Great breakfast near the airport. Friendly service. Try the breakfast burrito and the spicy BBQ sauce.

Marlana Bradshaw

My family had a wonderful experience at Scott's Kitchen! It was delicious and the owner was so kind and friendly as he made his way around the restaurant visiting everyone and making sure we were all having a good time. Great food! Great staff!

Angela Barlow

I don't get the hype. The beans and cheesy corn were vile. I thought the pulled pork tacos were decent until I damn near cracked a tooth on a bone! Won't be back.

James Hurst

Went to Scott's kitchen this morning for the first time to get breakfast and went off the suggestion of the owner to get the burnt end Burrito. Wow definitely a game changer in breakfast burritos it was excellent and the customer service was also the same. 5 star for me.

Larry van Loon

On our way to the airport from out of town, we were greeted at the door by Scott the congenial owner, who welcomed us, described the the specials and directed us to the line. I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this place before, in a town that prides itself on BBQ, the brisket and the burnt ends were informed, moist, smoky and completely satisfying. Better than most. A signature item, ghost pepper sausage was delightful and unique. All in all a really great experience picking up some friends at the airport and enjoying a great lunch over some Kansas City BBQ. We will certainly be back!

Paul Gave

Awesome portion sizes. Very good flavor. Really enjoyed the pulled pork. Rubbed then smoked, service was awesome. Sides were plentiful. I will be back again. Wish they were open on Saturdays.

Kevin Everett

Good service. Food is good, but, prices are a little high. Menu is limited for what I'm use to from a KC BBQ.

Dereck Johnson

The ribs were great!!!! On par with the best I have ever eaten. Will be back to try the rest of their offerings. The burnt end tacos have my interest.

Caprena Rowe

Welcome tourists and all the guest tell you the good food and surroundings.

Heath Nuckolls

Can't wait to try at the restaurant. Wife brought some leftover home and WOW. Some of the best brisket I have ever had. Great char, etc.

Samantha Kelly

Stopped in for breakfast on the way to the airport, with my husband!! I had the homemade ghost pepper sausage breakfast burrito! Absolutely delicious! Never been one for BBQ sauce on my breakfast, but it was on the table so I thought, why not!? Portion size was enough for breakfast... and second breakfast! The service was spectacular, my husband and I will definitely be back for lunch in the near future!

Visiting from out of town on business. My colleague found this small goldmine Best shrimp tacos I’ve ever had!!! I had the whitefish taco but substituted with shrimp. Delicious!

Travis Gratzer

EXTREMELY GOOD BBQ! A must try! I will ask for the burnt ends to be cut a couple more times next time though. My daughter had a little trouble with cutting the big chunks. This in no way had any affect on the taste though. Still amazing! Brisket is also in my top five for the city!

Linda Mandacina

This is a great place. My grandson and I went there and split a slab of ribs. They are the best ribs I' have ever had. Great place for breakfast and lunch!

Josh Gulstad

BBQ tacos for breakfast. Great way to start the morning before an early flight.

Michael Aviles

So good. Prices are reasonable and the owner is a nice guy. Will definitely be back and now have a go to spot when I fly out of KC.

Alan Harnett

My family eats bbq in Kansas City a lot. We find this is some of these best there is. As of now it’s a hidden gem. The menu is large and innovative. We tried a variety of different bbq options, chicken wings, a bowl, and tacos. With all the meat and fish being smoked in house the quality is amazing. The service was outstanding and prices were reasonable. They are closed on the weekends. Parking lot is large. It’s worth a drive to come to Scott’s.

Chris Campbell

I had the Burnt Ends sandwhich which was excellent. I wish I had the chance to try everything they had. The bbq beans were good, but not fantastic, however that is my opinion.

Richard Johnson

Absolutely amazing. Having lived in KC for over 20 years, I have sampled some of the best BBQ in KC. Having said that, Scott's Kitchen has vaulted to the top of my list after 1 visit. The freshest twist on BBQ...can't wait to go back.

Brooke Vaughn

Friendly staff and delicious BBQ!

