First time in Savannah and I heard great things but I was highly disappointed. I ordered the hamburger steak meal with collards and rice. Everything was overly sweet which was odd. Rice was under cooked. No cornbread and chicken was not ready. I was asked if I wanted to tip before i even got served.

I made my order online for 7 people. Once at the restaurant to pick up the order, I was told i needed to pick different menu items because what I wanted wasn't available. I was told that I needed to call before making an online order. The lady taking orders and fixing plates had on a long wig, with no proper hair restraints/nets in place. My first time visiting and I was highly UNSATISFIED!! This was at the Skidaway location...maybe the others are better managed.

It was terrible ☹️ for my 1st time on a Sunday at noon. I placed an ToGo order . Got into my car my dad started to taste his food. He said to me You better hurry up and eat it . It's really cold. He had Oxtails dressing and rice $21 I had baked chicken, dressing, Mac and cheese, and collard greens.

We got our food to go. Overall the food was good. However, we didn't get cornbread with our order. I got the banana pudding, and it definitely wasn't homemade. There were no bananas, and there was only one wafer. I only took a few bites and threw the rest away. We were also surprised that we could get hot sauce to go.

Sisters of the new south is an experience not to be missed. The service is phenomenal & the food is amazing. The eating area is cozy & the restrooms are clean. There are vegetarian options (other than just salad) as well as lots of meats for those who aren't. I'll definitely be visiting again. ❤❤❤

TERRIBLE! The last time I came here I was upset! But here I am giving another chance. TERRIBLE! If I could rate lower I would. I had a to go order. They said it would be ready at 4:30 and I didn’t get my food for another hour! I also called AHEAD to confirm before I left my house and the lady said “yes it will be ready”.. LIES! I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK ANYMORE!

Awesome meat and three joint!!! Fabulous food yummy cafeteria style serving with lite wait service. You get your food and place drink order at counter and pay. Super server brings silverware drinks and stuff to your table. Soooo yummy I threatened to divorce my wife and marry the cook!!!! Will definitely return! Come as you are. No formal dress required. Just an appetite and your pleasant personality! Come and eat! Dinner is ready! Thanks girls for a great yummy dinner!!!!

I came here with my lady while visiting Savannah. So many good reviews but a complete let down right from the time we walked in the door. Customer service was non existent. Not friendly at all. Food looked like it had been sitting for a long time. I would like to come back but my better judgment will more than likely keep me away. Had the staff at least been more friendly probably would consider giving it another chance. We showed up an hour before they closed and were told we could not fine in. Seriously I can see 10 minutes. But an hour.

Avoid at all cost. I ordered barbecue ribs through Uber eats. I got a phone call saying that the ribs were out in the choose another meat. I asked about the fried chicken. I was told that they have fried chicken it was switch the barbecue ribs for the chicken. I got smothered chicken instead. That wasn’t what I ordered. When I called I was told I can get a credit on my next order. What makes them think I’m going to order from them again?The food was OK but not great. I will not order from them again.

I was excited about going to Sisters while I was vacationing . First day I came around 3:00 pm and they were out of yams, dressing, and hamburger steak. Went next day, no yams or chicken. Got steak macncheese greenbeans and mash potatoes. Macncheese was dry, gravy salty, mash ok. Sisters is overrated. I wont be back. Staff is very nice but I wanted to eat good too.

I'll try to be nice, since maybe it was just an off day. Ordered two fried chicken lunch specials. Out of dark meat chicken and fried okra at 1:30. They decided to cook more fried okra, so I waited. While waiting, a lady came in and was told that she couldn't use a Groupon for the lunch special. I was going to trade my $16. Groupon for $13. worth of food, which would've been to their advantage. I left.

This is one of the worst restaurants in Savannah. They leave their food out and uncovered. Anything can fly in their food. Sometimes their food is not hot. They don’t cook their food the same all time. If they burn the bacon or sausage they still bring it out and serve people. The customer service is poor. They will be in the back talking and have customers waiting on them for like 10 minutes or more.

This place has some of the best southern food. Soul food. The ribs are particularly a favorite of mine. The owners are very down to earth and around to chat with. The tea is on point. The corn bread was sweet and tasty but not dry. The macaroni and cheese was traditional baked and tons of cheese. I can't say enough. So good and quick. The food is buffet style so it's ready to eat as soon as you walk in. Highly recommended five stars!

