I came here on and off again between 2004-2007 but I was never disappointed with their food. They never failed at keeping it real and if you’re looking for a filling bite to eat before getting on the train or going to the movies down the road, I can guarantee that this is your best option out of all the places in Fairfield County to get a perfectly decent hot dog and burgers!

YES - they have a Chicago dog! It's very disappointing when you go to a hot dog joint and they are dumbfounded when a Chicago dog is requested. Not the case here! Fries are also perfect.

Really enjoyed this hit dog joint! Feels like a dive but it's really not and the food is well done for a little eatery that caters to the simple things. Good ingredients and no shortcuts despite the menu being a burger and hotdog spot. You'll be surprised by the quality and local flare in the soda selection! Must try in my opinion if your a connoisseur!

They were decent hotdogs. The place was clean. The staff friendly. Though, I would not go out of my way to get these hotdogs again. They didn't taste that special. Too many flavors in each hotdogs, couldn't taste anything.

This is a great place to stop for a quick snack. We tried the New Englander and the Chicagoan. The buns we're perfectly toasted to give it a slight crunch. Both tasted great. They bring back fond memories of sharing similar meals in Chicagoan suburbs.

I am way overdue in writing this. I have had super duper weenie at my house for 5 or 6 parties over the last few years. If you want an awesome food truck experience, these guys are the best. My guests rave about it. From the stellar food to the unparalleled customer service to the overall experience, super duper cannot be beat!!! The owner and staff are fantastic! I wouldn't throw a party without them. Personally, I am partial to their cheese steak and red got dog, but the whole menu rocks. They do it right!!!

Classically trained chef putting his own twist on hot dogs. Cheap prices, always delicious. Counter service only, but everyone is politely and friendly. Most of the people have been working there for 10 years plus. This is truly a "family" business with deep roots in the community. Ask for off menu specials in the summer. Local farmers give the chef secret, amazing produce in the warmer months so there usually something special if you ask. These guys will learn your name and chat over the counter. The best local spot ever!!!

While this phrase may seem nonsensical on cursory examination, it belies an essential truth about what it takes to last a long time, whether in laser tag or the hot dog selling business. ‘Nice’ doesn’t just describe attitude or human action, but can also be used to describe architecture. Food is defined by the room you eat it in, this we know. As a hippy I know once said, ‘the vibes are good here, man. Pass the mustard. And also the French fries. I’m gonna go buy a soda. I’m thirsty.’ Plan to say something similar or don’t, you probably will anyways.

Hotdogs are not my go-to food when I'm out, but my husband was a huge fan when he was working in Connecticut about 16 years ago, so we stopped while traveling through the area. Now I get it. The food is fresh and delicious, all made from scratch and made to order. I wonder if the truck travels out of state . . .

Went there because of Diner Drive In’s and Dives not impressed at all. Had a hot dog with chili and grilled onions the best part was the hot dog roll and the onions. My boy friend had a burger because they don’t serve beef hot dogs and he doesn’t eat pork and he felt the burger was less that average. We also had onion rings that were over fried.! I did give the 1 star because the French fries were yummy. Unfortunately the fries were not good enough to make me want to go back. Extremely disappointed....

My new Englander hotdog had a lot of sauce but it was still really really good. Fries very fresh as well. Would definitely come back again! Nice service too.

The hot dogs here are amazing, the fries are fresh and made to order. Parking is a little tough during peak lunch hours but it's so worth the wait. They also offer bugers, chili, soup and salad. Do yourself a favor and order the New Englander hot dog ( bacon, sauerkraut, mustard, relish and onion).

Awesome food, fast service. The best condiments around to go with your hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, and fries. Specifically, great house-made chili (two kinds!), relishes, honey mustard, and amazing BBQ sauce. Their catering business staff is great too, if you are planning food for an event.

It's not to often that we visit a place like this for lunch. This being a favorite place for the best hot dogs, and me having another favorite place for hot dogs in more central CT, I was curious. The choice of how they offer hot dogs is great, many more than what I usually go for. One in particular sounded like what I would get at my favorite place. I don't recall the name of it, but had a meat sauce that sounded but with a few more toppings. We also had a huge plate of fries and chicken nuggets, all of which were great. Cutting to the chase it's a very good hot dog. Does it beat my favorite? No. While I think it's tough to get a bad hot dog, I think it's even harder to get a great hot dog... So would I go here again? Yes, if we happen to be in the area I won't definitely go back. It'd be very curious to try the other toppings that they offer.

Prices were a little ridiculous, but the food was pretty good. The best part of our experience was the service, which was still a bit cold and short. After watching the documentary “A Connecticut Hotdog Tour”, we were really excited to check this place out. Unfortunately, for us, it fell short of the accolades.

Great for a quick pit stop! Excellent menu with all kinds of dogs and sandwiches. The shoe string fries are just what you've been dreaming of. Bit on the pricier side ($8-something for a plain dog and fries), but they sure make 'em well!

We had the New Englander (Sauerkraut, bacon, mustard sweet relish & raw onion) and a Georgia Red Hot (Spicy Southern sausage with sauerkraut, mustard & homemade sweet relish.) Both were awesome. The outside had a great crunch and the homemade toppings were fantastic. Buns got soggy kind of quickly, though. The fries are top notch, made to order, crispy, and tossed with salt and pepper. The 2 dogs, fries, and 2 drinks came to around $16, which is pretty great. We have gone many times and plan to return at our next opportunity.

Just had their Tuesday Fried Chicken sandwich special. It was the best chicken sandwich I ever had, bar none. The buttermilk fried chicken was spicy, crispy and crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The chicken was on a bed of coleslaw that provided the perfect counterpoint.

This place is a simple grill serving up simple american food but it puts the right bells and whistles on it to transform your average ballpark dog into awesomeness. Getting a dog with a toasted bun and loaded with all the toppings is literally twice the value for half the price of hot dog from a baseball stadium.

It was a small little place that I wouldn't have noticed just driving by but it was pretty good. It wasn't expensive and you get a lot for what you pay for. The hotdogs were delicious and there was a lot of variety. The fries were great too. I would recommend it if you are in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It is really good but nothing to drive a crazy distance for.

What a cute find! Rated one of America’s top hot dog joints - this little “shack-like” hot dog stand has a nice esoteric mix of hot dog preparations and a pretty nice ambience. There is ample indoor seating, and the walls are lined with various articles and accolades about the chef and the place. We had 3 different types of hot dogs - the Dixie, Georgia red hot and New Yorker and each of them was great and distinctly different tasting.

Great food, if you want a burger or hotdog. They offer a grass fed burger done to your specifications. I try not to eat burgers and fries too often, but this is my favorite place for it. Always busy, so you may want to call ahead to order, or wait to view all the hot dog specials.