Lacelia Lawrence

Love the food and the service

Michelle Palmer

Oh my goodness! What an intriguing menu. We came here yesterday as a part of Joe's BBQ Quest. Top notch food. I had the brisket bowl, so good. Also the whitefish taco was one of the best I've ever eaten. We got to sample ribs, burnt ends, homemade ghost pepper sausages and wings. All were amazing. The sausages were delicious with a touch of heat. Next time gotta try their homemade Chorizo. Definitely will go again. They also do breakfast until 11.

Debbie Seeger

Delicious and fast and delicious! Oops already said that

April Trotter

We just stopped to stretch our legs and owner or manager came over and gave us some very tasty watermelon and had nice conversation. thank you !!!

Best BBQ I have had in the area.

Alex MacKay

Awesome KC BBQ, I’m just sad that I didn’t bring a big enough appetite to eat the huge portions they give you.

Blake M.

My favorite place for BBQ in the Northland. The flavors and recipes are very original. The tacos are my personal favorite, so far. The place is always super clean. The staff is incredibly friendly. I cannot recommend strongly enough.

Jasmine Jameson

The best Bbq we have ever had. I will make sure to come back. This is our new go to spot! That pulled pork, brisket, and burnt ends are amazing. The beans are the best I have ever had.

Howard Cohen

I tried Scott's for the first time today and I have to say it ranks up there as some of the best BBQ in KC. The food was amazing, the presentation was causally classy, and my meal was brought to my table by Scott himself. If I have to find anything negative it would have to be the hours. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, and I want to go back for dinner now

jenine miller

This is the absolutely BEST BBQ I've ever had. The meats were absolutely divine. Ribs were great and service was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Tim Stindle

Coming from Wisconsin I wanted to try authentic KC barbecue. This place did not disappoint. The brisket sandwich had THICK pieces of brisket. The sandwich was big and plenty of meat. The brisket taco was awesome. The price was very reasonable and take out couldn't of been faster. To the young woman Cammy ( hope the spelling is close ) working there who took time out of her busy lunch rush to stand and talk to me I wanted to let her know we're not getting older mentally or physically. Thanks for the great experience

Michael Laird

Good burrito, friendly service, and close to the airport. Thanks!

Trex Maximus

Had the brisket, chicken, and beans. It was good!! The brisket had a mild smoke flavor. The bbq sauce was to my liking. The beans had chunks of brisket in it. I would definitely go back and try the other stuff.

Leslie Cary

Fantastic BBQ. Meats were juicy and tender. Just right amount of sauce. Better than most BBQ that I have eaten

K.C. Maynes

Great BBQ in KC, less than 5 minutes from the airport. Traditional BBQ plus a BBQ and Chipotle fusion (tacos and burritos) plus breakfast foods. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Come early and hungry.

James M.

Best BBQ by the airport! I love almost everything from this BBQ joint. Amazing tacos and bowls! Meats are excellent, but careful on pulled pork for the ghost pepper sauce! Spicy!

Christopher DeLano

I work just down the road and had heard many good things about Scott's so decided to try it out. I couldn't be happier that I did! Now we have them cater most of our events and I eat there at least once a week. Best BBQ in the Northland by far and in the running for best in KC. Burnt Ends are phenomenal. The menu is different than any other BBQ joint I've been to and it is a great change of pace. Absolute must haves in my opinion are the Burnt End Tacos and the Pulled Pork Bowl.

Michael Novev

Plenty of food very delicious

Jon Tandy

Kansas City Barbecue. Tacos. Enough said. They have a unique selection of barbecue tacos (burnt end, brisket, chicken, pulled pork, etc.) that are mouth-watering, as well as other dishes I didn't get to try. Definitely need to find an excuse to go back next time I'm in the area!

Ryan Van Surksum

Awesome food and friendly staff. Met Scott briefly and were treated well. He was very appreciative of our business. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the KC area

Daniel Schreier

Who does insanely good burnt end breakfast tacos? This place does. I am totally addicted to them as are my customers who I treat to Scott’s tacos every time I am in town. My co worker stopped in and got the burnt end burrito and was equally amazed at how good they were. I have also had the pork breakfast tacos which were also very good. I realize just how difficult it is to serve competition quality burnt ends day in and day out like Scott does. Other BBQ places in KC of which I have tried many many times over the last 38 years that I have been traveling to KC for business almost monthly do not seem to be able to copy the success that Scott has. You can really taste and see just how all his hard work in the pit really truly pays off big time! I am anxious to try the ribs and some of the other various menu items in the near future. In closing, if you have not tried Scott’s burnt ends yet it is a must do event to have some of The Very Best in KC Burnt Ends!