If you are looking for true Southern cooked dishes at a good price...this is the place for you. This is just a lil small place away from the tourist trap area. It's counter served and very fresh. Fried chicken and cabbage was excellent. Didn't have enough room for dessert, but it looked delicious.

What happened? This used to be my favorite place for fried chicken and Mac n cheese. The chicken was alright, way smaller portions than they used to give- I only received two tiny drumsticks. But the Mac n cheese tasted like there was some sort of cleaning solution in it? Completely inedible. The cornbread was the best part of the meal. The FOH staff was super friendly and cheerful, no complaints there. Sadly, I will no longer be a returning customer.

I worked there for a day and it a big cockroach crawling around in the kitchen and they had a can of raid waiting to kill it. They wash their dishes in old dirty murky water and dry them on a rack with old food and funk on it. Old dusty and dirty can good in the kitchen and mold in the kitchen it was fruit fleas in the ice box where the ice for the drinks is stored and it’s just a nasty dirty place that nobody should eat from

The service and counter person/young lady was really nice. The restaurant was old & dirty. The floors were disgustingly nasty and the food wasn't that good. I went with a group of friends and they insisted I have meal. I ordered cabbage, yams, mac n cheese and dried overcooked fried chicken. I'd never go back.

Horrible!! Food was cold, my husband's rice was sour, eating area smelled like sewer or mold! Helpers was not warm or no greeting. I traveled celebrating my birthday first & last time visiting!! My husband & I left 5 minutes after sitting down..we ask for take out containers...came back to hotel to reheat food...after discovering rice was spoiled. We trashed both plates! Very disappointed!!!!

This restaurant was recommended by a Savannah State student. After looking over the menu, we decided to eat there. Unfortunately the two items we wanted were not being served (oxtails and smothered pork chop). The food is plentiful, but was just ok according to my entire party of 4. We had fried chicken, smothered turkey wings, macaroni and cheese, corn, cabbage, string beans, yams and cornbread.

My girlfriend and I was highly disappointed with this place. We were visiting from out of town for the weekend and really wanted some good soul food. We came across this place via Google maps and the website was delighten. First, we had the wait some time for the waitress to bring us utensils and drinks to the table. Then, all our food was cool and not seasoned well at all, except my chicken. To top it off, the place smelled like mildew when we went into the dining area. We left the food and wasted money because it was so falsely advertised on the website. The mac and cheese was nothing like it was shown on the website, store bought added cheese. Trust me, mac and cheese is my speciality. FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I was do disappointed.

Never again...my fiancé placed an online order. Drove 30 minutes out of the way to pick up our food and was advised upon arrival, they were out of yams, white rice, and cobbler. This should have been made known before pick up so we could have canceled the order and found something else. The food was horrible and the portions given were embarrassing for the price. They give you more food at Chic-Fil-A. Don’t waste your time or money unless you want to be ripped off. Very disappointed

I had chicken covered in gravy, mashed potatoes covered in gravy, collard greens, and cabbage. You also get two pieces of cornbread. What's a very hearty meal for a very reasonable price.

This restaurant was recommended by a Savannah State student. After looking over the menu, we decided to eat there. Unfortunately the two items we wanted were not being served (oxtails and smothered pork chop). The food is plentiful, but was just ok according to my entire party of 4. We had fried chicken, smothered turkey wings, macaroni and cheese, corn, cabbage, string beans, yams and cornbread.

My girlfriend and I was highly disappointed with this place. We were visiting from out of town for the weekend and really wanted some good soul food. We came across this place via Google maps and the website was delighten. First, we had the wait some time for the waitress to bring us utensils and drinks to the table. Then, all our food was cool and not seasoned well at all, except my chicken. To top it off, the place smelled like mildew when we went into the dining area. We left the food and wasted money because it was so falsely advertised on the website. The mac and cheese was nothing like it was shown on the website, store bought added cheese. Trust me, mac and cheese is my speciality. FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I was do disappointed.

