We had a large group with 40 people for a 90th Birthday party. The service was fantastic. The food was very good. They have a TV so we could play a video. It was a little crowded and warm in the room but everyone had a great time.

We go to Sunrise fairly regularly. They are small and intimate and they close and open early. We've never been for breakfast or lunch. The food is American mainstream. Beef Stroganoff, Burgers, Gyros plate, etc. And it's better than what you would expect from a small shop tucked in a strip mall. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. It's BYOB. It's reasonably priced. The last time we were there, I had the stroganoff and my husband had a chicken special with a huge chicken breast served on a mountain of rice with a lime sauce. We both had soup and he had a beet salad, garlic bread and soft drinks and with tax, less than $40.

The food was great. However there were 3 young children at a table several tables at from us that were screaming throughout our entire breakfast, then running and shouting while the parents simply ignored them. It made breakfast unbearable. I overheard a waitress making a statement that made it clear that the family were regulars, and the children regularly behaved like that. I would not go back, fearing having to listen ti that again. I literally was plugging my ears while trying to eat.

The food is outstanding and the cost to dine there is not. It is very reasonable. Presentation of your meal is exquisite. However the decor is diner like so keep that in mind. Dress is casual. Another great feature is the restaurant is b.y.o.b. We have never been disappointed with dining there.

I'm confused about the comment about a cork fee. We recently had a large family party there and we were told we could bring our own beverages. We had champagne and wine and were not charged a cork fee. The food was good and the service was fantastic! The menu offered enough choices even for those with dietary issues including gluten. We would definitely recommend!

This is a Great Place. Breakfast is Great. Never been there for lunch but I do know Dinner is phenomenal. The Chicken Parmesian is like no other. Service is great and they have alot of choices. They have great soups and serve garlic bread. Its a Small but Mighty Place. BYOB.

Absolutely awful experience. We , party of 2, waited 15-20 minutes to be seated. The place was full, so this wasn’t bad at all. We were seated without menus. Numerous other tables were seated after us and given menus. Since nobody was paying any attention to us, I went to the hostess desk where I was told that they don’t have anymore menus but would get them to us ASAP. Finally got a menu. Ordered coffee, soup, and food. Coffee and soup came quick. After finishing my coffee, I waited ~35 minutes. Never got a coffee refill. Never was checked on by our waitress. Never got our food. We then canceled our order and left. We never saw or tasted our breakfast. Overall, about 75-80 minutes in total, had soup (thank god) and 1 tiny cup of coffee, despite sitting with and empty cup for 35 minutes.

I was in Rosemont for a convention. All the restaurants near the hotels were busy, overpriced and snobbish, so on the last day I ventured slightly further away and found Sunrise Grill Des Plaines . Amazing food, good folks and not too busy, even on a Sunday. They have a good breakfast variety. Exotic combos for the people that like that stuff and plain old bacon & eggs and biscuits & gravy for people like me. Not to mentions big portions and reasonable prices. Definitely worth driving a few blocks away from the madness if you're ever stuck at the Rosemont convention center. This is Northwest subburbs best kept secret.

My wife and I were in Des Plaines Illinois for a day and decided on this restaurant for breakfast the following morning. What a delight this place is! The food was every bit as good as the service. Sunrise Grill is a hidden gem in the area. It's a diner that serves a good meal for not a lot of money. I'm a big fan of breakfast and always seem to order breakfast items for lunch when I come here. I've been a fan of everything I've tried here. It's not breakfast that's going to change your life but it certainly will fill your belly for just a few bucks. The place is cute, the staff is always friendly, and there are a lot of locals that frequent the restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortably casual.

'Grill' might suggest some mediocre food. It looks like a grill too! That could not be further from the truth when it come to the food! The food is on par with many 'high end' restaurants, without the 'high end' prices. It is a BYOB restaurant - no corkage charged. The Beat salad is fantastic.. If I had to mark it down for anything, my linguine was garlic overload - however, garlic was one of the few ingredients mentioned on that dish - so my fault! It was still great. Portions are more than adequate. Give it a try - I would find it hard to believe if someone didn't give the food top marks.

Breakfast around they have different specials that are on the board and I've tried most of them they are different and very good and I like different kind of thing sometimes when you go in there one of the best waitresses in their name is Amanda but she's there 4 th Saturday only of every month and then Sunday is the nicest waitress you'll find very outgoing very fast and I had her feet just a pleasant breakfast and experience must go I live in Wheeling and I drove all the way over there for breakfast that's how much I like it So go on down and check it out don't be shy.and see Amanda and tell her big Joe sent ya.

The kitchen looked real clean.. like you could perform surgery back there. The service was very good. They all helped each other fill drinks which meant I always had a full cup of coffee. They had some unique food options which is gold if you want to try something out of the ordinary but also had the classics. And they had very affordable price points. Highly recommended.

Classic family diner with many different foods. Wasn’t too busy and the service was friendly and the food didn’t take very long. They have lots of breakfast options, with some lunch as well. The omelette was very good, though it wasn’t quite as solid as some would like it. The pancakes are really good, very filling and fluffy. Prices are certainly reasonable. The location is a bit strange but don’t pass it up because of that.

What a find! Wonderful food in a plain ol' strip mall. For instance - the basic house salad was lovely mixed greens with a delicious home-made basalmic vinegrette. Very satisfying!

Sunrise is tucked in a strip mall and can be easily missed, but don't. This place is a gem. A diverse menu, helpful and patient waitstaff, BYOB, and really good food. They seem to be popular with groups. There is a room off to one side where it looks like the groups tend to be seated. There were four groups tonight, three of which carried in wine. Sunrise provides glasses and doesn't charge a corkage fee. The salad presentation was beautiful, very upscale. It was very fresh and tasty. The Chicken Marsala special was fantastic. It was served with mashed potatoes and served atop homemade corn relish with the corn cut from the cob. The staff worked with my food allergies. The sauce wasn't premade, so they could accommodate my particular allergies. My party was at our table for almost three hours, as was another group. They never rushed us and welcomed our return. One tip, sunrise closes at 8:00 pm, so be sure to get there early.

We went to this place on a whim and this quiet place did not disappoint! By far, the best crab benedict and corned beef hash I've tasted in a while. I've been to places that supposedly specialize in crab benedict out in SFO and they don't even come close to this! All at an amazingly low price! I was quite surprised to not see this place crowded on a Saturday morning. Granted, we were there around 11a, so the breakfast crowd already left, but I am quite surprised, nonetheless. If you're trying to have something to where you won't need to eat all day and shop at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago, this place will give you what you need.