Joseph Guarino

Amazing. A must experience. Being a rib guy, I got to say these ribs were fall of the bone amazing. Tender. Juicy. Plus had to taste the burnt ends. Nothing I've ever had before were like these. Make the time to give this place a try, you will be glad you did.

Rick Condray

Great little place! I was able to walk over during a lunch break from a meeting at Four Points by Sheraton. It doesn't have a lot of seating but that's OK. I ordered the Brisket Burrito with a side of, beans. Everything was fantastic! The burrito had good flavor, with just a little bit of heat. The beans had a little more sweetness. I enjoyed dipping the burrito in the, beans for a little more heat and sweet combo. Portion size was very nice. Not too much that I was stuffed, but enough to keep me satiated through the, afternoon. The food came out very, quickly and the, staff was very available and attentive to any needs. I am not in the area very often, but hope to make it back soon! Thanks for the great experience!

Tiffany Nicole

Noticed this little place on the way into our hotel, decided to try their breakfast and let me tell you the taste was anything but little! Best hashbrowns ive had in a while and quiet impressed with the biscuits and gravy! My eggs (over med) we fried to perfection. I will be trying their lunch soon! Service fast n friendly . Walk up counter and dining area w window front, nice natural light. Very comfy lil place and loved that you can smell the wood burning as you walk up.

Anthony Smith

Finally got a chance to try some Kansas City BBQ. This was my first impression and I'm not disappointed. The BBQ beans were on point. The cheesy potatoes on point. And I had to get some brisket to go. The service is great too.

Messen Around

Got to meet Scott himself who was extremely friendly and kind. The food was of amazing quality and has definitely earned every 5 star it's gotten

Shah K

Called in the order that day before. They were super helpful. My order was correct and waiting for me. All my items were labeled clearly. I had the burnt ends burrito bowl. Delicious, sad when I was done because I wanted more.

JP Prentiss

I happened to find Scott’s on a fluke as I was leaving the airport. The food is great. Service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is solid. All in all a great experience. Thanks!

Andrea Hall

The brisket with sweet sauce is amazing. The potato salad is one of the best I’ve had.

Matt Hovey

Hidden gem with counter service, barbeque and unique takes on classic items. Staff is responsive and the place is clean and inviting. Plenty of parking for a busy lunch clientel.

Andrew Turnbough

Good food that is has a fair price. Portion sizes are good and for a BBQ joint they serve a real good breakfast. Love going here.

Great food. Great People

David Melvin

Scott was truly hospitable and the food was tremendous. The operation is first rate and the service was stellar. We had Burnt ends, brisket, homemade breakfast sausage, chili, and a burrito. Deliciousness all around.

Never had burnt ends before. Tried at 2 other places before coming here and thought the other places were average. This place had the best by far. Both sauces are delicious too. I don't even like coleslaw, and their jalapeno apple slaw is so good. Friendly workers also.

Coah Dull

If you fly into Kansas City looking forward to barbecue ASAP, you're in luck. Scott's Kitchen is just around the corner and near the highway. The meats are smoked on site and will have your mouth watering as soon as you get into the parking lot. A two plate meal with two sides and a soda will cost you about $17 but it's well worth it. There is lighter fare available for lighter appetites. Today I had the burnt ends and brisket, it was it's absolutely delicious and the spicy BBQ sauce not too hot.

James Hale

Excellent! First time here and I got the burnt ends and they were fantastic. Great smoky flavor and not too fatty. Also a very generous portion. The cheesy potatoes are also excellent. I got the beans as well and while they were good, they are definitely unique. Can't wait to come back and try their other menu items!

Sean Webb

Fantastic!! Good vibes..Great BBQ..Fast and Friendly Service!!

Doug B

Stopped by on my way to KCI. Menu is an interesting fusion of local eats. I liked it and will be back next trip to the airport.

