We were in the area for a wedding, and decided that we wanted a "real" breakfast (but not a chain) in lieu of the "free" breakfast offered by the hotel. Perky's was only 10 minutes away from where we were staying (near Legends). It looked small from the outside, but there was plenty of room inside. The breakfast was great. Mom still raves about the cinnamon roll she had and my wife loved the french toast. Everything came out perfect and nobody complained about the mess my son made with all the food he decided to place on the floor instead of his mouth. If I ever find myself in the area again, there will be repeat visits. Thanks for providing a great place for our family to gather and enjoy a meal.

It's okay, and that's the best it gets. Portions are 'okay', food is good, service is friendly - but slow on all fronts...just better options to choose over this location. I'm sure it's a locals fav, but we live 15-20 minutes from much better breakfast spots. It took our waitress a while to check on whether everything was okay - well, until she brought the check over...and it wasn't. French toast burnt on one side, BUT they put that side plate-down, LOL! She did get us 10% off, but it just didn't make up for the overall mediocre experience. We have had breakfast at many a KC restaurant, so I'm doing a comparison of deliciousness, time it takes to be served, options, etc. - having the basics and taking twice as long to be served, then having mediocre food - just not a 4-5 star rating. I wish this venue the best of luck -& hope it improves, but we'll pass on returning.

Have you been in to this homey, welcoming cafe? I asked the neighboring businesses where I could get a non - chain-food lunch. Overwhelmingly, the answer? PERKY'S! And oh my! The chicken salad sandwiches with sunflower seeds?!? I've been back 2 or 3 times a week. Brought my Co - workers in. Tracy and Ame and the rest of the staff are open and friendly, the service is perfect, lunches are great, with his made soups, breakfast burrito is monstrous and wholesome! Can't say enough good stuff!!

Service was minimal. My daughter's cheeseburger was burnt & somewhat hard. I ordered the grilled cheese & it was,.... well not even melted. I was like the cook placed a couple slices of cheese on a toasted bun. We didn't eat it all... just enough to relieve our hunger pains. This was our second time here & the first time wasn't all that either.

Very good café food and always friendly staff. Owners know how to run a kitchen and make a quality menu of breakfast and sandwiches. They even will make sandwiches on your choice of bread, vegetarian, or gluten free! I recommend the Breakfast Burrito. Its a 6 a.m. meal that will keep you good until 2 p.m.

I love Perky's. Very friendly staff, clean and good food. On Saturdays they have Rockin Roxie there to make balloon animals for all the kids. I'm so glad Basehor finally has a restaurant other than Kelley's that has stuck around.

Describe my experience? Great! From the welcoming smiles, to the "have a good day!" I was very pleased. Non greasy, homemade breakfast and lunch. They serve yummy sweets too...pie, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake and ice cream. Offer a daily special also. It's worth checking out!!

Went for brunch, so this is not a fair shake of the lunch menu, just a breakfast review The staff and other customers were a hoot. They also have a stapled printouts for kids coloring, which was cool. The food was pretty okay, but nothing was that stood out as tasty or yummy except the French toast. Yummy bread was used, kudos. The pancakes were a little heavy with the baking power, actually kind of a baking soda taste? The biscuits and gravy were very basic, lacking good biscuit and the gravy flavor left my flavor palette sad. I'll go back for lunch sometime...
