This place is bright and clean, which to me means a lot since I feel like they're not trying to hide anything. They have a good variety on their menu, but not too overwhelming. The salad bar for dine-in guests was a nice touch, and I liked that you get your soup from the salad bar. If you're looking for a a quick lunch, head there for soup and salad. The reason for 4 vs 5 stars is because my kids said their food was a little plain. They got the turkey dinner and shrimp basket. I got the fried chicken and thought it had a good amount of flavor. Everyone is different, however I think it's definitely a good choice.

So I have been a long time customer since they have opened and would on occasion go there b.c there close proximity to my home, even though they do not have alcohol to sell. Their food would be hit and miss at times . But tonight was the LAST TIME I would ever go there! I had a terrible long day of work a d came in with my daughter and girlfriend. I told our waitress I was in the mood for a good steak and she recommended the prime rib. When it came out it did not look at all good but I tried it and it was extremely bland and had my g.f try it and she said "what can you expect from a diner." I explained usually the food is better. My waitress apologized for it and said try the stuffed flounder with crab. I agreed. When it came out it looked ok but it was basically most filler and was I took 3 bites and couldn't do anymore even though I was starving. The waitress felt bad I had a bad long day at work then 2 bad meals but explained it was not at all her fault but asked if they had new cooks etc which she replied yes. She notified the owners wife of my dissatisfaction of tonight's both meals and she came over to my table and instead of listening went on the offense that there prime rib is sold alot and the best around and that they sell a ton of the stuffed flounder with NO complaints and blamed me saying it was me not there food! She said she would took a few dollars off the bill which I didnt believe how I was spoken to and just told her to leave. I paid the bill IN FULL and we left with no apologies or anything! I have a pic of the stuffed flounder that I let them throw in the garbage and recommend to anyone in this area to try all our other good places to eat before ever coming here!

I ordered wings and salad on Friday and the wings were so dried up I could not even chew them. Hardly any sauce at all. The salad had no cheese and no salami and it was an antipasto. I will not recommend these items to anyone. Also the girl at the register was not pleasant at all. First and last time for me. Just thought you souls know.

Horrrrrrribleee service. From the beginning When I first called to order the waiter/order taker told me to wait a minute. The man obviously had and attitude so I then waited on the phone for about 5 mins while he talked to someone else is the background. I hung up, called back and had my order took. After the pizza supposedly was ready (50mins) a man called me from an anonymous nunber and told me he was here. After i explained to him he wasnt there (because i was waiting outside) and i told him which hotel we were at he said “well i cannot find it. You have me me a wrong address, I will cancel your card when i get back) when I asked him was he serious he hung up the phone. I then called the actual store. No one answered then finally another man picked up was also rude and belligerent. I ended up getting frustrated and hung up. The man calls me back 7 mins later asking “wel do you still want the pizza”. Like no. I just want my money back. Then he hung up. The whole thing seemed shady. And i wouldnt be suprised if i have to cancel my card because they stole my credit card information. Never ever ever dealing with this “establishment” again

Just got food here for the second time and it never disappoints! The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and all reasonably priced. We got pasta dishes and a pizza, they all came out very quickly - I didn't even have time to finish the soup, salad, and warm bread I got from the salad bar that came with the meal! Ten out of ten, would recommend

Stopped in for a late meal, ended up getting some amazing hot wings, the flavor was delicious and just the right amount of heat. The wings were perfectly cooked and juicy, delicious! Then finished it off with an amazing meat lovers pizza! This thing was loaded with some of the best cooked toppings I have tasted and the crust was a perfect crunch!!! The waitress was awesome and made the atmosphere fun and the owner was very cool to talk to. Definitely will be back there a lot!! Can't beat the price, good people and a very clean restaurant!!

We go out on Friday night due to religious reasons. I ordered a special shrimp and chicken alfredo with roasted peppers. I must say that the sauce was below average and the peppers appeared to have been freeze dried. They were very thin, chewy and tough. There were only 3 shrimp, which taste of, like, a chlorine smell and 4 small pieces of chicken and it was priced at $17.99. I was not impressed. My wife just ordered alfredo without meat. Her meal was brought home and was still in the fridge as of today Monday and she just threw it out. Her meal of just noodles and sause was $11.99. Please understand the price was not the factor, if it was we would had ordered frys and water with lemon. LOL It was the quality and the flavor of the dinner. I was surprised to find such a pleasant and clean place. We ordered a large pizza with the house salad to take out. They also gave us delicious garlic bread - very generous size. The pizza was actually a large one - like the ones we were used to in NY. I would definitely go back and anxious to try some of their other selections.