Andrew Thomas

Incredible BBQ breakfast tacos, $9.96 with tax for three. Delicious and recommended!

Todd Richardson

Convenient location near the airport. Small unassuming restaurant with great flavors! Scott came out to talk to us while we ate, and we ended up ordering BBQ to take on our flight back home. Scott knew how to fix it up so we can take it. BBQ was the best I had in Kansas City. Go to Joe's Kansas City BBQ for the experience, go to Scotts for the flavor.

Savory Addictions

Great food, with a pleasant, lively atmosphere. Friendly staff and a caring chef. What more could you ask for?

Crystal Dixon

The ribs are fabulous! Very kind workers.. owner!!

Whit Mcconnell

Decent BBQ if you’re near the airport and looking for a bbq fix. The brisket was good. The pulled pork was very good. The beans were excellent. All rolled up I’ll put this one on my list of go to places when flying out of MCI in the afternoon.

Matt Regan

This place is awesome. I was at a client near by they told me to try this place if I wanted really good food. I got the pulled pork tacos and wow. A perfect balance of spicy and sweet thanks to the jalapeno apple slaw. Definitely will eat here again

Ang Neville - easy

This little place is a gem! Right off 29 at airport exit, convenient for a quick bite or grab'n go before

R Cantor

Wow! Great BBQ. The sauce from the kitchen is somewhere between Hawaiian and KC. The sauce at the table was different. The ribs, brisket and pulled pork were all excellent. Their creamy potato dish was superb, don't miss it. Service was good. Among the best BBQ places in KC.

Brinlee Acklin

Great customer service, delicious food, and fair price. The owner even takes time to see each customer and ask about quality and service. Highly recommend this BBQ joint

Tom Golbuff

I had lunch here and it was very busy. The place was clean and neat. All employees were friendly and helpful. I had the burnt end sandwich which wasn't that large and it cost $9. I thought it was TOO expensive. The baked beans were good but not great. It took quite awhile to get my food. My main complaint is that they did not have any lunch specials which I thought was odd. Decent place, but there is better BBQ in Kansas City.

Alex Johnson

Excellent little BBQ joint. I had the BBQ Brisket sandwich and cheesy potatoes. The brisket was so tender and savory , you don't even need sauce.

Brandi Horton

Very tasty n great service

Aaron Gibson

Been here a couple of times now. Close to the airport and a great place to stop in for lunch. This is a walk-up-and-order type of place. I had the fish tacos (both times). Actually, I was going to try something else the second time but liked the tacos so much after the first visit that I just had to have them again. Tends to be very busy during the noon lunch rush but they do a good job of managing it and getting the food out in a timely manner. Another cool thing is you will find Scott, the owner, walking around and talking to patrons. Say hi to him and let him know how the food is. I think you'll be pleased.

Rick Saenger

Best barbecue north of the Texas State line !

Alexis Wisniewski

I visited with a large group of moms (and our kids.) They were wonderful at accommodating our group and making us feel welcome. I got three different tacos and each one was delicious. They had varying toppings that made each one unique. I heard only good things from everyone in our group.

Christine Lipscomb

The food would make it a worthy destination even if it weren't super convenient for airport travelers. The location is great for catching a delicious meal before boarding or for hungry visitors right off their flight.

CJ Rocks

Tasty food. Very clean with comfortable atmosphere. I recommend .. . . just be sure to check hours of operation as they are very limited. Not open on weekends , only open until 3 pm M-F. Enjoy!

Anthony Jaska

Everything was fantastic. Scott came out to us and chatted with us, he is really great guy. Him and his staff were so kind to us. Furthermore the food was absolutely perfect. I had the 4 bones (ribs) no sauce and the chicken thighs no sauce. Coming from a guy that avoids sauce, the rub on everything was stellar, full flavor and I didn’t taste an over abundance of sugar. I did taste the spicy bbq sauce, it was killer! Sides were also incredible. I tried the cheesy potatoes, the slaw and the beans. All them were spectacular. Enjoy!

