Went on a Monday because most other places were closed, sadly a mistake. We were seated immediately which was nice and our waiter greeted us within five minutes, it was downhill from there. Ordered the spinach artichoke app which was tasty but lacking in depth. My beer stated it was a NE style IPA but after seeing and tasting it I realized this wasn't the case. I had to flag my waitress down as she passed by my empty glass to ask for a second beer (yes I still drank the beer). My steak was ordered medium but came out well done and void of any flavor. The check was delivered, the third time our waitress stopped by, and 98 dollars later we were out the door. I'm willing to try again but I'll research my beer on Untapped before selecting and I'll stick to straight bar food.

Food was good typical of an Eli's restaurant. There is a huge basketball hoop game in the middle of the bar, very odd placement making access to tables and walking awkward. Bathroom was very poorly maintained.

Add much as I want to like Eli's, the restaurant makes it hard. I've been there three times and tried to eat at the bar. Service was always very slow and tonight I sat at the bar for 20 minutes without being asked for a drink order. The two times i was served, the food was good but bar staff is not attentive.

YUM! Stayed at a hotel 5mins away and went here last night for dinner. Got hungry looking at the photos online. I had the huge pretzel, burger was really moist but I'm not very happy with the calamari. Still, it was a nice cozy place. Nice staff and bartender.

The place wasn't busy at all and we were there at 7:30pm. We ordered salads, one with blackened chicken, the other with crab cakes. The svc was as slow as can be. It took about 30+ min to get them.In the meantime she could have brought us bread. Then to get someone to get our check took another 15 min. And what seemed to be the manager walked by our table and area numerous times seeing us just sitting there and finished eating and not once did she stop at our table. We finally got her to get our waitress to get our check. Horrible!! We will not go back there.

On 1/31/18 my husband and I decided to go to Eli’s, which became on of our favorite restaurant after moving to Connecticut and attending a Christmas Party, which was Hosted at Eli’s. Today we went to the Eli’s in Orange. The hostess sat us in the bar area. Once we were seated we began looking over the menu. Fourteen minutes had passed and we were not greeted, since we were seated. The waitess passed us several times and did not acknowledge us. Minutes later a table was seated across from us. The unknown waitress greeted the table and took a drink order. After visiting another table then she finally comes over to take our order. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED about what happened today. The manger came out briefly, but tried to blame the hostess. I called Cooperate and I’m waiting to hear back from them. I will also try to make contact with The General Manger Kevin on Friday February 1st when he return. Eli's gets a one star!

Good spot. I had lunch with their signature chicken dish. I was a little bit spicy and very good...much like chicken scarpiello. The other people in my party enjoyed their lunch very much. Came in on Sunday night aroud 8pm. Resturant was at less then 1/2 the capacity. I waited 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. Workers looked me and didn't even give me a "hello" or "be with you in a moment". Finally after being seated I waited another 10 minutes for a menu when the waitress came back to me with a menu I got up and left. First time and the last time I'll ever go here. Poor teamwork, poor service, and poor manegment

Nice variety on menu. Nice portion sizes, plenty of food. Chile Line Shrimp salad was very good - I appreciated the waitress asking if we wanted dressing on the side. Braised short rib special was excellent. A little pricy overall, especially for add-ons, but who the food was very good. Don't go if you hate a lot of TVs playing!

A VERY nice lunch! We happened upon Eli's purely by accident, we were just trying to feed a hungry 6 year old. The hamburgers were expertly cooked, the portion sizes were generous and everything was brought to our table by Jess, our always smiling waitress! We will be sure to return next trip to Orange!