I really like this place. It's a quaint little place, very comfortable with enough room for the whole family. They have a nice salad bar and homemade soups available daily. The pizza is delicious you can really taste the freshness in all of their food. The staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome. I definitely recommend

Great food and great specials throughout the week. The salad and soup bar are good and add a nice touch to the meal. Everything we've gotten has been delicious and portions are huge. This allowed us to get 3-4 meals out of each entree.

Been ordering here for almost two years. Spend good money here ($50 dinner for 2) $19.99 on what was supposed to be shrimp scampi.... Turned out to be butter noodles with a couple shrimp (5)?? spouse got a cheese steak and only took 2 bites. I dont know whats going on over there but for now on pizza is the only food being ordered at captains pizza. 50$ worth of food is now in my trashcan. Extremely disappointing

Some of the best pizza you can get in this area and honestly worth making a trip while you're at the beach. The crust has such a good flavor. The sauce is tangy and they use just the right amount. Service has also always been good on my several trips to this restaurnant. The staff always go above and beyond to accomadate our special requests. A++++++++

I recommend this place for the best wood fired stone oven Pizza in Sussex County. Friendly owners large place never disappoints they have a salad bar with soup and fresh bread and a very large menu. Also they have a large party room should you want to have a birthday or some kind of a reception meeting.

When our food arrived so did half a dozen flies. Couldn't enjoy our meals because we too busy swatting flies from our food. I eat slowly and the food got cold quickly because who can eat and swat flies at the same time.

Mom and pop atmosphere with lots of Italian favorites. Portions are large and fairly priced. On Tuesdays, they have great specials including a gigantic Chicken Parmesan for under $10. Party room in the back for larger parties. I don't recommend the Chicken Scampi they serve, but everything else was delicious!

I live in Long Neck, i ordered from here 3 times which is generous considering i never wanted it again after the first bad experience but i wanted to give Captain's the benefit of the doubt. The hot wings are not a traditional buffalo wing; it is some grease-filled old bay tasting wings and butter, unless i was given the wrong wings. The pizza is awful, i ordered a margherita and to me a margherita pizza is the purest way to enjoy the quality of a pizzeria. When i ordered this, it had some strange gloopy cheese sauce on the bottom, with slices of unripe tomato, and more cheese piled on top and no fresh basil or mozarella; just more cheap pizza cheese; and after half a slice i did not want to eat any more of it. The hoagie i ordered was mediocre and small. Bello Gino down the road is cheaper and tastes better too. Unfortunately, they were closed today due to the weather so we decided to yet again give Captain's pizza a 3rd shot at redemption. 3 strikes you're out. However, the order taker and driver were very pleasant.

We have ordered delivery several times from them....most of the time we have been pleased, tonight we ordered a large mushroom hamburger pizza and cheese bread...I was told 45 minutes for delivery...over an hour later they arrived. The pizza was terrible luke warm at best. The pizza had a very strong flavor...$24 dollars went in the trash...worse yet I called to complain and the girl who answered was less then receptive. While they did offer to bring out another pizza we decided not to and the girl said okay and hung up...REALLY....won't be ordering from them anytime soon!!!

Me and my husband ordered delivery around 6 or 7 pm on a Wednesday and the guy who answered the phone was very polite and patiently waited for me to decide. I ended up ordering the Mexican nachos, an extra side of chilli, and a chilli cheese fries. The cost wasn't too bad, and it came in about a half hour. Everything tasted very good. They're chili tasted amazing. I have only ordered from them once before when they first opened. But this order of delivery is great and as long as the quality remains the same I will continue.

Would love to recommend captains pizza in long neck ordered a pizza steak and was not disappointed. I could only eat half it was so filling. And the taste was amazing and I’m from the Philadelphia area so I’m picky with my foods. And customer service was amazing all the way down to the delivery driver.
