it. NEVER been there before WILL NEVER RETURN. Be warned, the server was a white female in her 50’s about 5’4 lots of ink. She admitted she entered it wrong in the system NOT the kitchens fault.

Mark Drake

Great Place! Wonderful, delicious food!

Conrad Parker

Good food. Good price

Jeanine Deichler

Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious. My in-laws even liked it, and they tend to stick to chain restaurants. Lol. Only issue was that there was no jam with my Monte Cristo. I'd definitely recommend.

Godwin Iloka

Nice eclectic spot, good food, cool people!!

Brianna Schumacher

I’ve lived as far as the west coast and have never experienced brunch quite like Succotash. The service is always amazing with unique personalities I adore. Not only is the food and service on parr, but the progressive values are a huge perk creating a really accepting atmosphere. There’s a reason you wait an hour to be seated and it’s because it’s worth the wait.

Blake Buthod

Cool atmosphere and good food (plenty of veg and vegan options). Pretty busy place since it's on the smaller side, so get there early or expect a short wait. They do have a digital waiting list so you can go other places and see where you are on the list at all times. Wish other places had that!

Crystal White

From quirky decor to delicious, inventive takes on classic fare, Succotash does not disappoint! Their gluten free blueberry pancakes were absolutely fantastic! For a Saturday morning during peak brunch hours, service was efficient and food and drinks were plentiful! Would definitely visit again!

Rich Fraser

I visit every time I am in town. I love the vibe of this place and the food is great!

Ryan Wallace

Talented chefs at this joint. Portions are big and the food, though a bit trendy, is fantastic. Staff is friendly and attentive. Example: At my last visit I requested an Arnold Palmer with my lunch. The server informed me that they didn't have any lemonade to make one. When I offered to order something else, she encouraged me to keep the order and they would make it work. They literally made lemonade on the spot for my drink that ended up being one of the best AP's I've ever had. Give this place a shot. It's great!

Celeste Lupercio

One of my fave places for breakfast/brunch. Love the menu, the vibe of this place. Desserts are crazy!

Michelle Callahan

Great local and fresh eats!

Cameron Younglove

Fresh OJ is

Bailey Carter

Love the atmosphere and the Eggs Benedict!

Angela De

Too high, very common food. Would only go back for the cake!

Bradley Stoltz

Good food with a good vibe.

Jonathan Meyer

This place while very busy was very excellent, hence the business I suppose. Great coffee and breakfast with lots of vegetarian/vegan options. We’ve recommended it to several of our friends who love breakfast. I’m sure we will be back in the near future.

debra freeman

Breakfast and service are outstanding.

Daniel Sucher

Good food but slow service.

Micah

Decent coffee. Foods good. Nice customer service.

Chentell Shannon

Took my little sister here to show her the best of Kansas City. We loved our time and our server! So warm, inviting, and down to earth. Atmosphere was so fun. The food was so good. Thank you.

Siena Youngblood

This is a really cool place, and the food is so delicious. I had the farmstand with the blueberry pancake. The home fries are amazing, and the pancake was bigger than the plate and so tasty. The staff was so friendly and conversational. I loved the vibe and the interior design. I will definitely come back here next time I’m in Kansas City.

Elizabeth Turk

Food was decent, typical dinner fare. I would not go out of my way, as parking is a little crazy during the week. Good for people watching and def a hipster vibe. The staff is extremely nice.

Joey Wood

Great breakfast place. Great atmosphere. Fun menu. "Dessert breakfast burrito"? Yes, please!

Kendric Beachey

Such a cute place with such imaginative and delicious choices. Vegan recipes here are outside the normal box too!

TerriLynn Miller

This was a fun and delicious find. The menu has something for everyone and they put their own spin on things. The crowd there was mostly young adults. It was nice to see groups of people sharing tables as well as the "soda-shop" type bar that is perfect for those eating alone. Will definitely return.

Anthony Taylor

They have great juices just in case you went a tad too hard the night before. Every plate that came to our table was picture perfect. I just wish we had time to take pictures of the food before we dug in. If the food and drinks were not reason enough to visit, make sure you go for the art.

stirling McKenzie

Very much improved since my last visit. Super nice staff ! I should have gotten an juice

Maciej Novak

Awesome food and friendly staff, a hidden gem in KC.

Carie LeValley

Gluten free pancakes were good.

Katelyn White

Eclectic decor. Delicious food. Huuuuge pancakes that are incredible.

Sarah Robinson

Always a great experience

We came in from out of town for brunch last weekend and I came because I saw online it had gluten free options. But the service was absolutely terrible. We were greeted with a matrodi who told us there would be a wait and we were fine with that. We were waiting over in the area by the coffee machine, standing out of the rain because it was pouring. Then the matrodi came over staying we couldn't wait there even though we weren't in the way and told us to wait in our cars, and we said we didn't have any since we were from out of town. We ended up waiting over by the bathrooms for about 25 minutes or so. We were seated and waiting for over 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order. It was a young waitress and we were ready to order. We placed our order, but she had brought out my boyfriend's drink but not my OJ. After about 30 more minutes our food came out but we had no silverware to eat it with. So after about 5 mins, we asked a different waiter nearby for water and silverware, and he brought it out quick for us. And then our servicer came by while we were awaiting silverware, and all she does is goes 'oh' and nothing else when she sees us not eating. But then eventually brings us forks after we already got them. The food was pretty good for gluten free pancakes and grilled cheese, but service was definitely disappointing.

