Wei and I were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with you leading up to our wedding day! You took the time to break down every aspect of our day piece by piece to the point where we could visualize everything. It made the entire process much easier and gave the both of us peace of mind in knowing that you had everything under control. Your knowledge of the industry was so helpful to us all throughout the planning process. On the wedding day I witnessed everyone so pleased with the food. It was such a great display in addition to being very tasty. Your staff was very polite, and knew their way around the venue which was nice. I could tell you took time to build a quality team. Well dressed, proper, polite to the guests, helpful and conscious of everyone’s needs. All in all, a great experience! I already know two family members planning to contact you for upcoming events. Susan did an incredible job catering my big Brooklyn wedding (160 guests). Throughout the entire planning process Susan was attentive, passionate, and I knew that she truly cared about providing us and our guests with exceptional food and service. Long story short - I'm not easy to please and I can't recommend Susan Kane Catering highly enough. After an extensive search of NYC based caterers I was ready to give up on my dream of a bespoke Brooklyn wedding because nobody was able to work within my budget. Then I found Susan. After our tasting we knew we had found someone who was up to the challenge. She helped us create the perfect menu to accommodate a variety of food allergies and diet preferences, and was a wiz at finding creative ways to keep costs down without diminishing the elegant, bespoke tone we wanted for our event. When it came to rentals, Susan worked tirelessly to find us the best prices. My wedding was in a large "raw space" venue, meaning there was a separate prep space but no ovens or stoves, so not only did Susan have to coordinate all of my rentals for linens, bar glasses, dishes, utensils, etc., but she also had to plan and source all kitchen equipment needed for the evening. Almost without exception, everyone I talked to during and after my wedding commented on how good the food was. Susan and her crew not only served delicious food, but they flawlessly kept the evening running smoothly. Her staff was very attentive and made sure our older, less mobile guests (like my 92 year old grandma) had everything they needed throughout the night. Susan also made sure me and my husband got to eat! While everyone else was enjoying passed appetizers and cocktails, we were taking photos. Susan put together a beautiful sampler of all the appetizers for us and our bridal party to enjoy in our dressing room while we finished photos and signed our marriage license. If you are looking for a caterer who will deliver excellent food, service, value, and who is truly passionate about her work, hire Susan Kane!

I really loved my experience with Susan because she was willing to work closely with me in creating the perfect reception for our wedding. Our wedding was a bit different because the guests were comprised of people who were used to a very Korean-style wedding and culture as well as people who were used to a very American-style wedding and culture. Susan was open to changing her approach in order to suit the needs and style of our wedding, while also balancing her desire to make sure that the event was held to a high standard. I valued her feedback and input greatly because there were several decisions she helped us make that made the flow of the reception go smoothly. Also, when I met her staff on the day of the wedding I was so impressed at their professionalism, kindness, and warmth. They worked really hard to set up all the tables and centerpieces the way I envisioned, and they really impressed (and surprised) me with how beautifully they decorated the sweetheart table - especially since my friend had brought a lovely sign for decoration! They each made me feel that they wanted the best for us and our guests and it made our experience with Susan Kane Catering very memorable! We were also very impressed with the quality of the food - Susan worked with us to make sure that we had delicious options for everyone. When we asked for a vegetarian option, she created an incredibly tasty (and popular) pasta dish! It was actually my favorite thing on the menu, as well as the rolls with butter. My husband's favorite dish was the NY style skirt steak! And the guests, both Korean and American, loved all the different dishes, which was something I had been worried about. So if you are looking for a wonderful caterer who will work with you to make your experience memorable, then look no further - I highly recommend you hire Susan Kane Catering!

Susan Kane catered and managed a party for my husband's birthday at the Burr Mansion in Fairfield. She helped me find the venue, arranged the rental and delivery of tables, chairs, linens, etc,, also helped make arrangements for purchase and delivery of wine and other beverages, making the process of throwing a party for 90 people anxiety-free for me! She referred me to a fantastic DJ who was perfect for the party, and decorated the rooms at the Burr with pictures and other items that I had provided. Food was fantastic, all the guests raved about the ahi tuna and the beef tenderloin stations that Susan provided, she also ordered the most delicious cake and had it delivered, along with "small bite" desserts that were scrumptious too. The staff that Susan hired were suberb, professional , efficient, unobtrusive and charming at the same time. The party was a huge success, and Susan gets the credit for putting in all in place!

I was recently a bridesmaid at a wedding catered by Susan Kane Catering. The food was okay, but it was buffet style and there weren't any heating trays or anything to keep the food warm, so even though I was part of the first table to go up, the food was already room temperature. The caterers serving the food used the vegetable tongs on the steak to separate pieces, and then continued to use them in the vegetables. The bride was told that during cocktail hour while the wedding party was taking pictures, there would be someone coming around with food/appetizers for us, but that never happened. Once we were off waiting for the reception, a waiter came up with one drink order and one tray of appetizers, but never came back. The bartender seemed very unhappy to be there, and was rude to me and other guests. When I asked for a lime for my drink he pushed it down so that half of his finger was in my drink! The bride and groom tipped in advance, so obviously he felt there was no other reason to try to deliver quality customer service. The supervisor who was there dropped a tray of drinks down my back and purse while I was sitting eating dinner at the beginning of the reception. She did apologize and offer to pay to clean my purse. When I contacted Susan she said the same thing, but 3 months later I still have not received any compensation. The bride and groom said Susan was responsive to their questions at first, but later on they had trouble getting a quick response from her. Overall, with so many caterers in the area to choose from, I would definitely pick someone else.

We got married this past July in Ridgefield, CT at Lounsbury House. Susan came highly recommended by them. We were blown away at the tasting and signed with her on the spot. My father is a chef and my husband and I love to cook. Great food was at the top of our list and Susan delivered. She was wonderful to work with and all of our guests said it was the best food they've had at a wedding. Susan was so helpful in getting our menu together and accommodating all our needs and some special requests from guests. Her staff was very attentive. We recommend her highly.

Susan and her team catered a buffet-style Afternoon Tea and Champagne event for 150 people at our office this past April. She provided a wonderful array of tea sandwiches with fresh, delicious and varied ingredients. All the desserts were tempting treats, each was made with flair, and the presentation was beautiful. Prior to our Tea, Susan was very helpful in envisioning the layout and flow of the event - we were expecting a large number of people for a small space, so that was a challenge. But Susan was up to the task and everything went smoothly and was organized down to the finest detail. Susan and her staff were neat and professional in appearance, and we found them to be very friendly and accommodating of our needs and wishes. For personalized attention and delicious food -- we would certainly recommend Susan Kane Catering for any special event!

We recently had an Open House and chose Susan Kane Catering to do the catering for the event. We were extremely impressed with Susan and her team and also the food. Great taste and presentation. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be using them again!
