Nicholas and his staff catered our May wedding at Lighthouse Point Park- Our friends and family are still talking about the food. Leading up to the wedding, the food was the last thing I had to worry about, he was just so laid back and easy to talk to! He is passionate about what he does and just loves to make people happy. When his team arrived, our wedding came together more perfectly than I could have imagined. Each member of his staff was so professional and went out of their way to make everything perfect. They truly made the carousel building come to life as if it were their own restaurant. I cannot wait to work with them for our next event!

Nicholas catered my wedding last August and was DELIGHTFUL. My best friend and I were able to sample some of his food before we booked, and I could tell from meeting him that we were going to have a great time working together. The food was delicious and totally hit the spot, the staff were professional though laid back, and everyone left full and happy. We had out wedding catered by here in 2014. I did not know food that tasted this good existed. Catering was excellent. Staff was professional and friendly. We had a wedding of about 150 guests and everyone to this day compliments on how good the food was. They worked seamlessly with Wood Acres Farm which was the venue we got married at. If I could give them higher than 5 stars I would. Prices were great too and we were able to rent silverware, plates etc. Do yourself, your taste buds, and your stomach a favor and hit this place up to do business. Thank me later. There's a reason all of their reviews are 5 stars.

Nick and Fitzgerald's Catering are pretty awesome. They catered my wedding in June of 2013. Food was great. We did a buffet which was a bit scary. Swordfish, beef tenderloin and ribs. Swordfish was amazing and blew me away. People thought food was top notch. Lots of compliments from picky people. I am actually glad we went buffet (it required at our venue) and I got fish steak and ribs! Think great wedding food, but not stuffy boring wedding food (at least the menu we went with). Last year I went to an event with flank steak and chicken. They were both also top notch. I don't think you can be unhappy with any menu they can create, high or low end. I've tried both and enjoyed them equally. The swordfish was the on another level excellence, but everything was great. I like saying the best wedding food I've had was at my own wedding.

Nicholas catered our wedding and I honestly can't say enough positive things about the entire experience of working with Fitzgerald's Fine Catering; I'm honestly fighting to find words to express just how incredible an experience it was to having him as our caterer. Based on our tasting months and months ago, I had been talking him up quite a bit to all of my friends and family who would be at the wedding, perhaps to the point where I had risked promising too much to them. Sure enough, Fitzgerald's Fine Catering lived up to the expectations that I'd created-- and surpassed them-- as person after person raved to me about how delicious everything tasted. We experienced prompt, clear communication and everything was described in complete detail. Any questions we had were answered completely. Based on some other experiences I've had with caterers before I kept waiting for the "catch" or hidden fees that would get snuck in, yet it never did. Despite being on a tight budget we were able to afford his services and I honestly look forward to the next time I can host an event with his services. In short, Nicholas is a genuine individual whose passion for service comes across in the entirety of the experience that you'll have with him. I simply can't say enough about how thankful I am for his incredible skill and friendly professionalism and hope to employ him many more times in the future. If you've read this far, do yourself a favor, and give him a call!

We reached out to Nick almost 2 years prior to our wedding to meet for a tasting. I remember sitting in his office and my mouth watering over the food. It was so delicious that we decided to book him right then and there and didn’t even bother to meet with any other caterers. Nick is a one-stop-shop and provides dishes, glassware, linens and quality bar service. He is so easy to work with and it is clear he is experienced with catering for weddings. The price is more than affordable. Additionally, if you’re having your wedding at Penfield Pavilion in Fairfield, CT then I would absolutely book him. He knows the place inside and out. The day ran so smoothly and people continue to compliment us about the food at our wedding.

It was truly a pleasure dealing with Nicholas and his team of professionals. I am accustomed to being the "cook in the kitchen" so I can prove to be quite the critic when it comes to passing my apron on to others. Well, Nicholas proved to me early on that his was not the typical "catered" fare. Everything was wonderful. I was proud to present our scrumptious menu to family and friends at my daughter's bridal shower. And, the service his staff afforded my guests was extraordinary. We contacted Nick Shope at Fitzgerald's, looked at three sample menus, and decided Fitzgerald was our best bet. Nick did an onsite inspection and since our site already had tables and chairs, we asked for him to provide the linens and food services including barkeeping and passing out hors d'oeuvres. I bought and delivered the liguids. Our function stared at 5 PM, so the catering team arrived at, 2:30 and by 5:00 they had the drinks and hors d'oeuvres ready to go. We had ordered a buffet with three main courses and a plethora of canapes etc. Everything went smoothly, and the party was a huge success. Everyone commented on the tasty, delicious food and on the beverages. We would hire Fitzgerald's again without blinking an eye.

