Expect 10-2p minute wait around lunch time. Parking can be a challenge. It is worth it if you like good Poke. They have great bento (box lunch). Look at Tanioka's Facebook page on Tuesday to find word of the day. Say the the word and they give you free item.

Everytime we come back to Oahu, we always enjoyed the poke that our family bought from this place. This time we finally went to the store and was amazed at all the great food. The parking is limited, so either get here early when the store first opens, or expect to wait for a spot. Items do run out, so getting here early is key. When we went at 11am on a Monday, there was already a line of people outside. Once inside, you can order different kinds of yummy poke, haupia-ube pie, glazed poi andagi, poi mochi, chicken katsu, lumpia, bento, spam musubi, and so on. We'd eat here everyday if we had something like this in San Diego. If you're in Oahu and you like to eat, you owe it to yourself to come here and enjoy what great local food is all about. Definitely going back again!

Love the fried chicken and musings. The poke is also always good. Quality of the food is pretty much always great. The security guard helping to guide the line is very nice. Only real issue is when inside that sometimes the line gets congested and people aren't sure when to move around.

Gotta try the jumbo shrimp with special sauce! And the lumpia is perfect!!! This place is unforgettable and my family's favorite. Price is just right and absolutely worth it for quality food.

PLAN at least a 1/2 hour in advance. You can go straight to the cashier to pick up your phone order. KOREAN TACO POKE IS THE ONLY TACO POKE THAT I EAT FROM ANYWHERE!!! ONE-OF-A-KIND!!! Saves you from that crazy line - Only if you can RESIST those other tempting selections.

Location and parking kinda sucks, but when you produce poke flavors like Tanioka's, it's worth the drive, frustrating parking, long lines, and high prices. Always a winnah with anything you order!!! Family favorite is the sesame tako poke!!

This place never disappoints! The poke, fried ahi belly, fish patties, and mochiko chicken are a must! Be prepared to wait in a long line (it moves pretty quickly though), and tight parking. It's worth it!

Extremely delicious poke. I had the spicy ahi on white rice and it was some of the best I've ever had. Everything else in the case looked just as good. The line was very long, which is a good sign for that type of place. Orders could beade in bulk, which I imagine would make for a great party tray or buffet.

Fantastic Local Japanese kine grinds as always! Love the glazed Poi Andagis and Tanioka's has a fantastic selection of Poke. Many menu items in this take out only restaurant run out quickly (that's how ONO the food is) so go early!

Glad to find they were open on labor day but left dissatisfied. Waited in line to buy a few pounds of poke but got to the counter where only two kinds of Ahi poke and less than one pound total, remained. We took the last half pound of limu poke and left the remaining for the people behind us. We were lucky that there was at least something for us to buy but there was a line of people behind us and no announcement was made that they would be standing in line for no reason because there was nothing available.

The food is great. The lines are long. The menu includes options to ala carte, order plate lunch, or poke bowls. They have a system to move people quickly through the long line. Tanioka's is a local staple. Parking can be challenging. Arrive early or during off peak. They also cater and the food is equally good. Visit and you won't be disappointed.
