If you've never been to Suzie's... stop what you're doing and go! Have your appetite with you! They are always busy, but OMG, it's worth the wait! (Try it between the breakfast and lunch rush, around 11:00) If you're there for breakfast, try their cinnamon roll pancakes! Best diner in Northwest Indiana! Hands down! The wait staff was fun and friendly!

I had the small fruit plate which was pretty large and filling. I liked that the fruit was closer to room temperature rather than freezing cold. My husband had the Portabella quiche which he thought was rather bland and loose - more like a pudding than a quiche. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere.

This woman started with nothing, and with hard work and amazing food, she mad her way in the world. We use her at work for catering, and she's always been spot on. (Fried chicken -- like it was made by some 400 pound southern woman who started cooking in the womb. AMAZING.) The bakery is just as good. One time I had to pick up some food for a friend whose parent died. Suzie included a small box of cookies at no cost, because she found out I was going thru some hard times. She is amazing, as is her place.

Cinnamon rolls as big as your head! Really good, too. Excellent, attentive service from all staff. A busy Saturday morning, but we got in and out smoothly. I really enjoyed my vegetarian skillet, no issues from staff about no mushrooms and change the cheese. Everything came out hot and well-cooked and the way we ordered it.

Suzies is a very nice upscale feeling restaurant. We went for breakfast and the food is amazing as expected. The most impressive meal for us that day was her oatmeal. It was loaded with walnuts and bananas! I mean, like really loaded! See the pic...Also, be prepared. There is lots of sweets for sale at the counters. The staff is wonderful. You will really like this place.

I belong to a referral group. We meet once a week for breakfast. Over the last couple of months is what I am basing this on. Service has been poor. Food is fair. Prices are high. Our previous meeting place was around 10 to 12 dollars including tip. Here it's 14 to 16 dollars. I just left there. Didn't eat as I needed to leave and didn't get a chance. I am at a different restaurant now eating. Also the coffee was extremely weak, like colored water.

As soon as you walk in on most days there is a line and you seem unsure of where to go, but the folks and staff were right there to help direct you. The ambience of this place is homey. Grandmas home cooking if you will. All country style recipes and they are all phenomenal! The service is quick, the food is great, and everyone is so kind to start a conversation up with you. There is also a bakery with some awesome pastries that are all made in house. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll! I ordered it to share with 3 other people and we barely finished. This is my go-to-spot when I come back home for leave

You're hungry. You want breakfast. Your wife wants sweet. You want savory. All your kids want something different. Go to Suzie's. There's something for everyone, and even though you wanted something savory you will absolutely dive into a monster-sized cinnamon roll. There is almost always a line out the door, but it moves fast. The service has always been excellent. Come hungry and sleep off your happy cinnamon roll carbs, not even the bottomless coffee will help you there. So. Good.

We were excited to try a new place for breakfast, a friend raved about the cinnamon rolls. We arrived early, around 7:30am on a Sunday. Ordered a cinnamon roll to split with our kiddos. The place was clean, staff friendly, a little concerning that you have to walk past and compete with the beverage station in and out. Just thinking hot beverages and kids walking, but ok if it works for them. I ordered a cup of fruit with breakfast. My fruit was sad, 3 grapes, a soggy strawberry, 2 sliced of melon and the end of an orange (no actual fruit). My 2 year old had the French toast, while the portion of 1 slice was fine for him an older child would require more, for $2.59 I felt like they could have put a little fruit on the plate. But to each their own. My 14 year old enjoyed the hash brownd and eggs, he wasnt impressed with the biscuits and gravy saying it didnt have a won of flavor. I guess overall as a table we weren't overly impressed considering the time of day, it wasn't packed but the food wasn't memorable. It didn't scream to me, yes I can't wait to go back. Maybe we will try again some other time, reviews all look great.

Very busy at 9:00 on a Tuesday. That must say something. The delightful smells won't allow you to leave. The giant cinnamon roll was wonderful. The coffee was very good. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict. But the poached eggs were done perfectly.

When we lived in Indiana Suzie"s Cafe was our favorite spot for breakfast although their lunch and dinner selections are equally good. We make it a point to stop in whenever we are back visiting. The food and service are excellent and the bakery items are without equal in the area. Suzie's is a definite must stop when in Valparaiso you won't be disappointed.

Love this place. We visit everytime we are in town. The cinnamon rolls are HUGE! Homemade breads are great and thick sliced! Busy place, usually on a wait, but well worth the wait! Suzie is always there and makes sure its done right! Make sure to stop and pick up some goodies from the bakery case, I love the Banana Brownie!

I’m so sad we never knew about this place prior than today. A great find that’s slightly off the beaten path. A very nice variety of foods to choose from. We stopped in near closing time, but was never hurried or felt rushed while enjoying our meal. The owner herself made sure we were felt welcomed. The bakery offers so many beautiful and delicious different types of pastries. Will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend you do stop in and you’ll be delighted.