After our initial tasting, it was clear to both my fiancé and I that we had to have Fitzgerald's Catering for our wedding on 8/12/18 at Carousel at Light House Point. Not only was every single food item amazing at our tasting, but Nicholas and his assistant, Jonathan, were friendly, funny, and flexible. It was clear that they would be willing to work with the customer to make the customer’s vision and their dream wedding happen. Throughout the planning process Nicholas was timely and responsive to my many emails. It was clear how professional, organized and knowledgeable he is. The day of Nicholas and his staff ensured every detail was correct to my OCD liking… including (but not limited to) center pieces, lanterns, plaques, and escort cards. Darcy continuously checked on me and my groom, offering to bring us personal hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour as we chose to do our bridal party pictures during this time. She Darcy offered to put additional hors d’oeuvres in the bridal room or at our table. When we didn’t have a chance to eat dinner (as your wedding day FLIES) she hand made us both plates and put them at our seats for us. At the end of our night she also packed up all the left overs so we could enjoy them later. Nicholas, Darcy, Sue, Jonathan and all the other staff were so attentive throughout the entire night. They continuously checked in with us to ensure that everything met our expectations. Fitzgerald's Catering will exceed all your expectations and is definitely a wonderful addition to any wedding!

We had a great experience with Nicholas! We had planned to have our wedding in Ridgefield CT in May of 2015. We first found Nicholas on thumbtack, and he was the best fit out of the many caterers we looked at, based on responsiveness/quality/flexibility of the menu/and pricing. We went to Nicholas’ location for a taste testing before the event. He made us feel very comfortable as it was out first catering experience. All of the food we tasted was great, and Nicholas worked with us closely to develop the exact menu we wanted. Due to some unfortunate family events, we were not able to have the large ceremony in May that we had hoped, and ended up getting married at the court house in NYC. Nicholas’ was very understanding with our situation, and refunded us the full amount of our deposit once another party reserved the date. Even though we weren't able to have the full catered event that we initially wanted, we are very grateful to have met Nicholas and plan to use him for our future catering events.

We used Fitzgerald's for our September 2018 beach wedding. Nick was very prompt with responding to emails which really impressed us. Once we had our tasting my now husband wanted to book right away. Nicks food is amazing!! We actually had a hard time deciding on what we would serve since everything was soooo good. NIck and his staff were very detailed and helped us with any questions we had. The day of our wedding Darcy was professional, kind, and awesome! She really helped us with any last minutes issues that came up. Our guessed raved about the food and saying the appetizers were "over the top." All you really want at your wedding is great food for your guests and we had spectacular food! We highly recommend Fitzgerald's Fine Catering for any event and look forward to using them again and again.

Nick did such an amazing job catering our lighthouse point park wedding!!! From start to finish, from planning to execution, he and his team did an excellent job! He was very helpful and patient with me and all my crazy bridal questions and MANY decision changes with the menu! Our guests were all raving about the good quality of food and the service from cocktail hour to the end of our reception! HIs staff were so courteous and made sure that they did rounds so that everyone were able to taste the yummy passed hors d' oeuvres! My only regret that day was not being able to eat anything during the reception because we were too busy mingling with our guests.. otherwise, Nick was such an excellent choice for our caterer!!! He also gives you the actual price per person he will charge you (no hidden fees), his pricing is the best among CT caterers that we interviewed, and he will truly work with your budget. Oh, and his prices include linens and all dinnerwares which was great! Thanks Nick!!! :)

Working with Nick at Fitzgerald's Fine Catering was absolutely a breeze. My wife and I live in North Carolina so planning a wedding 700 miles away in Wilton, CT was a challenge enough but Nick made the entire catering process absolutely a breeze. From the initial phone calls to the tastings and final prep meetings, Nick was very easy to work with and extremely clear on the expectations. We were looking for a unique wedding experience and Nick's New England Clambake suggestions was exactly what we wanted. Our wedding was held a private residence so we had to bring in everything from the tent and chairs to the dishes and silverware. Unlike every other caterer that we originally talked to, Fitzgerald's provides you with all of the, linens, china, glassware, bar-ware and brings the entire kitchen with them! You don't have to worry about renting anything for them which was amazing! As for the food.....It was by far the best catered meal we EVER had. Our guests continue to rave about the amazing food (Lobster, Steak, Chx, Clams, etc.) and that it was by far the best food at any wedding they had been to. We can not thank Nick and his team enough for making our wedding so amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and always looking for anything they could do to help out. Don't even look around for another cater, Call Nick and book Fitzgerald's as soon as you can!