Kathryn Baxter

In town for work and a colleague brought me here. Should have taken pictures. The bbq tacos were divine. Sweet, spicy......just heaven. Will back back anytime I'm in town. Definitely worth trying if you are ever in the area. Oh yes, and Scott likes to get around to make sure everyone's food is ok. Very nice man and excellent food.

Leslie Rivers

Food is awesome! Service is wonderful! Food is awesome!

GB Garrett

Was very impressed, I love places like this that tend to be smaller and more down home, the owner walking through the dining area checking in on everyone. All employees personable and attentive. Easy to get to just off 29 and close to the airport. I had the smoked ends (very tender) and the pulled pork. Sauces (sweet and spicy) both very good. Would recommend to anyone and looking forward to coming back. They also have a breakfast menu that looks very good.

Ken Denning

GREAT BBQ. Pulled pork, brisket was great. Good jalapeno Cole slaw. Great BBQ Beans w brisket. Ghost pepper sausage was a favorite. Very happy w catering from them.

Alexander Hermelin

My family and I were first time visitors yesterday. We had just got back from a trip and boy were we hungry. Scott's Kitchen did not disappoint. It's location near the airport is great. Customer service was top-notch and the food was fantastic! I'd highly recommend anything with the apple slaw (so good!). We both are looking forward to visiting again soon.

Keith Becker

The pork taco was great! The jalapeno slaw was the perfect touch.

Charlie Vogel

Could’ve ate 5 more lbs of the burnt ends.. unreal flavor! I’ll be back.

Nelson Nissley

Had the Prepare for Takeoff breakfast tacos. Plenty of egg and meat on them. I will come back again.

Kristie S

Always great food and great service

Mr. T

Burnt ends breakfast taco?! Yes please! Picked up a colleague at the airport this morning and finally had a chance to try this place. I need to come back and try some of the other items. The tacos were fantastic

Patty Keeney

Unassuming place ...Pulled pork sandwich was melt on your mouth with great flavor. Good potato salad and brisket sandwich was great & loaded with flavor. Alot of menu items, can't wait to go back and try some more!

DeMorris Glasper

Dropped in for breakfast! First visit and tried 2 different breakfast tacos one sausage and one burnt end. They both had great flavor and I would recommend trying them both. The staff was very friendly from taking my order to delivering my food I definitely will make a return trip in the future.

Allen Lee

Oh man ... so glad this place is here next to KCI Expo and all the hotels. Don’t need to travel far for excellent, excellent bbq while visiting Kansas City. Pulled pork - tender. Chicken - tender, smokey goodness. Turkey - surprisingly good. Really want to try their burnt ends ... gonna go try before my visit to Kansas City is over. Sides were amazing. Apple vinegar cole slaw has a wonderful kick to it, not too heavy on the mayonnaise, which is perfect; potato salad was bomb! Baked beans and cheesy potatoes - my kids digged it. Location is right next to airport - please be sure to stop by when you first arrive and leave Kansas City, you won’t regret it. Note their hours are 7am-3pm.

Chris Hauge

Ghost Pepper Pepperjack Sausage was great. Very Addictive.

Suzanne D.

After reading great reviews of this place, my husband and I were really looking forward to trying it. We liked the brisket and jalapeño coleslaw. However, the burnt ends were almost nothing but fat. I love good burnt ends, but these were very disappointing. It was hard to pick much actual meat out of them, and even bites that looked meaty were mostly rubbery fat. Yuck. The ghost pepper sausage was interesting, but a little goes a long way due to the spiciness. The cheesy potatoes might have been really good if they were hot, but they were lukewarm at best. As we were leaving, my husband told one of the servers about the fatty burnt ends, and all she said was "I'll tell them." It would have been nice if she had offered to get us something else instead. Not sure if we'll go back.

Philip Bradshaw

Thoughtful, well-timed service--completely stress free. My family pushed together a couple tables outside and they had no problems. The ribs and burnt ends were moist, tender and delicious. The Cole slaw had wonderful flavor. Everything my family tried from the meat to the sides was fantastic. Keep up the great product, guys!

Emily Wegener

Thank you! Great service, fast, friendly, and clean. Scott came out to meet our large group of moms and generously shared some extra slices of watermelon with our kids. We will be back.

