Our wedding planner suggested we meet with Entertaining Company (EC) as our caterers for our big day. We met with Kenny (our planner talked to him about our rough ideas), and Kenny put on a beautiful show for us. We sat and had drinks and apps (decided on 5 appetizers). We moved on to the dining room which was decorated to his interpretation on our rough ideas we had given our planner. IT WAS GORGEOUS! The served beautifully plated entrees, each more delicious than the last (I love a great short rib, but I got to say the vegetarian options stood out to me). We decided to go for four different entrees and a wide assortment of desserts and late night snacks for the wedding. EC showed up to the final walk-through of our wedding venue and worked seamlessly with the staff to organize the entire event space. They are extremely professional; they make everything so easy. My mother went on to hire them for 2 small parties with her friends. For the price and quality, you cannot find a better place!

If you’re thinking about using Entertaining Company - look no further, seriously. I used Entertaining Company for my wedding in August 2018 and they were absolutely outstanding. All of the staff working, from Banquets to Servers to Bartenders, is highly professional and well-trained. Presentation of all food was careful and consistent. Everything tasted amazing and we got tons of compliments from guests on the food! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We hired Entertaining Company (EC) for our wedding and reception. Kenny and Jillian were excellent. Jillian at communicating and logistics and Kenny at the vision, look and ideas. They were both great at the execution part. The quality of the food that EC provides is very high and the presentation is far better from anything we have seen from any other caterer ever. Our guests LOVED the food, both Indian on the wedding night and Global Fusion on the reception night. We were able to bring the menus together with a lot of trial and error and recommendations from Kenny and Jillian. They helped with getting the right amount of food and the right combination of food that would complement each other.Their experience of working with Indian and global cuisines was the primary reason we went with EC. On both days, we (bride and groom) were assigned an attendant who made sure we had food and drinks. The staff was highly attentive to our guests and did a great job! Overall, we were VERY happy that we picked EC for our wedding and reception catering.

Want a roaming raw bar, they got it. A waiter dispensing drinks from a backpack he's wearing so he can roam the party, that's easy. I have no idea where to start...my husband and I had such an amazing experience working with Julie & her team in planning our wedding and then on our wedding day. From a planning perspective, when we begun planning the food was the item we were the most perplexed about since I'm indian and my husband is not indian. We were struggling coming up with a way to have a wedding that combined our favorite aspects of both cultures while also making sure our guests felt welcome and comfortable. Thanks to Julie we were able to make that a reality. She helped us create the absolutely perfect menu, took all of our feedback from the tastings and never hesitated to provide her opinions based on her expertise. Working with her from day 1 we were completely at ease because of her wonderfully welcoming personality. And then there was the wedding day...which was absolute perfection. I want to highlight a couple of details from the wedding day that our guests told us about that still stand out to me and help attest to the amazing service entertaining company provides. Several of our guests told us about how no matter where they were during the cocktail hour - the servers would come and find them to make sure they got food. During dinner, one of my uncles ordered chicken but then when he saw the fish meal he realized he wanted fish. It would have been completely normal for a server to say no but instead they brought him out fish too! During dessert, my brother told a server that my grandma is allergic to eggs and they brought our a separate tray just for her with all the non-egg desserts. Those are just a couple of mentions of their amazing service but there are many many more examples. And then, of course, their food tasted absolutely amazing - it was just as good as our tastings, if not better! If you're trying to decide which caterer to work with, don't look any further than Entertaining Company ... especially if you're doing a fusion wedding. By the end of the night all of our guests were so satisfied and that is in large part because of the food :). Thank you Julie & Team! I hope we get a chance to work with you again.

We worked with Kenneth Woodman and Team at Entertaining Company and could not have been happier. Kenneth was a joy to work with, and always thinking of the details to make the event professional, elegant, and FUN! We have never received more compliments on the food at our Gala,giving a modern touch to a traditional greek menu (we were at the National Hellenic Museum after all!) and the table settings were gorgeous. The team day of was incredible, keeping guests happy (even as we had some technical difficulties) with drinks and food so that everyone left happy and full. I've worked with many caterers in Chicago, and Entertaining Company is the only one that thinks carefully with you, as a collaborator, about your entire event, which is huge for a small company like ours. Hire them!
