I love getting the salad bar, it's one of the best choices in town. I also highly recommend the Redneck Eggrolls, they are amazing! The BBQ is very good and well done, the Smoking Gun sandwich is one of my favorites. One of the best places in Somerset, if you haven't been, definitely give it a shot!

I used the on line ordering. Big mistake!! The sweet potato was tiny and charred. The barbecue brisket sandwich had so little meat on it i had trouble tasting anything but bread. The worst thing was food temp. Barely warm! The confirmation said it would be ready in 17 mins. My guess was it took about 5 mins then it set next to the register until i picked it up. Normally Sonny's is a great place to eat and I have been there many times. It appears the on line ordering has a few problems that need to be worked out. I will definitely go back to Sonny's but won't use the on line ordering.

Typically we have had a decent experience there. But tonight my husband was served raw chicken, we asked for bread that we ordered when we order our food to begin with that never came then took another 15 minutes for that. We all sat with empty cups for over 10 minutes, when the server finally brought us another drink my husband immediately asked for a to go cup to pour it in because we were at that point ready. It never came he brought us our to go box but no check we finally had to get up and start heading to the front before we could even pay

I read the reviews thought it might be okay. I ordered the three meat plate they were out of jalapeno cheese sausage. So I ordered memphis-style wet ribs and dry rub ribs all the ribs came out wet four of them had dry rub sprinkled on top of them. Was very very disappointed.

We've always like Sonny's, and now that the one's in Athens and Conyers Georgia have closed we don't come up this way much. But we'll be stopping when we do. Very clean, friendly service, good food. It was awful. We got there about 7:30 they close at 10:00 so we had plenty of time. They were out of everything. Our waitress kept disappearing. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them. They were not busy at this time. My grandkids got a salad I asked for some silverware she said as soon as I can. We ordered some cornnuggets as an appetizer never got them. We were about done with our meal she came over and said they were out. She offered egg rolls in place we said ok but we never got them. I was really disappointed in this place. Most of the time it's ok. I will have to think about going back on a Saturday night. Our table was sticky. And so was the floor. I can understand some of the things if they were really busy before we got there. But not the service. She was not friendly at all never smiled once. She acted like we were an innconvience to her.

I had a catering order for an event we hosted at our school. The food was ready when promised, the order was correct, and the food was hot and delicious. We definitely got our money worth and our guest loved the food. We will be using the catering service again in the future.

I took my 15 year old son thats in a wheelchair to your restaurant and when we got there they put us on a table between to big tables we had to pick the back of the wheelchair to get him up to the table there was more empty tables they wasn't busy when I said something to the waitress she acted like she didn't hear me so we went ahead and ordered and not even 5 mins later food came out we had just got our salad plates the food was so cold that I had my dinner packed up and brought home so I could warm it up I tried to say something to chelsea and she gave us the check well Angela was nice enough to help me and so when I called to talk to the manager at 11 am this morning he was like I will talk to my servers sorry and hung up the phone this was a waste of 60.00 I have never had to say im sorry to my disable son but he was upset

Most time food is good, ribs ask for center cut if want meat on them. Servers are nice and have been there or around when need refills or another order. Business stays busy most of time. Sweet Tea is awesome. Prices are average to other bbq places

Big restaurant feel, but exceptional small town cooking. Enjoyed a variety sample dinner with smoked and barbeque styles of pork and brisket. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs on this, our first visit. Sides were equally impressive. We visited to invest in real estate, however it's good to know that a great place to dine is just around the corner! Friendly staff as well.

The ribs, the meat comes right off the bone. the pulled pork is really really good. you got four different choices of, yes, four different types of barbecue sauce. you get helping of something to drink. they got good side dishes. I don't think I could really say anything bad about this place. Oh wait...they are only open till 10 p.m. There's the bad I guess.

Can’t review the food without tasting it, but I’ll review the establishment.Sonny’s is very expensive for a drive through/fast food place. My sister and I traveled through on vacation and stopped because they had good reviews. Im not one to give bad reviews unless it’s warranted but for $37, 2 sandwiches, 1 side, a flat soda, and missing items I’ll honestly tell experience. CHECK YOUR BAG is my advice and own fault for trusting someone word. I didn’t get to try the food so it’s not fair to say it’s bad just yet. We ordered 2 meals and that includes 1 sandwich, 1 side, and a drink totaling $37 and some change. We were eating on the go so I requested butter for the corn bread, extra BBQ sauce on the side (twice) and napkins to go. Rudely I was told, “it’s all in the bag” as the drive thru line got longer and we waited 20 mins for our food (which is not a complain, I don’t mind waiting for what I want). We got 30 miles down the road and found a very dry sandwich, no butter, no napkins, 1 missing side of corn bread and a flat soda. We definitely didn’t get extra bbq sauce. There’s no sauce on the sandwich to begin with and I’m not normally someone who complains but for a huge mess up and expensive fast food, I’m definitely disappointed. Money is money and can’t buy happiness but I do expect to get what I paid, especially when paying high prices in hopes of a decent meal.