I literally just left and wanted to share my experience with my husband as I was happy about this place three years ago. Well needless to say I'm contemplated on whether to eat the food. When leaving my husband noticed a grade of a B (81) borderline failing!!!!! The 81 is from improper cooking of food and temperature. The food on the bar looked as if it has been sitting out for more than it should have. The server was fussing at another worker on if she was going to clock in or not. While I was looking at the menu the lady serving me stated "girl that menu is lying, we don't have all that stuff listed on the menu" "what you see on the line is what we have" There appears to be misguided information on menu selection and offers. The interior needs major updating. The management and service needs improvement. I would not recommend this place to anymore of my family and friends. Here I am spent $10.69 on a turkey wing dinner that I may not eat. I do A's not B's and lower. To the owner- you have it!! Why not keep up with what you have and want it to be successful??? Why are you satisfied with a B? Why do you allow your employees to be "ghetto" or unprofessional? Why accept it? Do you not care anymore? Do us a favor and close the doors yourself if you gave up.

Being from out of state I did some research in advance as to where I could get some authentic southern food, especially good fried chicken. The ambiance leaved a little something to be desired, more like a work or school lunch room than a restaurant, but the food was awesome. Good fried chicken, juicy. Awesome fried okra and collards. The surprise star was the peach cobbler. I'm not a big peach fan but being in GA I had to try some. Was not the most beautiful dish to look at, but it was literally the best thing I've ever had in my mouth. The peaches were so fresh, it was slightly sweet without overdoing it, the texture was perfect. I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life.

Never will i ever try again to order food from here. I have had 2 door dash orders cancelled because this place doesnt have food apparently. I ordered baked chicken with cheese the first time and got my order cancelled because they didnt have what I want and I have to wait 5 days for my refund of 15 to 20 dollars and still wind up having to buy food . Next time same thing I ordered fish and mac n cheese and sweet potatoes and once again my order was cancelled wait for my 15 to 20 dollars refund and still have to spend money on food again . They shouldn't join a delivery service knowing a majority of their food is not available.

While visiting the Savannah area last weekend we had the pleasure of dinner at Sisters. Where do I start! EVERYTHING on our plate was outstanding! My husband had smothered turkey wings, okra and tomatoes, cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy, while I had smothered pork chops with collard greens, okra and tomatoes, and yellow rice. Each came with corn bread (of course). We tasted each other's to make sure we agreed everything was as good as the other said it was. Everything was seasoned perfectly! We can't wait to move to that area so we can make this a regular stop. I only wish we had time to try their breakfast. Next trip for sure. One more thing, we couldn't believe how inexpensive it was. Under $30 for the total bill that included soft drinks. If you're travelling anywhere close to Sisters, treat yourself.

The food was not good at all, my vegetables were not cook all the way, just not a satisfying taste like a soul food restaurant supposed to taste like. Never going back.. I'm not sure what happened to this place but they need to do better.

The red rice and okra with tomatoes were so good but the mac n cheese was just alright. The restaurant had run out of so many side items and there's no way to know until you step up to give your order. We waited 20 minutes for the fried chicken and it was decently good. Not worth the wait though.

I paid $20 for liver rice and greens, didn't even get nothing to eat with. They were getting ready to close. I was supposed to get three sides. The food tasted like it had been sitting all day. I wasn't impressed at all. Ole Time Buffet is my soul food spot in Savannah so far. I'm from Jacksonville we got excellent soul food spots.

Nice little hole-in-the-wall place! The food is genuinely grandma-cooked. We had to take our food with us, as there was too much to finish. It was a trek of the highway, but well worth the sidequest on the drive home from Florida to Virginia!

Never will i ever try again to order food from here. I have had 2 door dash orders cancelled because this place doesnt have food apparently. I ordered baked chicken with cheese the first time and got my order cancelled because they didnt have what I want and I have to wait 5 days for my refund of 15 to 20 dollars and still wind up having to buy food . Next time same thing I ordered fish and mac n cheese and sweet potatoes and once again my order was cancelled wait for my 15 to 20 dollars refund and still have to spend money on food again . They shouldn't join a delivery service knowing a majority of their food is not available.

I got fried chicken, Mac, yams, corn, cornbread. The chicken & corn was ok. Mac had a funny taste. Yams tastes like it was straight out the can. I won’t be going back.

Food was excellent. Candied yams were awesome. Staff was very friendly and service was fast. Atmosphere left a bit to be desired, but food made up for it. Portions were very large. Go hungry!

Took my husband for Father's day, drove over an hour, but he was disappointed because they told him they ran out of oxtails right before they got to his order so he ended up with chicken but they neglected to tell him they had more oxtails cooking, had we known we would have waited since we dined that day anyway, he found out on the way out after we finished eating

Amazing staff with great food! Didnt really know what to expect walking into the restaurant but the portion sizes were large for the price and the food tastes excitingly better with every bite.
