I attended a surprise birthday party. The room was beautiful . the servers we had were very good,non stop and very friendly. The food was served family style. We were entertained by aMariachi International Jiquilpan group leader Jose Silva which was very nice. A beautiful dessert table was lovenly handmade by myself with help of a dear friend. Birthday cake from Costco (New York area). All had a great evening.

Their steaks are from the same place as Peter Luger's....and it's what you would expect from a NY style steakhouse. Prices are reflective of the same. I actually had the lamb chops....which are always good. The bone in rib eyes are a favorite as well. My colleagues always order a side order of bacon...which is delish.

Food OK but here with a buddy and they are playing love songs on a Saturday night. Ask waiter twice to change music and then the third time asked for a manager. A forth time I said if a manager does not come to my table I will never eat here again. No manager came. Terrible customer service. They act like they are doing you a favor.

Famous name in Bridgeport but our last visit showed some flaws. Bread was day old diner rolls toasted. We were told they ran out when they replaced it with fresh bread. One patrons diner was bitter they offered to remove the charges.

Horrible service. We were a party of six and given a table that should have been for 4. Hardly any room for plates. My wife ordered chicken parm and the waiter insisted that she ordered veal parm and was giving her an argument. I had to tell him to stop arguing and give her what she ordered. When they brought the bread it was placed right in front of me instead of the middle of the table and the waitress dropped butter tabs on my left shoulder. The waiter later tried to hand my wife hot coffee while he was holding it by the handle and expecting her to grab the hot cup with her hand instead of placing it on the table himself. The staff would interrupt conversations and reach over you. Why dine out for poor service?

My family had my sister’s 80th surprise birthday celebration catered at the restaurant. The. 5 course meal was delicious. Our entire family of 34 guests raved over the amount of food & how well it was prepared. Service was very timely & excellent. Manger Matt was very helpful planning this event since we, planner, lived out of state. Thank you making this a memorable occasion. Hats off to the entire staff at Testo’s Restaurant. You all deserve 10 stars

I live 10 minutes from there and don't there enough, but it has become my new "go to" place. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and fantastic, and the portions were amazing, also very affordable.

Both dishes we tried (manicotti and calamari marinara) were very good, and the two desserts we're above average. That plus one Caesar salad (which was great) ran just over seventy dollars, including gratuity.

Our office went to lunch here for the holiday. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays. The service on the phone was terrific and recommendations were made on how to make the event the best time spent. The reservation was ready on time and the service was terrific. Everyone loved the dishes.

My cousin and I had dinner at Testo's, we each ate less than half of our meal since the portions are quite large and took the rest of our meal home. Imagine my surprise when I got home and opened the bag with my leftovers and I had the WRONG dinner. The bus boy switched our meals around. I guess from now on I will always check my doggy bag before I leave the restaurant. So since my cousin and I live 10 miles apart I called Testo's to tell them what happened. I was put on hold for 5 long minutes while the girl checked with the manager. Finally she got back on the line and informed me that the manager said we could not be compensated because they had no way of knowing how much of the meal we actually took home. I was told to just switch meals with my cousin. Well now its 10pm and we live 10 miles apart, why should we be inconvenienced because their employees are not trained properly. It wasn't even crowded that evening. Anyway they have seen the last of us. Apparently the customer is not always right!! Also while the food was good, it is VERY OVERPRICED.

If have eaten at Peter Luger's, or The Pen & Pencil, or Smith & Wollensky then Joseph's is that club type atmosphere.Male wait staff, wainscotting walls,and al a carte priciing. A house salad with a steakhouse dressing to die for , thick steaks and chops grilled to perfection .

Very good food! Prices great when you see the quantity. (You literally get two full meals every time) The pizzeria on Suburban Ave in Fairfield is a more relaxed atmosphere for a fun Friday night out but if you're looking for a more formal setting but not crazy fancy, this place is great!!

We had our father's reception at Testo's after his funeral mass. Matt made everything so easy when we reserved the banquet room. We didn't have a firm head count for Matt until our funeral director called in an estimate from the church. The tables were set and there was plenty of food for the 125 people that showed up. The food was excellent, especially the penne with vodka sauce, and service was very professional. Many of the guests praised Testo's when they were leaving the restaurant and when I spoke to people for the next few days they mentioned how good it everything was at the restaurant. After we booked the event, I became concerned while reading some of the reviews on the internet. I don't usually write reviews, but wanted to share our positive experience for people when they are considering Testo's. I wouldn't hesitate to have another event there.

I ALWAYS have a great time at Testo's! The food IS as good as it smells. The staff is super friendly. The music is at a conversation level. I know even going solo for an event, my car & I are safe AND I usually bump into people I know. I ALWAYS recommend Testo's for everthing from popping "The BIG QUESTION", to "The Stag", to "The BIG DAY", to "The Baby Shower"... ALL of "Life's BIG DAYS"... Absolutely horrible experience. I recently had my bridal shower at Testos. Matt (who truly was absolutely great, sincere, and very patient) helped us plan the layout and menu. On the day of the shower, everything that could go wrong did go wrong. To begin, the party started at 12pm, and the staff had not finished setting up the tables yet. The staff was a set of two teenagers; one waiter and one waitress. The guests were arriving, and the tables were not ready. How embarrassing. Second, several mistakes were made with the menu and the execution of the menu. For starters, t he appetizers came out 45 MINUTES LATE, and only two ladies were able to enjoy them; to this day, we wonder where the 300 quiches--that we paid HIGHLY for--went. Lunch was not served on time. We were served the wrong type of pasta--we paid for pasta vodka, and this was NOT what was served. The refills of the food trays was incredibly slow, (picture our guests waiting in line for 20 minutes for a salmon refill!) and the waitress and waiter were unprofessional and rude. The waiters knew--both by the manager, and by my family, that they had to pour the alcohol in our "signature drink"--and this did not happen until our guests started complaining, half way through the bridal shower, that there was no alcohol in their drink. When asking the waitress for help in calling our guests to the buffet, she suggested that my "sister direct the guests." Unprofessional and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the pitchers of "Sprite" on each table were really just seltzer water, and the audio/microphone system had 1) no living batteries 2) generally not working. When I asked for new batteries for the microphone (while I was opening up my bridal shower gifts,) this request was met 45 minutes later. When asked to cure the clearly lack of properly executed contract, the owners refused to. I am beyond disappointed and will no longer be having my wedding rehearsal dinner party here. Do not waste your time planning your next shower, wedding, or event here; you will be met with unprofessional staff, unapologetic owners, and many, many mistakes in execution and preparation.

I was performing yesterday at Testo's in the lounge for the first time. What a beautiful restaurant. Our waiter was funny and personable, the food was fantastic. I am very particular with my sauce when ordering a pasta dish at restaurants and I have to say the Chicken Parm and pasta were delicious. Our duo "Class Act" are really hoping to be playing there again and enjoying a fantastic evening. Thank you to the entire staff for their wonderful service.

Went to baby shower at Testo's and service was poor.. no butter at the table or at the buffet ( I asked the lady with glasses she said sure and NEVER brought the butter), for dessert NO spoons/forks or knife's to cut cake(s). Not sure how this place runs its business or how it's even in business. HORRIBLE!!
