What a great experience. We had the whole pig roast, roasted chicken, beans, slaw, mac n cheese for an engagement party. The absolute best bbq around. The catering services were top notch arrived on time were very pleasant with all of our guests. Definitely recommend Uncle Bub's. We are ordering again next week for my daughters 30th.

I was so disappointed that their pot roast sandwich, for the month of July, had so little meat. I don't think it was even 5 oz, as 4 of my bites in the roll had no meat. When I brought my disappointment to the manager's attention, he said it can be upgraded with another 3 oz, not sure what that would cost. Had a good flavor, just was hopeful I would get 2 meals out of it at that price. I did take the broccoli salad home and the green beans were good too. The grilled onions were more like onion strings, thin and crispy. I'm not likely to make the 35 minute pilgrimage anytime soon.

This place has won many awards and generally gets good reviews. To me the meat is dried out. The French fries are good in the restaurant but do not try to do carry out. They put them in a styrofoam container and the fries are a soggy mess by the time you get home.

The best of the best when it comes to BBQ in the South Suburbs! I always loved eating there and decided to hire them to cater my son's outdoor wedding last week for 100 people. Their prices, selection, and value are unmatched. We had brisket, chicken, pulled pork, corn, corn bread, mashed sweet potatoes, and Mac and Cheese and everyone raved about the food! I normally pay for more plates as the majority of places I cater from only provide barely enough for each person but not Uncle Bub's - they told me they provide a lot more per plate than their competitors and they were not kidding! The service of their team that setup was outstanding and they wanted to make sure I was ready to go before my guests arrived. I will definitely hire them again for my next outdoor event!!!

Stopped here for lunch, hoping to satisfy my BBQ craving. I decided to have their Taco Plate special, which consists of 3 tacos w/ choice of meats and 2 sides. I ordered the brisket, chicken and rib tacos, with baked beans and French fries for the sides. I also ordered a 5 oz serving of Burnt Ends. So there was nothing really wrong with my food. But it was just average. The tacos were nothing more than a few bits of lettuce, tomatoes and cheese w/ a few pieces of meat in a grilled tortilla. The fries were warm, but soggy and overcooked. It seemed like they were reheated or refried. Not good at all. And wrapping them in foil just steamed them even more. The baked beans tasted like they were straight from a can. Actually, I think I have had tasted better canned beans. Very generic and boring. And the burnt ends were really dry. They were smothered in a tasty sauce, but the meat was so dry it was almost inedible. So disappointed, and sorry I stopped. I have been here several times and always regret it. I live in the area and want to really love this place. It has a great reputation and everyone seems to like the food. But this is just not my idea of good barbecue. It is just so average.

From the start they were professional & organized and very quick to respond to emails. They worked with our budget & gave us ideas on how to save money with certain things which we really appreciated! Ashley was a dream to work with!! She answered all of my questions & handled every little detail. The food was phenomenal & we got soo many compliments from our guests!! The meats were DELICIOUS & we loved the side dishes as well! We had Uncle Bub's cater our wedding a few weeks ago. I did not stop hearing from our guests how amazing the food was. Many said it was the best wedding food they'd had! Uncle Bub's offers a wide selection of food for any event as well as amazing service. The quality of food was amazing (we had pulled pork, chicken breast and vegetarian pasta as our main dishes) as well as the quantity (Soo many leftovers! What other vendor offers that??). Needless to say, we are so pleased we booked with Uncle Bub's!

Moved to Westmont a few months ago and I have not stopped hearing about this place. Tried it for the first time yesterday and it definitely lives up to the talk! Service was super fast and friendly, the building itself is clean, cozy, and easy to find, and the food... let's just say it was some of the best pulled pork I've had in my life. You have to try this place at least once, though I'm sure you'll be coming back- I definitely will be.

I had the brisket it was rather chewy a little bit on the fatty side and doused in barbecue sauce which mask the taste of the meat. They might make really good pork ribs but as far as beef is concerned they're falling short.

