I wish i could tell you more. We got in about 1:22 gal sat us down and took our drink order and said Kathy would be back to take our order. At 1:37 no drink yet everyone in back talking, only other group in the place was a group of ladies talking, assuming they were done already. I asked my wife if she was ready to leave.

From the information I recieved from my family members I got the impression that this is a lazy resturant that doesnt have any business existing. Resturants that cannot provide quality food infuriate me and this is one of them.

Quaint little restaurant. Decent menu with a good amount of options. It was nice to not have 20 pages of junk to look through. Food was fresh. Server was good. Grimey fries (I think that's right) were nothing to write home about although we were told they were a must try.

Very poor and disappointing. Been here before and was good. Not the same place. Very poor Mother's Day experience. Had a reservation and was seated 52 minutes later. Overbooked our table. Food was constantly out and not replenished. For what we paid and what we received was a down right disappointment. I even sent them a detailed email with no response, so here ya go. Don't give them your business. Plenty of other good choices in town.

The food here is excellent and there is something on the menu for everyone's taste. I had the cavatelli and my date had the cannelloni. Both were excellent. Sometimes the sauces in pasta dishes can be bland. Not so with either dish I tried. The right amount of herbs and spices but not overpowering. The service was excellent too. I reccomend The Radish to everyone.

The best Top Sirloin I've ever had! The Sat. Night Prime Rib dinner- the Prime Rib was very bland, but the best Au jus ever. Restroom was nice and very clean. My waitress was excellent.

The people and staff are as friendly as they come. The portions are large, quite generous. The food is not home cooked, it's more of a late night dinner variety where the potatoes are probably from flakes, etc. The decor could stand a revenovation.

WORST meal ever! We went for Thanksgiving. The food was very obviously not fresh. Everything had been re-warmed and not well. The food was barely warm, had no flavor. Save your money! This restaurant has gone to hell.

we tried the Radish for lunch yesterday. we are new to Grimes and had never been there. my philly cheesesteak sammy had NO GREEN PEPPERS! inexcusable, especially this time of year. the breaded tenderloin was big and boring. the servers were good but the food order took forever. then insult to injury, the trees out back dropped some kind of weird crap all over the front of my truck and had to go directly to the car wash. there should be a warning sign

It is a cute little place to dine and meet a friend for lunch but they are on the pricey side and seem to be particularly proud based on the prices of certain menu items. When I was there several months ago I had a really nice server who could not have been more helpful however when I was leaving there were a couple of the staff smoking in the back doing a lot of complaining loud enough that customers could hear as they were coming and going. I know that everybody is entitled to a bad day but it seemed incredibly unprofessional to see and hear the staff say the things they were saying about the restaurant staff and policies one waitress even complaining about side work

Went for Mother's Day, and the food pwas ok. Service was great as a waitress was checkinlg every few minutes. We went towards the end of the buffet and there was still lots of food. The place was packed. I think the staff was working hard to create a good buffet. They need some time to make their buffets better.

I often have business lunches at The Radish and have never been disappointed. The service is top notch and the food is great. From ownership to staff, this place is a well run restaurant, one which I will continue to frequent. Note that they are sometimes very busy. On weekends and holidays, I recommend making a reservation. Also of note, is that The Radish was named the Business of the Year in Grimes, Iowa, so they are well respected in their community.

Darling quaint atmosphere. Ordered off the lunch menu. Had the side salad with housemade creamy parmesan dressing and excellent homemade croutons. Also had the hot roast beef sandwich called 'Where's the Beef' on the menu and the chicken fried steak that came with green beans and a breadstick. All big portions and very good. Waitress Katie was an excellent server.

The service here sucks. They recently got a new ownership and no longer offer some of their best foods. The waiters and waitresses don’t refill drinks or even check in on how your food is. Takes forever to get your food too. I would personally not recommend this place.

If you have a couple of hours to kill eating this place will be ok but if you have a hour or less forget about it. My wife and i have been here many times and i can say that even when the place is empty the food takes a very long time and as of lately it has been very inconsistent and usually smaller portions. The brunch was good for until 8 months ago and then the food quallity dropped. They stated that catering very busy so i guess they dont care about customers.

We have dined at the Radish several times, meals were always excellent and so was service. This time we were very very disappointed. First it took some time to get appetizers then the meals. Husbands steak was a charred mess, he didn't say anything, but ate abt half. The five other entrees were lacking in taste and we're greasy. So disappointed. Will not go back. Service over all was good, they had no control over food prep.

If I lived in the area I'd probably be here a lot. It's really cute, and the menu is creative and reasonably priced. First time through I had a gyro, which while light on the sauce was really fresh and moist and well seasoned. Came with freshly homemade chips and cheese sauce for same. Second time through had their salmon cakes with beans and peppers on the side. Salmon cakes were well blended with a good amount of capers, vegetables tasted fresh and weren't overcooked. The only thing I'd complain about a little was the service, which is a bit slow and sometimes cold, but not egregious.

We have had brunch on a Sunday morning and it was the best experience we had. We recently came in for dinner tonight and the experience was not at all close to what it should have been. I ordered pasta which was perfect, yet my boyfriend ordered a medium steak but when he received it, it was over cooked and charred. We let our waitress know and she told us that it Was cooked how he wanted and not once apologized. He got a new steak that was made how he wanted it. Our waitesss never came back to ask how our food was or ask if we needed a refill on drinks. By the time we were done eating another associate came to ask if we wanted anything else, we told her no and she said ok and gave us our bill. We were curious how they cooked the steak so we asked if it was on a grill or in a pan, she assured us it was on a grill with no pan. Yet I am still sceptical because the steaks had no lines defining a grill cook. I took a picture of the steak after he had eaten a part of it, half of the steak was rare while the other half was medium. We were not impressed at all and will not be going back for dinner or even a brunch.

Dined at Radish for the first time today. We opted for the brunch and it was killer.....scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, french toast, pancakes, corned beef hash, fried chicken, prime rib casserole, au gratin and hash browned potatoes, bread pudding, cinnamon rolls and more. Needless to say, we didn't leave hungry and everything was fantastic. Service was prompt and friendly. We'll be back.

The restraunt smells like dirty, damp carpet. The food took forever to get. There was hardly anyone else to wait on, so I am not sure what took so long. We only had 2 at our table. They were out of baked potatoes, but had garlic mashed potatoes, that came out cold. The squash was undercooked, very small portion, and had no flavor. Very disappointed with the experience.

Went to brunch with my girlfriend this morning. They had excellent food on an all-you-can-eat buffet with many different options. The staff were friendly and we were well taken care of. Would definitely go again, and will have to try out the lunch/evening meals as well.

Great food & service! The owner is always there waiting to greet guests and makes sure everyone is happy. Call for a reservation if you want to eat on Friday and Saturday night. It fills up quick. Also call to ask for the special. I would recommend asking to have it reserved for you if its prime rib or another popular didn't!