Ryan T

If it was judged on the burnt ends alone, 5 stars. But holistically... can’t do it. The ghost pepper sausage is good, but a little dry, the beans are solid, I’d get those again, the cheesy potatoes... kinda bad, they were runny and gritty. Overall. Go and get burnt ends. They’re awesome!!!

Andrew Macken

Best damn BBQ in KC!

Stacy Roelfs

Busy place with a quaint atmosphere. Expect to wait in line for about 15 minutes.

Jeremy Ray

Burnt ends and brisket are amazing. Staff was great as well.

Robert J. Cleveland

The food was excellent and very fast service. Never disappoint put this place on your barbecues hotspots

Jeffrin Joseph

Amazing meat quality. Will definitely come here again.

Mike Prevost

Absolutely wonderful BBQ and so close to the airport.

Jason Trent

Excellent food and very friendly staff. My first time there and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. Locally owned and operated.

Adam Orr

Burnt end burrito. Best in the city, hands down.

Chelsea Seachord

Hands down the best place to get barbecue. Scott loves what he does and it shows in everything. I order frozen bulk barbecue to take home with me on the plane every time I'm in town. I get to the airport a little early because I know security is going to want to take a peek. He provides detailed instructions on exactly how to reheat it, too!

jettafocker .

Shouldn’t be considered barbecue. Not worth it. Too expensive, drive 5 more minutes farther for Smokehouse or smoke box. Sauce is really sweet. Spicy sauce is same as sweet with a kick at the end. Brisket sandwich was thick dry brisket, more like a roast than barbecue. I want my money back.

malcolm smitherman

Fantastic!!! Brisket chili should be served in a bathtub ... I could wallow in it all day long. Smoked ghost pepper sausage is made in house and has the most perfect grind. Spicy, but not so hot that you can't taste the sausage. This place is going to be added to our favorite restaurants in the area!

Shannon Peterson

Food was awesome. Had a big group of moms with young kids and we sat outside and the owner even came to chat with us. Will definitely be back, everyone in my group loved their food!

Kevin Below

Someone let the secret out!! Eveything is great. Tried the brisket burrito and Turkey + sausage gumbo this time.

Timmothy Merath

An absolute hidden gem, especially for travelers in and out of the airport. I came in early on business and had time to kill in the morning. Scott’s came up in a search and given how close it was to the airport, we gave it a go. And what a go! The biscuits and gravy I had were delicious and a friendly portion. My coworker had barbecue and was just as pleased. Top that off with a comfortable setting, nice staff, and a constantly topped-off cup of coffee and you have a breakfast worth repeating. I’ll be back any time I’m back in KC!

Carolyn Fjeld

Good food, very nice staff!

Suzi Cliff

1st timers, it was Very good! Had a Brisket sandwich, Potato Salad, Definitely will go back and try something else!!

Ralph Hone

Great food awesome owner greated us. Really outstanding place

Rick Dempster

Unique take on BBQ and TexMex blending that works well. I found the food good, a relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. Priced right, too!

Jeff Oehler

The front desk at my hotel recommended this place and they were right. Great place to eat. Prices were good and the burnt ends were amazing. I also had brisket which was very good. I wish I knew this morning that they were open for breakfast!!!

Aynde Bennett

Stopped here because it was right near our hotel and was not disappointed! I had the breakfast bowl with burnt ends and it was very good. Meat was very tender. With the potatoes, egg, cheese it was very filling. Kids had pancakes that were fluffy with thick slices of bacon. Breakfast for 4 was around 30 dollars.

Richard Morris

Scott's Kitchen is normally only open on weekdays for breakfast and lunch, but they announced they would be open on all Saturdays in December 2018. I have been wanting to try Scott's Kitchen, so this was the perfect time to try them for the first time. My wife, my son and I went for Saturday breakfast. I ordered the burnt ends breakfast burrito, my wife had the brisket breakfast burrito and my son was less adventurous and just ordered 4 pancakes. The meat in the burritos was delicious and the burritos were filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, potatoes and a touch of salsa. Attached are some pictures of my burrito deconstructed, so you can appreciate the large amount of ingredients. I want to go back for dinner to try some more of their delicious barbecue!! 2 types of bbq sauce that are made in-house had outstanding flavor and were great on our breakfast burritos!! Highly recommend trying Scott's Kitchen when in the vicinity of Kansas City International!!