My first time here on the recommendation of friends. Honestly not that impressed. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and chose fried mac & cheese and cornbread. The bun was really cold (probably fresh out of a fridge) and the chicken was lukewarm & fatty. Corn bread was tough. The mac and cheese balls were delicious, actually fresh & hot, and the best part of thus experience -1 star for each. Honestly, if you want good, FRESH bbq, keep driving down cass and go to Chucks. I've never had a bad meal there and I wish I'd just gone there again today...

Uncle Bub's BBQ is a must try for it's award winning BBQ sauce. I am so impressed with the interior and service. We had Uncle Bub's Sample Platter with fried Mac n cheese, hand cut French fries and corn bread. The platter includes 3 BBQ back ribs, pulled pork, BBQ sliced beef brisket, rib tips and BBQ chicken. Everything tasted wonderful, BBQ sauce indeed deserved to be awarded. Chicken wings were very tender and juicy.

I have had so many people tell us that we had the best food at our wedding! My parents and my husband’s parents also keep telling us how many people loved the food. Uncle Bub’s was the absolute best to work with. Ashley and Mark were incredible and made sure every little detail was taken care of. They were so quick to respond to any questions we had. Any time we went to the restaurant for a tasting or a meeting, they treated us like royalty. They talked through options of how to save money, and it felt like they truly cared about making us happy and excited for our wedding day. They were also all-stars on the wedding day itself. They set everything up exactly how I wanted.. They did an awesome job organizing everything - as far as I know, the entire day went exactly as planned. I can’t speak highly enough about them!!

My girlfriend loves this place. As for me, the food is good, but it's nothing really special. The cornbread is delicious, as is the corn. The baked beans are edible, but not better than the kind you get in a can. Pulled pork was tasty enough, and there was a variety of good sauces to choose from. The rib tips don't have enough meat, the fried chicken is tough and doesn't have much flavor, and the fried mac n cheese is awful.

My son and his then fiancé decided early on that they wanted Uncle Bubs for their rehearsal dinner. Mark was all too happy to have been chosen to provide dinner, but insisted we meet with him to review the options and taste the items they wanted. While they had an idea what they wanted, after tasting the many options they decided on the pulled pork and pulled chicken which was not what they thought they would choose. Needless to say, Mark and his team including the servers who attended to our every need were incredible! Everyone who attended were extremely impressed with the presentation and taste. It was my son's bday and decided to take him here. It was our first time at the restaurant. I will not be going back. Ordered the ribs, fish tacos and chicken dinner. The entire fish taco meal was cold and the ribs dry. Later in the evening my fiance ended up getting sick from the chicken meal. I do not recommend.

Also took to long cause we had to wait for 35 minutes for or food to come yes you red that right and the food wasn't even good. I was hoping it would be good y’all cause I drove along way but it turned out to be overpriced garbage in a rich a$$ neighborhood. Should have gone to a fast food restaurant instead. Did I mention they don't even have the courtesy of coming to your table to take you’re order they make you walk up to the counter and then they get all mad when you aint give them a tip and the manager gave us a attitude about it. Who I supposed to give a tip to if I don't get no service also I wouldn’t give no tip anyway cause the food portions so damn small? Did I mention me and my family got sick after we came home and I almost threw up and my son had diarheria and my husband felt was sick and. Rating is 1 star and nobody gonna making me change my mind don’t care if I’m bribed a million dollars to take this down the people deserves to now the truth and y’all can’t do nothing about it yes I was here last Wednesday or Tuesday God works in mysterious ways Amen. ,,

Bub's has great reviews so I was really expecting better. I had a brisket sandwich -- I'd never suggest even a dog eat it. I can't be sure this was even smoked, it certainly doesn't taste like it and it's so chewy I'd expect it to be microwaved. Waste of money, ended up throwing half my food out.

Always great bbq here at Uncle Bubs . They have a bunch of catering trucks parked outside with good reason. Had the ribs....nice and tender ...and saucy with a good level of smoke. Chose the mac n cheese balls (one of their signature sides...careful...they are HOT when they come to your table) and also coleslaw which was good as well. Brisket is good also and service is always tops. Good solid choice always.

