I eat here a couple times a month and it's always fresh and consistent, the chicken tacos are awesome. The steak quesadilla is good as well. Never had a problem except sometimes they sell out of tamales past 6 pm. Which is more of an indicator how much food they sell if you ask me.

Words cannot describe how great this place is. These are the best tacos I've ever had and I've had a lot of tacos from many different places. Pancho's you take the cake. Not only that but unlike many other places you see your money hard at work every time you go. They are always adding something to the restaurant but yet the food never suffers. I've never had a bad experience here at Pancho's, if you want amazing authentic Hispanic food I would highly recommend going to Pancho's!

It was my first time there and I ordered a torta. It was actually pretty good, they use good steak. Price for the torta was a little higher than most other places and they charge you almost a dollar to use a debit or credit card.

Finally found that hole in the wall authentic Mexican food in the suburbs! Located next to a 7-Eleven. Not exactly the best looking store front but in my experience this is the kind of place that has the good stuff. I had the lengua torta and it was delicious! The lengua has good flavor to it and very tender. During our visit, we found out that on Wednesdays tacos are $.99 all day excluding lengua. I'm definitely going back.

Stopped by for a quick bite before my daughter's basketball game. First - service at the counter was really good. Nice guy, gave me suggestions and told me to grab a seat wherever open. Chips and salsa came super quick, with the chicken tacos following quick behind. They gave me three salsas - a habanero based one, a standard red and a green. I'm not a green salsa guy, but the hot one was exactly that... Hot (in a good way). The red ended up being my go-to, and that's what I mainly ate. Tacos were simple, which in my book is a good thing, and flavorful. Especially even combined with the red salsa. Scarfed them down, was wished a good day by the server and the guy behind the counter. My daughter has basketball games for the rest of the weekend, and I'm assuming I'll be back at least once a day for lunch and maybe dinner too.

We catered from here for a birthday party and I was impresssed by the service and food. Even though it was a last minute order they were able to prepare food for 20 people in 1 hour. All of our guests raved how delicious the tacos were. Some family members said they were the best tacos they ever had catered. I will be ordering from Panchos again soon.

Love panchos on Wise. We had them cater our sons graduation party. They came out with grills to cook the taco meet (made to order) and the taco bar spread....AMAZING! That was 4 years ago! People still talk about it. We still go there regularly. My husband and son ger their steak burrito, i love the alpastor tacos. Yum!

I ordered a chicken burrito, no tomato. I received A tortilla filled with lots of rice and very very very little lettuce, cheese, sour cream and VERY VERY little chicken. Couldn't even see it. I think they're was supposed to be beans also, but there were none. I didn't have time to take it back, iit didn't taste bad, just wasn't what I expected for a burrito in this area.

The steak tacos are THE BOMB (and I like their green sauce, which is the mild one). They have Taco Wednesdays instead of Taco Tuesdays, which drops the price to $1.00/taco; of course, they're half the size of the full, regular version, but ANY size is delicious. Panchos is one of the most pleasant local discoveries in recent memory for me. Many of the objective reviews for this place give it high marks, and I'm going to join in to echo those sentiments with my own experience, which was delightful. The first thing my father and I were greeted by was an enthusiastic employee who gave us the option to sit down and enjoy our meal or take it to go. We decided to sit down, not realizing that he would be our server and that this small mom and pop operation actually offered full-service dining. Friendly, and quick to answer questions, he was the first indicator that we were in for a great experience. Starting with the chips and salsa that hit the table (complimentary with every order), freshness was a theme. Every vegetable flavor was bold and characteristic. My dad remarked at how the tomatoes actually had a distinct tomato flavor compared to all the other rather watery tomatoes he has tasted from other local places. The salsas each have distinct flavors as well, with the mild green salsa having an earthy umami to it, the hot orange salsa having a delayed kick that lingers a bit, and the red salsa being a nice, flavorful middle ground. I went ahead and ordered off their specials section, which featured combinations of different dishes (tacos, burritos, empanadas, etc in combination with each other.) and went with a steak burrito and a pastor taco. The first noteworthy thing is neither of these, funnily enough... its the rice. Panchos rice (which comes as a side of or is part of a majority of dishes) is cooked perfectly. Tender, with a slight bite, and seasoned lightly with the usual Hispanic rice spices. The burrito was also superb, and quite large. Two moderate appetites could finish this with ease and would find the steak to be both well seasoned and tender. The rest of the filling (lettuce, cheese, etc) complemented nicely and seemed to be just as fresh as the tomatoes found earlier in the meal. The taco al pastor was also delicious, however, the pork was less tender and flavorful than the steak. The al pastor was by no means bad, just not nearly as impressive as the steak preparation. For what Panchos is (a family owned restaurant, casual setting, etc), there is more than enough merit to award a five-star review. This type of restaurant doesn't have to blow minds to obtain this, but it does have to satisfy you and subvert the common missteps so many others of its kind often suffer from. The freshness and quality of its food alone merits a look from anyone to who hasn't been into Panchos.

I tried a steak taco, al pastor taco and barbacoa taco. The first two were gross. The meat tasted old and al pastor should NOT have chorizo in it! The barbacoa taco was great. Earned them two stars. Visit Taqueria El Asadero in the neighborhood of Lincoln Square in Chicago and you won’t regret it! They were voted number one in the city and that says a lot!