H Campbell

Lunch was good. Going to try breakfast some time.

adam yacoub

Great food! (no matter what you get) great staff! You will NOT be disappointed. Ohh and if your lucky enough to try the smoked wings with the Alabama white sauce before there sold out definitely go for it!

Excellent little hole in the wall spot to get great and delicious food. Owner came out and asked how the food was. Friendly staff. Just what you look for in a local eatery.

Bruce Baldwin

Excellent BBQ and I was a KCBS Judge for years. Very friendly and super quick service.

Cara Zdravkovski

Best BBQ in the Northland! Everything is made fresh and the place is very clean. Takeout is awesome as well and they Cater! Scott the owner is very passionate about his food abd it shows!

Barry Williams

Good biscuits and gravy, friendly staff.

Patti Mitschke

I had the turkey bowl. Delicious smoked meat, lettuce and a citrus sauce.

John Raynor

Very tasty BBQ. I heard about it and finally tried Scott's. The staff is helpful and the food is delicious. Highly recommend Scott's Kitchen.

Matt Valliere

Just finished eatting here.....AWESOME! Ribs were incredible and really enjoyed the cheesy potatoes. Will be back if ever in K.C. again!

Michelle Maggia

It was our first time trying Scott's and it did not disappoint. We will be back for sure. Thank you making our lunch date awesome.

Davidson Coronado

Considering the meal options around this area are not good, this place was a paradise! I was working at the aiport for about a week and was tired of fast food and subpar options. I came on a Sunday, but the place was closed, I should have looked at that before. Then I came back on a Monday and had the pork bbq tacos with the spicy sauce. They were delicious! Fresh yummy food, would definitely come back if I'm around the area. I love spicy food so I was happy with the level of heat, but be aware... it's HOT! Great value for the quality, definitely recommend!

Jeremiah Preston

Excellent place for lunch. The tacos were amazing. The staff is friendly and pleasant to talk with.

Daniel M

STL area resident visiting Kansas City. I love bbq and so I was very happy when I was offered to be taken to lunch for KC BBQ. My girlfriend's father said this was his BBQ joint. I must say, I'm impressed. Delicious ribs, scrumptious and hardy BBQ Baked Beans, and cheesy potatoes that were not too smothered in cheese. The environment is cozy and warm. I enjoyed the eclectic group of people that filled the small room. (46-48 occupant maximum inside) I'd recommend a stop by. You, probably, won't regret it.

Erik Hardin

Burnt ends bowl was phenomenal. Quick service at lunch.

Reggie Hundley

I stopped in when I found Scott's Kitchen online during a visit to the KC area, staying near KCI. I had the pork & brisket 2 meat combo. Being a native of North Carolina, I am partial to pork and like thinner sauces with a vinegar base. What a surprise to find Scott with a blend of KC sweetness & NC tang in the sauce. Both pork & brisket were great. The jalapeño apple slaw is outstanding. I WILL be back when I come through the area.

Samantha Landzettel

This place is KC Hidden Gem! If you want amazing bbq then come on over. I had the pulled pork and the brisket and talk about melt in your mouth meat. The rubs, spices and sauce just mix together and it's an explosion in your mouth. None of it over powers the other. The meats aren't drenched in sauce either, which makes it amazing. If you want TRUE KC BBQ come on over to this place!!!

Nastassija Loew

This place is awesome! The food is amazing and the staff is great! The pulled pork is fantastic! And not dry like most places. We even got to talk to Scott while we were there! I would highly recommend!! Not like a traditional BBQ place but definitely one of the very best!

Robert MacGregor

Go here. Give them money. Get the food. Put the food in your face. Unless you hate BBQ and breakfast food. Then probably don't. But very good food. I'm still tasting the spicy BBQ they have and I'm enjoying it.

Greg noway

Meat was good, slaw was good, but the BBQ beans were strange tasting, nothing like was thinking it would be.

Sean Steiner

Locally owned and operated. Great food and service. Absolutely love this place. In a hurry don't worry they get the food out fast and fresh. Must try this place if you haven't already.

