My wife and I ate at Palate last night. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Not only that but the prices were very affordable - first class food and service for a moderate price! Try it, you'll be glad you did. Try the pate. I had the seafood paperadelle and my wife had the salmon - Yummy! Don't be fooled by the strip mall, this is good!

Palate is a culinary experience from the moment you walk through the door. We chose to sit at the bar and our old friend Jay was there. They have a selection of wines and beers only. I chose the local favorite, Paul Cullen Sangiovese dry and bold, went quite well with the country pate which was a blend of duck, pork and chicken wrapped in bacon served with two mustards and a chutney with pear slices. The Bibb wedge with green goddess dressing and blue cheese chunks and candied bacon was superb. I also had a side of rosemary and sage roasted root veggies that was perfection to round out the meal. Desert was a flourless chocolate tort, with fresh cream and berries. Atmosphere is calm and elegant and the service is more than adequate. Excellent portions for the price. It does get crowded late so we arrived at 5:00, perfect timing. It filled up after 6:00. Will definitely return and have it on our regular rotation.

I am wowed by this little place with great variety just off the coastal highway in Rehoboth. Once inside the unassuming storefront you see a simplistic but majestic decor. The wait staff was very friendly and polite. And the food! We had the cheese plate, shellfish bowl, fried green tomatoes sandwich with crispy bacon and chicken with soba and vegetables. Let me tell you everything was perfectly made by clearly proud staff. If you have time check out this little gem.

Gary and Lorraine are well known in the area and had catered events for me. Was thrilled to see them open their own restaurant. Food is excellent, fresh seafood stew that was just over the top. Nice wine pairing and friendly staff. Wish them well.

So, the food was great. Interesting combinations, much better than what we had expected. Loved the caramelized onion grilled cheese. However, the service was terrible. It took at least fifteen minutes between contacts with a server, and we almost perished from a lack of water. Eventually, the server told us it was because a large group had come in. Maybe it's usually better but I would caution you not to go when you are super hungry . . .

Wonderful experience!! From the waiters to the restaurant manager. They get customer service, so personable and take the time to make sure you have a good experience. Food is amazing, so much flavor I had the soup of the day (basil, tomatoes, and re beans with rice) and the palate burger on a gluten free bun...it was so delicious! Thank you!

We went to Palate for a late lunch to celebrate husband's birthday. Our waitress was very helpful in helping us select specials. Since we were there around 1:30 pm, we were given an option to choose from their lunch or dinner menu. We got our food very quickly. We ordered watermelon Gazpacho, peach salad, flatbread with goat cheese, crabcake dinner, and lamb chops. Everything was delicious! For dessert we got cheese cake and flourless chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was amazing- not too sweet and not dry at all. My husband devoured his cheese cake. I highly recommend this place. It's a little on a pricey side but totally worth it.

Our third is a special kid confined to a wheelchair that can be very vocal at times. A person, who I think was the owner, came out to inquire and embraced us. This is the best food in this area. The entrees are prepared with interesting sides. Last night I had the tenderloin with mushrooms done to perfection. The Papps own and operate this fine restaurant and so much personal care goes into their food. Do make it a requirement to have dinner here. Yes!

Wonderful food, family owned by people who care about the food they serve, the service is wonderful, everyone is friendly and happy you are there. There are always nightly specials that are creative and delicious. The regular menu has many tasty options as well. The food is lovingly prepared, and you can taste it. It is also beautifully presented. We have used them for catering a brunch as well, and the food was fantastic. Two things to know though is they only serve beer and wine (we would love it if they served alcohol) and the lunch menu isn't different then the regular menu, so you are paying dinner prices for lunch-same great food though.

Lorraine at Palate was excellent to work with, she is professional and experienced. But the best part of having Palate cater our event was the food. We chose a lunch menu for a memorial reception, and my guests all commented on how good, fresh and abundant the food was. It was beautifully presented, the order was complete, and there were extra plates and cutlery. It was perfect. I can highly recommend Palate.

Fantastic experience today with my family. Loraine and Gary (chef owners ) prepare and serve fresh local ingredients. Menu is diverse and fun. There is a very clean open kitchen. This is a place for foodies. Most importantly they had no problem accommodating my sons food allergies - it was the easiest place to eat with him we have been to in years. Will definitely be back!

The views are breathtaking and the ambience quite inviting, unfortunately the food disappoints. To be fair to them we only ordered vegetarian fare and the best thing was their home made potato chips. Was quite excited to have their fry bread but learnt my lesson never to have fry bread outside of a reservation. Go for the views and quite satisfactory service.

This is a wonderful place to eat. This is not a restaurant I would normally choose to eat at. I am so glad I tried it! The ingredients are very fresh. I highly recommend anything with the salsa verde. I loved the fish and chips! The chips are homemade chips not french fries. The dessert we choose was the berries and cream on a fried dough it is delicious!I must also say the waitress Jess was very attentive without over doing it . I really enjoyed the uniqueness of the menu choices.
