Roxanne, you and your team CRUSHED IT. The food that Above & Beyond prepared and served at our reception was delicious, plentiful, and served so beautifully and expediently (particularly given the large crowd and unique venue setup!). I can't thank you enough for your help in providing a delicious meal and setting to our friends and family. Your staff were so pleasant and helpful, even when they had been on their feet for hours and hours and transporting all of the material in from outside in the cold! On May 4th I had an event that was supposed to be catered by Above and Beyond Catering. We had a signed contract for $2500 and rendered my payment months in advance. With less than two weeks before my event, Roxanne Strub contacted me and told me that she wasn’t not going to honor our original contract and eventually bailed on my event completely. She never showed up. I have dealt with a lot of “hard nose” business people, but I have never encountered anyone with less integrity or general business professionalism. She and her associate Heather Faudel were both ruthless and rude about it. I was shocked at how I was treated. Roxanne knew she had the upper hand by attempting to change her terms at the last minute, then failing to cater my event, or return payment. Complaints have been filed, and a lawsuit is pending. I got stiffed. Buyer beware!

Its all in the name! Rox and her crew really go out of their way to ensure everything you could possibly think of is taken care of. Even going to the effort of polishing the chafing dish lids moments before the guests arrived. The food was fantastic, and all extra was packaged up and given to us on our way out. Gina & her team were easy to work with, & attentive to every detail (even those little things we didn't think of!). The name says it all - I would highly recommend Above & Beyond Catering for any event!

My wife and I used Above and Beyond Catering for our wedding reception back in October 2018. We also used their in-house event space (Black on Burlington). As far as the space and the food went it was great. However, we did get gifts stolen from our gift table the night of the event. This included cash, cards, gift cards, and checks totaling a sum of several thousands of dollars. As part of our contract with Black on Burlington we had to hire additional security guards at an additional cost to us and clearly they did nothing. During an investigation by the North Kansas City Police Department we found out that the key suspect was an employee of Black on Burlington or Above and Beyond Catering. We also found out that over the past 18 months or so there had been several incidents of stolen cash, purses, wallets, and other valuables from Black on Burlington that the management was fully aware of! Management made no effort to inform us of these past events and provide a secure event for our wedding night. Instead they kept it a secret and even advised us to place the gift table next to the exit! After several thousands of dollars was stolen from us, neither Black on Burlington nor Above and Beyond Catering claimed any responsibility. There are no on-site security cameras and anyone can come and go as they please. Do not trust Black on Burlington or Above and Beyond Catering with your business. They do not share the responsible morals of honesty, security, and transparency that come along with being a decent human being. But they will gladly take your money. PS - I waited until now to post this review due to the active investigation by the North Kansas City Police Department.