Eli's Restaurant in Orange is amazing. I have visited this restaurant twice and both times I have had fabulous experiences. There are not many places that are able to accommodate several food allegories (I have many: dairy, soy, whey, egg, artificial sweeteners), so finding a restaurant that can/willing to accommodate is a rare find. On my first visit which was for Sunday brunch; our server Eric did not seem annoyed or frustrated by my allergy situation and took the time with me to go through the menu to find meals I could have or that the kitchen could modify for me. Eric made me feel comfortable and I did not feel rushed to decide. I picked a breakfast meal which was wonderful and very reasonably priced ($10). Once we received our meals, Eric checked on us at reasonable intervals (not too often nor did we need to look for him if we needed something). He was very attentive to our table while serving other tables as well. My second visit was for lunch. We were fortunate to have Eric as a server again and he was absolutely incredible yet again (even remembering me from my first visit and that I have several allergies to work around). This time I decided to have a steak with homemade fries and fresh broccoli. The steak was huge and the fries were amazing, even the broccoli was cook nicely (not too hard and not too soft). There was so much food that I only could eat half, so I took the other half home and was able to have a second meal. I highly recommend Eli's, great décor comfortable and inviting, wonderful food, and outstanding service! I plan to revisit Eli's frequently.

Great food and great service. My office used for catering and they did a nice spread. Very surprised that the salmon wasn't fishy and tasted amazing (I am not a salmon lover either). Restaurant dining room can accommodate large and small groups. Prices are very reasonable.

I have been to many of the Eli’s and had great experiences, the is good the service is always good, and the decor is nice. This was my first time in orange and it was extremely hot in dining room to the point I left and went to a competitor. The bar area was crowded with a ver loud party crowd which resonated into the dining room. This is not typical for an Eli’s.

Eli's is a group/chain, but the staff at each restaurant make you feel like you're at home, the farthest possible thing from the indifference of a large franchise or chain restaurant. The food is good and the beer is excellent. They partner with local breweries to bring new and interesting beers to constantly keep a subset of the taps rotating. The management and bar tenders are frequently throwing events to fundraise for good causes, decorating the restaurant and doing other creative things to keep the experience there fun and fresh. The bar area has more than 20 TVs with every live sporting event you could want. If you want a quieter, sit down meal the restaurant side is great. The bathrooms are very clean, and the women's room has a changing table

The bottles they served us water in were pretty dirty and I felt sick the next day. Used to be better but seems to have gone a bit downhill. They also totally forgot my burger so it came out 15 minutes after everyone else and then it was overcooked.

Why pay $16 for steakumms? My sandwich literally had 3 mushrooms (for $1 upcharge) and less meat than you get from subway. What a waste of time! My daughter ordered fish & chips ($18) and was given 2 small pieces of fish -no way is that worth it! Also, they refilled my nephew's drink 3 times while ignoring my husband each time. This is the first and last time we'll ever come here.

My husband and I tried the Eli's in Orange few months ago and really liked it. The staff, especially Morgan who's served us several times, are friendly and check periodically to see how we're doing. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie twice and couldn't believe how huge it was and how exceptionally tasty. I've had several different dishes and my favorites are the chicken wings (succulent) and Ceasar's salad (Eli's serves the romaine heart leaves, not the limpy outer ones like other restaurants). We had a nice chat with the manager, Kevin. He's a hard worker & is making the restaurant a big success in Orange. I have recommended it to friends.

Probably the second-best Eli's location, but its close to home so its our go-to place to eat bar food and watch sports. Tons of TV's and they will accommodate anything you want to watch. For big games they sometimes play audio. The staff here is fantastic, they remember their customers, are very friendly, and attentive. During the week Eli's Orange is perfect for a quick dinner and a beer, or a nice lunch, but watch out on the weekends as it can get pretty packed. The Friday Happy Hour crowd is always fun to witness. Semi-awkward groups of work friends that are just feeling out their social side. Hey, at least Eli's brought them together! Saturday nights, it's the spot for the middle-aged, suburbanite married couples. Rocking out and partying until about 10pm. However, there's always a spot at the bar in the restaurant. Food is decent. Cant go wrong with an enormous plate of nachos, and people seem to like the buffalo egg rolls.