Ashley Kimes

We weren't expecting this to be a barbecue place just from the outside but it was really good!!

John Reardon

Ate lunch here today with my wife and I had very high hopes. Let me start with the general flavor profile is spot on what I love! Now to the bad, Ribs way overcooked,I know a lot of people love them that way"fall off the bone" style. I prefer them competition style were there's a little slight tug but come off the bone clean. Brisket was dry. Chicken thighs, well we had 2 and one was spectacular and 1 was Sahara desert. The good Burnt ends great. Sides were all great. We might have caught them slightly off game, but I was a little disappointed after all the great reviews they have had.

Excellent addition to the KCI food desert. A first rate primer on KC BBQ with traditional and SW inspired offerings. Brisket tacos were astoundingly good, the burnt end bowl was really good though the chunks needed to be more chopped than chunky. Definitely coming back to sample the plate lunches.

Drove by going to our hotel and decided to get breakfast. So glad we did. It was fantastic. Lots of smoked meats and he makes his own sausage. Will stop and have lunch next time I'm in KC.

It was awesome. Best breakfast ever, I had the tacos and they were delicious and they're pancakes they were crazy delicious. We also had a talk to Scott real nice guy and we also had a chance to tell him about our farming business, which is M.A.D. farms. If ur in town and your looking for a place to eat breakfast or lunch in Kansas City I highly recommend Scott's kitchen.

Once again we did a Google search for local breakfast restaurant. We found a barbecue place that also serves breakfast. We were very pleasantly surprised! My husband ordered a breakfast bowl with brisket. The brisket was so tender! and I order pancakes hash browns and their homemade sausage. We really liked the sausage. The breakfast was delicious! Everything was so good I wanted to go back for lunch! The service was great too!

Nice people, good food. Good smoke in the meat. Small seating area. Lots of locals eating here. Very close to the airport. Got our rental car and it was a couple of exits away.

Absolutely loved the burnt ends and BBQ beans. The ghost pepper jack sausage was fantastic, but was room temperature. Would have been phenomenal if a bit hotter, but tasted great

Food was excellent. Service was fast. Room was full, even at 2 pm, with is a good sign. Lots of varieties, not your typical "BBQ Joint." The brisket paired well with the spicy sauce and the mild sauce was great with the pulled pork. The Apple Jalapeno Slaw was delicious (and not too spicy). I don't think they offered fries as a side (GASP). I got the beans, but I just didn't sense that they had enough cooking attention and flavor. Should have gone with the Pickle and Egg Potato Salad. Looking forward to going back and trying the Turkey, Chicken, Ribs, Burnt Ends, Homemade Chorizo, and did I hear someone order Fish?

I travel often for work, and try to give every BBQ spot near the hotel a fair shot when I do. I have to say, this is the best I have had and the prices are more than fair. The chicken and burnt ends were outstanding along with their barbecue sauce. The pulled pork taco equally so, I’m usually skeptical when it comes to turning everything into tacos.. but very impressed in this case. The sides of BBQ baked beans and cheesy potatoes were good too but definitely outshined by the meat. The staff seems to love their job and really care about the food they prepare, which we can agree goes a long way. If you’re in town, I highly recommend stopping in. You’ll be enthusiastically greeted and fed before driving home fat, dumb and happy with wallet intact. I know I will next time I fly into MCI, by then I may actually be hungry again. Now it’s time to nap.

By far the best BBQ spot! Towers over every other BBQ place I've been to all around greater Kansas City area. Tender meats..fall off the bone ribs. Worth checking out.

I've always wanted to try this place since I've heard they have excellent BBQ. I dropped off a.friend at the airport so I came for breakfast. The burnt end breakfast burrito was recommended and I'm glad I took the recommendation. Freaking delicious!!!

Staff was really friendly. I had the brisket and it was pretty bad. Now, i've had a lot of brisket in my life. Maybe it's because i'm used to southern and texas bbq, but this was the driest piece of meat I've ever had in my life. It was tough, hard to chew. Ended up only eating half because it was just that bad. My friend had the burnt ends which are fattier and he said they were really good, though.