I was very surprised on how bad the food tasted. The onion blossom was almost totally burnt to a crisp. They said that is the way it is made. The rib tips were very dry. It seems like to they over smoked the meat. I have eaten there before and the food was good. I am not going back there. Bad overall taste. Could not get a credit or have something different to eat. I put the food in the garbage, that is how bad it was.

We just had our wedding on Friday and we had Uncle Bubs as our catering. I cannot be more happy with the experience. From the very being the entire staff was more then helpful. During the whole process they were right there helping is with anything we needed and the staff is more then friendly. They are award winning bbq featuring a real authentic ...no shortcuts here this is the best natural smoke bbq you can get... I have had many types of bbq from sweet to spicy ..slow cook to fast braise...I will say this place is at its best at peak hours as like all bbq places when you have a bad experience its because you got there too late...ever been to a cook out and there was nothing left ..well I only had one disappointing meal there at westmont..and that's very good I have been there 50 plus times so sure I did have a bad day once...but if you seen how much it takes to put out a good bbq it is not fast food ..however you don't wait long here .. This place has the best food. Apparently that's already known, so let me tell you something you may not know. This establishment runs on care, smiles and a nostalgic atmosphere. Something about this place makes you feel like you're at your best friend's backyard barbecue. The green beans smelled like what I could only describe as sweaty feet and the odor was far to rancid for me to even consider taking a bite. The cornbread was okay, but I have had much better. The French fries were acceptable, a little soggy though. The barbecue sauce was good (and much needed) but the brisket was dry and hard to swallow. It was like I was trying to swallow drywall. We had to wait 40 minutes for the food to come out and it was a very expensive meal. Extremely disappointing experience to say the least. Would not recommend to anyone.

Went for the first time on my mom's birthday. She loved loved the ribs and she is a hard critic of ribs. My 6 yr old son kept correcting me stating the ribs are not just good but excellent. I loved the melt in your mouth pulled pork. The best experience of all was Dave the manager, he was so kind and inviting. He brought to our table ice cream, for my son.For my mothers birthday, he brought a bottle of bbq sauce to her. Plus Dave thanked my husband for his service, USMC. The fallen soldier table is respectful, humbling and an honor to see. I can't get enough of the sauce. I usually come here cause I'm not a big rib or pork fan. Uncle Bub's is one of the few places that makes burgers and did I mention how good the sauce is??

Great BBQ!! Favorite in the Chicago area. Avoid the corn, it's usually overcooked and soft.

They are busy all the time, and for good reason! This BBQ is one of the best in the area. Friendly staff, and they know what's gluten free and what is not. Special sodas are on tap, and the booths are friendly and homey. I've ate at the restaurant and through their catering service, and its always consistently good!

The ham for the Wednesday special is amazing. Highly recommend the mac and cheese balls. The other bbq is so so. Really miss the pot roast dip sandwich

We hired Uncle Bub’s to cater our wedding reception. Everything worked out great. Our first meeting with Mark was very helpful. He walked through everything with us and really showed us how much Uncle Bub’s can assist with an event. They handled not only the food, but arranged for the linens and place settings and their staff helped day of with the set-up of decorations on the tables. They were professional, knowledgeable, and organized down to a very detailed level, which took a huge load off our plates with planning. It was great to know we could rely on them. On top of all the help they offer, the food was delicious! Everyone loved the food and there was plenty available so no one went home hungry.

Uncle Bub's catered our wedding. They were great and really provide a wide range of services. Not only the food, but they also took care of cutting and serving our cake. They can also provide linens and napkins/silverware packages. Mark was super helpful from our very first meeting and gave us contact info for a bunch of resources like photographers, florists, and officiants. And the food was delicious and we got to take the leftovers home. Final cost came out to about $35/person with tax and labor and everything included.

The food here is awesome! Have not had a bad mail yet and come here often. Staff and servers are young however everyone is very well trained. Food is always yummy and hot. Takeout is great as well, always efficient and never have to wait. Love this place!

We tried this place for the first time, we wanted to have the 1/2 rib 1/2 bbq chicken....no chicken, management blames Naperville rib fest. So ribs it was, the came out cool, no warmth, last 3 ribs on each slab were burnt beyond eating, garlic beans were good, coleslaw too. Maybe management will reach out to offer us a return trip, will see