We worked with Nicholas and his team for catering at our outdoor wedding at Preston Ridge Vineyard in Connecticut. His team had never worked at that particular venue, so we arranged a meeting at the vineyard so Nicholas could physically see the space and meet us and the vineyard owner in person. We were so impressed with his professional, yet laid back attitude. We were planning our wedding from out of state, and Nicholas was very flexible and easy to work with via email and phone call. Fitzgerald’s Fine Catering catered our wedding at the Waveny House in New Canaan Connecticut for 102 guests on May 23rd 2015. The owner and staff really blew us away. They arrived early, had everything set up in no time at all, and even let me run around placing all my little decorations here and there. The staff was incredibly attentive and really a lot of fun! They and Nicholas are truly professionals. The food was nothing short of amazing!! We really wanted to provide our guests with excellent food, and Fitzgerald’s delivered; people were raving and it was honestly the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding. Nicholas was extremely accommodating when it came to menu changes and additions, and basically allowed us to customize the menu to our liking, even adding a chocolate fountain to the list just a couple weeks before the wedding. Nicholas and his crew of chefs and caterers do amazing work. He took the time to meet with us on a Saturday, in the middle of prepping for another event, so we could try samples of his food. He also was completely flexible when we wound up having to change venues. Then there's the food. What an I say about the food. We got married on the weekend of memorial day, and at a family labor day BBQ we were still hearing complements about the food. The on-site team kept everything moving like clockwork, and handled every request we had with grace and efficiency. We couldn't have asked for a better partner.

Nicholas and Fitzgerald's Catering absolutely exceeded our expectations for our wedding. Right from the beginning, Nicholas was so great to work with. We planned our wedding in about 8 months and he was one of the first vendors we chose for our wedding at Lighthouse Point. He has so much experience at this particular venue and he was able to answer every question right away. He was so easy going and what we loved about him and the company most was that he was upfront with costs and there were no hidden charges!! Everything was so reasonable and we didn't feel as though we were being tricked in any way! Leading up to the wedding, Nicholas answered all of my questions within 24 hours or less (which I appreciated SO much) and was so accommodating. On the day of the wedding, Nicholas and his staff were nothing short of amazing. They set up the venue SO fast and it looked stunning. As for the food... DELICIOUS. I don't usually rave about food (that's more of my husband's speciality) but seriously the food was incredible. Nicholas even packed us a box to take to our hotel after the wedding and it still tasted amazing cold and 4 hours after being served. The pesto tortellini... to die for. The staff were also awesome on the day of our wedding. They were quick and efficient and so friendly. We could not be happier to have chosen Fitzgerald's Catering for our wedding. It was the best choice we could have made and we will be recommending them to all of our friends and family for events in the future. Nicholas catered our AMAZING wedding at Lighthouse Point Park this past October. We interviewed a few caterers before choosing Nicholas and Fitzgerald's. He was down-to-earth, honest, and genuinely cared about making our event special. We felt like he wanted to get to know us, rather than feeling like "just another couple," as we felt at some other caterers. We knew we wanted something a little bit different and non-traditional to complement the venue, and he helped us create a boardwalk-themed menu that our guests raved about! With Nicholas' help, we were able to customize everything on our menu, even down to the cute containers he used to serve the dishes! We also loved that his staff could serve the liquor we purchased from another vendor, allowing us to serve the types of liquor we like best. We really got EXACTLY what we wanted at very reasonable prices. Without Nicholas and his staff, our wedding would not have been possible. We are eternally grateful and would highly recommend Fitzgerald's!

Here's a breakdown of our wedding reception with catering from Fitzgerald's... Planning/Booking: We sat down with Nicholas and went over our ideas, budget and atmosphere we would like to set at our wedding reception. He offered a lot of recommendations and guidance, filling us in on all of the ways to achieve the type of reception we had envisioned within our budget, along with providing us some great hors d'oeuvres to snack on throughout our meeting. After meeting with several caterers we went with Fitzgerald’s because the level of communication stood out. Nicholas was quick to respond to questions and able to walk us through the entire event process while itemizing all of the details. Other caterers that we had met with responded with very canned/prepackaged proposals and sales pitches, we felt that Nicholas truly listened and cared. The Event: They arrived early, quickly setup and had everything ready to go prior to guest arrival. We had large groups of people arriving by bus and were concerned about immediate crowding at the bar, this wasn’t an issue, and service was superb. As we moved through our reception greeting guests, we found everyone extremely pleased and vocal about how good the food was, especially the crab dip. The quality of service was excellent and we were well taken care of. Final Notes: It’s important to add that we DID NOT have a wedding planner, so we had to make sure that everything was in place and coordinate the event setup, wedding party, photography, transportation, timing, and everything else happening at our own reception. A lot of vendors had questions before and during our reception… This was not the case with Nicholas and his team. They came in and put on a perfect performance. There weren’t any questions or any day-of confusion and we can’t thank them enough for that. All of our guests were incredibly pleased with the food and service and we couldn’t be happier.