Drea Stevenin

The food, it's great, all of it. I crave Cubans in my dreams also!

Alia Ward

We waited 45 minutes to get in. We were told 25 mins which was annoying but we made the choice to stay. The problem was the execution of the food. Ordered the cinnamon roll french toast. The cinnamon rolls literally had this overcooked, burnt texture. It seemed like they were pre-maid. I was disappointed in that regard because we were hoping for some decent breakfast craftsmanship. The coffee was mediocre, however the rosemary caramel latte was dynamite. My fiance's breakfast burrito was great, the breakfast potatoes were unsalted. There are some great aspects of this place, if they can harness certain areas it would be worth the wait, unfortunately this time it was not.

Shannon Marie Barr

First time here! Loved it! Great food, eclectic atmosphere! Totally in love!

Anna Kleier

Good food and a fun/relaxed atmosphere and aesthetic! They also have alternative options for certain foods, and some vegetarian options. (For example, I was able to substitute bacon for veggie sausage instead)

Alli D

This business supports Planned Parenthood! Looking forward to a wonderful brunch and walked out due to their signs everywhere for their plannted parenthood fundraiser. Stick to your good food and stay out of politics.

Jeffrey Rodriguez

The vegan options tasted fantastic! And the decor is educational.

Jeff Byler

Two words: Pork Hash. Wow, was it delicious! It's pricy at $13, but it's worth it at least once. We had excellent service. The place was jam packed with people waiting outside, but they still got us in sooner than they said they would. We were in a hurry to see a show at Crown Center, and our waitress accommodated us very well. We want to come back soon to try more menu items!

This place has a unique feel with great offerings including carnivore/vegetarian/vegan. For some reason i always have to get their Little Richard (espresso & mexican coke) every time! Brunch here is a MUST! Always a great time! For food challengers, look for the Sumo!

The food was good. It was busy and our wait was typical, but it did take a little longer to get our food than we would have liked. Friendly service.

Such an interesting menu! Delicious.

Yummmmm!!! This is not your average brunch place! Very unique menu items. We got the southwestern sink which is to die for. All your favorite breakfast toppings assembled hash style atop crispy breakfast potato slices. Also offer tons of different drink options from fresh juices to coffees. We had the immunity shot as well, packed with ginger and very refreshing. Eclectic vibes and quite popular of a destination! Definitely going back for more, it lived up to the hype.

Come hungry! Local Kansas City Missouri restaurant that i enjoy (love) eating breakfast at. The french toast is awesome!!!! I would call it a neighborhood gem that has a cool vibe and can enjoy food and friends. And they have good coffee!

Guy Fieri has walked this hallowed ground, need I say more?

Has a nice artsy atmosphere and is usually very busy, but I don't know how. I haven't eaten here in over a year after I noticed a major decrease in food quality. I gave it a second chance today and I shouldn't have. The French toast on my Maggie Cristo was collapsed, soggy, and tasted like raw egg. My boyfriend got the same sandwich but gluten free. We don't have unrealistic expectations about gluten free food, but the gluten free pancakes they used were absolutely disgusting. It's a shame this place has gone so downhill, because it's a cute spot. But that's just about all it is anymore.

If you haven't been there yet, its worth a visit. If you have been there before then, you're probably going back again. WHY? Whether you are vegan or carnivore, you get Fresh ingredients, Cooked to order, & Served quickly.

Nothing is better than a hot breakfast. Too bad that isn't what we got. Had it been served hot, I would have been happy to give them five stars. I got the burrito of love which was scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon wrapped in a pancake. Great tasting pancake and I appreciated them breaking down the bacon versus leaving them in long strips. My wife got gluten free pancakes, eggs and bacon. Her dish was also cold making the eggs unappealing. She asked for the bacon to be crispy and that is what she got. Unfortunately the gluten free pancakes weren't that great. They were a little too doughy and very bland. She makes better gluten free pancakes at home which defeats the purpose of going out for breakfast. They have good coffee. The decor could use a little attention like a simple new coat of paint.

Everything that is vegetarian here is amazing, they have a little work to do so that the meat products are good. The Elvis french toast is amazing!

I really like the vegan sink. It looks gross, but it tastes amazing.

Oh my goodness, this place is amazing! I don't know how I've never been here before. Our waitress was fantastic and recommended several things. We settled on splitting the smoked salmon salad (freaking amazing ❤) and the gluten-free Maggie Cristo. I also the rosemary caramel latte ☕, which was just as good as the food. There were so many ways to customize what you wanted, and I'm so excited to go back and try more amazing food.

Atmosphere was great and eclectic. Our waitress was friendly and able to answer all menu questions.

There’s a reason this place is always on the list for best breakfast in KC. Everything you want out of a cool cafe: pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, salads, juices, and great coffee.

Very hipster like. Good basic food!

Found this as a high rated breakfast place on Google. Went for breakfast this morning and loved it. Small place but super fun with friendly servers and decor. Our waitress recommended two of her favorites plus their 7 layer cake. We split to entrees and then had cake. All of it was very good. Get there before 9am as there isn't room to wait inside.