I got the pulled pork sandwich, my wife got the three meat platter and our daughter got the chicken. Our food came quickly, and everything was freshly prepared. Clearly Sonny's is the best kept secret in Somerset.

This is a very good place. The sides are great, especially the cole slaw which is fabulous. The spare ribs are sometimes dry and overdone, but the sliced pork is heavenly, moist, tender and juicy. It is pricey, but the food is delicious.

We ate there for lunch. Great server. We ordered lunch portions of chicken (2 orders) and 1 turkey plate. They say it is by weight, but the turkey always seems scant compared to the chicken, pork, or beef. It is tasty, though. For sides we had fries, baked beans, and broccoli. Make sure you ask them to steam the broccoli or it comes cold. I knew from experience to ask for it streamed. If you order unsweet tea, they place a spoon in it. I don't like silverware in my drinks and so, I ask for them not to place one in my drink. Server brought me lemons and packaged sauce as I asked. Overall a great experience for a sit-down meal.

It seemed the waitress was really swamped and became forgetful with trying to handle the many routine service tasks. We had to be patient in receiving silverware, plates needed for salad bowl, and having our drinks refilled. Also, we were not quite sure if we had to wait to pay check at our seat or take care of the check at the front window. Food made up for the dissatisfaction, but the ceiling fan was on full power which made our food cold rapidly...

Service was a little on the slow side. When the waitress brought my food it was missing the fried onions. When I asked about it she had not looked to make sure the food was right before she brought it to the table. Then I had to wait for onions to be cooked. I was happy to wait just really struck me that the waitress was not on her game. The server should always look at the plate to make sure all is right. And expecting the customer to over look it is wrong. Other than that food was great. Just sorry service Would have left a 20% tip but she bad service left $5.23 on a $32 check. If she only did the job right she may have gotten more.

I enjoyed my meal at Sonny's in Somerset, KY. It was hard to find a handicap parking place. The restaurant was very busy. As a party of one, I was seated quickly in the bar area. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My food was brought to my table fairly quickly. The food was great. There were ample servings. Everything was good except the parking.

I love sonny's! It has been over 8 years since I have been able so order my beloved sliced pork on garlic toast with there amazing mild BBQ sauce, Since the sonny's near my home town was closed. Needless to say, I ordered 2. The staff was wonderful and the food was everything I remembered. I cant recommend the establishment enough! After I told my waitress that I hadn't had sonny's in such a long time, she told the store owner who gave me a free sandwich on my way out. Thank y'all soooo much! Will try and make it back soon.

I stopped in this store two days ago on the way home from my grandmother's funeral. I ordered food "to go" because we had our dog in car. I tipped the lady $8.00 on a $43.17 meal that she did nothing to earn. I then realized I forgot my drinks and ordered two sweet teas "to go" . The check should have been $5.81 as my receipt shows. "Lacey W." however decided to help herself to another $7.19 tip on my bank card without my authorization. I am saddened that she didn't appreciate the generous tip she did nothing to earn and decided to steal more money from me. I am a business owner and this employee would be terminated immediately. You can clearly see the impression of the merchant receipt also has a line through the tip amount. I wish I had the option of no stars.

Went there 2 days in a row for camp. They accommodated 20 of us the 2nd day. Solid service, food was great. Unfortunate ran out of brisket by the time we sat down,a lso ran out of corn. We've come to the same Sonny's every summer for the past 10 years. Service for the large groups we've brought has always been positive.

Staff was great. Katy was our server and was awesome. Very quick service and was available at a drop of the hat for everything without rushing or bothering us. Food was ok. I say that because as a BBQ chain, I expect pretty good food. The sides were good but the brisket lacked flavor. Also the portion sizes are small except for the sides and drinks.

Hi Folks , Well just let you know a few things, I am at banks crossing eating your food, the staff doesnt know their job, we were asked how and what kinda of chicken we wanted, breast and a thigh, well got a wing and half a chicken breast, we had to ask for simple things like the thigh x 3 and drink refill, slaw, and at one point we had , just gave up! This is the worst place to eat, not because of the half potion but sorry service, after 3 x some came out gave us a thigh and leg! The food was good, the service is a plan killer! Do not do this its not worth the effort! We wont come back! Recommend anywhere you like just not here!

Lunch for 2 $39.00 will come back again. Hubby loved the redneck egg rolls, and the environment was much more calm and relaxed than Texas Road House.

I wish the old store near us had been remodeled, it would have made it if they had just put some money back into it. This does in Commerce is very nice.

Really good barbecue. They offer a homemade sauce that’s not too bad, but their sweet sauce is excellent. The staff is friendly and fast. Great parking. The booths are sort of comfortable, but the other seating is rock hard uncomfortable. Also, the lighting inside is harsh and industrial. I’m in a business that knows lighting and theirs isn’t conducive to presenting a nice dining atmosphere.