Nick recently catered for our wedding at Lighthouse Park. We had, in October, a clam bake, and the lobster, steak, and steamers were to die for! He was very easy to work, very personable, answered emails in a timely manner, his staff set up all the centerpieces and tables just as I imagined, and overall was a very good experience. He did question, in a good way, about my table linens and the overlay, however, he listened to me, and admitted he was wrong and had no problem saying that it was one of the most beautiful weddings he's done there. Fitzgerald’s Fine Catering was the perfect choice for our daughter’s wedding in early May @ The Carousel @ Lighthouse Point in New Haven. Nicholas was great to work with right from the first contact our daughter made. He was the most responsive of all the caterers she emailed. He was willing to talk about menu and work with our budget right from the get-go. We enjoyed our tasting through to the leftovers. We heard compliments that the food was not just good wedding food but delicious food. Nicholas’s staff knew the venue and delivered the food and drinks seamlessly. They also received compliments. There was plenty of food - you never want to run out! In fact there was more than enough. The folks @ Fitzgerald’s had the foresight to bring take-out containers so we were able to send guests and park staff home with leftovers which were eagerly accepted. Fitzgerald's did an amazing job with our wedding. We worked closely with Nicholas (the owner) through the entire process. First of all, the food was fantastic. The wedding was a month ago and our guests are still raving about the food. We actually found that no one got very drunk at our wedding (even though several of our guests are big drinkers) because people were eating so much food. Second, the prices were very reasonable for wedding catering. We had a full bar plus a buffet with steak (carved upon request), BBQ brisket, lobster tail, chicken, mussels, vegetables, heavy passed hors d'oeuvres, a s'mores bar, and an ice cream sundae bar, and the price was STILL quite a bit lower than other wedding caterers for the traditional steak/salmon/veggie simple meal. Nicholas doesn't charge a cake-cutting fee, a champagne-pouring fee, or any of the other silly fees. He is really transparent about his costs as well as all taxes and tips. He also pays for his staff's meals, which is a very classy move. I like doing business with good people and Nicholas is a good person. Third, Nicholas handled all the details with ease. We had a 175-person tented reception in a park with no kitchen. Nicholas didn't even flinch. He actually knew the people at the tent company and worked out everything he needed. He got permits through the city and made our lives very easy. Finally, Nicholas made sure we (bride/groom) got to taste all the food. One of my favorite things was getting a tray of all the passed hors d'oeuvres sent it to our table to make sure we didn't miss anything. People kept telling me to make sure I took time to eat at my wedding...well, I was STUFFED at the wedding. I ate so much food that I had to take a break! I am very glad we hired Fitzgerald's Fine Catering. You should hurry and see if your date is available. Their calendar fills up fast!

If I could give Fitzgerald's more than 5 stars, I would. Owner Nicholas Shope was an absolute pleasure to work with, a consummate professional, and darn good cook! Two weeks after the wedding, our guests are still talking about the food. One guest told me the swordfish was the best he had ever tasted. Hiring Fitzgerald's was among the better wedding planning decisions we made. Nicholas went above and beyond for us at every turn. I have no doubt that he treats each and every one of his clients like gold. I feel lucky to have found him.

Nick and Fitzgerald Catering were exceptional caterers for our wedding. They have a lot of experience so they’re able to answer many of your questions and give helpful pointers along the way. My fiancee and I were planning our wedding from very far away and Nick’s help was invaluable in planning not only the catering portion of our event but the entire wedding itself. He clearly knows what goes into making a good wedding and goes the extra mile to ensure that you have a great day. On to the food - it is excellent! We had a wedding of about 100 people and all of our dishes were cooked perfectly and deliciously (according to us and all of our guests!). The meat was tender, the vegetables flavorful and the fish cooked to perfection. Throw in the excellent deal you get when you work with Fitzgerald’s and I really can’t imagine being happier with the food quality and price. Furthermore, the staff was excellent, true pros. They were extremely attentive to us and our guests. They were also friendly and engaging, always making sure that people were having a good time. If you’re planning a wedding in Connecticut, I really can’t recommend Fitzgerald’s catering enough. They serve delicious food at a reasonable price, know how to help you plan a fantastic wedding and are all around experts at catering!

Nick, we can't say thank you enough for the job well done! With John and I having to pick up everything and move 900 miles away right before our wedding, we had a lot of things to worry about but the catering for our wedding was not one of them. Nick is on the ball. He was able to achieve the "gourmet barbecue" style we wanted for our menu and it was simply fantastic! Everyone warned me, "At your wedding you won't even get a chance to eat", but while I made my rounds at dinner, the food looked amazing and everyone was ranting and raving about how delicious it was...you better believe I hurried back to my table so I didn't miss out! Fitzgerald's was BY FAR the most reasonable in price and let me tell you we scoured all of CT and FL at one point for caterers. He and his crew truly go above and beyond and it's an awesome feeling to not be nickel and dimed during an already stressful time. Nick and crew - thanks again for an amazing time.
